Bathroom Re-Vamp ♥

Hey beaut's!

Me and my boyfriend have been living in our little home for nearly five years now and even though we decorated each room of the house when we moved in, I feel now is definitely the time to give certain rooms of the house abit of a re-vamp. Sometimes to give rooms of the house a fresher, newer feel you can feel very overwhelmed at the thought of completely redecorating as I know I always do, however I've found that adding a few new accessories can really change your desired room's appearance and actually make it look totally different like you've spent ages redecorating, when actually all you've really done is invest in some key home ware pieces.

The first room of our house we decided to give a little TLC was our bathroom, this really needed doing. I think because it's a room that gets used so much and is always steamy, damp, etc things tend to need replacing quicker, so after a lick of paint and a look at the George at Asda Shore Bathroom Range* our bathroom has been given a new lease of life ha ha.

I decided to go for quite a nautical theme featuring alot of blue and white pieces because personally that's what me and Michael like and I thought I'd share it all with you today. P.S this post is extremely picture heavy he he!

Wowza that was alot of photo's he he, I hope you like all the new editions to my bathroom beaut's, I absolutely love George at Asda for home ware, it's so affordable, great quality and all looks super nice.

What home ware bit's have you bought recently to jazz up your home?? I'd love to know beaut's!!

Technic Juicy Stick Collection Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Being the makeup lover that I am I'm always on the hunt for good dupes that will save me a heap of cash but still perform reasonable well and today I have a great little bargain for you all, the Technic Juicy Sticks*.
The Technic Juicy Sticks are extremely similar to lots of other chubby stick style lip crayons that are out there in the beauty world at the moment but at the fraction of the price as they just £1.99 each, what a beauty bargain he he! The Juicy Sticks are available in six shades ranging from a light peachy nude all the way up to a deep purple so theres certainly a shade to suit any occasion. I've been road testing five out of the six shades over the last few weeks and I have to admit I'm in love with them and was so surprised at how well they performed. The shades I have are Naked, a peachy toned nude that contains some minute shimmers. Calypso, a bright peachy coral shade. Watermelon, a fuchsia toned pink. Oxblood, a classic red lip shade and lastly Plum, a deep purple/plum shade.
The formula of the five Technic Juicy Sticks I've tried is absolutely lovely! They are all very moisturising and feel so creamy when you apply them to the lips leaving you with a juicy looking finish. The pigmentation is super impressive too, they are so bold, bright and opaque which I find is quite different to your average chubby stick because usually they are only slightly tinted but these pack an almighty pigmentation punch! The lasting power of all the shades is pretty good, the bolder shades stay put for a good 4-5 hours however the nude shade 'Naked' seems to wear off in a couple of hours but overall the wear time is really good, also they don't dry my lips out at all and continue to feel moisturising even when they have set slightly which is another major bonus as I cant stand lip products that dry out my lips. Something else I love about these Juicy Sticks is that they taste and smell amazing, just like watermelon/something tropical ha ha.
As for the packaging... I love it! The colour of the packaging corresponds with the shade of the juicy stick so it's very easy to find the desired shade your looking for in your handbag or makeup bag. They also all have the twist up mechanism at the bottom so theres no need for sharpening which is a huge plus for me.
Overall the Technic Juicy Sticks are an absolute hit with me and I'd highly recommend them to anyone who's looking for good, affordable dupes of the more expensive chubby stick style lipsticks. They are all super comfortable to wear, are super pigmented, smell and taste lovely and finish off any makeup look whether it be neutral look or dramatic look.

You can find the Technic Juicy Stick Collection along with lot's of other Technic makeup on the Xtras website.

Have you tried any makeup from the range Technic?? What would you recommend?? I'd love to know beaut's!!

Rimmel Colourfest 60 Seconds Nail Polish by Rita Ora Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

I'm pretty much obsessed with buying nail polishes at the moment, I honestly have no idea what's wrong with me, the minute I see a cute nail polish it's in my basket immediately before I've even had chance to look at the price, I know I'm so terrible aren't I he he. The latest cuties that caught my eye are from Rimmel's Colourfest 60 Seconds Nail Polish Range by Rita Ora, the limited edition collection developed by Rita Ora is inspired by festivals and also contains an all new range of lip glosses too.
The packaging of the Colourfest collection is so cute, each shade comes in little glass, transparent bottles and what makes the bottles so god damn cute is the black cap has little daisy flowers on which I love, it just makes the polishes look even more Spring/Summer doesn't it? As I said before all twelve shades in this collection are inspired by festivals, they honestly just scream Spring and Summer to me with a beautiful range of pastels and brights. I decided to buy three shades out of the twelve to try and honestly I've fallen in love with them and want to buy them all now he he.
The shades I opted for where Glaston-Berry, a bright rosey red nail polish with an orange undertone. Peachella, a gorgeous pastel peach shade, honestly my pictures doesn't do it justice at all, its a lot more peachy in person and such a stunning shade, and lastly my favourite out of the three I bought is Wild-Er-Ness, a pretty pastel lavender/lilac shade.
The formula of the three shades I tried in the Colourfest Collection is really nice, it has a really creamy feel to it so it goes on the nails really nicely and after two coats your left with streak free, fully opaque, high shine nails that look super pretty, and the formula is quick drying in 60 seconds too which is an absolute winner for me (and for a lot of gals out there too I'm sure) because I hate sitting around waiting for my nails to dry. As for lasting power... Rimmel claim that the formula of the Colourfest Collection is chip resistant and can last for up to 10 days, well on me these polishes all lasted a good 4-5 days before I noticed some ever so slight chipping, however I'm very hands on with my job and at home so 4-5 days is brilliant for my nails, depending on your nails condition and if your very hands on like me will definitely change the wear time so you may be able to get much more out of these polishes than I can.

