BH Cosmetics Chic 14 Piece Brush Set Review

Hey beaut's!

I'm a serious makeup brush addict, I just cant resist collecting makeup brushes and putting them to the test and recently I got the most beautiful makeup brushes by BH Cosmetics to try. I'm totally new to BH Cosmetics so I had no idea what to expect from these brushes but I have to put it straight out there... I love them!
The BH Cosmetics Chic Brush Set* consists of 14 cruelty free - synthetic brushes which all have gorgeous peach/rose gold coloured handles and two tones bristles, I mean just look how lovely they are, they even come with a matching cosmetics bag too! The set includes all the essentials you need for the face, eyes and lips from beautifully blended eye make-up looks, to sharp on point brows, pouty lips and even a flawless base, the list is literally endless with what you can do with these beauties! Because the brushes are synthetic they can all be used with creams, powders and liquids and honestly beaut's, these are hands down the softest brushes I have ever felt in my entire makeup obsessed life! They feel so gentle and fluffy against my skin and are not scratchy in the slightest!
Here's a full rundown of the brushes within the set, going from left to right in the above picture.....
1. Angled Powder Brush - Perfect for setting powder, bronzer and contour.
2. Medium Powder Brush - Perfect for bronzer and blusher.
3. Small Powder Brush - I've actually used this to buff in liquid foundation and for powder highlighting and it works amazingly at both.
4. Angled Crease Brush - The perfect crease blender as well as highlighting smaller area's of the face like the nose, cupids bow and brow bones.
5. Medium Flat Eyeshadow Brush - Great for packing on glitter shadow.
6. Medium Oval Eyeshadow Brush - Great for packing on eyeshadow.
7. Eyeshadow Blending Brush - An essential for blending out all eyeshadow work.
8. Concealer Brush - For blending in concealer around the eyes or striping on cream contour.
9. Small Concealer Brush - For concealing blemishes and smaller hard to reach areas.
10. Flat Eyeliner Brush - Great for carving out brows with concealer.
11. Angled Eyeliner Brush - Perfect for applying gel eyeliner or filling in brows.
12. Oval Lip Brush - Great for creating the perfect pout.
13. Standard Lip Brush - Much like the oval lip brush this one is also great for getting the perfect pouty lips.
14. Precision Eyeliner Brush - The most precise eyeliner brush.
It's hard to choose my favourite brushes out of the 14 because I've actually been using them all a lot and their all so versatile, the Angled Crease Brush and the Eyeshadow Blending Brush have been my essentials when it comes to well blended eyeshadow looks, they literally blend like a dream, and the Medium Flat Eyeshadow Brush has been my go to when I want to pack colour onto my lids! The three face brushes I have been using every single day for setting powder, bronzer and highlighter and the Angled Eyeliner Brush I've actually been using for my brows which works a treat!
Overall I'm so impressed with this 14 Piece Set by BH Cosmetics, you honestly wouldn't need any other brushes at all if you got this set because it has everything and each brush is so versatile. They all work like a dream too and never shed, they look absolutely stunning and they are the softest brushes I own, what more could you ask for! My first experience of trying BH Cosmetics has definitely been a good one and now I really want to try some of their makeup too, their palettes look lush!

Valentines Makeup Picks - Pink Edition!

Hey beaut's!

With Valentines Day only a few days away I thought it was the perfect time to dust off some of my favourite pretty pink makeup products and switch things around in my makeup bag. I love delicate pink and rose gold hues in makeup, theres something so sweet and feminine about them and all of my current pinky picks can easily be carried through into Spring time too.

My favourite combo for eyeshadow looks over the Valentines period is my Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay with Maybellines Color Tattoo in Pink Gold as my base, these work so well together and the amount of looks I can create is endless, whether I want something subtle for daytime or more dramatic for a date night the Naked 3 Palette has me covered. I've also been super impressed by Maybellines Blushed Nudes Palette, it's so similar to the Naked 3 Palette and the quality is great too considering its a drugstore palette, so if your looking for an alternative I'd highly recommend the Blushed Nudes Palette.

I've always been a fan of pinks and mauve's on my lips and MAC's Brave lippie teamed with their Soar lip liner is a match made in Valentines/Spring heaven. For nails... I've finally put my darker shades away this week and pulled out some of my pretty pastels and to be honest I couldn't wait to put Barry M's Surfboard back on my nails, it was a firm favourite of mine last year. To add a pink flush to my cheeks I've been obsessed with my super affordable Miss Sporty Insta Glow Blusher in Glowing Mauve, this has a subtle sheen running through it (no glitter) and just looks so dewy, healthy and glowing!

