July Beauty Favourites ♥

Hey beaut's!

Its that time again.... Monthly favourites time!!! I know we all say this every month but honestly I cant believe how quick the months are going, its crazy...  It will be Christmas again before we know it haha, woop woop! Anywhoooo today I thought I would share with you all the makeup and beauty products that I've been loving throughout July, so here goes....

Makeup Revolution
I have simply been obsessed with Makeup Revolution this month, last month and probably the month before that ha ha, I honestly couldn't choose one favourite makeup item for this post because I've been using so many of their products on a daily basis in my everyday routine. I have particularly been blown away by their lipsticks, Rebel with a Cause being my absolute favourite, the Flawless Eyeshadow Palette has also been used more or less everyday since it arrived on my door mat, the Cover and Conceal Palette has me in concealer heaven and the Blush and Contour Palette in Sugar Rush needs to be on every ones wish list because its stunning! The quality and value for money is seriously good and as you can tell I'm going Makeup Revolution mad over here ha ha.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 100 Ivory
I think Rimmels Wake Me Up foundation is always going be one of my ultimate favourite foundations and one I will always keep going back too because it's just so blooming good! I hadn't actually used Wake Me Up in a while because I've been testing other foundations and CC creams but as I was looking through my makeup collection it was just looking at me asking to be used again hehe, I've actually been using it everyday since and have been reminded of just how beautiful it looks on the skin, it's just so natural looking, dewy, lightweight, radiant, great on dry skin types like myself and is perfect to use all year round, it's just amazing!

My Current Nail Loves...
Ive been going through a real girlie stage with my nails this past month and have been loving all things pink whether they are pastel, bright or sparkly I have just been obsessed! I actually received the two Nail Girls polishes in beauty boxes, the base/top coat came in a Glossy box and the dusky baby pink shade called Nude Pink came in a Love Me Beauty box and if I'm being honest I had never heard of the Nail Girls brand before but I have now found out why they are priced at £13.50 a bottle... because the formula is brilliant, Nude Pink is so creamy and slightly on the thicker side compared to your average nail polish and seems to dry opaque and shiny after just one coat which is really impressive, it's also an extremely hard wearing nail polish brand too and takes ages to chip. And to add abit of glitz and sparkle, I've been using Makeup Revolutions Streetcar Desire as a top coat just on my accent nail, I'm so in love with this nail combination at the moment.

Prada Candy Florale Perfume
I only received this Prada Candy Floral Perfume in May and I have nearly used up the entire 50ml bottle already, it's just the most beautiful Summer scent and I find it so nice to wear from day to day. Candy Florale is actually inspired by an imaginary flower that smells like candy or a bouquet of flowers standing on the counter of an ice cream shop in Italy, so basically think of a light peony floral scent with a touch of sweetness and that your scent right there...Arrhh sweetness and floral, whats not to love! I have done a full review of the Prada Candy Florale Perfume HERE if you like to take a peek beaut's but if not take my word for it, this perfume smells insanely good and the bottle ain't half bad either.

Mitchum Advanced Control Roll On in Waterlily
Now I know this is very random, I don't think I've ever seen a roll on in someones favourites before but I just couldn't leave it out. I picked the Mitchum roll on up in Superdrug on a complete whim, it was on offer a few months back so it automatically just got thrown into my basket and after using it I certainly wont be straying from this Mitchum brand anytime soon, it just keeps me nice a fresh all day and I can smell the Waterlily scent (which is incredible by the way) all throughout the day too, it doesn't leave me with horrible white marks on my clothes and you get 100ml's instead of the usual 50mls that roll ons usually have, yes it is slightly more expensive when it isn't on offer but its totally worth, trust me its amazing!

Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo and Conditioner
Ive been growing my hair out for a while now and leaving it longer between cuts so it often feels dry and looks abit dull, but those days are now gone because the Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo and Conditioner seem to work wonders on my hair, the opulent formula leaves my hair feeling moisturised, healthy, shiny and smelling lovely, which is everything I want from shampoo and conditioner hehe. If you havent tried these out yet then I'd highly recommend them beaut's!

What have been your favourite beauty products to use throughout July beaut's??? I'd love to know!!!

