Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation Review

Hey beaut's!

You might already know that I'm a huge Vichy fan, their skincare is amazing particular the Idealia range which is my absolute favourite but makeup wise I haven't tried that much, only their Dermablend Loose Powder and their Dermablend Fluid Corrective Foundation both of which I love, so when I heard they where launching a new foundation named Dermablend 3D Correction I couldn't wait to give it a whirl!
The Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation* (£21.50) claims to transform the appearance of acne-prone skin with it's corrective resurfacing base that provides high coverage and an ultra-matte finish, sounds pretty amazing right. Theres five shades to collect here going from Opal which is the lightest and my chosen shade to Bronze which is the darkest of the bunch, so whether you have a lighter skin tone with pink undertones or a medium-dark complexion with yellow undertones Vichy have got you covered.
So lets kick things off with Dermablend 3D formula... When I first popped some of this foundation on the back of my hand I thought ohhh nooo...the foundation has a thick, mousse like texture that I immediately thought would be heavy, cakey and hard to work with but I was wrong, instead the foundation just glided over my skin like velvet covering any imperfection or blemishes it came across but in such a lightweight way, it smoothed out any bumps I had on my skin and if you suffer from enlarged pores then this foundation is going to work a dream because it literally smoothed them out as well, I couldn't believe it! I found the best way to apply this foundation was on well moisturised skin and with my fingers, I tried my beauty blender and a makeup brush both of which worked OK but applying with the warmth of my fingers just worked wonders and was so quick and easy!
The finish is full coverage, lightweight, and very matte so all you oily-combination gals out there are in for a serious treat here. Lasting power wise I had no problems at all, the foundation kept it's full coverage, lightweight look all day without going patchy at all!

Overall I'd highly recommend the Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation if your either looking for something to help you achieve a flawless base with a lightweight feel or if you need a foundation that will cover lots of skin concerns such as acne, spots, oiliness, large pores and shine. I can actually see the 3D Correction being awesome throughout the summer months, obviously I haven't had a chance to test it out in the heat but I think with it's lasting ability, lightweight feel and matte finish as well as it containing SPF 25 this could be a summer foundation favourite for sure!

Have you tried any of the Vichy Dermablend 3D Correction Foundation beaut's?? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Hey beaut's!

With every new season comes some new and excited beauty and makeup releases and theres plenty that I'm lusting after at the moment. Firstly to co-inside with the new 'Alice Through The Looking Glass' Movie which is coming out at the end of May, Urban Decay and OPI have come up with some amazing collections inspired by the film! Urban Decay have an amazing eyeshadow palette and selection of lipsticks to choose from and OPI have a whole new range of nail polish shades, how exciting! Too Faced have quite a few new bit's and pieces out for Spring ranging from a new blusher, bronzer, bronzing body oil, Better Than Sex Mascara in Waterproof but best of all they have a new eyeshadow palette named 'Sweet Peach' filled with the most gorgeous array of warm, peachy toned eye shadows that all smell of Peach, I need this palette in my life so bad! Superdrug have also just released a collection of EMOJI inspired lip balms which I think are super fun and the flavours/scents sound rather yummy! I'm also excited for Maybellines launch of their Vivid Matte Liquid Lipsticks coming to the UK in April/May along with their new Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara which sounds amazing!
New In Beauty | Spring Edition

Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Paints

Hey beaut's!

Coconut oil is huge right now, whether it be eating, cooking, haircare or slathering ourselves in it like a body moisturiser but never did I think it would work its way inside my nail polish bottles but oh wait..... yes it has thanks to the amazing Barry M! That's right Barry M have a new line of nail polishes for Spring and Summer named Coconut Infusion, they are made with a whole new formulation that blends together both coconut water and coconut oil to gently hydrate and nourish the nails, how awesome is that! Obviously as soon as I heard about this launch I just had to pop into Superdrug and grab a couple of the shades to try and thanks to Superdrug's 3 for 2 offer I got three for the price of two!

