Blistex Happy Lips Mango Lip Balm Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

I'm always on the hunt for a new lip balm that really moisturises my lips well, so when I saw Blistex had launched a couple of new lips balms in their Happy Lips range I just knew I had to try one.

Their are two lip balms to collect in the Blistex Happy Lips range, Strawberry and Mango, I opted for the Mango just because I've never had a Mango flavoured lip balm before so I thought I'd try something new instead of the more typical Strawberry flavour. I'm so glad I went for the Mango flavour because it smells and tastes amazing, exactly like tropical, exotic, ripe Mango and doesn't seem artificial in the slightest, you can literally smell it the entire time it on your lips, its amazing and sooo tasty he he.
The formula of the balm itself is intensively moisturising and contains Vitamin E to really keep your pout looking smooth and feeling soft and hydrated. I never find this balm greasy in any way just super nourishing and great at either prepping the lips before lipstick or generally when you have sore, dry/chapped lips, it just smooths everything out. I must add that the Blistex Happy Lips Lip Balms also contain SPF15, this is good to know when your going to be out in the sun or on holiday. The packaging is bright, fun and travel friendly, it actually really reminds me of the Maybelline Baby Lips packaging wise however the formula is heaps better.
Overall I absolutely love this Blistex Happy Lips Mango Lips Balm, so if you’re looking for a cute fruity hydrating lip balm that you can pop in your handbag for on the go ready for the Autumn/Winters months them I'd highly recommend this little beauty!

The Blistex Happy Lips Mango Lips Balm is £2.49 and is available in Boots and Superdrug.

August 2015 Beauty Favourites! ♥

Hey beaut's!

I haven't done a beauty or non beauty monthly favourites in soooooo long, I used to do them every month without fail and for some reason I just forgot all about them, but fear not the favourites posts are now making a comeback he he. I cant believe how quick this year is going, Autumn/Winter are now approaching and I cant blooming wait he he! Anywhoo onto what I've been loving this month beauty wise!

My first favourite this month is my Urban Decay Naked Palette. I've had my palette for years, it was one of the very first high end makeup items I ever owned and I'm still in absolute love with it years later.

Next is my trusty Real Techniques Sculpting Brush! I actually now own two of these brushes because I love them so much, I use one for applying my foundation everyday and the other I use to contour with and it works amazingly well both ways. I do have a review HERE if you'd like to read my thoughts in full but overall it's an amazing brush with so many uses.

The Bourjois 1 Seconde Mascara is literally my holy grail mascara, I tried it back in April and have been hooked ever since. The volume, length and lift it gives is incredible all with just about two strokes of the brush, so theres no faffing around with building up coats of the mascara for volume or length it's just instantly there which I love, and theres not a single clump in sight.

The Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat is quite new to me but I flipping love it! The tiny light particles and mineral extracts within the formula really help to create light, luminosity and radiance to all of the places on the face that need it. I found that on me it literally banishes the dark shadows underneath my eyes and works perfectly underneath my concealer, adds a gorgeous but subtle highlight to my cheekbones, brow bone and down the nose, and it can really trick the eye when used around the contours of the lips because it can make them appear fuller and more pouty which I really like when I'm wearing lipstick.

The little Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara is next on my list of favourites this month, the cute wand honestly gets to every single tiny bottom lash and makes my lower lash line appear a lot fuller, it has honestly found lower lashes that I didn't know existed ha ha. As well as being fantastic for those lower lashes it's also great at getting those hard to reach inner corner lashes on my top lash line, not to mention it's staying power is incredible, it literally doesn't transfer, move or flake all day, I've fallen in love with this little cutie.

Next is my favourite drugstore lipstick ever the L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in Fuchsia Declaration - a deep Satin Fuchsia Pink, I've been wearing this most days over the last few months and I am just obsessed with the formulation. Fuchsia Declaration is super pigmented and contains plant-based oils to care for the lips leaving them feeling moisturised the entire time. It also has a run-off prevention agent that holds the lipstick in place for smudge-proof wear, arhhh it's the best lipstick ever!

I've started to have more baths than showers recently and have been using up all of my left over Lush goodies and I just had to feature my Comforter Bubble Bar. The Comforter is one of my all time favourites from lush, you get sooooo many uses out of it because you only need the smallest piece crumbled into your bath to get pretty pink water and lots of bubbles and it smells divine.

