September Favourites ♥

Hey beaut's!

It's that time again.... Monthly favourites time! Wow hasn't this month gone quick, I know I say that every month but I cant quite believe how quick these months are whizzing past! I'm so happy that everything is finally getting autumnal, I literally live for Autumn/Winter and I cant wait for these next few months. Anywhoo back onto today's post, I thought I would switch things up this month and combine both my beauty and non beauty favourites today, hope you enjoy!
My ultimate favourite this month has to be my Gingerbread Candle from Home Bargains, this was only £3.00 and smells insanely good, just like your baking a batch of gingerbread men, it amazing! It's such a good size too, it's in a heavy glass jar and is as large as the big Yankee Candles making this amazing value! Another non beauty favourite of mine this month has to be the Jim Jams Hazelnut Chocolate Spread*, this stuff is incredible, it contains 83% less sugar than your average hazelnut/chocolate spread and I'm always whacking some on toast or bread for a quick snack, I love it in the mornings too on toast with sliced banana on top, it's divine! This is actually my second tub, ooopsie!
Makeup wise this month I haven't switched things up too much but I've been obsessed with my Too Faced Born This Way Foundation that I got for my birthday in August, the coverage is great but isn't heavy feeling on the skin at all, it's so long lasting and never goes patchy, I have the shade ivory and it's bang on my for me, all in all I've been super impressed by this so far and will be reviewing in full soon! Something else that I got on my birthday that I've been loving is my MAC Lipstick in Twig, it has the same sort of tones as Brave, Mehr and Faux but it's slightly deeper making it great to transition from Summer into Autumn. Lastly for makeup is the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, I'm sure I wasn't the only one eager to get this as soon as the Kat Von D collection went live on the Debenhams website, I have always lusted after this liquid liner and finally after using it I can confirm that all the hype is true, it's bloody amazing and hasn't left my makeup bag since it arrived!
I've also been totally obsessed with my Spectrum Eye Blending Brush Set, their honestly some of the best brushes I've ever used and they make such a difference in how my overall eye makeup looks, I have a full review HERE if you'd like to know more. Finally my last favourite this month is the Zoella Hungry Hands Hand Cream, I was so exited about this release and it certainly didn't disappoint, it's such a lovely hand cream that nourishes and soaks straight into the skin, not to mention it smells absolutely incredible! Check out my full review HERE beaut's!

What have you been loving this month beaut's? I'd love to know!

September Degustabox Review + £7 off Discount Code

Hi beaut's...

I have a subscription box review for you all today but it's a subscription box with a difference.... it contains yummy food and drink, so say hello to Degustabox*. Degustabox works very much like how beauty subscription boxes work, for £12.99 a month (postage included within the £12.99 price) you will receive 10 to 15 surprise food/drink products, many that are completely new to the market! So if your a bit of a foodie like myself  and you love subscription boxes your going to love this beaut's! I have to say that over the last few months the contents of each box really has been amazing, I literally cant wait to tuck in and this months certainly has me drooling he he!

This month we have 16 yummy food and drink items to sink our teeth into starting with some savoury treats from Say YES to no, I had their BBQ Toasted Bread Chips £1.49 to try and wow these are yummy! The brand is all about being bare and contains no artificial flavourings or additives, no colourings, no marketing lies, no photo shopped images on the packaging and no phony advertising. Then I had two packets of Chia Seeds, one milled packet and one whole packet £1.00 each, Chia Seeds are huge in the health food world at the moment, they are tiny black and white seeds that can be added to food to boost nutrition, the best way to use these is mixed through your porridge or in smoothies I think! Next up is a box of Miso Tasty Miso Soup £3.65, I'm a lover of soup but have never tried Miso Soup so I'm excited to give it a whirl! We also have a 3 pack of Cirio Borlotti Beans to try £1.89, these are great to add into soups and stews to bulk them out, so they came at the right time really now Autumn is here.

Moving on to some sweeter treats, this month we have Metcalfe's Popcorn Thins £1.00, I absolutely love the Metcalfe's brand and I'm always buying their rice cakes that have been dipped in chocolate so when I saw that these where popcorn thins I couldn't wait to tuck in, I got the dark chocolate flavour and wow they where amazing, I will definitely buying more! Then I had a Get Fruity Bar in Tangy Pineapple, Coconut and Lime flavour £1.00, this is an award winning fruit and oat bar which is gluten free with no added refined sugar, it was super, super tasty! Also this month I got four Hartley's No Added Sugar Jelly Pots 50p each in an assortment of flavours, I absolutely love jelly so these wont last five minutes with me, I think they make great desserts that aren't too naughty or bad for the waistline he he.

