The Brow Duo I'm Currently Loving!

Hey beaut's!

I absolutely love doing my brows these days, it's strange really because I used to hate doing my brows and would rarely do anything with them but now I find it so satisfying getting them perfect and on point, no makeup look is complete without a pair of gorgeous brows after all is it!

Although I do love the look of a perfect pair of brows I'm much more into the fluffy, natural look and this little duo from Technic Cosmetics have been perfect for that! The Technic Arch Envy (£3.50) is great for adding in definition, it has this amazing 'three hair stroke tip' making it so easy to add hair-like strokes which look super natural, it really gives the illusion of thicker brows! The staying power is amazing too, I never have any problems with fading and when I swatched this on my hand it took ages for me to wash it off, all day in-fact! The only negative I have to say about this brow definer is that I've used it up so quickly, so I don't think you get that much product inside, but aside from that I love it!

The Technic Clear Brow Gel (£4.00) is the secret to getting your brows fluffy, the small wand grabs every little hair and sets it in place all day long, if you want textured fluffy brows always brush the product upwards which is what I do to the start and middle of my brows, obviously you don't just have to use this gel to make your brows fluffy, it does indeed set your brows and the product you have used in your brows in place. What I love about this particular brow gel is that it doesn't set hard or go crispy/flaky, it's very natural feeling which is must for me when I look for a brow gel.

If your looking for some new products for your brows that wont break the bank then I really cant recommend these enough, especially that brow gel, it's quickly become my new favourite!

Barry M's NEW Dual Ended Brow Wand Reviewed!

Hey beaut's!

I absolutely love doing my brows these days, I used to hate doing them but now I find it so satisfying getting them perfect and on point, no makeup look is complete without a pair of gorgeous brows after all is it. Recently when I was browsing in Superdrug I saw that Barry M had launched a new brow product called the 'Dual Ended Brow Wand' so I immediately popped it into my basket to try!
The Barry M Dual Ended Brow Wand is available in three standard shades - light, medium and dark, personally for me the three shades just isn't enough, I think Barry M really need to up their game with their shade ranges because their makeup has got so good but the shade range is an epic fail, anyway...I opted for the shade light, I have quite light, cool toned ashy brows so light was the best option for me at the time, however I do find it a little bit on the warm side for me but with the brow gel I can just about get away with it!
Now I love a multi-purpose product so that fact this is dual ended is perfect for me, at one end you get your brow pencil to shape and define your brows and then at the other end you have the tinted brow gel to blend and tame stray brow hairs keeping them set in place all day! The brow pencil itself has a teardrop shaped tip making the application process super easy because it's always on a slanted angle, so I use the pencil on it's side with broad strokes to fill in my brows and use the pointed tip of the teardrop to add in individual brow hairs or for precise shaping if needed. The formula and texture of the pencil is lovely, it's well pigmented, waxy but not dry or too creamy and blends easily with a spoolie before it sets, I do find the shade of the pencil lighter and warmer than the brow gel but like I said before it all matches once the gel has been slicked through my brows.
The tinted brow gel I love, in fact I'd say I like it more than the pencil but I've always been a sucker for a good brow gel! The little brush really does coat and grab every brow hair and I can even get away with just using the gel if I'm in a rush or want a slightly more natural look. You can also achieve really fluffy brows as well if that's your thang!!! The formula of the gel is really lovely, it's well pigmented, has great hold without being crispy and it's long lasting! If your looking for something new to try from the high street for your brows I do think this is a good product to try - especially the gel, the only downside is the shade range as their definitely isn't a shade to suit all brows that's for sure!
Have you tried this yet beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Barry M Dual Ended Brow Wand can be found in Superdrug and Boots for £5.99.

Red Carpet Manicure 2018 Holiday Collection

 Hey beaut's!

