NEW Makeup Revolution I ♥ Makeup 'Naked Underneath' Eyeshadow Palette

Hey beaut's!

Makeup Revolution are always on it when it comes to new releases aren't they?? And this time around we have another eyeshadow palette to play with, yessssssss! As you can probably tell Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palettes are my absolute favourites so I always go slightly ga ga when they launch a new palette he he. So lets say hello to the I ♥ Makeup 'Naked Underneath' Eyeshadow Palette*.
From the get go the I ♥ Makeup 'Naked Underneath' Eyeshadow Palette is slightly different from anything we've seen from Makeup Revolution packaging wise before... The usual sleek, shiny lid has been replaced with a black faux fur lid and is finished off with a clear crystal-cut heart placed in the middle, much like the other  I ♥ Makeup Eyeshadow palettes. Personally I love the change, its just so different and unique, I've honestly never seen anything like it before, the only thing I will say is that when I first stroked the fur (he he) it did shed slightly, don't get me wrong it is beautifully soft but to stop the shedding I'd suggest lightly spraying it with abit of hairspray from a distance, that's what I did and it works a treat and the faux fur is still lovely and soft.

The I ♥ Makeup 'Naked Underneath' Palette contains 16 beautiful natural and smokey indulgent eye shadows in total, 6 of which have a matte finish and the other 10 have shimmer/metallic finishes. The shade range within the 'Naked Underneath' Palette is gorgeous and totally up my street, theres a lovely selection of neutral tones, golds, coppers and even some dark jewel toned shades which I think all compliment each other beautifully to create numerous looks for day and night.
As always I really have no complaints on the eye shadow's quality, Makeup Revolution seem to make such amazing eye shadows don't they he he. Each eyeshadow within the 'Naked Underneath' palette has great pigmentation, are easy to work with and blend out a treat and they last great on my oily eyelids without any creasing or fading most of the day. I have to admit I've been really blown away by this palette, the shades are just so beautiful and I couldn't be happier with how the shadows perform.
All in all I think this is another absolute hit by Makeup Revolution, the shades within the palette are absolutely stunning and so wearable, I particularly like the gold/copper tones shades, arrhhh they're gorgeous! Like always the palette is an absolute bargain at just £7.99, that's around 49p per eyeshadow, wowza!

Have you tried the Makeup Revolution I ♥ Makeup 'Naked Underneath' Eyeshadow Palette yet?? What did you think beaut's?? I'd love to know!

February Non Beauty Favourites ♥

Hey beaut's!

You may remember that at the beginning of last year I added a new little monthly feature to my blog in the shape of non beauty favourites, and silly me I didn't keep up with it so I thought it was about time I got back on my non beauty favourites wagon he he.

Anyway lets get down to business ha ha.....

Eastenders
I'm pretty sure every ones been glued to Eastender's recently, the 'Who Killed Lucy' storyline has been going on for nearly a year and finally during their 30th Anniversary and Live Week we found out it was..... Bobby! I have literally been saying for the last few weeks that I thought Jane was covering up for Bobby, I cant wait to see where the storyline goes from here, also who else was in complete shock when Cathy stepped out of that Black cab!!

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
This month was a very good month indeed because my local Tesco have started selling Krispy Kreme Doughnuts! I cant tell you how many years I've actually wanted to devourer a Krispy Kreme Doughnut, so you can imagine how excited I got when the word got out that my Tesco store had started stocking them. I literally sprinted out to get my first pack and they may have been pricey but they are oh so worth it, so thank you Tesco ha ha.

Love, Tanya by Tanya Burr
If I'm being honest I'm not a huge book reader, but when I heard Tanya Burr was releasing a book covering lifestyle, beauty and baking I knew it would be right up my street and I would just have to buy a copy, I mean beauty and baking all in one book... I'm sold ha ha! So far I'm really been enjoying the book, it's definitely more suited to my age as most Youtubers bring out books that are more targeted towards the younger generation, it's been so nice to read more about Tanya's life aswell as makeup, beauty and baking too. I will be doing a full review on the book so keep your eyes peeled for that beaut's!

Breaking Bad
I know, I know I'm very late to the Breaking Bad party ha ha... Me and my boyfriend always like to have snugly nights where we watch a TV series and we usually end up staying up ridiculously late if we get hooked on them, this time around we decided to give Breaking Bad a go and yup, we are obsessed! We only started watching season one about a week ago and we have already completed that and are now half way through season 2, see I told you we are obsessed ha ha.