Last up this month I have some drinks, starting with the Teisseire Sirop in Raspberry and Cranberry flavour £2.99, we drink loads of juice and squash in our house so this went down a treat, you only need to smallest amount of the sirop to add to water so I can see this lasting us absolutely ages, it's super refreshing and tasty too! There was also two cans of Cape Drinks to try which are £1.59 each, these are a sparkling blend of anti-oxidant Rooibos Tea and fruit juices that contains no refined sugar and are made from only natural ingredients, again these where super refreshing and tasty and felt like such a treat!

Degustabox have kindly given me a discount code for all of my beautiful readers, all you have to do is pop BLDEG15 into the promotional code box and you'll receive a whopping £7.00 discount when registering making your first box just £5.99. And don't worry beaut's, theres no commitments with Degustabox meaning you can cancel your subscription free of charge before the 10th of any month, but I mean why would you cancel monthly surprise food treats ha ha!

What do you think of the Degustabox concept beaut's?? I'd love to know your thoughts.

Zoella Hungry Hands Hand Cream Review

Hey beaut's!

When Zoella announced her Christmas Collection I couldn't wait to get my hands on it 'literally' he he. One thing from her gingerbread themed collection I knew I would need in my life asap was her Hungry Hands Hand Cream, during the colder months I go through hand cream like its going out of fashion so as soon as Zoella's offering was in stock I quickly ordered myself a tube to try!
The Zoella Hungry Hands Hand Cream comes beautifully packaged in a brown box with the 90ml tube of hand cream safely tucked inside, I adore the 'brown paper packages tied up with string' vibe that this collection has running through it, it's so cute and festive without being too 'young' looking. The hand cream itself is white with a creamy consistency, it's enriched with Shea butter and vitamin e which together make this a super moisturising hand cream. What I love about this hand cream is that it doesn't take long at all to soak into my hands, it literally melts into my skin and theres no sticky residue afterwards either, that's a huge pet hate of mine and so many hand creams leave my hands tacky after application so I'm so happy I don't have that problem with Hungry Hands. Scent wise its gorgeous, its made up of pinch of ginger and a dash of vanilla so as you can imagine it smells super festive and just like gingerbread which is one of my favourite scents throughout autumn and winter.
Overall I'm so impressed with this hand cream, it gets the job done, smells amazing, looks great and is great value for money considering the tube is quite substantial, and the fact it soaks straight into the skin gives this hand cream major points from me!

You can buy the Zoella Hungry Hands Hand Cream on the Superdrug website HERE for £6.00, although at the moment it's on offer for £5.00.

Have you tried anything from Zoella's Christmas range yet beaut's? I'd love to know!

Yankee Candle Halloween Collection Reviewed

Hey beaut's!

It's that time of year again where I go slightly candle crazy, I love nothing more than getting super cosy at home during Autumn and Christmas with all my candles and fairy lights on, so when I saw my local garden centre had the brand new Yankee Candle Halloween Collection out I just couldn't resist picking them up to try! These where actually in my garden centre in August which is when I picked these up, see I told you I get excited he he!

Much like every Halloween, Yankee Candle jazz up the packaging and bring out something new and limited edition for their large glass jars and this years seriously do not disappoint! However the new packaging isn't the only thing to get excited about this year, yes we still have Candy Corn and Witches Brew to burn but theres also a brand new Halloween scent, Forbidden Apple, say whatttt!!!!!
Forbidden Apple is described as 'a seductive potion that takes apple—mixed with bergamot, black oak and vanilla noir—to someplace forbidden' for me this smells soooo much like a crisp, slightly sour green apple that has just been cut into, its quite sweet smelling which I love without being sickly and I get a slight hint of vanilla when it's burning too but  predominantly it's apple scented. As this is a new scent for 2016 I would get your hands on it when you can as I can see this one being super popular this year!

Next up is Candy Corn which is hands down my favourite Halloween scent by Yankee Candle and I always make sure I stock up on it when it come out each year, this one is described as 'the familiar, sweet scent of candy corn which is a fond reminder of Halloween fun and treats' which I have to say is pretty on point to be honest. If you like sweet scents then you'll love Candy Corn because it definitely has that 'candy/sugary' vibe running through it, I also get waves of vanilla, caramel and butterscotch when I burn this, oh my it's divine! Even though Candy Corn is a sugary, sweet scent it isn't sickly or heavy at all, instead its very light and and the scent throw is subtle but still recognisable. I love this one soooooo much!

