Soap & Glory's Summer Launches 2019!

 Hey beaut's!

Soap and Glory always win when it comes to their body lotions and potions, I've been a massive fan for years so whenever something new hits the shelves I cant wait to give it go. The latest launch in question is called 'Call Of Fruity', a summery collection scented with notes of blissful bergamot, creamy coconut, juicy melon and dewy gardenia, it's truly a scent straight from paradise!
The Call Of Fruity collection consists of the usual Soap & Glory holy grails such as a body scrub, a gorgeous body butter, body wash and of course hand food but Soap & Glory have also adding some brand new products to this collection....The Cooling All Girls Crackling Moisture Mousse* and the Paradise Glossed Moisturising Body Oil*.

The Cooling All Girls Crackling Moisture Mousse (£8.00) is so unique and unlike anything I've tried before, it's a lightweight mousse moisturiser which snaps, crackles and pops upon contact with your skin giving you an instant cool feeling as well as feeling moisturised! What I love about this product is that it has a super absorbent formula which means it rubs into the skin in seconds leaving the skin feeling hydrated as well as smelling heavenly, it honestly has that tropical holiday scent to it which I love and it really lasts on the skin, literally anyone you walk past gets a whiff of this gorgeous stuff!
Theres finally a shimmer of hope for us dry skinned gals that love a body oil, Soap & Glory's Paradise Glossed Moisturising Body Oil (£7.50) has been a god send for me, especially on the old elbows and knees. The body oil itself is packed with coconut and almond oils that not only nourish the skin but leave a gorgeous satin-soft glow which is super lightweight and never feels greasy. The oils are actually separated within the spray bottle so you need to give it a good shake before use but once you get spraying you'll be addicted, this is the perfect holiday oil in my opinion and that call of fruity scent is just...scent-sational!

You can find the new Soap & Glory Call Of Fruity Collection in store or online at Boots HERE.

How To Save Money On Beauty Products

Hey beaut's!

If you’re a bit of a cosmetics-aholic then you can end up spending a lot of money on beauty and skincare products. I’ve teamed up with cashasap.co.uk, who are short term loan direct lenders, to bring you some top tips on how to save money on your beauty products (without sacrificing the things you love!).

10 Tips To Save Money On Your Cosmetics

1. Points Cards and Vouchers
Loads of shops, both online and off, have loyalty or points cards available. A lot of these will allow you to build up points on your card which you can then use to buy something. Sometimes they’ll give you money off vouchers when you make a purchase. Both of these help you to get more for your money.

2. Sales
This one’s a little obvious, but nonetheless needs to go on the list. Look for sales from cosmetic retailers! You can save a lot of money if you buy your products in sales. Don’t be put off by the fact the product is reduced. This is rarely because it’s old; it’s often just to help with marketing for the business or because they’re discontinuing a line.

3. Shop Online
Shopping online allows you to compare the prices of products from different places (sometimes finding the sales!) so you can often save money. If you’re in a shop, you could always quickly look at prices online to check that you are getting the best deal before you head to the counter to pay.

4. Product Samples
If you make the most of product samples, you could get a lot of free makeup, skincare products and other cosmetics. If you love to have a range of different coloured lip glosses, for example, this is a really helpful trick! It’s also essential for tip number five...

5. Try Before You Buy (And Look At Reviews)
One of the most significant ways that most people waste money on cosmetics is buying and then deciding they don’t like it. You not only spend a lot of money on all the different cosmetics you go through, you also end up with a very full makeup bag! Try before you buy helps you to ensure you actually do want the product. You might be able to get free samples, or pay a small amount for sample-sized products.

As well as trying it out, you should also look at reviews. Even if you’re buying in store, you can look on your phone to see what other people have to say before you go to the checkout. This is a great way to see if it’s likely that you’re going to get on with the product.

6. Quality And Quantity
Quality is important, but it’s also worth checking the quantity, especially when you’re buying online. When you’re comparing the price of some products, from moisturisers to shampoos, it can be easy to think two brands cost the same while one actually contains a lot more product than the other. Check how much you’re actually getting so you can compare prices accurately and get the best value for your money.

7. Bulk Buy
Along a similar line, you can often get more value for your money when you buy in bulk, or buy the bigger version of a product. This is most useful when you know that you use a product a lot. There’s no point getting the bigger version of a product if you’re likely to stop using it -- that’s just wasting money!

8. Learn to DIY
Instead of going to get your nails done, at home manicures and pedicures are significantly cheaper and can result in just as good a look! You could even go so far as to look for some homemade recipes for various products, like face masks or even shampoo!