What have you been loving non beauty wise throughout February beaut's?? I'd love to know!!

Outfit I'm Lusting After #1 ♥

Hey beaut's!

Today I thought I'd share with you all an outfit I'm currently lusting after, I've never really done this style of post before so I thought I'd switch things up and add a new edition to my blog, I might do these post on a weekly basis, as let face it us ladies are always lusting after tones of clothes aren't we ha ha. This outfit I'm after at the moment is a nice transitional outfit from Winter to Spring, the ripped-high waisted skinny jeans from Topshop are huge this season and look great with any outfit as they can be dressed up or down, the crop top from New Look I thought was so pretty and because the jeans have the high waisted factor their shouldn't be to much belly out at all he he. The blazer style jacket also from New Look, adds the warmth and really makes the outfit look more smart and grown up and could be used during the day and night. I absolutely love block heel ankle boot's, I think they'd work perfectly with this outfit and are practical as they keep your tootsies nice and warm and I thought the RayBan's would be a nice finishing touch as hopefully we will have a nice sunny spring this year ha ha.

Zoella Beauty Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Today I thought I would share my thoughts on a couple of beauty goodies that I actually received last Christmas from the Zoella Beauty range. I'm pretty sure if your into watching beauty, fashion and lifestyle related video's on YouTube that you've all heard of Zoe Sugg (Zoella) before, I started watched her video's years ago and now shes so popular she has 7 million YouTube subscribers under her belt, a pampering range 'Zoella Beauty' and a number one selling book Girl Online, you go girl ha ha.

I'm pretty sure Zoella Beauty launched during September last year (don't quote me on that) which is a beauty line unlike others, it isn't focused on makeup in any way but instead it has everything you'd need for a good ole girlie pamper session, from body lotion, shower cream, a candle, bath fizzer, body mist and even makeup bags, the line certainly has everything you'd need to feel utterly spoilt and relaxed!
I actually received the Soak Opera Bath Soak and Shower Cream and the Fizz Bar Fragranced Bath Fizzer in my stocking last Christmas from my parents (mid twenties or not I still appreciate a stocking at Christmas ha ha) as they know how much I love my pamper nights and baths. On first impressions the packaging is just gorgeous with neutral pastel shades, polka dots & Zoe's lovely handwritten logo, its so up my street and will look pretty in any ones bathroom or on any dressing table. As for the scent...  It's very sweet and fruity, but isn't sickly or overpowering in anyway and contains notes of strawberry, violet, jasmine, vanilla and gardenia which I really like, the same fragrance runs throughout the entire collection too.

Soak Opera Bath Soak and Shower Cream 490ml £5.00
The Zoella Beauty Soak Opera is a multi use product, you can either pop it into the running bath water to create a nice bubbly bath or it can be used as a shower gel as well, I love the fact that this can be used both ways as you get more for your money that way. The bottle itself is quite large and holds a whopping 490ml's worth of product, which is a good thing because if it was only a 200ml bottle it would be gone pretty quickly because if you want to achieve a nice bubbly bath then you need to use a hell of alot of product, I just kept pouring and pouring and not much was happening and in the end I used up a quarter of the Soak Opera just for one bubble bath! When used as a shower gel I found it lathered up well when used with a loofah and smelt amazing, the Vitamin E, Aloe and Shea Butter really soften and nourish the skin which is lovely if you have dry skin like myself. Overall I much prefer using the Soak Opera as a shower gel rather than a bubble bath, you waste too much product using it as a bubble bath and the bubbles seem to disappear rapidly too which is OK if you like a quick bath but not if you like a long hot soak like I do he he.

Fizz Bar Fragranced Bath Fizzer 200g £5.00

The Zoella Beauty Fizz Bar really is lovely, you get 8 little fizzer cubes in total that are put together in the packaging like a thick, chunky chocolate bar, the little 'Do Not Eat' stickers made me chuckle too because from the outside it really does feel like a chocolate bar. The packaging suggests using 1-2 cubes of the fizz bar per bath, I always use 2 which means I got 4 baths out of my fizz bar however you can get 8 baths out of it if you just use the 1, which I think is such great value. Once popped in the bath, the little chunks began fizzing away and leave your bath water smelling amazing and create a little bubbly lather. As this is a fizz bar and not a bubble bar it doesn't create bubbles, I know some people have been disappointed by this as they thought it was more of a bubble bar but personally I really like how it fizzes away and creates a calming, sweet smelling bath.