Overall I absolutely love this collection and will definitely be picking some of the other shades up very soon, the colours in the entire range are just stunning and totally worth investing in considering they are only £2.99 a bottle, woohoo bargain!

Have you tried any of the Colourfest 60 Seconds Nail Polishes by Rita Ora yet?? What shades your favourite?? I'd love to know!!

Guerlain Face, Eyes and Lips Palette Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

It's that time of year when we are all either booking up our Summer holidays or making some sort of travel plans and we all start buying bit and bobs to put aways for our holidays and recently I came across something perfect for travelling in the beauty world, say hello to the Guerlain Les Couleurs de La Petite Robe Noire Face, Eyes, Lips Palette*.
The Guerlain Les Couleurs de La Petite Robe Noire Face, Eyes, Lips Palette (£46.00) comes housed in a small, black, fabric, zip up case which is so cute and really secure for travelling with. When opening up the case you are met with a sizable mirror within the lid and a mini Guerlain face brush that's kept secure by a piece of fabric elastic. The base of the palette is where the makeup party starts he he, firstly theres a large pan of translucent, pressed powder that's perfect for setting all your makeup into place or to touch up any shine on the go, I've also been using the translucent powder for highlighting under my eye area, it seems to work really well since it's quite a light powder. Next theres a small, triangular pan of matte blush which is super pretty for Spring/Summer, I absolutely love it's coral undertones and the fact it isn't crammed full of un-necessary glitter or shimmer is a major plus for me.
Then theres 3 eye shadows to play with all of which have a metallic, shimmer finish, theres a frosty baby pink shade, a silver/grey shade and a frosty dark purple shade. I absolutely love all the shades and think the combination work well together and you could easily create a couple of looks out of them. All the eyeshadows have a good amount of pigmentation, are super buttery when you swatch them however.... They are quite glitzy and I did experience some glittery fall out during application, although this doesn't bother me to much because I can just brush it away with my foundation brush, I know it can rather annoying so that something to take into consideration with this little set. Lastly to complete the palette and your look theres a mini Guerlain lip gloss, the shade of this is lovely, it's one of those 'your lips but better' shades that's so easy to wear and goes with all makeup looks, it is slightly glittery but nothing to over the top and isn't sticky in the slightest like alot of glosses usually are.
Overall I think this Guerlain Face, Eyes and Lips Palette is an absolute hit and is so great for travelling, sometimes I find travel friendly palettes to be hit and miss but everything within this palette I really do like and even though I haven't been travelling I've incorporated it into my everyday routine and have been loving it.

Have you tried the Guerlain Les Couleurs de La Petite Robe Noire Face, Eyes, Lips Palette beaut's?? What did you think, would you take it on your holiday with you?? I'd love to know!!

April Glossybox Review | The Iconic Hollywood Edition

Hey beaut's!

So its that time again... Glossybox time!!! This month I was sooooo excited to receive my box, we all knew it was going to be an Iconic Hollywood themed box and that just screams to me elegant and timeless beauty. Glossybox used Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn as their inspiration for the contents of our boxes and their makeup is something Ive always been in awe of, so I couldn't wait to receive some beauty products to help me create their iconic looks. The collectors edition box actually came in four different pastel shades, I got the mint green version which I love and all the boxes came with a cute quote written inside the lid which I think was a nice touch. I must admit the contents this month wasn't as amazing as previous boxes I've had but I'll certainly get use out of most of the products so it's not all bad.

Anywhoo lets see what I received inside my April Iconic Hollywood Glossybox...
Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in Kiss | Full Size | £10.00
Firstly we have the Lord & Berry Lipstick Crayon in Kiss, this is something that everyone received in their boxes this month and really helps achieve that classic red lip that Marilyn Monroe always rocked.

POP Beauty Kajal Eyeliner Pen in Sooty Black | Full Size | £6.50
Next we have a Kajal eyeliner pencil by POP Beauty, I must admit I do love a good black eyeliner for the waterline so I'll definitely be using this up. As well as using this eye pencil on the water liner you can also use it to create that Elizabeth Taylor iconic cat eye on your upper lash line and you can use the little smudger to create a smouldering smokey eye, ohhh I do love a good multi use product.