Sleek MakeUP CC Cream Review

Hey beaut's!!

Now that the Summer has finally arrived in the UK I thought it would be the perfect time to try out another CC Cream, so today I have Sleeks offering to share with you all.

Sleek's CC Cream* comes in 4 different shades Fair, Light, Medium and Dark and claims to boost radiance and mattify shine and the long-lasting complexion corrector cream also claims to treats and conceal imperfections, sounds pretty great right!?
The shade I have is in Light, which I have to say is pretty dark for something that claims to be light and I think I could definitely of got away with the fair shade, that being said Light is OK for me in the summer months when I have abit of a tan going on so it's not too bad but just bare that in mind if you decide to try it out. The formula of Sleeks CC Cream is very nice and great to work with, it's extremely moisturising and nourishes the skin and combats dull and uneven skin tones leaving you with a beautifully fresh, even complexion. The CC cream also contains vitamin C which helps to protect your skin against damage caused by free radicals, it also reduces fine lines, wrinkles and improves skin elasticity and if that wasn't enough it also has an SPF 29 making it perfect to take away with you on holiday or throughout the Summer months. The coverage of the CC cream is medium but buildable however you'd still need to use some concealer on any dark blemishes or spots. The finish of the CC Cream I really do favour, it's somewhat matte but still has a dewy-ness about it too,  it's unique colour adaptive technology really helps the CC creams blending ability making it feel like a second skin and really does combat redness, the technology also makes the skin appear brighter and enhances the skins natural radiance, whilst keeping any shine at bay!
Overall as far as CC creams go this really is a good'un and since we've been in the middle of a heatwave in the UK recently its really been under the ultimate test and passed with flying colours... It's been amazing at keeping any shine to a minimum and I really love that the finish isn't full on matte and flat looking, it doesn't cling to any of my dry patches and blends in relatively quick, it doesn't ever look cakey or oily on my skin and the added SPF has been a complete bonus recently... Yes the shade is slightly too dark for me when I've not got a tan but the colour adaptive technology really does well at blending in with my skin tone and when using a small amount I can just about get away with it when I'm not so tanned. As for the packaging... It holds 25ml's of CC cream and really isn't that exciting and the plain white part of the packaging does get grubby quickly but in the end it does the job!

You can find the Sleek CC Cream on the Sleek MakeUP website for £8.99 or in selected Superdrug stores.

Have you tried the Sleek CC Cream beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know.

Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Amazing Makeup Fixing Spray Review

Hey beaut's!

On one very hot day a lovely little package dropped on my door mat, that package in question had Makeup Revolutions Pro Fix Makeup Setting Spray within it, and it honestly couldn't of got delivered at a better time! We are in the middle of some sort of tropical feeling heatwave in the UK and at the moment it's extremely hard to get my makeup to stay in place and not look like a big smudgy mess so the Pro Fix Spray was used immediately and today I thought I'd share with you all what I thought about it.

The Pro Fix Amazing Makeup Fixing Spray* (£5.00) is another new release from Makeup Revolutions ever growing makeup line and comes packaged in a white plastic bottle that holds 100ml's worth of product. The Pro Fix Spray's aim is to help keep our foundation and eye makeup in place with no smudging or fading for that just applied look lasting up to 8 hours, the spray also protects our makeup against heat & humidity, cold, and windy conditions, sounds pretty amazing right!?
The best way to use the Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Amazing Makeup Fixing Spray is after you've applied your makeup as usual you then give the setting spray bottle a good shake then hold the spray at arms length and spray the micro fine mist until your makeup is fully covered with your eyes closed, making sure you avoid any direct contact with your eyes. The spray feels very cooling and refreshing when it's first spritzed which is great when it hot as it gives you a mini coll down and takes about 30-40 seconds for the spray to be fully absorbed, I must admit it does feel very strange spraying your face with something wet straight after you've applied a face full of fresh makeup but the results are fab! My makeup stayed in place really well most of the day and one defining factor for me is, since the weather has heated up in the UK my mascara has started transferring on my brow bone leaving me with horrid dark smudges but when I've used the Pro Fix Spray there hasn't been any transferring or a singe smudge in sight, it's blooming great! The spray hasn't dried my skin out or broke me out in spots which is another plus  and something I always fear with fixing/setting sprays however... I really do dislike the scent, it has a very strong alcohol scent which does fade after the spray has been absorbed but it's potent and wont go un-noticed.