And lastly for fragrance I'm all about Jimmy Choo's Blossom, this is such a lovely perfume that opens up with sweet, juicy notes and then surprisingly it turns into a somewhat floral, fruity mash up which is so nice and very spring /summer, I love it for this time of the year.

What are your favourite 'pinks' to wear around Valentines? I'd love to know?

Imperial Leather Comforting Marshmallow Shower Cream Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

When I heard Imperial Leather had released a Sweets range of shower creams I just knew I had try them out, as far as I know their are four sweet scents in the collection to choose from, theres Mouthwatering Fruit Salad, Uplifting Sherbet Lemon, Stimulating Spearmint and Comforting Marshmallow which of course I just had to buy.

Comforting Marshmallow was easily sold to me by the look and sound of it, I mean just look at that packaging, it's pink and girlie and quite frankly I just couldn't resist it. As far as shower gels go Comforting Marshmallow is pretty good and does get the job done, it lathers up really well when used with a loofah and feels so soft and creamy against my skin whilst I'm washing. I think it's obvious that the scent is the real selling point here and I must admit that was what I was most excited about when buying this shower cream and my goodness it didn't disappoint, it smells so soft, fluffy, sugary sweet and very feminine just like your showering in a sea of marshmallows, for some it might be slightly sickly but I absolutely love sweet, sugary scents so that isn't a problem for me, the scent also seems to linger on my skin slightly after getting out of the shower which I absolutely adore. If you are looking for a shower gel with hydrating qualities then Comforting Marshmallow wont be for you, whilst it never dried my skin out at all it is just your average shower gel but with an amazing scent and cute packaging.

Overall I think Imperial Leather's 'Sweets' range is an absolute hit and after falling in love with Comforting Marshmallow so much I now want to try Mouthwatering Fruit Salad so bad he he.

Imperial Leathers Comforting Marshmallow Shower Cream is usually priced at £1.80 but you can find in on offer in so many places at the moment, I got mine from Tesco's a little while back when it was 90p but Superdrug currently have the range priced at just 85p so I'd highly recommend trying them out or stocking up now as I know I will be.

Barry M Make Me Blush Cream Blusher Review ♥

Hi beaut's!

Has anyone else noticed how Barry M have stepped up their makeup game recently?? Being totally honest I've never really given Barry M's makeup a second look until a few months ago when I bought and fell in love with their little contour palette, I'd always buy their nail polishes religiously but I'd always skip past their makeup but this year they have launched some very pretty things that I just had to buy. The first thing I decided to pick up was their Make Me Blush Cream Blusher in Rhubarb Crumble and I absolutely love it!
Barry M's Make Me Blush Cream Blusher (£4.49) comes in the cutest pink and white plastic packaging that's covered in little love hearts, it's just so girlie and sweet and lures me in every time, it also has a twist up mechanism at the bottom to push up the product meaning theres no need for a sharpener woohoo. As I said before I opted for the shade Rhubarb Crumble which is a pretty, light pink shade which is ideal for creating that everyday rosy glow, their are two other shades in the collection, a peach shade and a dark pink but Rhubarb Crumble was by far my favourite out of the three. The formula of Barry M's Make Me Blush Cream Blusher is gorgeous, it's infused with a fruity vitamin E punch, Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter which makes the blush a dream to work with, it literally glides on giving a beautifully even coverage and blends out an absolute dream with either the warmth of your fingers or with a brush .
The pigmentation of Rhubarb Crumble is very strong but it blends out subtly, you could easily keep applying layers until you get the intensity your looking for but personally I love that subtle look. The finish of Barry M's Make Me Blush Cream Blusher is semi matte but looks extremely dewy on the cheek, it's odd because when I swatch it on the back of my hand it's obvious it has a cream to powder finish but on the cheeks it doesn't look matte at all, just dewy, healthy and glowing.
Overall I absolutely love this little cream blush stick, it's just so quick and easy to use, adds a subtle pop of colour to the cheeks and lasts a good 6 plus hours on me which I think is amazing, it can even be doubled up as a lip balm to add a nice sheer pop of colour.

Have you tried any of the Barry M Make Me Blush Cream Blusher's beaut's?? What ones your favourite?? I'd love to know!!