9. Choose Cheaper Brands
There are always cheaper alternatives to products. It’s true that they don’t all work as effectively as others, but choosing cheaper brands can be a great way to save money. The trick is to compare the active ingredients of products that are the same but in different price categories. If they have the same active ingredients as each other, then even if the percentages of those ingredients are a little different they’ll likely do the same job.

10. Prioritise
Of course, you wouldn’t want to DIY or choose a cheaper alternative to your favourite products, but you could consider it for the ones that you use less often or don’t care so much about. If you work out what your priorities are, you can spend more on the things you care about and less on the things you don’t so much!

There are loads of ways to save money on your cosmetics, skincare products and toiletries. If you have more ideas, do share them in the comments!

Press On Pedicure By Kiss imPRESS!

Hey beaut's!

If you've read my blog for a while now you'll probably already know that I bloody love Kiss imPRESS false nails, they have soooo many designs, lengths, shapes and pretty colours too choose from not to mention the application and removal process is so quick an easy! Recently imPRESS have added Press-On Pedicures to their collection...yes I did say a press-on pedi, and I was so intrigued and had to try a set out for myself!

I have the imPRESS Press-On Pedicure in the style High Tide which is your classic french style with a nude base and white tips, I love this style because their perfect for any season or occasion and go with pretty much any outfit or footwear that you might be wearing! The pack itself contains 24 nails in a variation if different sizes so you can get the perfect fit for your nails, and realistically you can get two full applications out of each set depending on sizing which is pretty good!
Now I'm not going to lie putting press on nails onto your toes does feel slightly weird at first but my goodness the results are fab... the application process is so quick, theres no faffing about with a nail polish or waiting around for your toe nails to dry and your toes instantly look perfect and sandal ready! I also found the nails lasted so long on my toes, and they honestly look like I've had them professionally done!

If you want to give you feet some love this Summer then I cant recommend the press-on pedicures by imPRESS enough, their so quick and easy - literally anyone can whack these on with ease - I really want to get a couple of the glittery packs now, they actually have some cracking designs available!

The Kiss imPRESS Press On Pedicures are available at Superdrug HERE.

4 Ways To Update Your Home!

Hey beaut's!

I've really been into decorating mine and my boyfriends house recently, freshening things up with a lick of paint and having a new bathroom put in have been the main things we've done but it got me thinking of how changing some simple things in your home can make a huge difference, so I thought I'd share them today!

Add Some New Decor
A simple way to update your home is with some new decor or adding a new colour scheme with things like pillows and throws, it freshens things up and can give a whole new feel to your home! Even if you don't really want to splash out on anything new then have a little switch around of the decor you already have, maybe use something you had in your lounge and move it into your bedroom or vice-versa!

A Lick Of Paint
A new paint job can drastically change the vibe of any room in your house, whether it means painting the entire room or just adding a new colour on one wall as a feature wall, it really makes a difference! We recently painted all the way from my downstairs entrance, up my stairs and onto my landing and I honestly cant believe how amazing it looks, I went for grey and it looks so fresh, clean and modern, I love it!

New Flooring
Now onto flooring, obviously this can be a big job but new flooring can make a big in pact on how you home looks and feels, it really adds that wow factor and flooring just completes any room your decorating really doesn't it! I don't know about you but I love the look of Engineered Wood FlooringEngineered wood flooring is a fantastic alternative to solid wood, it has the same high quality finish and beautiful look as solid wood, but is lower maintenance and more durable in the face of moisture or heat. Flooring 365 actually provide high quality engineered wood flooring to people in the UK, with so many different options to choose from at competitive prices, personally I'm swooning over their grey oak style, oh I can just imagine it in all it's glory with a fluffy white rug on top, lush! Engineered wood flooring is also a lot easier to keep clean and maintain, meaning its perfect if you have children or pets as you don't have the worry of staining, and any spillages whether its food or drink are so easy to completely clean up!

Adding Some Art
You honestly don't realise how popping some art or even a family photo on the wall can really switch things up in your home, it can turn that boring blank space on your wall into something quite magical! If you wanted to go the whole hog then a fancy feature wall would really make an in pact!

Are you thinking of giving your a home a little update? What are you wanting to change? I'd love to know!

Prestige Flowers Summer Radiance Bouquet

Hey beaut's!