Overall I am super impressed with this little beauty and scent aside it does exactly what it says on the tin so to speak! I would highly recommend Makeup Revolutions setting spray during the hotter months and it would work great on nights out too.

Have you tried the Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Amazing Makeup Fixing Spray beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!

NV Colour Lipstick Review in Sorbet ♥

Hey beaut's!

I was recently introduced to a website called NV Colour Cosmetics, the website contains lots of pretty makeup ranging from Lipsticks, Lip Crayons, Eye Crayons, Liners, Eye Shadows, Glitter Pots and much more and what really impresses me is the shade range, theres literally so many beautiful yet bright eye catching shades that are perfect for any Summer parties or festivals/music events that you might have coming up, as well as your normal everyday natural shades too. I did review 2 of their amazing Chunky Lip Crayons the other day which you can read up on HERE if you like beaut's but today I have stunning NV Colour Lipstick to share with you all in the shade Sorbet*.

The NV Lipsticks are available in 6 eye catching shades and are one of the brands most popular selling products because of their outstanding quality... The shade I've been road testing is Sorbet, a bright popping pink shade that comes packaged in a black, square shaped lipstick bullet which holds 3.8grams worth of product, one of the amazing things about Sorbet's packaging is that it has a magnetic mechanism which always allows the lid to securely close with ease, its a great idea and means no mess or damages when you throw the lippie into your handbag on the go. The formula of the lipstick is simply stunning and feels very similar to the chunky lip crayons formula, it's very creamy and glides on the lips with ease, it's moisturising, packed full of pigmentation, feels extremely lightweight on the lips and is non sticky, woohoo!
The finish of Sorbet isn't matte but it isn't super glossy either, it just leaves a subtle sheen to the lips which I really like, once the sheen has worn off your left with a beautiful non drying stain to the lips that lasts well on my lips without drying or chapping!

Overall I absolutely love this lippie, it's such a stunning shade for the Summer and gives you that splash of colour with ease, I've literally been addicted to wearing it this shade ever since I got it, I love it!

You can find the NV Colour Lipstick in Sorbet for £6.00 along with lots of other funky makeup on the NV Colour website.

Have you tried anything from NV Colour Cosmetics beaut's?? I'd love to know.

Gorgeous, Affordable Bronzer for the Summer!

Hey beaut's!

Today I'm back with another Makeup Revolution related post... Yes I know I definitely have the Makeup Revolution bug that's going around the blogosphere, but I just cant help sharing how beautiful and affordable their makeup is! Today it's all about their Bronze, Shimmer, Highlight Powder*, and my goodness it's a good'un girls!
The Bronze, Shimmer, Highlight Powder is one of Makeup Revolutions many new releases and I have to say that they are certainly being very generous with this, as you get 15grams of gorgeousness, now that's one heck of alot of bronzing!
I love the design of this bronzer as you get 3 segments to play with, you get a slice of light, medium and dark bronzer making it rather universal as you can use each slice separately if you wish depending on your skin tone but I prefer to take a massive powder brush and swirl it around the bronzer picking up each shade and then bronze, bronze, bronze! The bronzer is very much on the matte side which I love however there is the odd minute shimmer here and there which is barely noticeable so there no disco ball moments thank goodness hehe. The way the bronzer looks on the skin is absolutely stunning... It isn't orange or muddy looking, its just very natural and glowy and blends beautifully whether your using it to contour or just to add some warmth to your face.
Overall I'm super impressed with this gorgeous bronzer, it is slightly too warm for me to highlight with but if you have a darker skin tone you could definitely get away with using this to highlight with too but for me it's the ultimate bronzer and a Summer makeup bag staple!

You can find the Ultra Bronze, Shimmer, Highlight Powder on the Makeup Revolution website for just £4.00, what a beauty bargain!

10 Beauty Tips and Tricks!

Hey beaut's!