Finally we have Withes Brew, this another one we see brought back every year by Yankee Candle, this one is described as 'The spicy sweet aroma of exotic patchouli, casts a captivating spell!'. This too me is like a proper, realistic Halloween themed candle because it actually smells quite 'scary', it's very musky and masculine and actually does make me think that an actual witches brew would smell like this, it's earthy with a aftershave twist! This one  really isnt my cup of tea to be honest, only because I love sweeter scents rather than musky ones but I'd definitely say it really captures the Halloween vibe in this scent!

All the Yankee Candle wax tart melts claim to provides up to 8 hours of fragrance but personally I find they last sooooo much longer, I can literally have the wax tarts burning in my tart burner for weeks and they still fragrance the entire house which is amazing and such great value for money considering they only set you back £1.49 each.

I actually picked up another set of these Yankee Candle Halloween Tarts to giveaway on Twitter, if you'd like to enter just retweet my pinned tweet HERE and follow me! The giveaway will be UK only and will be open for two weeks, so if you win you'll get them in time for Halloween!

Will you be buying any of the Halloween Yankee Candles this year?? Let me know beaut's!

Barry M Mist and Fix Makeup Setting Spray Review

Hey beaut's!

Makeup setting and fixing sprays seem to be everywhere at the moment and I for one am absolutely loving them, I'm a huge fan of the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray but I tend to go through it super quickly and at £22.00 a bottle it's something I cant really be repurchasing on a regular basis so I needed to find a cheaper alternative quickly.

After having a good look in Superdrug I came across Barry M's new Mist and Fix Makeup Setting Spray which was only £4.99 a bottle and impressively it came in a dewy finish and matte finish, how amazing is that, I was sold straight away and bought the dewy finish version because of my dryer skin and love for the dewy/glowing look.

I literally have nothing bad to say about this makeup setting spray at all, it literally does exactly what it says on the tin, the mist when you apply it is super fine and distributes evenly, the formula is super lightweight and sets within seconds and then becomes invisible on the skin, it hydrates and conditions the skin, it gently fixes/sets my makeup into place for long-lasting wear, uses ingredients to protect the skin from dirt and pollution and best of all leaves my skin looking healthy, dewy and reduces any look of over powdering or caking!

To use the Barry M Mist and Fix Makeup Setting Spray I simply hold the bottle at arms length, close my eyes and do 3-4 spritzes over my face once my makeup is applied in an cross shape, this just makes sure the spray covers all angles of my face. I sometimes like to use the spray before I apply my makeup too as a slight priming water, I find this really helps with blending especially if I'm using a beauty blender and leaves such a smooth finish.

Overall I'm so happy I picked this bottle of gorgeousness up, its definitely worth picking up if your looking for a good, reasonably priced fixing/setting spray and the fact it comes in the two finishes theres something to suit everyone. The bottles size is great too, it's 30ml so it fits inside my handbag and makeup bag super easily and I love the hot pink packaging!

Have you tried either of the Barry M Mist and Fix Makeup Setting Sprays beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Avene Tolérance Extrême Mask Review

Hey beaut's!

I'm a huge fan of Avene's skincare, I have very sensitive skin which is always in need of a moisture boost and I find their the one skincare brand I can always rely on for being extremely gentle on my skin. I've recently been giving their Tolérance Extrême Mask a whirl and have been so impressed by the results, if you have dry skin beaut's you need this little beauty in your life!
The Avene Tolérance Extrême Mask* is an intensely soothing and calming mask for all skin types, even the most sensitive like myself. This refreshing mask contains a combination of only 7 skin friendly ingredients, which leave the skin intensely hydrated, without that heavy feeling, allowing skin to breathe! It's also great at re-plumping the skin and comforting, it's like a friendly hug for your face he he.
At the moment I've been using this mask once or twice a week, I feel like before using this mask my skin was very half and half, some days it was very dry and other days it's only dry in patches, so once or twice a week usage is perfect for me right now. I tend to slap the mask on quite thickly during the evening leaving it on for a good 10 minutes or so, the formula is super creamy and whilst the masks on it feels super cooling and soothing, and actually feels like its doing something and perking my skin right up! Once the 10 minutes is up my skin honestly feels amazing, it's so hydrated and plumped and dryness seems to be a thing of the past, I can tell that this mask is going to be an absolute essential for me during Autumn and Winter this year because my skin is SOOOO dry during that time so I cant wait to really put this too the test then!
Overall I think this is a gorgeous mask and it would work perfectly for anyone who really needs a moisture boost or who finds dryness a real pain, it nourishes my skin so much locking in moisture and in turn my makeup sits better on my skin and my face looks and feels so smooth and soft. Another amazing this about the Avene Tolérance Extrême Mask besides the product itself is the packaging, it might look like your average packaging but in actual fact it's completely sterile meaning no air can get in and out of the tube. The masks formula is entirely protected without the need for any preservatives or parabens; this is why the ingredients list is so sparse, pretty cool huh.