I'm a massive VO5 fan and recently tried their Nourish My Shine Bedazzling Oil Heat Protector and it's amazing, it not only protects your hair from heat but leaves my hair feeling soft, silky, nourished and totally gorgeous. Love that stuff!

My last beauty favourite this month ( I know theres been so many he he) is the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm, I'm actually on my second tub of this stuff and it's absolutely amazing! You use the balm with a muslin cloth and it literally melts all your makeup away and give your skin a thorougher cleanse whilst also moisterising. I do have a review coming up soon so keep your eyes peeled!

What have you been loving this month beaut's?? I'd love to know.

Zoella Scrubbing Me Softly Smoothing Body Scrub Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

I'm pretty sure if your into watching beauty, fashion and lifestyle related video's on YouTube that you've all heard of Zoella (Zoe Sugg) before, I started reading her blog and watching her video's years ago and since then she's had so much success and released her own pampering range named 'Zoella Beauty' you go girl ha ha. I did buy a couple of things from the Zoella Beauty line last year and really enjoyed using them and recently Zoe has launched a brand new 'Tutti Fruity' line with Summer in mind, obviously I had to treat myself to a couple of things from the line so I decided to pick up the Kissy Missy Lip Balm (review here), Bath Lily and the Scrubbing Me Softly Soothing Body Scrub which is what I'll be reviewing today!

The Scrubbing Me Softly Soothing Body Scrub (£7.00) comes in a large 280g tub that's covered in pretty yellow polka dots and of course has the Zoella logo adorned on it. The scrub itself is a sugar scrub so it's a lot more gentle on the skin than your average salt scrub, this is great if you have quite sensitive skin like myself and like to use something less abrasive however, if you like a very gritty scrub that can scrub away fake tan and tough dry skin this may not be the scrub for you.
In terms of the formula... It's extremely thick, when I opening the scrub for my very first use it was really hard and it almost had a waxy feeling which took a good amount of pressure to scoop some out, that being said now that I've used half of the tub up it's become a lot more aoft and creamy and easy to scoop out. The scrub has conditioning cocoa butter within it, and after using the scrub I can really feel the benefits, my skin feels super soft, conditioned and not dry at all, I especially noticed a difference on my elbows and knees which are places on my body that get quite dry. The scent is lovely, it's very fruity and the Acai and Blueberry really do come through, I always find that after my shower the scent really lingers on my skin in a subtle way which I love.
Overall I do really like Zoella's Scrubbing Me Softly Soothing Body Scrub, it's not as good as my Soap and Glory scrubs but it's not a bad scrub either. The only downside for me is just how hard and waxy it was as the beginning because it made it a little tricky to use at first but other than that this is a great gentle scrub perfect for those with sensitive skin and the smell really is devine.

Have you tried Zoella's Scrubbing Me Softly Smoothing Body Scrub?? What did you think beaut's?? I'd love to know!

Mini Essence Makeup Haul ♥

Hey beaut's!

Essence is a brand that I seem to be seeing a lot in the beauty world at the moment, I've tried a couple of their makeup products over the past year which Ive received in beauty boxes and absolutely loved them so when I saw my local Wilkinson's had an Essence makeup stand I just knew I had to grab a couple of things to try.
The first thing that caught my eye was their Long lasting Lipstick in the shade On The Catwalk - a pretty neutral burgundy red colour, with strong pink undertones to it. I've tried this a few time since buying it an absolutely love it, the formula is gorgeous and glides effortlessly on lips and feels so hydrating without that tacky or waxy feeling and as the name would suggest it's super long lasting. I think this particular shade of burgundy red will be prefect to wear during the day in the Autumn/Winter months because the colour pay off is still there but it isn't too out there.
Next I opted for a Lip Liner in the shade Satin Mauve - a dusty rose colour. This is gorgeous and creates such a kardashian-esk pout when used with a nude lipstick in the centre, arhhh I love it! The texture is so soft, almost buttery which makes it so easy to apply, it literally glides smoothly over the very delicate skin of my lips and doesn't drag at all, I'm going to go back and buy every shade of lip liner that's they have because they are only £1.00 each and I'd go as far as saying they are the best liners I've ever come across.
I then noticed some liquid liners and I'm obsessed with a winged liner look so I thought I'd give one a go so I went for their standard Eyeliner Pen (Extra Long lasting) in Black. I've worn this a couple of times so far and going on my first impressions I don't really like the formula, don't get me wrong the felt tip nib is easy enough to use but the pigmentation after 2 uses is pretty poor and it isn't bold or intense like I'd want it to be and how it was the first two times I used it, it's literally like it's run out after being used twice. On the two occasions I did wear the eyeliner pen I found that the 'extra long lasting' formula was pretty poor because it fades throughout the day and generally doesn't last very long at all.
Lastly I opted for The Gel Nail Polish in True Love - a gorgeous berry red creme shade with a strong pink undertone. I think this shade is going to be my go to shade throughout the Autumn/Winter months, I blooming love it! The formula itself is nicely pigmented and is opaque with two coats, and it has the most gorgeous glossy finish.