Pretty in Pink | Outfit Wishlist Post #4

Hey beaut's!

Today I'm back with another outfit wishlist post filled with pretty pink things from fashion to beauty that I'm lusting after at the moment. Im just obssessed with pastel/baby pink right now, I think it's fair to say my girlie side is completly coming out at the moment haha.

Yankee Candle Pink Dragon Fruit Tart Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

I'm back with another Yankee Candle review for you all today, I'm really enjoying writing up these sort of post's, I've reviewed Summer Scoop and Shea Butter so far so I think this is going to be a definite new feature on my blog, well I am a candle addict after all he he.

Pink Dragon Fruit has been around since 2012 and surprisingly I had never tried it before now, I'm so glad it caught my eye when I was in the shop and finally tried it because it smells absolutely divine and has fast become one of my favourite Yankee Candle scents for the Summer. The scent of Pink Dragon Fruit itself is very tropical and slightly sweet and my goodness it's packed full of fragrance, it isn't long after it first starts to melt that you can really smell it quite obviously and your house is filled with the aroma, this is a strong one beaut's! Because Pink Dragon Fruit has that slight sweet element about it I was expecting it to be slightly sickly but I can honestly say it isn't, just very tropical and fruity and absolutely screams Summer! Also is it sad that I love the shade of pink it is ha ha, wowza I'm girlie aren't I ha ha.

All the Yankee Candle wax tart melts claim to provides up to 8 hours of fragrance but personally I find they last sooooo much longer, I can literally have the wax tarts burning in my tart burner for weeks and they still fragrance the entire house which is amazing and such great value for money considering they only set you back £1.49 each.

Have you tried the Pink Dragon Fruit scent before beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!!

NEW Makeup Revolution The One Blush Sticks

 Hey beaut's!

It's fair to say Makeup Revolution are on 'new release' fire at the moment, they just seem to be releasing new and exciting makeup constantly and I'm pretty sure that I'm not alone in saying that I'm loving it! This time around we have a collection of 8 new products to get stupidly excited about, yup Makeup Revolution have done it again and got me addicted to their NEW 'The One Blush Sticks'.
The all new 'The One Blush Sticks'* (£5.00 each) by Makeup Revolution are designed for multiple use across your Cheeks and Lips and can be used dry for hi-intensity colour payoff or wet for a smooth sheer finish. There are 8 of 'The One Blush Sticks'* to choose from, 4 of which are matte and the other 4 are shimmers, I personally love how they've created the same shades but in the two finishes, I don't know about you but I often find myself liking a particular shade in something but wishing it was a matte finish instead of a shimmer or vise versa so I'm very happy that Makeup Revolution have chosen to do that.
The packaging of 'The One Blush Sticks' I really do favour, they look like large lipstick tubes and turn up from the bottom just like lipsticks do, to define the matte finishes to the shimmers finishes Makeup Revolution have actually matched the packaging to the finish, so the shimmer finish blushes have glossy packaging where as the matte finish blushes have matte packaging which I think is a really good idea, however I do wish they had the shade names on them as the shades names only appear on the outta cardboard box. I know alot of you will be thinking that 'The One Blush Sticks' look very much like the popular Nars Multiples, but having never tried or owned one I'm not going to be able to tell you whether these are a dupe or not, however there is definitely potential!
The formula of all these blush sticks is lovely and creamy, easy to work with and the pigmentation is amazing, trust me when I say a little goes a long way with these. I love how you have plenty of blending time with all of these blush sticks, they don't dry/set quickly which I prefer as it gives you time to blend blend blend and get your blush/bronzer completely even and exactly how you want it.

The shade range of 'The One Blush Sticks' collection is really lovely, I've have gone into more detail below for you all...
Matte Dream is a girlie, baby pink shade, great if you want a subtle blush look that day and it's perfect for paler skin tones too.
Matte Pink is very similar to the shimmer pink, but because of its matte formula it's darker in pigmentation and more vibrant on the cheeks.
Matte Rush is a bright coral-orange shade full of pigmentation.
Matte Malibu is perfect for cream contouring because it lays/blends perfectly on the skin without any shimmers running through it.
Dream is a sheer baby pink shade that's perfect to use as a cream highlighter, it gives the same affect as Benefits High Beam would give which I love.
Pink is great for creating those pretty pink cheeks and is perfect for everyday wear.
Rush is a beautiful yet subtle coral shade that contains lots of finely milled gold shimmers, I could see this looking beautiful in the Spring/Summer months.