Today I thought I'd do a different type of post sharing 10 of my beauty tips and tricks that's I've picked up over time, so lets get going....

Waking up with puffy eyes can be so annoying because it can take ages for them to go down, however if you keep a couple of tea spoons in the fridge at all times your problem is solved... Simply pop the back of the spoons on your puffy eyes for a few minutes and your eyes will be back to normal in no time, also the cold compress really helps wake the eyes up making them appear brighter!

Hate sitting around waiting for your nail polish to dry? Simply pop some ice cold water into a bowl, the colder the better, and then gentle dip your wet nails into the bowl and leave them submerged for about 2 minutes, they'll come out dry, smooth and glossy!

Fake tan stains around your hands and nails can look horrendous but theres a very easy way to sort that problem,  just cut a lemon in half, squeeze the juice on the overly tanned area and rub the lemon wedge on it, the citric acid in the lemon will help break down the tan and lift the stains.

Hairspray has lots of uses, as well as keeping your hairstyles in place it can also take static out of clothes by spraying from an arms length all over the clothes in question, I have a few chiffon dresses that go static after every wash but after a small spritz of hairspray the static is gone! Another great use for hairspray is taming unruly brows, just lightly spray some hairspray on a spooly and after you've filled in your brows comb through them with the spooly and it will keep those brows in place all day, it will also help to seal in the brow powder/pencil/wax too.

Going away for the weekend or packing your suitcase for a holiday but your worried your powder makeup products will smash or break up during transit... Just pop a couple of cotton wool balls inside your compacts, this will pack them out so they are less likely to smash!

Don't throw away your old candle jars once they've burnt out, they make great makeup brush holders and can also be used for so many other storage purposes such as storing bobby pins, hairbands, cotton wool balls, jewellery the list can literally go on and on! If you are struggling with getting that last bit of wax out of the bottom of the candle jar then just pop the jar in the freezer over night, the freezing temperature shrinks the wax slightly and it pops straight out!

Run out of body scrub... Fear not, you can make your own really quickly and easily, just mix some granulated sugar or caster sugar (depending on how abrasive you want your scrub to be) with some extra virgin olive oil and you have a lovely homemade scrub with moisturising quality's, you can also add a few drops of lemon juice to make it smell lovely a fresh.

Did you know vodka can actually help shrink and tighten your pores, just pop a small amount on a cotton wool ball or a q-tip and wipe/dab over the poress areas.

Olive oil has so many different uses in the beauty world but one of my favourite ways to use it is to deep clean my makeup brushes, firstly I dip my makeup brush into the oil and rub it into the palms of my hands, you will see the makeup instantly melt away as the oil really breaks down the makeup stains and also helps condition the bristles too, I then just shampoo my brushes with a baby shampoo afterwards. This is something I only do about once a month but it works wonders.

If  I don't have any shaving cream left then I just use regular hair conditioner to help shave my legs, it's softening just like shaving cream and prevents cutting your legs to shreds, and will leave your legs feeling smooth and silky afterwards!

And there you have it beaut's, 10 of my beauty tips and tricks I've picked up over the years, I'd love to know some of your tips and tricks beaut's!

Makeup Revolution 'I Heart Passion' Eyeshadow Palette Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Makeup Revolution seem to be on fire at the moment with new release after new release, all of which seem to be a huge success in the beauty world and if that wasn't enough they have now created and released a new makeup brand called I ♥ Makeup! The I ♥ Makeup line consists of some absolutely stunning makeup including eyeshadow palettes, bronzers, lipsticks, glosses, blushers and not forgetting some seriously stunning heart shaped baked face products so theres plenty to ooohhh and arhhhh at that's for sure he he!

Anywhooo today I have the gorgeous 'I Heart Passion*' eyeshadow palette to share with you all and it really is a beautiful palette. Firstly the usual black, sleek style packaging has been jazzed up with a youthful looking jewel style, pink love heart on the front which I think is super cute, the palette also comes with a large mirror inside which is always greatly appreciated. Upon opening the palette your met with 16 beautiful jewel toned eye shadow's ranging from romantic, pretty shades to more deeper smokey shades that can take you from day to night with a mixture of matte, metallic and shimmer finishes. I also love the fact that each shade in the 'I Heart Passion' palette has a love themed name which is really helpful when your doing someones makeup or a tutorial.