Have you tried any makeup from Essence beaut's?? Whats your favourite product?? I'd love to know!!

Partylite Beach Fun Mini Jar Candle Trio Review

Hey beaut's!

If you've read my blog for a while you'll probably know I'm a huge candle fan, I'm just obsessed and usually have a candle burning everyday in my house because not only does my house then smell amazing everyday but I find candles are just so inviting and homely. As you may have seen the other week I've recently been testing out some candles by Partylite, I  loved their  Forbidden Fruits Mini Jar Trio (review here) so today I thought I'd share my thoughts on their Beach Fun scent.

The Partylite Beach Fun Scented Mini Jar Trio* (£24.95) is as you'd expect  gorgeously summery and refreshing making them perfect to burn at this time of year. The three candle glass jars have a cute beach theme with little fishies, beach balls and suns painted on, and the colours of the candle wax itself just scream summer to me.
The first candle within the trio is Poolside Passion, this one smells really tropical to me and the mango, rum and lime scents really do come though. Next we have Beach Baby, again another tropical scent but this time pineapple and creamy coconut are immediately detected, I have to admit this is my favourite scent out of the three, the coconut just smells divine and the look of the candle itself is just so pretty. Lastly we have Skinny Sipping, this one is really refreshing and has a definite blend of grapefruit and green apple in there. I'd say the scents overall really remind me of cocktails and I'm guessing that's what Partylite had in mind with this Beach Fun Collection because the scents really so have that summer cocktail vibe which is absolutely lush! Each candle has a burn time of 20-30 hours and really throws out a good amount of scent, literally minutes after lighting these candles the scent starts wafting through my entire house and you can really smell it without it being too strong or overpowering. I tend to burn each candle for around 2 hours and I find that's enough for the scent to linger in my house for hours afterwards which is a major bonus and means you get so many uses out of each candle.
Overall I'm so impressed with the Partylite Beach Fun Mini Jar Trio, they really feel and look like such luxurious candles and they're definitely comparable to some of the higher end brands I've tried, not to mention they make my house smell absolutely amazing! You can find the Partylite Beach Fun Mini Jar Trio along with the rest of the Beach Fun Collection HERE.

The first candle within the trio is Pomegranate Passion, this has an obvious pomegranate scent but I also get hits of raspberry, apple and vanilla whilst burning this one, it's super yummy. Next we have Blackberry Boudoir, this has rich, deep wild-berry notes and it's quite woody and musky too. Lastly we have Fig Fatale, I love any candle with a fig scent as they just smell incredible and this ceratinly doesnt dissapoint, it also has that velvety vanilla kick to it which is really nice. Each candle has a burn time of 20-30 hours and really throws out a good amount of scent, literally miutes after lighting these candles the scent starts wafting through my entire house and you can really smell it without it being too strong or overpowering. August Glossybox Review ♥

Hi beaut's!

So its that time again... Glossybox time!!! This month Glossybox have gone global on us and have filled our boxes with beauty discoveries from around the world. My box this month actually contains five full size products which I'm super happy about, as much as I loved last months french themed box it was a little lacklustre for me with the majority of the box being little samples, so the fact this months box contains all full sized products pleases me a lot. Anywhoo lets see what I received inside my August Glossybox...
MeMeMe Lipglide in Playful Peach | Full Size | £6.95
Firstly this month we have the MeMeMe Lipglide in Playful Peach, which is a creamy matte pencil that I think would double up well as a blush too. I would say it's more on the coral side rather than peach but I still think it would suit most and is perfect to wear during this final part of the Summer.