Ahhh flowers.... I just love them! I always like to have a bunch of flowers in the house no matter what the season, I just feel like they really make a house a home not to mention they are super pretty and smell fabulous!
Today I have a stunning bouquet to share with you all from the lovelies over at Prestige Flowers, they have an array of bouquets to suit any season and occasion and I instantly fell in love with their Summer Radiance Bouquet (from £24.99) when I saw it. The bouquet arrived in a large, well padded upright box which is great, not a single flower or even a leaf was out of place or damaged, they where also beautifully wrapped which certainly makes them look that extra bit special, especially if your gifting someone a bouquet, and they come complete with a mini box of handmade chocolate truffles, plant food and care instructions so you can get the most out of your bouquet.
The Summer Radiance Bouquet is actually available in 3 sizes - Standard which is the size I have, Medium and Large, personally I think its nice to have the option of the 3 sizes because if you really want to wow someone you have that option to go big. Within the  Summer Radiance Bouquet you get British Grown Sunflowers, Farida Carnations, Blue Delphinium, Nacho Germini and Yellow Diamond Limonium, all of which create a beautiful summery bouquet with plenty of pops of colour going on. It's a lovely smelling bouquet too, when ever I come downstairs I get this whiff of fresh flowers which is lovely!

The delivery Prestige Flowers offer is amazing too....you can add a personal message and select the exact date you wish your bouquet to be delivered on, this is great if your sending a bouquet as a gift. Theres also options to add a vase, teddy and a big box of choccies as a little extra treat!

Whiffy Wax Melts Review

 Hey beaut's!

If you know me then you'll know that theres always a wax burner on or a candle burning in my house, I find it so comforting and relaxing not to mention the cosy vibes it brings as well as the added bonus of my house smelling incredible, so yeah - you can see I'm quite the addict! So you can imagine how excited I was when I recently got the chance to try some wax melts from Whiffy Wax, having not tried the brand before I was really intrigued!

Whiffy Wax literally sell everything that will make your house smell incredible, theres wax melts, wax burners, candles, room sprays, reed defusers, and carpet fresheners with so many scents to choose from. What I love about Whiffy Wax is that all of their products are made entirely by hand using only handpicked quality ingredients, no machinery is used during the manufacturing process and the products use recyclable eco-friendly materials and soy wax.

Whiffy Wax have soooo many scents to choose from whether you want bakery, fruity, fresh, floral, sweet, designer and luscious, theres literally a scent to suit everyone! My favourite scents are always anything sweet and foodie and also fresh and clean - and the melts I've been trying are certainly up there with my all time favourites! I have three fresh scents - Fresh Linen, Baby Powder and Cool Breeze and six sweeter scents - Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Cinnamon Buns, Fluffy Bubble, Vanilla Crunch, Strawberry Shortcake and finally Citrus Pound Cake! Honestly these scents are right up my street, my favourites so far are definitely Fresh Linen, Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Cinnamon Buns, they literally smell INCREDIBLE!

The quality of these wax melts is so good, you literally need a small chunk of the wax to pop into your burner and that's enough to provide a big ole scent throw, I wouldn't say their overpowering but they do certainly pack a punch. The wax also melts pretty much instantly so your not waiting around for the scent to start working it's way around the house, I find that really handy when you've got someone popping over at short notice and you want your house smelling lush quickly! I actually have the mini wax melts which provide 12 hours of burn time but personally I find they last sooooo much longer. The mini 1oz wax melts are £1.20 each or for better value you can get their Whopper Box of nine mega sized 2oz wax melts for £15.00.
I'm so impressed with these wax melts so far and it's made me really excited for - dare I say it - the Christmas scents, Whiffy Wax actually have some specific scents for Summer available right now but I can only imagine what epic scents they will have for Autumn and Christmas! I'm really interested in their designer scents too, who knew you could get a wax melt that smells of your favourite perfume, yup they have Lady Million, Daisy and Ghost, pretty epic right?!

Mål Paper Daily Goal Setter Review

Hey beaut's!

Diary's, journals and planners are a must for me, I'm forever writing to-do lists, keeping track of my work hours and my social schedule, also not forgetting all of my blogging ideas so it's a definite necessity for me! Recently I was introduced to a brand new stationery brand called Mål Paper who have just launched their very first product - the Daily Goal Setter planner - and obviously my planner obsessed self couldn't wait to see it for myself!
The Daily Goal Setter is the perfect planner to make your goals clearer, help you to be more productive and to structure your days. The Daily Goal Setter features sections for long-term and short-term goals, weekly and monthly reviews, daily plans sections and theres plenty of space to write to-do lists and tasks that need to be remembered, theres a 2019 and 2020 calender at the back of the planner as well as a general notes section! Theres also positive quotes all throughout the planner which I really appreciate, it's always helpful when you might not be having the best of days or weeks!
The actual style and quality of the planner itself I love, it's made up of PU faux feather which feels so soft and well made and would be pretty robust if your storing/throwing it in your bag, I chose the grey colour but the planner also comes in black and pink. The planner has 244 pages, lasts for 6 months, has 100 gsm ivory paper and contains 2 ribbon dividers and a document holder at the back of the planner.
If your someone who really needs to get more productive or if your already a planner addict I cant recommend the Mål Paper Daily Goal Setter enough, not only does it looks so nice it really helps you get shizz done, it declutters your mind and lets you document as much or as little as you like! I think the planner would make an awesome gift too because as far as planners go this one feels super luxurious!