Malibu is a cream bronzer shade and again has some finely milled gold shimmers running through it to give you that Summer glow.

Overall I absolutely love this new release from Makeup Revolution, is their anything they cant do he he, It really is hard to believe that Makeup Revolution only launched six months ago, I feel like I've been loving their makeup for years not months he he.

Have you trued any of these Blush Sticks beaut's?? Which one is your favourite?? I'd love to know.

Devine Nails Review ♥

Hey girlie's!!!

I was recently contacted by the lovely Laura from Divine Nails* and asked if I'd like to review a set of her bespoke hand painted false nails. After having a browse at all the false nails Laura had created I jumped at the chance, as we all know I'm slightly obsessed with having nice nails especially during the festive season he he.

Laura from Devine Nails, which is based in Derry, Northern Ireland is very talented and extremely creative, she custom makes every set of false nails exactly how you want them. You can choose the colour, design, style and size, how brilliant is that!!!

The set of false nails I received was the Poppin Pink Nails With Added Glitz*, and they certainly are poppin pink, they are a gorgeous bright fuchsia pink colour with some silver glittery nails to use as accent nails and some thumb nails with 5 little silver circle gems that sit on the nail to make a triangular shape, they are certainly a set of false nails any girly girl would love!!! The way the nails where packaged was lovely, the nails came delicately wrapped in pink girly tissue paper and popped into a little Purple bag along with some nail glue. I received 17 nails in total, which I think is brilliant as you have a variety of sizes to choose from for the perfect fit.

I found the quality of the nails to be really good, they don't feel flimsy at all and the decorative parts of the nails don't ping off either which is a bonus. The nails are also reusable as long as you remove them properly, so no picking and pinging your nails off ha ha however tempting it may be. All you have to do is soak your nails in a bowl of warm water for around 5 minutes, check too see if your false nails are wobbly or loose and if they are they should come off really easily when you touch them, if not, continue to soak them until they become loose.

Overall I think Devine Nails are such a good idea, they're great for any of us girlie's who decide to go out at the very last minute as you can literally pop your nails on within 5 minutes and your good to go, also if you like to switch things up abit you could get yourself a couple of sets but in different lengths and different designs and change them up as much or as little as you like. The nails are also really affordable with prices starting at just £6.00 depending on your design.

If you'd like to have a look at Laura's nail designs you can find her on twitter @DevineNails1 or you can pop over and give her facebook page a read/like here.

Laura is really lovely and helpful so if you do have any questions for her don't hesitate to ask, also I dare you all to pop over and have a look at her festive nails, they are adorable he he.

MUA Mosaic Blush in English Rose | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

I stumbled across this blush on the MUA stand in Superdrug recently, now I've never seen this mosaic style blush on the MUA stand in my Superdrug before, they've always had the bronzers but never the blush so considering it was a bargain of only £2.50 i thought it would be rude not to try it, so i made a cheeky purchase.

I chose 'English Rose' which i believe to be the only mosaic style blush MUA do, it contains lots of little segments and within each segment are different shades of pink with the odd lilac shade thrown into the mix, all the shades within the mosaic have a pearl/shimmer finish with no matte or glitter particles running through any of the little segments at all.

For me, i prefer to use this blush as a highlighter, it leaves too much of a pearl finish for me to use as a blush but it makes the most gorgeous pink toned highlighter, it really reminds me of a powder version of Benefits High Beam. When i swirled my finger around all the segments for a swatch the pigmentation does look quite strong but when used with a brush it goes on alot more sheer and shimmery therefore giving you more of a highlight affect however... If you like a shimmery blush then this would look really pretty once you've built up some colour.

As for the packaging... It doesn't really differ from most of the MUA range, its cheap and cheerful and does the job although as with the little £1 blushes i do find the packaging difficult to open, there's certainly no chance that they will open in your handbag that's for sure. All in all i do really like the blush used as a highlight, its really pretty and certainly affordable. Have your tried any of the MUA Mosaic Range??? What did you think???

Angelica Florence Accessories Pave Bracelet | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

Recently the lovely Clare from Angelica Florence Accessories contacted me asking if i would like to try an item of jewellery from her website, i jumped at the chance as i love me some bling haha, Clare kindly let me choose a bracelet from the website and within a few days it arrived. I honestly couldn't be happier with it, its so pretty.