Overall when using the Fizz Bar and Soak Opera together you do get a nice bubbly, relaxing bath that smells incredible and I do really like the fact Zoella has aimed her beauty collection at pampering instead of going down the typical makeup route. I think the Fizz Bar is such great value, 8 baths for £5.00 is just amazing and even though you do need to use alot of the Soak Opera to achieve a bubbly bath I do like the formula so all in all I'm pretty chuffed with these!

Have you tried anything from Zoella Beauty?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!!

You may notice that there's lots of Spring appropriate things on my wishlist this time around, I just love all the delicate pink shades that you see around this time of year, I cant resist them! I think the Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation teamed with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette and the Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter would be the ultimate trio to achieve that dewy, healthy spring like skin, oh my goodness I can literally imagine it now! I also think the MAC Cinderella eyeshadow palette would work amazingly during the Spring, the shades are so subtle and pretty aren't they. And can we all take a moment to appreciate how amazing the Disney Sleeping Beauty Sweatshirt from ASOS is, I want it so bad!!!!

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer Review

Hey beaut's!

You may remember that back in January I posted a Small Beauty Haul and within that haul was Maybelline's Eraser Eye Concealer in Nude, I'd heard so many good things about this concealer via YouTube and the Blogging community but getting my hands on one of these little concealers was almost impossible, it's always sold out in Superdrug, Boots and online so when I finally saw the shade Nude in my local Superdrug I quickly nabbed it to try, whether the shade suited me or not ha ha!
The Maybelline Eraser Eye Perfect and Cover Concealer (what a mouthful) comes in a small plastic tube, with a sponge applicator at the top, the concealer is released by turning the tube to the left, you will then hear a click and then you know some of the concealer has be released into the sponge. The idea behind the sponge applicator is that it acts like a beauty blender or makeup brush and is there to blend the concealer seamlessly. I must admit I don't use the sponge for any blending I solely use it for product placement which it does well, it's very soft and distributes the concealer under my eyes evenly, however I will probably remove my sponge soon as it will become very unhygienic, yukky!
The formula of the Maybelline Eraser Eye Perfect and Cover Concealer is lovely, it's enriched with Goji Berry which helps care for the eye area by hydrating, while covering flawlessly and also contains Haloxyl which reduces the look of puffiness and shadows while fading the appearance of under-eye dark circles, it's amazing!
The consistency of the Eraser concealer feels very light and thin on the skin but hydrating and creamy at the same time, it blends out and dream and sets really well to a somewhat dewy finish, without settling into any fine lines which is a major bonus. As for coverage... I'd say it's a medium plus, it does a great job a covering up the darkness underneath and around my eye area and had I managed to get the shade Light instead of Nude I think it would have worked amazingly at brightening up my eyes as well.
Overall I'm realty impressed with Maybelline's Eraser Eye Concealer and its taken the place of my beloved Collection Concealer which really is saying something. I just love how easy the formula is to work with and how luxurious it feels when I'm working with it, it covers so well and does an amazing job at saying 'bye bye' to my dark circles and fine lines. It may be a little pricey at £7,99 and pop but its totally worth it and I'm so happy I finally got my hand on it, now I just need to buy it in the shade Light.

Have you tried Maybelline's Eraser Eye Perfect and Cover Concealer beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!!

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

The beauty blogging world went crazy a few weeks ago when the March edition of Elle Magazine hit the shelves, but what made this edition so special?? Well Benefit gave us the Elle readers a chance to road test their brand new mascara 'Roller Lash' before it had even hit the shelves so you can imagine the buzz surrounding this issue of Elle. Of course as soon as the March edition was released I had to buy it asap because I NEEDED to try the Roller Lash mascara and after using the mascara for a couple of weeks I thought it was about time I shared my thoughts on it!
The Benefit Roller Lash Mascara is 100% inspired by curling hair with hair rollers, ooohhh! Yup, you can ditch the eyelash curlers girls as this mascara is all about achieving that all-important eye opening curl, so if your anything like me and you have small eyes and use mascara to really lift your lashes and open your eyes up more making them look bigger then this mascara will be for you, my goodness it's a good'un!
So the magic starts with the plastic Hook ‘n’ Roll brush which grabs, separates, lifts and curls those lashes, I'm never usually a fan of the plastic brushes, I cant tell you the amount of times I stabbed my eyes with Benefits They're Real Mascara brush as that was a very hard and sharp brush however... The Roller Lash brush is smaller and a much softer plastic and really allows you to wriggle at the root of your lashes without any eye poking incidents, it's shape also helps you to get right into the corners of your lashes at the inner and outer corner and is much better for those with smaller eyes like myself. Roller Lash also has an amazing Inky Black, instant curve-setting formula that holds those curls in place for 12 hours, the formula also contains Pro vitamin B5 and Serin, which are ingredients known for their lash-conditioning benefits and has a satin finish.

