Topshop Nail Polish In One Hot Minute & Blitz | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

After umming and ahhing for a super long time as to whether i should try the Topshop nail polishes i finally caved and picked up two gorgeous shades, i opted for 'One Hot Minute' and 'Blitz' both of which i thought would be great shades to wear during the run up to the Autumn/Winter months, although i did spend a while just taking in all the shades as there's just so many pretty colours to choose from, i was in total nail polish heaven. I also adore the packaging, i mean its just so cute, I'm a sucker for good packaging and nine times out of ten if it looks good ill buy it and these certainly look good and would look lovely on your dressing table or within your make up storage.

Anywhooo onto what these pretty polishes are like...

One Hot Minute £5

One Hot Minute is a gorgeous magenta shade that has that lovely autumn berry vibe which i adore. The formula is great, it applies smooth and evenly giving you total opacity after just 2 coats and gives you a lovely glossy finish so you could skip using a top coat if you wished. The polish also dried in record time which is great considering no where on the packaging does it state its a fast drying polish, it also lasted well on my nails I'd say a good five days with a top coat. Ive also noticed this shade is a great dupe for YSL Rose Baby Doll, what a brucie bonus he he. One Hot Minute retails for £5 in most Topshop stores and on the Topshop website.

Blitz £6

Blitz is a rich pinky/purple shade with an orange metallic sheen to it that i find to be only visible in certain light. Like 'One Hot Minute' the formula is great but i find this shade goes on alot more sheer and i found i needed 3 thick coats for total opacity and leaves you with a lovely smooth glossy finish on the nail. Blitz lasted on me around 5-6 days, one thing i have noticed is these polishes certainly don't chip easily which is great. Blitz is from the metallic range and retails for £6 in most Topshop stores and on the Topshop Website.

As a whole I'm super impressed with the Topshop nail polishes and i definitely want to get myself a little collection going, I'm now also intrigued to see what the make up is like he he.

Whats your favourite Topshop Nail Polish Shade??? Id love to know.

July Favourites ♥

Hey girlie's!!!

I cant quite believe its that time again.... July favourites time. I honestly cant believe how quick July has gone although i do love the fact that August is just around the corner as i have lots planned in August he he anywhooo... I thought i would share with you all my favourite beauty products I've been loving throughout this past month... So here goes...

Ive been addicted to this nail polish recently... The shade is just so pretty and versatile for all seasons and the quality of the actual polish itself is amazing!!! The Gelly Hi-Shine range is completely faultless in my opinion, i have done a full review on 'Pomegranate' you can take a peek here.

Superdrug's B.Pure Micellar Water is the only micellar water I've ever tried so i cant compare this to something like Bioderma but what i do know is i love this B.Pure little gem. It cleanses your skin so gently and removes all traces of makeup with ease, its kept my skin completely clear from spots and i can honestly say i can see an improvement in my skin too. I'm so happy to have discovered this as i can see it being in my skin care routine for a long time.

This Collection Cream Puff in 'Cotton Candy' has become my new best friend ha ha. I honestly thought when i bought it 'how could a matte lip cream be moisturising??? But its blooming lovely!! Its not drying at all and has such amazing staying power, i also love the fact that's its the perfect shade for daytime or evening wear. Check out my full review here.

Usually I'm strictly all about the Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes but a while ago i was rummaging through all my makeup and i came across the 'MUA Undressed Palette' so thought id give it a go again, I'm so happy i did as its gorgeous. Its an amazing dupe for the 'Naked' palette but I've actually found the lasting power of the MUA eye shadows in this palette to be alot better than the Urban Decay ones, i couldn't quite believe it. The quality of each eyeshadow is amazing, the pigmentation is great even on the matte shades and the palette is priced at only £4 yup that's right £4.... Bargain Alert!!!