Ivory & Pink Pave Bracelet £28.99

When the bracelet arrived it was wrapped carefully in tissue paper and had been slotting inside a little luxury fuchsia coloured suede pouch. The bracelet i chose was the 'Ivory & Pink Pave Bracelet', its made up of glass ivory pearls and finished off with a gorgeous 10mm pink crystal pave bead with all the fittings being silver plated. One thing that is super awesome about the website is that you can choose between three different bracelet sizes, if your anything like me and have tiny wrists then you wont have to worry that the bracelet will be too big. You can opt for a Small 6.5 inch, Medium 7.5 inch or a Large 8.5 inch, they all come with an inch chain extender too so you can choose how tight or loose you want the bracelet to be for your own comfort.

All the jewellery on the website is handmade with the specification that it will be dispatched as soon as possible. The website has such beautiful jewellery to choose from such as necklaces, earrings, bridal jewellery, engraved jewellery and of course the pretty bracelets and they all come in different colours and designs too so theres something for everyone.

All in all i adore my bracelet and love what the website has to offer, i think its not only great if you want to treat yourself to something sparkly and precious but also the jewellery would make such lovely prezzies for Birthdays or Christmas aswell.

Have you checked out the Angelica Florence website??? What did you think???

Barry M Glitter Nail Paints | Review & Swatches

As you may or may not know I'm a huge glitter polish fan, anything that sparkles I'm instantly drawn too and i usually have to buy, so i decided to pick 2 more little beauties up. I know these Glitter Jewel Nail Paints have been out for sometime and i do own a few from the collection but i thought 2 more wouldn't hurt he he.

Pink Sapphire is great for all those girlie girls out there that love abit of bright pink sparkle.
Its a clear base with minute bright pink glitter flecks in, the bigger glitter particles come in 2 shapes, hexagons and small chunks of bar type glitter.

The colours of all the glitters inside are so pretty, the small bars of glitter tend to be sliver and holographic and the hexagons are a bright pink with the odd hexagon that's silver and holographic too.

This makes a beautiful top coat for so many shades or even if you wanted to play it safe you could just go for a glittery ring finger instead.

Rose Quartz is absolutely crammed full of glitter and great if you want a burst of glitter on the nails. Rose Quartz is a clear base polish with minute holographic flecks and is also crammed with rose pink hexagon glitters inside.

I would use 1 coat as a more full on glitter top coat as there's so much glitter inside this polish  but 2 coats could give you complete sparkle mania nails.

On a whole I'm really impressed with these and they look so pretty. I brought mine from Superdrug for £2.99, what a bargain for such beautiful glitter polishes.

Have you tried any of these?? What did you think??

MUA Nail Polish | Review & Swatches

Hey girlie's!!!

Recently i decided to try the MUA nail polishes for the very first time...yes I'm slightly late on the ole £1 MUA nail polish bandwagon but the Superdrug in my town has always sold out of the pretty colours that I'm after. Ive been waiting patiently and finally got my hands on the shades i was after 'yipee'.

First nail swatch 1 coat, second nail swatch 2 coats.

Natural Days is a pretty light pastel pink colour, its very girlie and fabulous for either Spring of Summer wear. I used 2 thick coats of this to make it completely opaque as with just the one coat it was a little streaky.

First nail swatch 1 coat, second nail swatch 2 coats.

Pistachio Ice Cream is my favourite out of the 3 i picked up, i just adore it. Its a mint pastel green colour which i think is fab for summer. Id never tried a greenish nail polish before but i instantly fell in love with this, even the shade name is adorable. I found 1 coat of this was completely opaque, but i went for 2 coats for extra lasting power. This shade is also a great dupe for Essie's Mint Candy Apple.

First nail swatch 1 coat, second nail swatch 2 coats.

Ameretto Crush is more of a everyday shade that you could wear no matter what season we're in so i bought it whilst it was finally in stock. Its a muted dusky rose pink colour which i thought to be quite unusual, i certainly don't own a polish this colour so i thought id give it a whirl. Id definitely say 2 coats will give u maxium colour with this and it leaves quite a nice glossy finish too.

I'm really impressed with all 3 of these little bargains, if i had to round it up id say, they all dried really quick, the formula is quite runny with all so the polish itself applies quite thinish coats of polish which sometimes can be streaky but as soon as you apply the second coat i found all mine to be completely opaque without a streak in sight. The packaging is super cute, i love how all the shades now have names instead of numbers too and the fact they are all £1 each is just brill.

Have you tried any of these shades?? What did you think??