When it comes to nails Red Carpet Manicure are where the parties attttt... They have so many shades and finishes to choose from and you always know your going to get a good quality, long lasting manicure from their gel polishes. Recently Red Carpet Manicure launched their 2018 Holiday Collection 'An Enchanted Affair' and I've been road testing six shades from the collection and have quickly fallen in love!
The Red Carpet Manicure 'An Enchanted Affair' Collection consists of lots of fabulously festive shades that will have you covered this party season. The first shade we have is....
Elegance Is Everything - This is a silver pearl shade that really sparkles and shines under the light, I like using this one as an accent shade instead of all over my nails.
Gifted In Glitz - This one a warm gold shimmer shade with plenty of minute gold glitters suspended within it which really twinkle, this is such a festive shade!
Martinis & Mistletoe - This shade is basically like your wearing your Christmas tree on your nails, it's your classic Christmas green with a pearl sheen to it.
Lavish & Luxurious - This shade is right up my street and one you could get away with wearing all year round if I'm honest, it's a dark dusty mauve creme which I've been obsessed with ever since I got it, this one might be my favourite!
Gowning Achievement - Another favourite of mine, this is a rich burgundy creme which has raspberry tones going through it, again this one looks amazing with the gold or the silver pearl shades as accent nails!
Just Call Me Sugarplum - This is a straight up aubergine purple with a pearl sheen to it, this one really reminds me of statement party nails and I would definitely rock this shade with Gifted In Glitz as my accent shade for any Christmas parties!
The formula of these polishes is beautiful and I really enjoyed playing around with them, because they are proper gel colours they do need curing under an LED lamp otherwise they wont dry but all you need to do is simply pop a base coat on then cure, then pop two thin coats of your chosen shade on and cure again for 2 minutes between each coat, then follow with a top coat and cure again. This literally gives you fully opaque nails that are streak free, super glossy and hard wearing and I swear your nails look like you've had a professional 'pricey' manicure at the salon when in reality you've sat at home in your PJ's watching Netflix he he! Overall I'm loving this collection, in terms of the formulation these polishes are literally incredible and they last so long too, mine where on for a week and a half before I had some general wear and tear, how amazing is that!

Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Palette First Impressions!

Hey beaut's!

I had been lusting after the Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Palette ever since I saw glimpses of it on Twitter a few months ago, so as soon as Debenhams added the Too Faced Christmas collection to their website I snapped that little palette up quicker than you can even say gingerbread (lol)! Unfortunately for me when my palette arrived (very quickly might I add) it was completely smashed and the Debenhams customer service was terrible so I ended up having to send the palette back and wait nearly 3 weeks to get my money back! Long story short - when I was in London I popped into the Too Faced store on Carnaby Street and managed to buy the palette again and I'm absolutely loving it so far!
The Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Eyeshadow Palette (£39.00) comes packaged in a warm brown tin with a cute little gingerbread man on the front and a mirror on the inside of the lid, personally I love packaging, I know some might find it young or tacky but I absolutely love it and I think Too Faced always get packaging so right! Within the palette are 18 eye shadows in a good mix of winter warmer shades and autumnal hues perfect for creating lots of different looks for day and night, theres also a mix of mattes, metallics and glitters, their honestly so drool worthy! Just like all of Too Faced products this palette does indeed have a scent, although not the gingerbread scent they are claiming and that I was hoping for, mine smells just like Yankee  Candles Christmas Cookie candle which is divine but my nose definitely doesn't get the gingerbread, please tell me I'm not alone in this!
The formula of the shades I've used so far has been brilliant, I haven't experienced any fallout and they blend and last on my eyes beautifully, to be honest I have a couple of other Too Faced eyeshadow palettes and the quality always comes up trumps for me so I have high hopes for this palette! The shades I've used so far are Powdered Sugar - a matte cream great for a base shade, Gingerbread and Gingerbread Latte - both perfect mattes for the crease and transitioning, Spiked Eggnog - a gorgeous metallic champagne perfect for highlighting the brow bone and inner corners, Reindeer Paws - a deep matte brown perfect for getting things smokey and finally Warm & Toasty - a bright metallic gold, the rest of the shades I'm yet to try but so far all the shades I've used have worked like a dream! Also can we just appreciate how god damn cute all of the shade names are, I mean Reindeer Paw.... come on, cutest overload!
(From left to right - Frostbite Me!, Spiked Eggnog, Figgy Pudding, Hot Toddy, Gingerbread, Warm & Toasty, Bake It 'Til You Make It)
So far, so good with the Gingerbread Spice Palette and if your thinking of getting it yourself I'd definitely say go for it because I'm loving it so far, although you might want to dodge getting it from Debenhams lol! I will do an updated post after I've used all of the shades within the palette and given them a good test as I can see myself getting so much use out of most shades within this little gingerbread beauty!

Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation Review!

Hey beaut's!

I have been absolutely loving Revolution's base makeup launches over the last few months and I think it's fair to say I'm not the only one, I've tried both of Revolution's concealers and the stick foundation and really liked them all especially the concealers but now theres a new kid on the block in the shape of a foundation, ohhhh! That's right the Conceal & Define Concealer now has an older sister so say hello to the Conceal & Define Full Coverage Foundation!
Just like the concealer the foundation has a crazy amount of shades to choose from, 24 to be precise which is just incredible! Ranging from fair to deep, in cool, pink, neutral and warm undertones - there really is a shade for everyone, I think that's chuffing amazing for a high street beauty brand and I really praise Revolution for doing this! I have the foundation in the shade F4 which is for light skin tones with a pink undertone and it matches me perfectly, Revolution also have a full run down of the shades on their website if your unsure what shade you might be.
The foundation itself claims to be lightweight yet buildable, oil-free yet creamy and comfortable, long-lasting with a demi-matte finish that won’t settle into any fine lines or cling to dry patches, sounds pretty amazing right - I couldn't wait to whack it on my face! I have to admit as soon as I started blending in the foundation on my very first application I was loving it, it blends into the skin with complete ease (I use a beauty blender by the way) and the coverage is mega good, it's definitely more on the full side of things and a little of the foundation goes a long way too! The foundation does claim to have a demi-matte finish but I would say it's more on the matte side that demi-matte so if your looking for a bit of a glow you wont really get that from this foundation. Despite being matte I didn't find the foundation heavy or cakey in any way and it wears on my skin really well, my skins quite combination at the moment and I never have any oily/shiny patches come up when I wear this but I do notice that it does cling to a little dryness I have around my nose which isn't a biggy but something to bare in mind! The foundation seemed to last on me for around 7 hours before it had started to wear off slightly on my chin which I think is a pretty good wear time and I never powdered my skin either because I felt that natural matte finish that the foundation has was enough for me!
The only thing I don't really like is the applicator...it has a jumbo doe foot style applicator which holds the product much like how a concealer does and then you spread/dot it around your face that way, personally I don't find it very hygienic and I would of much preferred a pump to be honest, however it is quite a controlled way to use the foundation and I cant see how I'll waste much of the foundation because I cant accidentally pump too much out so theres always that. The bottle however is gorgeous, it has quite heavy glass bottle which is frosted which makes it feel so much more expensive and luxurious!

Overall I've been bloody loving this foundation and I'm so glad I picked it up to try, in terms of the formula it ticks all of the foundation boxes for me and the fact theres 24 shades to choose from is just amazing!

Revolution Fast Base Concealer Review!

Hey beaut's!

Revolution have been killing it with their base makeup launches recently and it's fair to say us makeup loving guys and gals have been all over the new goodies like a rash , I adored their Conceal & Define Concealer so when I saw that they had launched a new concealer called Fast Base I popped down to Superdug and picked one up straight away!
The Revolution Fast Base Concealer claims to highlight, brighten and banish under eye circles fast, this claim really lured me in because I suffer really badly with dark under eyes so anything that might help them disappear I'm all for trying! And oh my godddddd beaut's, I bloody love this stuff!
The formula of concealer is absolutely stunning and ticks all the concealer boxes for me in terms of covering dark circles, it's lightweight, super creamy and hydrating, blends in-in seconds, has a beautiful medium but buildable coverage, has a semi-matte finish that is never drying and doesn't cling to any dry patches at all, it lasts really well and doesn't crease on me at all or go cakey! As I said it literally ticks all the boxes for me and does an amazing job at brighting up my under eyes, I love it so much more than the Conceal & Define concealer, and that's really saying something because I really like that concealer too. The shade range is fab, theres 14 shades available ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones, I have the shade C2 which is for fair skin tones with a neutral undertone, realistically I needed a shade with pink undertones but of course that was out of stock because this stuff sells like hot cakes but C2 actually works perfectly fine for me!
The only negative I have to say is about the packaging where the concealer dispenses, it has a twist-up mechanism which you twist and the concealer comes out of the little cushion applicator, that part of the packaging is fine, the applicator is lovely and soft and allows you to easily dot the product under your eyes but my goodness does the lid and around the cushion applicator get grubby, my concealer looks absolutely gross now so just bare that in mind!