The new collection has 9 spring/summer worthy shades in total all with have a beach theme which I think is so cute, I opted for Flamingo - a bright coral, Aloha - a hot pink and finally Surfboard - a stunning pastel dusty pink, borderline lilac shade. I've actually worn all three of the shades I picked up already and I have to say this formulation is my favourite by Barry M and that's really saying something considering I'm a huge Barry M nail paint fan anyway. Each nail paint went on super smooth with no bubbling or streaking and was easily opaque after two quick coats and dried quickly, I definitely felt like the formula was slightly thicker than the average Barry M nail paint but I actually preferred that because my nails felt slightly more durable afterwards. The finish was smooth, glossy and gel-like and I was chip free for a good 3-4 days, also I haven't broken a nail since wearing these polishes so whether that's just pot luck or it has something to do with the formula I have no idea!

Do they smell of coconut??? Sadly they don't, that is literally the only thing that was disappointing for me about these nail paints, otherwise I absolutely adore this new Coconut Infusion range and cant wait to see what other shades Barry M add to the collection during the rest of the year!

Have you tried the Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Paints beaut's? What shade is your favourite? I 'd love to know!

GWA Fairytale Makeup Brushes Reviewed

Hi beaut's!

Can we all just take a minute to appreciate how beautiful these GWA Makeup Brushes are, oh my goodness I'm in love with them! Last month I was actually lucky enough to win these makeup brushes on a twitter giveaway, I couldn't believe it because I seriously never win anything ever! I have been using these brushes for around a month or so now so I thought it was about time they had their time to shine on my blog!

GWA (Girls With Attitude) is a fairly new brand to me, I have heard good things about their false lashes and false nails on YouTube but I haven't really heard anything about their new makeup brushes so I really didn't know what to expect. I actually won a selection of brushes from their Fairytale Collection which consists of 17 cruelty free, synthetic brushes that all have super soft, hand-crafted purple ombre bristles, rose gold accents and wooden handles, oh my I just cant get over how pretty these are!
I received six brushes in total and have been loving each and every one of them so far, one of my favourites has to be the Large Powder Brush (£9.99), it's such a soft, fluffy brush with a large head that applies and blends loose or pressed powder in a flash, I also like it for bronzing too as it gets the job done in seconds! Then I have the Foundation Brush (£7.99) a firm, tapered, flat brush that is designed to apply liquid and cream foundations, I must admit I never usually use flat brushes for foundation but I gave this one a go and really liked it, I worked from the centre of my face outwards and it worked a treat! Next up I have the Contour Brush (£7.99), this has dense, rounded brush bristles which makes applying contour powders and creams to the hollows of the cheeks, forehead and jawline super easy for the perfectly chiseled look, I found that the tip of the brush picks the product up and the rounded edges blend everything out, a great brush for contour beginners! Then going onto the three smaller brushes I have starting with the Concealer Brush (£4.99), the flat brush head of this brush is great at concealing imperfections, under eye circles, to tidy up the edges of the lips after applying lipstick, to tidy brow edges or for precise contouring of the nose, it really is a brush full of so many uses! Then theres the Brow Arch Illuminator Brush (£4.99), this is an angled, flat and densely packed brush designed to apply highlighter to the brow bone for a seamless and blended effect however, I never use brushes this shape to highlight my brow bone so instead I've been using this brush for blending out eyeshadow in my crease, it actually works great used in that way. Lastly I have the Lip Brush (£3.99) this is a small, flat and firm brush with a tapered tip which applies lipstick and lip liner perfectly and neatly, this is such a useful brush when you want to apply darker vampy lips.
Overall I am so impressed with these brushes and definitely want to buy some more to complete my collection, not only do they look stunning but they are so easy to work with, blend my makeup like a dream and they even wash up well too without any shedding bristles.

Have you tried any of the GWA Fairytale Makeup Brushes beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Makeup Revolution Unicorns Are Real Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hey beaut's!