When the weathers been hot in the UK recently I've been enjoying adding a pop of colour to my lips and Revlon's Kiss Me Coral has done just that... Its such a pretty summer shade and although I'm not a massive gloss fan this is among my very few favourite glosses. If you want gorgeous summer time lips then this is your shade.

Usually I'm addicted to this stuff in Autumn/Winter when the weathers frosty and your skin need lots of TLC but for some reason i just slapped a load on when i got out the shower a few weeks ago and it reminded me just how much i love it and I've been addicted again ever since. Its smells amazing and the scent lingers on your skin the next day which i love, its super thick so you feel completely moisturised and leaves it your skin feeling super duper soft. If you haven't tried this before then you need to get yourself to Boots as your missing out on a beauty must have he he.

What's been your favourite beauty products this month?? I'd love to know :)

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Pomegranate | Review

Hey girlie's!!

I know I've reviewed some other shades in the Gelly Hi-Shine range before but i couldn't help giving 'Pomegranate' some extreme love of its own. Ive been after this particular shade for so long, for some reason my Superdrug hasn't stocked it for month's so on a recent shopping trip out of town i spotted it in Boots, i went slightly mad with excitement then purchased it ha ha.

Pomegranate is a beautiful vibrant pink-red shade that looks lovely on either finger nails or your toes. It has a lovely thickish formula that i find is completely opaque after just one coat and applies really even and easy.

The Gelly Hi-Shine range have such a gorgeous finish, its so shiny and really gives you the effect of gel manicured nails. The range is great if you want an easy to use no faffing around nail polish,  i find the drying time to be quick, there's no messing around with applying lots of coats as its completely opaque after just one and there's no need for a top coat either...Brilliant!!! Whats better is its super long lasting on the nails and doesn't chip very easily, so in the long run you'll save yourself some time.

This shade 'Pomegranate' is my absolute favourite to wear at the moment, i literally cant get enough of it. I picked mine up in Boots for £3.99 which i think is fabulous for such a high quality nail polish. Have you tried these Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints before?? What did you think???

Beauty UK Nail Polish | Review

Hey girlie's!!!!

Ive had this Beauty UK nail polish for quite sometime but i had forgotten about it until just recently, the reason for me stumbling across this brand was actually because the clothes store i work in has a large stand of Beauty UK makeup so I'm always looking at it at work and just thought why not give the nail polish a go.

The colour i picked up is 'Metallic Red No 25' id say its more a metallic pink myself but hey ho. The polish itself id say is a pinky colour with red undertones with lots and lots of finally milled pinky red and silver glitter particles running through it, it really is pretty!!!! The polish sits very flat on the nail which i was surprised at as i thought with the amount of glitter running through it , it may feel slightly bumpy or gritty but it didn't.

The nail polish applied lovely, completely streak free with just one coat although you do need two coats for it to be completely opaque, drying time was extremely quick and it doesn't claim anywhere to be quick drying so that's quite impressive. The lasting power was OK, i went around 3 days until there was noticeable chipping but that was without a top coat so I'm hoping with a top coat this would last longer than the three days.

All in all I'm really impressed with this nail polish and would definitely buy Beauty UK polish again. As far as i know Beauty UK Makeup and Polish is available online, Superdrug and selected 'Select Fashion' stores. The polishes are a bargain of just £1.99 each for 14ml sized bottles.

Have you tried Beauty UK before??? What did you think???

Sally Hanson Nail Shine Miracle Top Coat | Review

Hey girlie's!!

If there's one thing i love is nice painted nails but sometimes the upkeep is hard and i hate it when i get the odd chip here and there so I've been on the look out for a good inexpensive top coat for a while. Whilst on my shopping adventures i picked up 'Sally Hanson's Nail Shine Miracle' a top coat that claims to reduce wear and tear for up to 10 days, well that was me completely sold....

