Review: Stila "In The Light" Eyeshadow Palette

After receiving this gorgeous palette as a gift last year its fair to say I'm in love with it. The  first thing i absolutely loved about this palette was the colour range, every single colour in this palette is right up my street and id wear every single one of them, they can take you from a day look to an evening look in minuetes.  The second thing i love is the quality of the eye shadows their selves, the pigmentation is amazing and the consistency is great too.

In the palette itself you get 12 eye shadows, 4 matte shades and 6 shimmer shades also as a little Brucie bonus you get the Stila "Smudge Stick Waterproof  Eye Liner" in Damsel. The matte eye shadows are very soft and have that  silky smooth feeling and the shimmer shades have a lovely creamy feel and are really easy to blend, both are very highly pigmented.  The fact this palette comes will a full size eyeliner is just fab as you get to try out another Stila product that you might not of even bothered to look out for in the future let alone try. The eyeliner is amazing, it applies really easily the pigmentation is amazing and the staying power is great, once its on its on, there's no budging it, however you do get a few minuetes to smudge it out of your going for that look. The colour itself is a dark matte brown with no shimmer or glitter running through it which is great if your looking for an alternative to black eyeliner. On a whole i think this palette is such great value for money, its £25 for 12 great quality eye shadows and an equally as great eyeliner, which on its own is priced at £14 so all in all the palette gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

You can buy this palette from Boots, or check out some online retailers like ASOS and FeelUnique.

From left to right, Bare (matte), Kitten (shimmer), Bliss (matte) , Sunset (shimmer) and Standstone (matte).

From left to right, Champagne (shimmer), Gilded Gold (shimmer), Luster (shimmer), Night Sky (shimmer) and Ebony (matte).

Damsel Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner.

Pretty Peplum's.

Ooh Hi!!! I thought i would do a little bit of a write up about how much I'm in love with peplum tops recently.

I bought these two little beauty's from New Look for a bargain price of £7.99, I know right 7 bloomin 99. My first attraction to these wasn't only just the lovely print but the shape was lovely, personally they are perfect for my body shape as I'm quite curvaceous and i have a few lumps and bumps i like to conceal so the fact that these pull you at your smallest point is great.

This is my favourite out of the two, i love the colour as its a very current colour right now and the horse design is lovely and gives it that extra edge.

This black peplum top with the little white owls is adorable, i also love the fact you can dress these up for and evening or wear them more casual for the day time, i love wearing mine with my blazer at the moment.

On a whole i love these tops and defiantly think that no matter what your shape is they look amazing weather your trying to add some shape to your figure or just trying to give yourself a smoother silhouette like me they are brilliant.

My Most Worn.

Righty, I had an idea of doing a bit of  a show and tell of my most worn gem's.
These are things that i wear the most, use the most and repurchase the most. I do always seem to have things  that i prefer one month and then then next month I'm not so bothered by then but quite frankly the things I'm gonna list below i couldn't be without.

My Most Worn......

Foundation

This is 'Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation' in 100 Ivory, i have soooo much love for this, Ive been using foundations since i was about 17 years old and since then I had never been able to find that perfect foundation for me, they where either not the correct shade or made me break out and get oily skin. This however ticks all the boxes for me, Ive lost count of how many times Ive repurchased this as i just love it sooo much.

Mascara

I love this 'Max Factor False Lash Effect' Mascara in black, it basically does what it says on the tin, it gives you very full, long and separated lashes and is very buildable which allows you to really layer it on without clumping. As much as i love higher branded mascara's i cant always afford them but this is amazing value for money and great for abit of a cheaper alternative to the 'Benefit Bad Gal Lash' .

Nail Polish

Barry M Nail Paints are by far the best nail polishes Ive tried and this one ' Raspberry' (273) is my most worn, its great for toes and fingers and can always work no matter the season.

Blouse

This gorgeous blouse might not be to everyone's taste (my boyfriend calls it the granny blouse) but i love it, its from Select and i got it last April in the sale, Ive certainly got my moneys worth out of it that's for sure. I find i can wear in tucked into jeans or shorts or wear it over the top of jegging's for a more floaty look and even in the winter u can layer it up with a top underneath and a chunky cardie, the list is endless.

Handbag

My boyfriend bought me this 'Pauls Boutique Holly Bag' a few birthdays ago and Ive literally not used another bag since, i love it. It looks pretty, its very spacious with lots of room but not too big where u feel u have a suitcase on your shoulder he he also the quality is great i cannot fault it at all.

Shoes

This was very hard to choose from as to be honest like most woman i have LOADS of shoes, boots and sandals but Ive gone for the ones that i reach for the most and that go with most outfits i wear. The flatforms i had lusted over for yonks but didn't want to spend a fortune on the ones i had seen in Topshop or River Island so i looked on good old eBay and found them for a bargain £10 from an eBay store (not an individual seller) so i snapped them up, they are great for nights out and if your like me and cant walk in high heels these are perfect. The little gold ballet shoes are from New Look and as you can see they are a little worse for wear now Ive literally worn them to death as they are so comfortable and light weight and if i remember rightly they where only about £5 in a sale, which to me makes them even nicer.

I hoped you enjoyed finding out a few of my most worn treasures, i will certainly do another most worn blog post in the future  if you'd like another one :)

Snow Days.

Sooo the white stuff that we all wish for at Christmas has finally arrived in the UK.
Honestly after the last few days I think alot of people are getting fed up with the snow now, it prevents them from getting to their jobs, going to school and doing basic day to day things.
Like I said the snows been here a  few days now and I cant believe the amount we have had in the UK and in Norfolk where I live, to others around the world  it may seem like nothing but we only ever see snow once maybe twice a year so its abit of a shock to the system for us.
I personally love the snow, everything looks pretty, families are making snowmen or having fun sledging and i think its just so lovely to see.
The snow doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon so i say make the most of it while we can, have fun, wrap up warm and most importantly keep safe.

Here are a few photo's Ive taken over the last few days. Hope you like them.