Manna Kadar Lash Primer | Full Size | £14.55
I cant tell you how much I love eye lash primers so I was super happy to see Manna Kadar's offering in my box! Manna Kadar's lash primer is designed to be used under your mascara to nourish and condition the lashes and to create lots more volume than your normal mascara would achieve when used on its own. If you haven't tried an eye lash primer before girls knows your chance to see just how much I love them he he.

Emite Artist Colour Powder Blush | Full Size | £20.59
The Emite Powder Blush was actually voted for by us glossies back in May when Glossybox gave us a choice between a blush or brush and as you see the blush won. I must admit for me personally I'll be using this blush as a bronzer because the shade '108' is far too warm and dark for me to use as a blush, although it’ll probably be a more flattering blush shade on darker skin tones. From what I can tell so far the formula seems really lovely and it has such a soft, buttery texture so I'm looking forward to bronzing myself with this little beauty.

Naobay Calming Face Toner | Full Size | £10.65
We had a Naobay facial scrub in one of our Glossy boxes a while back and I used the entire tube up because I loved it so much so I was happy to see something else from the brand to try. This time around we have the Calming Face Toner, this citrus scented liquid toner claims to remove traces of makeup while also cleansing, it also calms and hydrates the skin thanks to the chamomile and gotu kola extracts and is 99.13% natural which is pretty amazing right! I cant wait to give this a go later.

SASS Purifying Cleanser | Full Size | £7.00
Finally we have the SASS Intimate Purifying Cleanser, this little beauty isn't for your face so please don't think it's the kind of cleanser that will remove you makeup because it wont, its actually an intimate cleanser which basically means its a body wash but for your fairy/foof/intimate parts he he. It works as a probiotic to balance the skins PH levels and soothes the skin, it's safe to say it's a good little product for your fairy!

What did you think of this month's box beaut's?? I'd love to know.

L.A.Girl Glazed Lip Paint Review ♥

Hi beaut's!

LA Girl is a brand I've wanted to try for so long, so many of their products are raved about in the beauty world but as they are a US brand it's very hard to get hold of their makeup here in the UK...Until now he he... Beauty Chamber have answered all our prayers by stocking some LA Girl makeup products on their website and I have three of their popular Glazed Lip Paints to share with you all today.
The LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints* (£4.99 each) are described as having an intensely pigmented appearance of a lipstick, with the ease and glossy finish of a lip gloss and provide long lasting, hyper glossy, ultra rich colour to lips, sounds pretty amazing right! The Glazed Collection includes 18 of the most sought after, trendsetting colours this season ranging from pretty nudes to brights to deep berries, so theres certainly a shade to suit everyone in this collection that's for sure.
Each of the Glazed Lip Paints come in plastic, squeaky tubes with an angled applicator that you can use to apply to the lips directly much like lip balms, however because of how intense these colours are I'd definitely suggest using a lip brush to apply the lip paints otherwise you might find yourself in a bit of a hot mess.
The three shades I got are Gleam a bright coral with gold shimmer running through it. Bombshell a solid hot pink and Coy is a solid dark lilac. They are all quite bright, garish colours but are so much fun to work with. As you can see each shade has amazing pigmentation and opacity, you only need to apply the smallest amount of the lip paint to cover your lips entirely which is super good. The formula of these is pretty incredible and totally surprised me in a good way, they aren't thick and gloopy like I imagined but instead they have a thin consistency that's easy to work with and blend across your lips. The formula is also super nourishing and doesn't dry out your lips at all and has the added benefits of vitamin E and peppermint oil which makes the lip paints smell and taste like those candy canes you get a Christmas, arrhhh its amazing! Because of the added peppermint oil you do get a slight tingling feeling when you apply the lip paints but nothing over the top or painful which is a plus.
The finish of the lip paints is glossy, glossy, glossy and isn't at all sticky, your lips feel so moisturised too and the colour really stays put! I think the lip paints would work amazingly well during the winter months when you still want to wear lip colours even though your lips might be super dry, I definitely want to invest in some more wearable shades for the daytime that's for sure. The only downside I have with these is that these brighter shades can bleed ever so slightly, so I always have to line my lips before application with these particular shades but other than that I think the LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints are amazing and I really cant fault them!

Have you tried any of the LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints beaut's?? What shades your favourite?? I'd love to know!
