Kit Stars Makeup Brushes Reviewed!

Hey beaut's!

I'm a serious makeup brush addict, I just cant resist collecting makeup brushes and putting them to the test so when Kit Stars launched their gorgeous makeup brushes on the Beauty Chamber website I couldn't wait to whack them on my face and get blending!

The Kit Stars makeup brushes come in either natural hair or synthetic vegan fibres for face, eyes and lips with 10 different head shapes to collect! I opted for the synthetic set because all of my makeup brushes I own are already synthetic and I'm happier with synthetics if I'm honest, plus synthetics work with powders, creams and liquids extremely well! Each Kit Stars brush has hand crafted, solid copper ferrules with a gold plated finish and sturdy black handles which look super sleek and professional, I also like how each brush has the brush number and name written on the side of them, this is great for beginners that might need some help on what to use each brush for. The brush bristles are an on off-white ivory colour and are the softest, fluffiest little beauties everrrr, arhhh I find myself just stroking my face randomly because it just feels so nice against my skin and not scratchy in the slightest!
Out of the 10 brushes I have theres 4 for the face and 6 for eyes and lips, obviously the brushes are all multi-use and can be used in numerous different ways, it's all about finding which brush works best in your routine really isn't it! Anywhooo here's the lowdown on all the brushes within the collection....
S1 Powder* (£10.00)
This is a lovely large fluffy powder brush best used for setting your face with pressed or loose powder, I've also used this one with my bronzer too and it blended like a dream.
S2 Shaping Veil* (£9.00)
This is probably one of my favourite plus the most useful brushes within the collection because you can literally use it in a multitude of ways from sculpting, contouring, highlighting, applying blush and blending in concealer, it's uses are never ended to be honest!
S3 Blush* (£10.00)
This is a nice fluffy brush that applies blusher beautifully, the bristles are the perfect shape to hug your cheekbones and leaves such a soft, defused wash of colour to the cheeks!
S4 Base* (£11.00)
Another one of my favourites within the collection is the base brush, we all long for that perfect foundation brush that will blend our base in quickly and effortlessly without a single streak in sight and this brush does just that, it's so simple to use and the results are flawless!
S30 Small Tapered Blender* (£7.00)
This little beauty is great for adding definition and contour shades through the crease line. The slimmer 'blending brush' design allows for more detailed blending out and can get right into the socket and inner corners with ease.
S31 Tapered Blender* (£7.00)
This is a staple in every ones makeup collection, it's a fluffy blending brush that applies transition shades through the crease line with ease and buffs and blends your eyeshadow out to pure perfection, yet another favourite of mine.
S32 Shader* (£7.00)
Another staple to add to your collection is a shader brush, this packs colour onto the lids quickly and is also the perfect shape to pack glitter on the face and eyes too. I also like to use this one for applying and blending eyeshadow underneath my lower lash line!
S33 Micro Pencil* (£6.00)
If your a fan of a highlighted into corner then your going to love this little brush, it's the perfect mini size that gets right into that tear-duct area so easily.
S40 Easy Lip* (£6.00)
The easy lip brush is small with a curved angle that allows perfect precision around the contours of the lips, I must admit I always use a lip brush with bolder colours like reds and burgundys and this brush makes light work of the application process.
S41 Short Angle* (£6.00)
No brush collection would be complete without a little angled brush to tackle those brows would it, I love this one because the bristles are so short and sturdy making it so precise and easy to achieve a killer brow!

Overall I am so impressed with these brushes, not only do they look stunning on my dresser but they are so easy to work with, they blend my makeup like a dream and they even wash up well without any shedding bristles and they keep their shape. The quality feels really professional with these too, I can seem them lasting me for years if I'm honest, I love them so much!

You can find the full Kit Stars Makeup Brush Collection on the Beauty Chamber website HERE with prices ranging from £6.00- £11.00!

Hi beaut's!

Can we all just take a minute to appreciate how beautiful these GWA Makeup Brushes are, oh my goodness I'm in love with them! I was actually lucky enough to win these makeup brushes as part of a twitter giveaway, I couldn't believe it because I never usually win anything ever! Since winning these little beauties I haven't stopped using them, I have a few of GWA's brushes from their original Fairytale Collection which I love but these....wow these are just stunning, and I thought it was about time they had their time to shine on my blog!
The Girls With Attitude Rainbow Collection consists of 10 cruelty free, vegan,  synthetic brushes for the face and the eyes, each brush has super soft hand-crafted ombré bristles going from turquoise to purple and then hot pink and are finished off with metallic rose gold/copper tinted handles, oh my I just cant get over how pretty these are! Within the set their are 6 face brushes and 4 eye brushes, so GWA have you fully covered for applying a full face of makeup. Here's the lowdown on whats exactly in the set....
Large Dome Powder Brush - a gorgeous big fluffy brush perfect for using with my setting powder to set my foundation in place, it's also great for bronzing up the skin too.
Angled Bronzer Brush - as the name would suggest this is the perfect brush to bronze and contour with, it's shape really cuts and sculpts the cheek bones whilst blending everything flawlessly at the same time.
Tapered Sculptor Brush - this one is great for applying powder blush to the cheeks, it's fluffy yet domed shape fits on the apples of my cheeks perfectly and again I've used this one with bronzer too and it works beautifully.
Flat Top Buffing Brush - this one is the most amazing brush for buffing in foundation flawlessly and super quickly, it's one of my favourites within the collection for sure.