Revolution Kisu Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette Review!

Hey beaut's!

I haven't had a new eyeshadow palette by Revolution for such a long time but when I saw their collaboration with the YouTuber Kisu I instantly fell in love, the colour-way of the palette was right up street so the palette went straight into my wish list, lucky for me it was my birthday recently and my bestie Kate treated me to the palette so I thought I'd share my thoughts on it with you today!
Truth be told I hadn't even heard of Kisu before the palette was released but her ideas behind this palette are fabulous so... well done girl! The palette itself has matte pink packaging which is super pretty and comes with a large mirror within the lid which is always handy! Within the palette their are 16 beautiful eyeshadow shades 8 of which are matte and the remaining 8 are metallic. The shade range in this palette though is absolutely stunning and I mean just look how perfect it's going to be for the Autumn months... arhhh I love it! Theres everything from your classic beige, brown and a couple of creams, intertwined with cranberry tones and gold shimmers with a pop of turquoise blue thrown in for good measure. The palette also includes 2 'slices' of highlighter which I'm not complaining about, I am a highlighter addict after all. Theres the shade Marshmallow which is an icy white which almost has a foil like finish and then theres Khaleesi which is a peachy pink which has the most amazing golden shift shift to it!
The quality of the shadows within the Kisu Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette are actually very good and really consistent, I kind of knew that the metallic shades would be good because I know Revolution do make amazing metallic shadows but I did worry that the mattes might of been a little lack-luster but actually their brilliant and perform just as well as the metallic's! Each shade is super pigmented, they all pick up on my brushes well and blend out with ease, their are a couple of shades that have the smallest amount of fallout but it's nothing major at all, and the highlighters have an almost foil effect and aren't glittery at all which is a bonus, overall I'm really pleased with the quality!
Eyeshadow Shades....
Maldives – metallic deep lagoon blue
Reign - metallic yellow gold
Bloodlust - metallic rich copper red
London - metallic burnt rose gold
Vampire - matte dark cranberry brown
Royal - metallic warm taupe
1991 - matte pastel beige with a slight shimmer
Ivy - sheer metallic beige
Clumsy - matte deep brown
Cookie Dough - matte sandy beige
Cat Lady - matte taupe
Rose Gold - metallic rosy pink with a golden shift
Gryffindor - matte mustard yellow
Mai - metallic rusty copper
October - matte brick red
Hype - matte yellow taupe
(From left to right - London, Reign, Vampire, Rose Gold, MAI, October)
Just look at those swatches - insert love heart eyes emoji - he he. Overall I'm so impressed with the Kisu Palette and have thoroughly enjoyed playing around with all of the shades so far. The quality is really nice for the price which is just £10.00 by the way, and the shade range is stunning and right up my street, I also think if your looking for that perfect Autumnal palette which wont break the bank then you need to look no further, and the fact you get 2 highlighters thrown in too is just a brucie bonus!

KIKO Jelly Jungle Collection - Highlighter & Liquid Lipsticks Reviewed!

Hey beaut's!

If your holding onto Summer for that little bit longer then the KIKO Jelly Jungle Collection is where the parties at! This collection is super fun and playful, full of colour and super affordable, I even think a couple of products I've been trying out could definitely transition through to Autumn and Christmas too!

Firstly I've been trying out three of the KIKO Jelly Jungle Liquid Lipsticks* (£8.90 each), I have the shades Hypnotic Fuchsia which is cool toned hot pink shade, Hefty Red which is honestly the most Christmassy red I've ever seen, I'm quite shook that it's within the summer collection to be honest because it's so festive! Finally I have Vibrant Burgundy which is a grundy - very autumnal looking - deep burgundy and I love it! The formula of these liquid lippies is lovely, their weightless and smooth on the lips, their extremely opaque and pigmented after one quick swipe, they smell of tropical Papaya which is divine and they all have the most amazing metallic sheen to them which is so eye catching! The only tiny negative I have about these liquid lippies is that they do take a little while to set and remain on the tacky side for a while so that's something to bare in mind, other than that they are awesome and the quality is amazing!