Color Club Nail Polish in Barely There | Full Size | £4.50
Nude nails are a key trend for this Spring so it seems quite fitting that I got one in my box. I must admit I've never been a huge fan of nude nail polish on my nails personally but it will come in handy for any nail art I may do in the future when I need something nude.

Astral Original Face and Body Moisturiser | Sample | £2.64 for 200ml
The first sample in my box this month was this little pot of Astral. Astral is a versatile rich moisturising cream that's been a firm favourite amongst Hollywood stars and makeup artists since the 1950's, yup this little beauty has been around for yonkssss! I actually remember my mum using this when I was younger and she loved it so hopefully I will too he he.

IDC Scented Garden (Warm Lavender) Body Lotion | Sample | €4.98 for 780ml
And lastly my second sample product this month is a luxury body lotion from IDC Institute, unfortunately I got the Warm Lavender scent which I hate so I'll be passing this on to my Mum or a friend so this is a little bit of a let down product for me.

What did you think of this month's box beaut's?? I'd love to know.

Makeup Revolution Pro Go Mini Makeup Brush Set Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Back in January all of us Makeup Revolution fans where ecstatic when they launched their first makeup brush collection, it's something that we'd all been waiting for and they certainly didn't disappoint. Since then Makeup Revolution have been working hard on something else makeup brush related and it's got me very excited! Arhhh que the launch of the Makeup Revolution Pro Go Mini Makeup Brush Set*!
The Makeup Revolution Pro Go Mini Makeup Brush Set (£4.95) is the cutest little set for any makeup lovers that are on the go, the set consists of four mini brushes all of which are made from the finest, super soft, dual fibre, synthetic hair, making them work amazingly well with cream, liquid and powder makeup. The style of the Pro Go Mini Makeup Brush Set differs from Makeup Revolutions original line of makeup brushes and I have to say I absolutely adore the change. Instead of the all black style the mini brushes have gorgeous rose gold coloured ferrels and black glossy handles with rose gold font etched on either side of each brush, on one side is the 'Revolution' logo and on the other is what the brush is named such as the 'Mini Foundation Brush', personally I have fallen in love with this style, they are just so pretty aren't they? The mini brushes also come packaged in a handy little plastic pouch which fit's perfectly in any handbag, makeup bag or clutch bag so your brushes can go with you wherever you go without being damaged or taking up much room at all.

Onto the Pro Go Mini Makeup Brush Set run down...

Mini Face Brush
The Mini Face Brush is perfect for applying powder and for doing any base makeup touch ups throughout the day, it's actually my favourite brush out of the four in the set because I've found it just has so many uses and can basically do your entire base makeup if you wish. For the last couple of day's I've actually used the Mini Face Brush for applying my liquid foundation and it works amazingly well, if your anything like me and like something less dense to buff your foundation in you'll love this brush as much as I do, it's just so great! Along with foundation the Mini Face Brush can be used to contour, bronze, highlight and to apply blush, it's fair to say this is the ultimate base makeup brush for anyone on the go or on their travels.

Mini Foundation Brush
The Mini Foundation Brush is the flat style of foundation brushes which I must admit I never use for foundation, instead I find them ideal to blend in liquid or cream concealer, especially in this case with the brush being mini it fits right into the inner corners of the eye area, up underneath the lower lash line and around the nose perfectly. This brush is also a great size for highlighting the brow bone, cupids bow and down the centre of the nose, again another brush in the set that can be used in lots of different ways.

Mini Eyeshadow Brush
The Mini Eyeshadow Brush is perfect for touch ups or to reapply your eyeshadow throughout the day, it's a nice flat oval shape so it works great at packing on eyeshadow all over the lid and can also be used to apply/blend eyeshadow underneath the lower lash line.

Mini Angled Brush
And lastly we have the Mini Angled Brush which is my second favourite out of the set, it's great for applying gel liner and smudging liner out, and works well for any intricate eyeshadow work too. I've also been enjoying using the Mini Angled Brush to fill in my brows, however if you have very thin or small brows this brush might not be a thin/fine enough for you but as my brows are on the larger side the angled brush works perfectly for me.
Overall I'm so happy Makeup Revolution dived into to the depths of mini, travel friendly brushes, the quality of this set is amazing and the dual fibre bristles really help achieve that airbrush finish, since using the mini brushes I haven't experienced any shedding bristles and they all feel super soft against the skin too which is such a bonus, theres nothing worse than rough, scratchy brushes is there. You may notice that the Makeup Revolution Pro Go Mini Makeup Brush Set is very similar to the Real Techniques Mini Brush Trio however you get an extra brush in Makeup Revolutions offering and it's also cheaper too, I cant say whether this is a definite dupe as I don't own the Real Techniques set but theres definite potential.

What are your thoughts on Makeup Revolutions Pro Go Mini Makeup Brush Set beaut's?? Will you be buying it?? I'd love to know!
