Slay This Spring/Summer With Cosmetify!

Hey beaut's!

As the weather gets a that bit warmer, the flowers start blooming and we naturally start feeling those Spring/Summer vibes it's time to switch things up in your makeup bag and get Spring/Summer ready! Say goodbye to your heavy matte foundations, dark eye shadows and vampy lips and rekindle your love with something lighter, brighter and fresher. So today I thought I would share with you a couple of products I got from Cosmetify* that are going to be perfect for the up and coming seasons!

If you haven't heard of Cosmetify before they're a beauty discovery website that has thousands upon thousands of makeup and beauty products all on one platform making it so quick and easy to shop, theres your higher end brands like NARs, Charlotte Tilbury and Chanel, and your high street brands like Barry M, Collection and ELF so theres brands to suit everyone, and theres everything from makeup, hair, tanning, fragrance, nails and even men's grooming to choose from, it's essentially a hub of all things beauty!

One thing I always like to switch up when the weather gets warmer is my base makeup products so I had to grab a new primer to try, I opted for the Barry M Unicorn Primer Drops Beauty Elixir (£7.99) and I'm so glad I did because I love it! This is an oil-free elixir which is packed with super fruits such as acai berry, goji berry, watermelon and tamarind, which all work together to brighten, detoxify, hydrate and smooth the skin making it the perfect primer and skin care treatment. As you apply the primer the pink glowy formula from the little pipette dropper adds the most natural luminosity to the skin without being glittery thank goodness, it goes super tacky as you rub it in which my foundation seems to love because it blends and lasts like a dream over the top of it, it's amazing stuff that I'm going to need to re-purchase over and over from now on!

Sticking with base makeup I had wanted to try the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder (£20.00) for soooo long and when I saw Cosmetify had a deluxe mini size available it seemed the perfect time to give it a whirl, plus you always need a good setting powder in the warmer months dont you! After giving this powder a go I can finally see why it's so well loved in the beauty world, it literally goes on so lightly and smoothly without adding a powdery texture to the skin - it's amazing, it also has a soft-focus blur effect built in so it subtly blurs imperfections, it doesn't settle into fine lines or pores either and never looks cakey, which is an absolute first for me when trying a loose powder! It's INCREDIBLE and no wonder it's won awards!

I love that MAC now have a 'Little' range as it allows you to try something out before maybe committing to the larger size, I decided to grab the MAC Little Pigment (£10.00) in the shade Rose which is the most beautiful deep metallic rose colour with gold flecks suspended within it, it just screams Spring/Summer to me and I also think it would work amazingly well during the festival season!
Finally Summer just wouldn't be Summer without messy beachy waves and I happen to love that wavy look, and Redken's Wax Blast Spray (£10.73) is literally incredible for creating that perfectly undone texture to the hair whilst also keeping the style in place for a good couple of days! The way I like to use the wax blast spray to achieve that beachy look is by curling my hair (you don't have to be neat) I then spray the wax blast through the curls and on my hands and use my hands as a comb to work it through the curls and make them quite messy and choppy, the effect is lush! The next day I repeat with the spray to add more texture to the curls and as more days go by the better it looks in my opinion!

What are your Spring/Summer beauty product must haves beaut's? I'd love to know!

Check out all of these products along with thousands more on the Cosmetify.

What I Got For Christmas 2018

 Hey beaut's!!!

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and stuffed your faces with all the pigs in blankets and chocolate because I know I did! I'm so sad Christmas is all over for another year though, I absolutely love the build up and the pretty decorations but hey, today I thought I'd keep things slightly festive and join in on the 'What I Got For Christmas' bandwagon, personally I love reading these type of posts and seeing what lovely gifts everyone received. I was so lucky this year and received some lovely gifts from my family, boyfriend and friends and I really am grateful and truly thankful for everything I got! Anyway lets get going...
So lets kick things off with makeup, their wasn't actually much makeup on my Christmas wish list this year which is a first for me, but the one thing I had been longing for was the Huda Beauty New Nude Palette, and seeing as it's a hefty £56.00 I knew it would be something I would never buy myself but my boyfriend Mike treated me to it and I'm so thankful because look how stunning it is! As Mike knows what a makeup addict I am he also got me a Benefit set which was exclusive to Boot's this year, it's has some great full size bit's in it as well as some travel sized goodies so I cant wait to start using them! My Mum and Dad then got me the Too Faced Under The Christmas Tree Set which has a whopping three palettes inside as well as a travel sized Better Than Sex Mascara, my Mum done so well bless her, she stalks my Instagram for ideas apparently LOL!
My Mum and Dad also picked me up the Soap & Glory The Mask Force Five Set, the Christmas Edition Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and a Lush Bath Bomb Gift Set, all of which I absolutely adore so thank you so much Mum and Dad, they also got me some Topshop Joni Jeans but I completely forgot to photograph those, oops!
One thing I couldn't believe my boyfriend Mike got me was the Harry Potter Hogwarts Great Hall Lego set, this is something I've often seen in shops and said to Mike I'd love to build it and he only went and got it for me bless him, I'm actually half way though making it already because isn't Lego addictive....I have a strange feeling Lego building could be my new hobby LOL! Mike also picked me up a bottle of Jimmy Choo Blossom perfume too because he knows it's my go to fragrance for Spring/Summer so I'm now stocked up with a big 100ml bottle!
My bestie Kate knows me so well, she got a Yankee Candle bauble because I'm such a candle addict, a baking cook book because one of my main hobbies is baking and the Maybelline Line and Prime Gift Set which is just me all over, thanks so much girl! And finally Mike picked me up a new hand whizzer, this was actually on my Christmas list as the last hand whizzer I had literally blew up a couple of months a go so I was in desperate need of a new one! He also got me the most precious Beauty and the Beast music box which you wind up yourself and it plays the Beauty and the Beast theme song, I LOVE this so much and haven't stopped winding it up since I got it!
So that's all of my gorgeous gifts I received this year beaut's! I also received some tins of chocolates and biscuits that I think will last me a lifetime ha ha and I received some money too so I think a shopping trip will be in order very soon I'm sure!!!