Of course me being the highlighter addict that I am I just HAD to try a highlighter from this collection (I honestly have problems y'all), I opted for the Liquid Highlighter in the shade Flawless Gold (£8.90) which is bright, light gold that honestly looks like gold foil, it's stunning! The highlighter itself comes in a gloss-like tube with a doe-foot applicator which makes it easier to apply if your after control and precision! What I absolutely love about liquid highlighters is just how versatile they are and KIKO's offering certainly doesn't disappoint, you can literally use this bad boy in all the usual places you'd normally highlight like the cheekbones, down the nose and on the brow bone but you can also use this one across the eyelids, on your body and you could even mix it with your foundation if you'd like! The light liquid texture of this highlighter is so soft and velvety on the skin and blends out like a dream, it even has a tropical fruity scent which is just lush, and fear not it isn't super glittery, it contains minute gold flecks within it which are so pretty without leaving you looking like a disco ball he he!

You can find the KIKO Jelly Jungle Collection online HERE or in KIKO stores!

Feral Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks - New Shades Revealed!

Hey beaut's!

Earlier this year I got my first taster of Feral Cosmetics, I tried three of their liquid lipsticks and was totally blown away by the gorgeous formula. If you haven't heard of Feral Cosmetics before their a US based, cruelty free and vegan beauty brand which are sold here in the UK on the Beauty Chamber website. Beauty Chamber have recently added six new Feral Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick shades to their website so of course I couldn't wait to get my hands on them and try them out, theres actually a whopping 14 shades to choose from on the site now, woohoo!
What I've always loved about the Feral Cosmetics liquid lippies is their amazing formula and the new six shades certainly follow suit, the consistency and texture of these beauties is so lovely and I'd go as far as saying it's one of the best formula's I've tried in terms of liquid lipsticks! The product feels super thin and lightweight during the application process where as a lot of other liquid lipsticks I've tried are much thicker and heavier. Despite being thin in constancy they still pack a pigmented punch and are fully opaque in one quick swipe, you definitely don't need to build up the opacity that's for sure! Once these liquid lipsticks have dried down on the lips they still feel super lightweight and they don't really feel that dry at all thank goodness, they do have an ever so slight tacky feeling when I rub my lips together to begin with but I'd much prefer that than dryness. The liquid lipsticks have a touch proof finish too, I literally pressed and rubbed my finger over my lips once the lippie had completely dried down and it never transferred onto my fingers, the more intense/bright shades are quite a bugger to remove so theres no worries when it comes to lasting power. Ohhh and did I mention they have a lovely light vanilla scent to them too, it's so yummy!
The six new shades are super pretty and right up my street, we have a couple of stunning nudes and some daring brights too, here's the run down...
Rose All Day* - A gorgeous nude that literally goes with everything,  I can see this one being super popular!
Page Me 143* - This is my favourite shade and my most worn out of the six new shades so far, it's the perfect mauve-pink!
Say I Do* - A stunning warm toned nude, again this one is super versatile and goes with everything!
Sex On The Beach* - A super bright coral- pink, I think this one would look perfect with a simple plain eye and winged liner!
Mocha Holic* - A chocolate coloured nude, I think this would be perfect with a bit of Say I Do in the centre to create and nude ombre lip.
Unicorn Poop* - A bright violet shade fit for an unicorn loving queen, this one is super striking and is perfect for the more brave lippie wearer!
(From left to right, Rose All Day - Page Me 143 - Say I Do - Sex On The Beach - Mocha Holic - Unicorn Poop)
Overall I really cant recommend the Feral liquid lipsticks enough, the quality is just so so good and that's really saying something coming from me because I've always been a bit of a fuss pot when it comes to liquid lipsticks, I'm always put off with the dry/tightness/cracking of liquid lippies but Feral Cosmetics are just so lightweight and lovely!

You can find the Feral Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks for £14.95 each HERE.