Tapered Illuminator Brush - this one is perfect for either setting concealer into place or applying highlighter with which is my favourite way to use this brush, arhhh it makes my highlighter look incredible.
Flat Top Small Angled Buffing Brush - I like to use this brush in a couple of ways really, it's the perfect size to blend concealer in under the eyes or on blemishes, it's also great for pin-point contouring around the smaller areas of the face. I've even used it as a finishing brush to blend out my eyeshadow work, it's such a versatile brush.
Fluffy Tapered Blending Eye Brush - I love a fluffy blending brush to blend out all of my eyeshadow work flawlessly and if theres one fluffy brush that will get that job done with ease it's this one, I love it!
Angled Blending Eye Brush - this is another great brush for blending out eyeshadow work and it's angle means it fits so snug in the crease and can help build up some depth of colour whilst you blend.
Firm Flat Eye Shading Brush - this has been my go to brush for packing on colour all over my lid, it's shape and size is just perfect for it.
Precision Smudge Brush - I love popping eyeshadow underneath my eye and this little brush is perfect for that, it's also great for packing on inner corner highlight too.

Overall I am so impressed with these brushes, not only do they look stunning on my dresser but they are so easy to work with, blend my makeup like a dream and they even wash up well too without any shedding bristles. I also love that GWA sell all the brushes within the Rainbow Collection individually as well as in their set, this is great if you fall in love with a certain brush within a set and would like more than one to play with, I'd definitely like to add another Buffing Brush and Tapered Blending Eye Brush to my collection so I'll be treating myself to those very soon.

QVS Makeup Brushes and Tools Review

Hey beaut's!

Recently I was lucky enough to win a twitter giveaway and won some QVS makeup brushes and tools, I was super excited because firstly I never win anything and secondly I had never tried anything from QVS before so I was keen to give some of their bits and bobs a whirl.

If your new to QVS like I was, their an Australian brand that make makeup brushes and beauty tools at affordable prices starting at just £2.95, their range of brushes cover all bases such as face, eyes and lips and all can be used with either cream, liquid or powder products.
Firstly I gave their Powder Brush a whirl, this is made up of 100% natural bristles and can be used to apply finishing powder and bronzer. The first few times I used the powder brush I did get a little bit of shedding but this has calmed down now and I've been loving it for bronzer in particular, I find it's the perfect size and shape for me to bronze with, it's fab. Next up I've been giving their Foundation Brush a whirl, this is a standard flat foundation brush which is ideal for getting a seamless and smooth base with liquid foundations. It does get the job done and is great for getting into those hard to reach areas of the face but personally I prefer to use this type of brush for applying my primer or face masks. The Blusher Brush is actually quite a versatile brush that I've been using for loads of different things, it's a flat topped blender style brush which makes it ideal for not only defining your facial contours and cheekbones but also for buffing in foundation. I've not had any shedding from this brush either which is a major plus.
Lastly I have a couple of QVS beauty tools, my favourite are the Slant Tip Tweezers, oh my goodness these are easily the best tweezers I own, their just ideal for precisely plucking and shaping my brows and when I say precise these really are precise, I love them. Their Eyelash Curlers are also pretty good, they get the job done but I do have the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers which are insane, but if your looking for a good quality eyelash curler then these ones by QVS are pretty good a definitely give a slight curl and lift to my lashes.

Have you tried any QVS makeup brushes or tools before beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Look Good Feel Better Flawless Foundation Duo Set Review

Hey beaut's!

I've heard such good things about the Look Good Feel Better brand and charity recently, I mean whats not to love - they make makeup tools and brushes and help raise money for charity all at the same time, I think all of us beauty lovers would be down for that.
If you haven't heard of Look Good Feel Better before, they are the only worldwide cancer  charity providing practical support for women and teenagers struggling with the side effects from cancer treatment. Their free masterclasses and workshops in venues across the UK help woman and teens to regain their confidence, and a donation of 8-12% from each sale of their brushes goes directly to the charity!
Look Good Feel Better have lots of brushes to choose from but I've been giving their Flawless Foundation Duo Set* a whirl recently and have been super impressed, I mean I am a sucker for a good foundation brush or two after all he he. The LGFB Duo Set contains two brushes (obvs), theres a Duo Fibre Foundation Brush and an Angled Foundation Brush, theres also a handy little pouch you can store your brushes in too, this is great if you take your brushes out and about with you for touch ups as it will keep the bristles clean and safe. Each LGFB brush is hand-made using super soft taklon bristles; making them allergy free, environmentally friendly and suitable for sensitive skin.
The Duo Fibre Foundation Brush is my favourite out of the two brushes within the set, it has the softest bristles that blend in my foundation beautifully in a light non cakey way without leaving any streaky marks or patches, it's also great at applying cream bronzer and blusher too. The Angled Foundation Brush is more of your typical foundation brush however the shape of these sort of foundation brushes isn't usually my favourite, LGFB's offering is still good though, I find it just takes a little longer to work and blend my foundation however it's great for getting into those hard to reach area's around the nose and eyes because of it's angle. This brush is also great for mapping out cream contour and highlight, blending in concealer and it can even be used to add some powder to those hard to reach areas too.

Overall if your on the hunt for some new makeup brushes I 'd highly recommend Look Good Feel Better, the quality of the brushes is so so good and it's for such a good cause too.

You can find the full range of Look Good Feel Better's brushes at Marks and Spencer, Feel Unique, Look Fantastic and Beauty Expert.