What did you get for Christmas beaut's?? Leave me your links below as I'd love to see.

Autumnal Candle Haul!

Hey beaut's!

It's that time of the year again when I turn into the crazy candle lady, theres something so cosy and warming about burning candles during the Autumn/Winter months isn't there, they just look so pretty on those dark autumnal nights and the spicy, warming scents are just amazing! Because I literally have to fill my entire house with candles it means I have to bu quite a few and I found some absolute corkers in TK MAXX recently so I thought I share which ones I got!

All four of the candles I picked up in TK MAXX are by the brand DW Home, I believe this is an American brand which would explain the epic scents I found, I don't know about you but I feel like candle companies in the UK just don't do those epic Autumnal/Halloween scents like they do in the states! All four of the candles I got come in glass jars with lids and feel super luxurious and expensive, the prices of these where pretty epic too, the small jars where only £2.99 each and the larger jars where £5.99 which for candles in general is good but as their an American brand I think that's an amazing price!
(From left to right - Maple Pumpkin, Pumpkin Spice,  Apple Cider, Frosted Leaves)
The scents I picked up are...
Maple Pumpkin - Wow this candle is next level, I wish they had larger jars of this one in stock because I think I would of bought a couple of those because I love it so much! Maple Pumpkin smells sweet like caramelised sugar and pumpkin combined with a hint of toasted nuts, it honestly smells good enough to eat!
Pumpkin Spice - This one comes in the most amazing black glass jar with little gold bats all over it, it was also boxed up in gift box for no extra charge which I thought was such a nice touch, they had a couple of other Halloween candles boxed up too if your looking for a Halloween themed gift! This one reminds me of Yankee Candles cinnamon stick, it has quite a strong cinnamon and nutmeg vibe going on mixed with a brown sugary sweetness, it's absolutely lush!
Apple Cider - This one not only looks super autumnal in it's rusty Orange jar but it's literally autumn in a candle, theres hints of woodland spices mixed with warm apple cider, it's incredible and the scent throw is fabulous!
Frosted Leaves - This is quite different for me because it's got that woodland vibe like autumn leaves, weathering pine and burnt embers but I actually really like it, it kind of reminds me of going on a drizzly walk in the woods with the dog if that makes any sense he he!

I'd definitely recommend popping into TK MAXX soon if your after these candles as I cant see them lasting very long, I definitely want to pop back in a grab a couple more soon! I want to check out their autumnal homeware too but they never really had much of that in when I went!

What scents have you picked up for Autumn beaut's? I'd love to know!

New Launches By Technic Cosmetics + Swatches!

Hey beaut's!