Ive really been enjoying this mascara and it really does deserve the hype and love it's been getting over the past few weeks, the mascara really does open up my eyes by lengthening, separating and curling my lashes upwards, it's doesn't smudge, flake or transfer and the brush really is easy to work with. In my opinion Roller Lash is an absolute hit and I will be purchasing the full size version because it ticks all the boxes for me and more.

Did you try Roller Lash freebie in Elle Magazine beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know.

Keep Your Makeup Brushes Squeaky Clean With Makeup Revolution!

Hey beaut's!

If your a makeup brush lover like myself I'm sure you'll know how important it is to clean your makeup brushes, its so easy for nasty bacteria to take over your brush bristles which can then end up with you getting nasty spots, contaminated makeup and damaged brush bristles. But as always Makeup Revolution have came to the rescue with their affordable Brush Shampoo and Brush Cleaner!

Makeup Revolution Pro Hygiene Antibacterial Brush Cleaner* £5.00

I love using spot cleaners on my makeup brushes, it's the simplest, quickest way to keep your makeup brushes clean and disinfected without having to wait ages for them to dry. Makeup Revolutions offering is specially formulated to keep your makeup brushes sterilised, disinfected and helps to prolong the life of your brushes bristles which is always a bonus. The way I like to use my Makeup Revolution Brush Cleaner is by spraying the cleaner directly onto my makeup brush about 4 times, twice on one said of the brush and then twice on the other side, I do this just to make sure all the bristles are coated with the cleaner, I then gently swirl my brush onto some kitchen towel in circular motions and watch as all the makeup disappears from the brush onto the kitchen towel. I would always
recommend using kitchen towel or an old cloth for this job instead of toilet roll/tissues as they are too thin and just tear and you will end up with fluffy bits of toilet roll stuck to your brush bristles which would be so annoying. And voila... you will then be left with a squeaky clean brush, all you have to do now is leave your brush laying flat to air dry which doesn't take long when using this method.

Makeup Revolution Pro Hygiene Antibacterial Brush Shampoo* £5.00
Even if you do spot clean your brushes often its still essential that you give you makeup brushes a deep clean with an Antibacterial Brush Shampoo every so often, I choose to deep clean my brushes either once or twice a month which always works well for me. I've recently been using Makeup Revolutions Brush Shampoo and really loved how soft and conditioned it left the brush bristles, I was pleasantly surprised. Makeup Revolutions Brush Shampoo really works deep into the brush bristles removing all traces of dirt, makeup and oil without damaging the bristles in any way. The way I like to use the brush shampoo is by dampening my makeup brush with luke warm water, I then pop a small amount of the brush shampoo into the palm of my hand, the amount you will need will depend on the size of brush your washing and how dirty it is. Then in the palm of my hand I lather up the shampoo on my brush, I use circular motions against my palm just to make sure I'm really deep cleaning, you will see all the shampoo bubbles turned from white to beige as all your makeup rinses out. I then rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear making sure the brush is facing downwards as I rinse, I do this so non of the water runs up into the brushes ferrel, once clean carefully strain as much water out as possible and reshape your brush bristles. Then I make sure I lay my clean brushes flat on a towel and leave them to dry over night, then the next day you will I have lovely, fluffy clean brushes.

All in all If your looking for affordable brush cleaners that do the job well then I'd highly recommend Makeup Revolutions offering, they both work brilliantly whether your looking for a quick clean or an intense clean and are so gentle on the bristles and at £5.00 a bottle their an absolute steal!

Have you tried either of the Makeup Revolution Brush cleaners?? What did you think?? I'd love to know.