Today I'm back to share a rather exciting new release from our friends over at Makeup Revolution! This time around the lovelies at Makeup Revolution have released an all new eyeshadow palette called 'Unicorns Are Real*' which features twelve eyeshadow's in majestic, enchanting and bold shades, it certainly packs a colourful punch that's for sure, and with Spring and Summer fast approaching this palette is going to be perfect.
The 'Unicorns Are Real' palette comes packaged in a lightweight, slim, plastic palette with a clear lid which I really favour because you can easily see the eyeshadow shades inside the palette, it just saves a lot of faffing about opening up lots of different palettes trying to find your desired shades doesn't it. Within the palette are twelve metallic/shimmer eyeshadows that are all placed in long, narrow pans ranging from light, to colourful, to dark, to create a stunning eye look, anytime.
Now I know that this palette might not be for everyone because of it's brightness and colour but personally I think the 'Unicorns Are Real' is a palette everyone should own because you never know when your going to need that pop of colour in your eyeshadow look and theres also a great khaki, bronze and gold shade within the palette too that perfect for the not so daring. You could easily create daytime looks with this palette buy adding subtle pops of colour around different area's of the eyes, something I like to do in the Summer is add some colour smudged onto my lower lash line, I find it's a great way to use colour if you play it a bit safe with your eyeshadow like I do he he.

As always I don't really have any complaints on the eye shadow's quality, Makeup Revolution seem to make such amazing eye shadows don't they he he. Each eyeshadow within the 'Unicorns Are Real' palette is packed full of pigmentation, are all super soft to swatch, easy to work with and blend out a treat. The eyeshadows also last great on my oily eyelids without any creasing or fading most of the day which is a major bonus!

What do you think of the new Unicorns Are Real palette beaut's?? I'd love to know!!

Love the Sales Haul/Review

Hi beaut's!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who absolutely loves a bargain, whether it’s a treat for myself and my ever growing beauty stash or something nice for my wardrobe, or even a gift for someone special, getting it on sale not only makes my money go further but makes me extremely happy too. However, it can be a real chore going through website after website of all the brands you are interested in to find the best deal until now.... That's right beaut's I've recently come across an amazing website called Love the Sales* that holds every sale item from 100’s of retailers and 1000’s of brands altogether in one place, never before has it been so easy to go sales shopping. Whether it's beauty, fashion, electronics, home, garden, sports, gifts or anything else that takes your fancy, Love the Sales have it at the best prices. I'm so happy I've come across this website because it's going to make my life a whole lot easier and can you imagine how great it will be at Christmas time! Anywhoo onto the bargains I got...

Real Techniques Collector's Edition Eye lining Brush Set £9.99

Firstly I went for the Real Techniques Collector's Edition Eye lining Brush Set which was £9.99 instead of it's usual £19.99, I had been eyeing up this set for quite some time because not only am I a huge fan of Real Techniques brushes, but I really want to get into gel eyeliner more and I think these four brushes are really going to make my life so much easier in the liner department! The set includes a Precision Liner Brush for ultimate control for the perfect line, a Smudge Brush to really help create that sultry, smokey effect, an Angled Eyeliner Brush for optimal control along the lash line and it's also a great brush for filling in brows, and the last brush within the set is a Pointed Liner Brush which has a tapered head designed to create both thin and thick lines, I literally cant wait to experiment with these brushes!

Collection Divine Volume Lash Mascara £2.99
I'm a slight mascara addict so when I saw Collection had launched a new one I couldn't wait to give it a whirl. After trying the Collection Divine Volume Lash Mascara I would have to say it's an OK mascara but nothing mind blowing, it did give some slight volume and curve to my lashes but I was still left wanting a bit more, I would of liked some more length to my lashes as well really but it did stay on well and never smudged or flaked all day. I mean overall for the price I would say this is a good everyday mascara but if your looking for show stopping lashes you wont get them from this unfortunately!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer in Light £19.80
Lastly I went for the Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer in Light which was £19.80 instead of £22.00, again I have been wanting to try this little beauty for a while and after testing it I am addicted! If your looking for a full coverage concealer that will literally conceal anything and everything and stays put throughout the entire day then you definitely need this concealer in your life, it's absolutely amazing!