You can find the Avene Tolérance Extrême Mask for £15.00 on the Escentual website HERE.

Have you tried the Avene Tolérance Extrême Mask beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Kat Von D Debenhams Wishlist

Hey beaut's!

Finally Kat Von D makeup is now available in the UK thanks to Debenhams, I think we all need to plea with Debenhams to bring Tarte to their website next he he. I was so excited about this launch, I love Kat Von D and her makeup line always gets such high praise so I couldn't wait to put a wish list together and of course place a little order. So far I've only ordered the Tattoo Liner, I wear liquid liner everyday and have trailed so many so it was a no brainer really, I just HAD to try Kat's offering really didn't I he he. I'm also after the liquid lipstick in Lovesick, my friend has actually ordered that so I'm waiting to see what it's like on her first and to see what she thinks of the formula. I've also always had my eye on Kat's Shade and Light Palettes so as long as I get on with the eyeliner one of those palettes could be my next purchase!

Autumn Beauty Essentials ♥

Hey beaut's

Being the Autumn/Winter lover that I am I couldn't resist doing a post dedicated to some of the beauty products that I know are going to be well loved by me this season. Firstly I love all things berry/burgundy toned in Autumn, so for my eyes the MAC Burgundy Times Nine Palette and my MAC Cranberry Eyeshadow are a must for me, I think if your looking for one palette to have this Autumn the Burgundy Times Nine Palette is the one to go for, it's filled with burgundy hues and even has a pretty gold shade within it too. If your looking for something quicker to use and affordable the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate is great too.
Next up is that pout... It's essential to look after your lips over the colder month's as they are prone to getting dry, flaky and chapped when it's freezing cold. I love to use a good scrub a couple of times a week and I generally just make my own with caster sugar, olive oil and honey. Lip Balm and a berry toned lip is also a must during the cooler months and my current favourites are the Anatomicals Never Lose Your Cherry Lip Balm and the Revlon ColorStay Moisture Lip Stain in Parisian Passion, however if I'm going for something more muted I LOVE MAC's Twig lipstick!
For foundation I like to use something that's quite dewy and healthy looking and not heavy on the skin and Rimmel's Match Perfection is always a winner for me, this stuff is seriously good. My perfume of choice is a no brainer really, it has to be YSL's Black Opium, it's such a warm, musky scent perfect for the winter months. Lastly I just had to include my Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Hand Food, my hands get so dry in the colder weather so I literally have this little baby with me 24/7.

What are your Autumn/Winter beauty essentials beaut's? I'd love to know!

My Top Autumn Nail Polishes

Hi beaut's!

As Autumn approaches its the perfect time to switch things up in your makeup and nail polish stash, gone are the days of pastel pinks and neon oranges, it's time to get those deeper, darker hues back out! I was actually going through my all of my nail polishes the other day and got out my six favourites that I want to rock this Autumn so I thought I'd share them with you all today!
I tend to reach for a lot of berry and plum tones during the Autumn, and as you can see I have picked out a few to wear this year but I've also switched things up a bit and added and copper, green and navy into the mix and I love them all so much!
From left to right I have Barry M's Nail Paint in Raspberry - This has been a favourite of mine for many years and I'm always having to repurchase it, it's just the most beautiful raspberry red shade and is great to transition from Summer into Autumn. Then I have Barry M's Molten Metal Nail Paint in Copper Mine - This is a new favourite of mine which is ideal for Autumn, it's a gorgeous copper-toned polish which is crammed with multi-tonal shimmer that catches the light beautifully, this looks great used on accent nails too. Moving on to Barry M's Nail Paint in Berry Cosmo - Berry Cosmo is absolutely stunning, it's a rich deep plummy purple that I'm totally in love with. Then I have a couple of Essie Nail Polishes starting with the shade Power Clutch, this goes on khaki and really reminds me of Parka coat which I always rock during the Autumn, I also have the shade Mind Your Mittens also by Essie which is creamy, dark Navy shade but in some lights it can also look somewhat dark Grey, I love it! My final autumnal nail polish pick is Barry M's Matte Nail Paint in Crush - I think this could be my favourite Autumn nail polish you know, its a very deep burgundy wine colour which I think looks absolutely stunning, I seriously cant get enough of it!

All of the nail polishes above apply like a dream without any bubbling or streaking and last a good amount of time on the nails, I honestly don't think you can really beat Barry M or Essie can you, the price and quality is amazing!

What are your favourite nail polishes to wear during Autumn beaut's? I'd love to know!