As always I really have no complaints on the eye shadow's quality, Makeup Revolution seem to make such amazing eye shadows don't they he he. Each eyeshadow within the 'I Heart Passion'  palette is packed full of pigmentation, especially the metallic and shimmer finish shadows and are all super soft to swatch, easy to work with and blend out, they last great on my oily eyelids without any creasing or fading most of the day and what's best is the palette is super affordable at just £7.99, that's around 49p per eyeshadow, wowza!

As you can see the shades in this palette are blooming gorgeous, one of my favourite shades has to be 'Limber Up' because of it's Rose Gold hue which looks stunning on the eyelid with 'Rumba Down' softy blended through the crease, arrrhh I just love that duo! The rest of the shades within the palette can make such eye catching smoky eyes and numerous night out looks, I also love the 2 larger pans of shadow at the top left and bottom right of the palette, one of which is matte and the other is a shimmer and they are both ideal for highlighting around the eye area or brow bone, you could even use them to highlight your entire face if you wanted too.

All in all it's another huge thumbs up on the Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette front! Have you tried any of the Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette's beaut's?? Which is your favourite?? I'd love to know!

Beauty UK 'High Brow' Eyebrow Kit | Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

I seem to be obsessed with brow products at the moment, I feel like I'm forever looking for an affordable alternative to my expensive HD Brows Kit addiction and since Beauty UK's High Brow Eyebrow Kit* has been very popular amongst bloggers recently I thought I may as well give it a whirl.
Beauty UK's High Brow Eyebrow Kit contains a colourless eyebrow wax, 3 shades of eyebrow powder to suit most complexions, a double-ended applicator and the cutest mini tweezers I've ever seen and claims to give you on-trend, hi-definition brows, ooohhh. The packaging of the kit is OK, it does the job but is nothing to rave about, however it does have a handy 3 step tutorial on the back which is great for beginners, also the packaging isn't too big or too small making it perfect for travelling or carrying around on the go. Unfortunately the kit doesn't have various shades to choose from like Light, Medium or Dark instead it's a 'suit's all' kit which to be honest I do think is fairly universal.
I must admit I rarely use a brow wax through my eyebrows, I always just stick to using simple old powders or pencils so I was unsure what to expect, the wax itself really has no colour payoff, its just there to simply help prime, tame and shape any unruly brow hairs. The brow powder shade selection is actually really nice, the 3 shades go from a light, ashy brown shade with a chestnut undertone perfect for light blonde/auburn brows, a medium toned brown shade perfect for darker blonde's and light brunettes and lastly a cooled toned, dark brown that can even look black in certain lighting, I think that would be best used on dark brunettes or medium brunettes if used with a light hand. All of the shades within this little kit have a good amount of pigment but I wouldn't go as far as saying they are amazing, they are nice and soft to swatch and do blend through the brows a treat.
The way I like to use the kit personally is by using my Nanshy Angled Detailer Brush to pick up some of the wax and really shape my brows into place, the wax helps tame those pesky brow hair's that like to stick out and acts like a nice brow primer giving the brow powder something to stick too and really does help with lasting power too, I then take small amounts of the brow powder ( I mix the light and medium brown shade's together ) on the same brush and using a light hand I fill my brows in as usual, I find by using the wax and the powder together it creates perfect, defined, natural shaped brows that stay in place all day, I love it!

I also love that Beauty UK added the two little extras in the shape of a double-ended brush and tweezers as it really does complete the kit, I must admit I haven't used the little brush applicator in the kit as of yet as I like to use a brow brush with a longer handle for better precision but it does feel OK in quality. I LOVE the little tweezers, they are so handy and great at getting those hard to reach brow hairs, genius!

Overall I do really like this kit and I can now see why it's been hyped up so much recently as the quality really is very good, it's also an absolute bargain at just £3.99 which I think is amazing when you consider how much your getting for your money.

Have you tried the Beauty UK High Brow Eyebrow Kit yet beaut's?? I'd love to know what you thought.