Overall I absolutely love the Love the Sales concept and will certainly be using it a lot now I know it actually exists, it's key to remember that Love the Sales works on real time so offers are changing quick, all the time so if you see something you want at a bargain price nab it quickly!

Have you tried the LovetheSales website beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

April Glossybox Review ♥

Hi beaut's!

So its that time again... Glossy box time!!! This month we have the 'Spring Preening' box, a Spring theme that sees Glossy box help us refresh our beauty regime from finishing touches to exciting new beauty innovations! I'm actually happier with this months contents than last months, theres four full size products and only one sample this time around and everything inside my box I'll certainly use which is always a good thing! I am still considering changing beauty boxes for a little while though or even cancelling because I feel Glossy box isn't quite as good as it used to be, so if you have any beauty box recommendations please do let me know!

Next Make Me Beautiful Lip Chubby Stick in Cherry Red | Full Size | £8.00
Firstly this month I have the Make Me Beautiful Lip Chubby Stick in Cherry Red by Next! I've given this a whirl and I love the formula, it feels so moisturising on the lips just like a lip balm and is so pigmented just like a lipstick! I would certainly buy one of these if they have more everyday, wearable shades as the Cherry Red is very intense but all in all I was pleasantly surprised by this!

Leighton Denny Expert Nails Miracle Mist | Full Size | £12.00
Next up I have the Leighton Denny Expert Nails Miracle Mist, I'm so excited to try this because it claims to make your nail polish dry to the touch in mere seconds and if theres one thing I hate it's waiting for nail polish to dry so if this works I'll be super impressed!

Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner | Full Size | £22.00
Then I have the Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner, this double ended brow pencil comes equipped with a defining brow shade at one end and a brightening highlighter shade at the other to really help sculpt out those brows! I must admit I'm definitely more of a brow powder girl but I'm up for trying something new so will be sure to give this a whirl!

Swiss Smile Whitening Toothpaste | Full Size | £28.95
Firstly when did toothpaste become a 'thing' in beauty boxes and secondly this tube is worth a whopping £28.95, yup that's right £28.95 for toothpaste my goodness!!!! I've been using this whitening toothpaste ever since I got it in my box and it does the job, as for the whitening aspect I cant really comment as of yet as I'm guessing that will happen over time but for the price I'm expecting a bright white smile very soon!

The Body Shop Oils Of Life | Sample | Full Size £28.00
Lastly this month I got a sample of The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil, this is actually Body Shops best selling oil and claims to totally revive our complexion, I've been using this before bed since I got my box and it does give my face a dose of moisture and makes my skin soooo soft so I'll definitely be using all of this up!

What did you think of this month's box beaut's? I'd love to know.

Drugstore Lip of the Day

Hey beaut's!

You may have seen that back in March I done my very first Lip of the Day post sharing the lip combo that I was rocking that day and that I'd been loving for a while, so today I thought I would do another one but this time sharing my drugstore lip combo that I'm loving at the moment!

Today I opted for one of my new favourite lippies the Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Lipstick in the shade Chauffeur, this is actually quite surprising for me because its a nude and me and nude lipsticks never usually get a long however this is the perfect shade of nude for me and I must say it's the only nude lipstick that I've EVER liked that doesn't wash me out! The formula of this lipstick is lovely too, it's so creamy, highly pigmented and easy to apply and has a gorgeous satin finish which is my absolute favourite, and what makes it even better is that it's only £3.00!

To line my lips I used Rimmel's 1000 Kisses Lasting Finish Lip Liner in Spice, I actually only got this recently but I'm obsessed with it already and I think this shade of lip liner really complements the lipstick well. I actually used spice to not only line my lips but I filled them in with it too and then popped Chauffeur on over the top, the two together created such a gorgeous nude lip. I'd highly recommend these Rimmel lip liners, I have a few now and the quality is amazing!

Whats your favourite lippie to rock at the moment beaut's? I'd love to know!