I applied 1 thick coat on top of my original nail polish as directed and loved the immediate high shine glossy finish, it took a good 10-15 to dry completely without being tacky or me being worried id smudge it, so this would be no good if your in an absolute rush... Onto the lasting power, i found this top coat lasted good 6-7 days on me before it started to chip although the glossy finish wore off within a few days of application. I'm actually pleased with how well the top coat lasted considering I'm quite a hands on person, i do lots of housework and washing up and am constantly using my hands at work so my nails do go through quite alot.

As you can see from the before and after pictures on Day 1 my nails where looking nice and vibrant and glossy, by Day 7 i had some slight chipping at the top of my nail and the polish doesn't look as glossy or as vibrant but it did keep quite good coverage of colour over my nail so i am quite impressed, its certainly the longest lasting top coat I've ever tried that's for sure.

I picked mine up when i made a Fragrance Direct order for £2.99 which i thought was a very reasonable price for a good top coat. The only real downside for me was the drying time as I'm always on the go but other than that i like it.

Have your tried any good top coats??? Let me know your thoughts???

Glossybox July 2013 | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

So its Glossybox time again and i cant tell you how excited I've been waiting for this box to arrive, theres something about a summer themed box that just gets me all happy. It also couldn't have come at a better time considering the temperatures are souring in the UK at the moment so it all seems rather fitting for the 'Seaside Splash' box.

Last month its fair to say i was pretty disappointed with the boxes contents but this month Glossybox are back on form and i love my goodies, anyway onto what inside......

Alterna Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist 25ml

I was super excited to see this, I've been wearing my hair curly or wavy everyday recently so I'm always on the look out for a good tousling spray to help give me some more texture. Ive only used this once so far but i like it already. I sprayed it into my dry hair (you can also spray this into wet hair for a more beachy look) and gave it a good scrunch and it instantly gave me wavy texturised locks without weighing my hair down or leaving it crunchy and sticky so I'm really looking forward to experimenting more with this. The full size of 125ml retails for £23.oo.

Coola Mineral Face Sunscreen Unscented 7ml

Ive got high hopes for this little beauty. Its an organic facial sunscreen with SPF 20 that is hypoallergenic, free of parabens and packed with antioxidants. It provides complete UVA protection while soothing, toning and minimising pores, sounds amazing right!!!! I cant wait to try this out this week since the weathers going to be super hot and i definitely think I'm going to love it. The full size of 50ml retails for £29.99.

Anatomicals Spray Misty For Me Facial Spritz 100ml

Anatomicals Spray Misty For Me is a facial spritz that helps rehydrate and calm skin. When i first spritzed this i hated its lavender and peppermint scent but... it actually does make your skin look and feel instantly hydrated and refreshed. I think this would be perfect on holiday by the pool or on the beach, during flights and for general day to day use to just make you feel and look that little bit more refreshed. This is the full size and it retails for £6.00.

Essie Sleek Sticks in 02 Croc'n Chic

These gorgeous nail wraps are new to Essie and i cant wait to give them a go. I got 'Croc'n Chic' not the most summery option but i still like the affect. These seem so easy to use too, simply match the sticker size to your nail, peel them off an apply, before buffing away any excess with a nail file and they last up to 10 days too woohoo. These are a full size set and retail for £9.99 a packet.

Sleek Makeup Pout Paints in 'Milkshake' and 'Peek-A-Bloo' 8ml

I wasn't sure if i was supposed to get two of these or not ha ha but I'm glad i did as if id only got the blue one id have been gutted!!! I was totally miffed when i saw the Blue but as i looked into it more and noticed its meant for mixing to create different shades. I love Sleek Makeup as a brand but have never tried their 'Pout Paints' and after using 'Milkshake' I'm in love. They are highly pigmented lip stains that last for hours and smell so fruity too. Ill definitely get lots of use out of 'Milkshake' but not so sure on the Blue ha ha although when mixed together they create quite a pretty shade. Both of these are full size and retail at £4.99 each.

On a whole I'm super happy with what i received in this months box, even the design of the box itself it lush and i will be using it for storage in my bathroom.