You can find the new Mål Paper Daily Goal Setter for £20.95 HERE.

Oreo Cheesecake Recipe!

 Hey beaut's!

I'm sure you all know by now how much I love my bakes and cakes, I'm always sharing my sweet recipes on my blog but something I'd never attempted before was a cheesecake!! I'm a huge lover of Oreos (and cheesecake) so I knew my first ever cheesecake needed to be an Oreo one, I was also inspired by a recipe I found on Jane's Patisserie as her Oreo cheesecake looks immense, but I've adapted the recipe to suit me more!
What You Will Need - Oreo Biscuit Base
*2 packets or 300g Oreos, I used 1 pack of original and 1 pack of brownie flavour.
*100g Melted Unsalted Butter

What You Will Need - Cheesecake Filling
375g full fat Mascarpone or cream cheese. I used mascarpone because I found it much cheaper.
63g Icing Sugar
150ml Double Cream
Half a tsp Vanilla Extract
100g Oreos, I used 50g of original and 50g of brownies flavour.

What You Will Need - Decorations
150 ml Double Cream
2 tbsp Icing Sugar
12 Oreos + Oreo Crumbs

How To - Biscuit Base
1. Blitz up the Oreos to a fine crumb and pour in your melted butter and mix until it feels and looks like wet sand then pop it in a spring form tin and press down firm to pack those crumbs together.
2. Pop into the fridge or freezer to chill/set whilst you work on the cheesecake filling.

How To - Cheesecake Filling
1. Pop the mascarpone or cream cheese, icing sugar and vanilla extract into a large mixing bowl and whizz together with an electric/standing mixer until smooth.
2. Once smooth, pop in your double cream and mix again until well combined and thickened.
3. Blitz up more Oreo crumbs and add them to your cheesecake mixture and mix well to combine.
4. Heap the cheesecake mixture on top of the biscuit base and chill in the fridge ideally overnight however, I made mine first thing in the morning and left it to chill all day until dinner time and ours was fine. Basically the longer you can chill it the better!
5. Once the cheesecake has completely chilled and firmed up decorate how you like, I whipped up some double cream and added swirls on top then I used left over Oreo's crumbs as sprinkles and broke Oreo biscuits in half to pop around where I had piped the whipped up double cream and voila!
What I love about using Oreo's is that it's that ultimate cookies and cream flavour and you can adapt it so much now that Oreo's come in different flavours, I think the peanut butter flavoured Oreos would work well in this for any of those peanut butter lovers out there!

NOTD - Leighton Denny Wanderlust SS19 Collection!

Hey beaut's!

When it comes to nails Leighton Denny are where the parties attttt...They have so many pretty colours and finishes to choose from and their new Spring/Summer collection 'Wanderlust' is just gorgeous!

The Leighton Denny Wanderlust Collection consists of six shades all of which have been inspired by the high-life, memorable locations and summer sun, theres everything from nudes, red, gold and even a deep nautical navy to feast your eyes 'or should I say nails' on! I've been giving the shade 'Im In VIP*' a whirl which is a soft, cream pastel nude and I have to say I'm surprisingly in love with it because NEWSFLASH... I had never really worn a nail polish this light or this nude before, I just thought it wouldn't suit me but how wrong was I! It's a such a versatile shade that goes with anything and looks very clean and classy, it will also look epic with a tan and make those tootsies look mega cute too!
The formula of 'Im In VIP' is nice but it does need around 3 thin coats for complete coverage on my nails, the first couple of coats can be a little streaky but it doesn't bubble up at all and it drys really quickly which is always a bonus for me, especially when 3 coats are needed. Lasting power was really good though, I'm really heavy handed at work and at home with housework and what not and these kept up really well and didn't start chipping away until 3-4 days of wear which is really good for me, that's without a top coat too.
I really like the look of all the shades within this collection which is rare for me, I'm definitely going to need the coral and the gold shade that's for sure! Have you tried any of the shades from this collection beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

You can find the Leighton Denny Wanderlust Collection HERE.