Did you like this months box??? What did you receive???

Revlon Nail Art | Moon Candy

Hey girlie's!!

As you may already know I'm a huge Revlon nail polish fan so when i saw these cute duel ended beauties i was in nail polish heaven and had to treat myself to one. There are a few different types of these duel ended polishes to choose from like Expressionist which has an extra skinny brush for more detailed work and nail art, Neon which comes with a neutral base and then a bright neon shade for the accent nail and then Moon Candy which has the chunky glitter. My most obvious choice was Moon Candy as I'm such a glitter girl, i loveee me some sparkle!!!!

I opted for '240 Eclipse' which has a deep purple/plum base on one end and a gorgeous blue/purple/pink chunky foil glitter top coat that gives a 3D effect, i think the combination of the 2 work so well together and looks so pretty. Personally i think this is more of an Autumn/Winter shade but i think it would be perfect for nights out all year round too.

So what are my thoughts on this polish???? Well... The base coat applies well but you need 2 coats for it to be completely opaque and the drying time was rather quick. As for the glittery top coat... I found it quite hard to apply as the flakes of iridescent glitter don't always go where you want them too and also i found you need to layer up the coats as one coat gets your barely any glitter at all, drying time was also quite long as the glitter polish is alot thicker than your average top coat. The lasting power i found to be really good, mine lasted a good 4 days without any noticeable chipping and it stayed nice and glitzy too without any glitter chipping off.

I love the packaging, the fact you get 2 polishes in 1 that isn't too big or chunky is fab and is great for travel purposes, what a nifty idea!!

I picked mine up at Superdrug for £7.99, these are also available in Boots for the same price depending on offers.

Have you tried these sparkly little beaut's yet?? What did you think??

June Favourites ♥

Hey girlie's!!

As the month of June is drawing to a close i thought i would share with you all my favourite beauty products I've been loving throughout this past month.....

Sinful Colors 'Island Coral'

Ive been wearing this colour non stop recently, its a gorgeous peachy coral colour that's fabulous for this time of year. It looks pretty on toes too when wearing little sandal's. Its completely creamy with no shimmer or glitter running through it at all and takes 2 coats for a nice opaque finish.

Soap & Glory Heel Genius Foot Cream

This is my new love.. I never really bother with my feet, the most i do is paint my toes and that's about it. However... as I've been wearing sandal's loads recently i thought i should pamper my feet a little as they where slightly dry, i massaged some of the cream into my feet before bed and in the morning my feet where soft, smooth and there wasn't any dry skin in sight. It's literally amazing and well worth trying.

Rimmel Glam'EYES Day 2 Night Mascara

This mascara is so snazzy, it feels like you get 2 mascara's in 1 which i love. I will be doing a full review of this on here soon so i wont say too much apart from i love it and its does the job well.

Nip + Fab Pistachio Sundae Body Butter

This little pot of pistachio goodness is one of the best body butters I've ever used. The rich creaminess of the body butter helps repair dry dehydrated skin and has a 24 hour moisture boosting additive to keep you feeling pampered and moisturised all day long. The smell of this is also to die for, it has a deep nutty pistachio scent which honestly smells so good you could eat it. If you haven't tried it yet id urge to get 1, I'm nearly out of mine as it was a glossy box 50ml sample but I'm definitely going to buy the full size very soon.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush

Ive been using this 'Buffing Brush' to apply my foundation for a while now and i can honestly say my foundation has never looked so good and has never gone on so quick. The Buffing Brush application provides an amazing base that isn't heavy or cakey, its also an extremely versatile brush that you can use with bronzer, blush or powder. I have quite a collection of these 'Real Techniques Brushes' now and can honestly say I've never had a bad application with any of the others in the collection, they are also all reasonably priced which is a nice little Brucie bonus.

What's been your favourite beauty product this month?? I'd love to know :)