I've talked a hell of a lot about Technic Cosmetics over last few months on haysparkle.com and that's because I've really fallen in love with the brand, some of their products are now my makeup bag essentials so when they launch new pretties I cant wait to get my hands on them, lucky for me they have recently launched some gorgeous looking bits which I've been giving a whirl!
The first two newbies are Technic's VIP Colour Wave Eye & Cheek Palettes in Bronzed Bae* and Fairy Tale* (£6.99)! These are soooooo pretty, each palette contains five little wave segments of soft, baked colour which double up as eyeshadows where you can use each little segment separately, or you can swirl a brush through all the colours and use them as pretty epic highlighters. I've been using Bronzed Bae loads because it's so easy to use on an everyday basis and the highlight that the first 2 shades within Bronzed Bae creates is absolutely stunning! Fairy Tale is much more of a fun, daring palette, I absolutely love it because it just reminds me of unicorns and all things pretty and used together as a highlighter it's just 'wow', I've never rainbow highlighted before but it looks so cool on the cheek bones. You can also use both of these palettes wet or dry and really up the pigment and hi-shine if you wish but they do work really well dry in my opinion!
I think it's absolutely genius that Technic have launched their very own Shade Adjusting Collection, it so hard to find the perfect shade of foundation these days so any lightening or darkening drops that you can easily buy are a winner. As well as the light and the dark drops Technic also have Shade Adjusting Highlighter Drops* (£2.99) which I've been obsessed with! I'm all about glowy skin and a few drops of this gorgeous stuff mixed in with my foundation creates the perfect dewy, radiant skin, in the Spring/Summer months these drops are going to be an essential for me.
Finally we have the Technic Shadow Sticks*, I LOVE eyeshadow sticks because their so quick and easy to use, you can simply scribble the colour on your eyelids and either use your finger or a brush to blend the colour out and your ready to go! I have the shades Frosting - an icy white perfect for highlighting the brow bone and inner corners, After Midnight - a deep blue/black with tiny silver sparkles running through it, Rose Gold - my favourite shade out of the four and the one I've been reaching for the most, as the name would suggest and its a pretty rose gold/copper shade and finally I have Chocolate Fondant - a super wearable metallic bronze! All four of these shades are super pigmented, blend out beautiful and can be worn alone if your in a bit of a pinch or they work great as base/primer shades for powder shadows, Frosting really helps bright eyeshadows pop too!

Are you a fan of Technic? Which products are your favourite? I'd love to know!

American Sweets Haul - Halloween Edition

Hey beaut's!

A couple of my many loves in life are American sweets and Halloween so when the two come together it's like a match made in heaven for me, unfortunately here in the UK it's pretty hard for us to get American food however, when I was searching online recently I came across a website which is based in the UK that sell LOADS of American food, drink and sweeties! After taking a look at the website I actually found quite a lot of Halloween sweets that I had been searching for last year, and actually the prices weren't that harsh, of course there where certain things on the site that where expensive but there was also quite a few bits that I thought where pretty reasonable so I placed a cheeky order!

The first thing I knew I wanted to search for was some M&M's, theres soooo many cool flavours too choose from in America, I'm so jealous! I decided to pick up 2 bags of White Chocolate Candy Corn M&M's to try and I couldn't resist a giant bag of  White Pumpkin Pie M&M's either he he, I have some cool Halloween baking plans with these!
I then picked up a few mini bits and pieces to try as they where so cheap, I got a couple of the Hershey's Candy Corn bars, these where just 30p each and are made up of white chocolate and mini candy corn pieces. I then grabbed a few bags of the Trick or Treat Reese's Pieces for my boyfriend which where 30p each and finally the Caramel Apple Milky Way bites sounded too yummy to scroll past and at 20p each I couldn't resist!
The Branch's Autumn Mix (£1.99) was just what I was looking for to decorate my autumn and Halloween bakes and treats with so I grabbed a bag, they also have other variations of candy corn and some of the bags are huge too!
Now I know Haribo is pretty easy to find in the UK but I loved the idea of these Ghostly Gummies (£1.24), the pack is crammed with pumpkins, skulls, bats and mummy's, cute! I also picked up a couple of boxes of Pop Tarts for my boyfriend, a tin of pumpkin for some pumpkin pie making and a bag of Jolly Ranchers for me because I bloody love them!

Overall I spent £18.13 for 19 things which I think is pretty good and I'm so pleased with what I picked up! If your interested in treating yourself to any of these I'd be pretty quick, last year I added loads to my basket and then clicked off the site, then when I went back a couple of days later to buy everything 90% of the stuff had sold out so it does go pretty quickly!

Technic Cosmetics Review #2 - Beauty Bargains Alert!

Hey beaut's!

You may have seen back in August I tried a few makeup bits and pieces by Technic Cosmetics after hearing such good things about them, to my surprise everything I tried was actually pretty good and most of them made their way into my everyday makeup bag pretty sharpish. After having such fab results last time it left me itching to try more, well you cant whack affordable makeup that actually does the trick can you!
I'd had my eye on the Technic Metalix Eyeshadow Creams* for such a long time, metallic eyeshadow creams and glitters seem to be huge right now but I couldn't seem to find any at high street prices until now. Technic's Metalix are just £1.99 each and they are bloody brilliant, I have the shades are Taupe Be - a golden bronze, Plum Pudding - a deep plum/purple and Champagne For Everybody - a bright gold/champagne, each one applies with a little doe foot applicator and they blend like and dream, they're super pigmented too and wont budge once their set. These are by far my favourites out of all the Technic makeup I own, their gorgeous!
I wear liquid liner pretty much every day and the thing that has impressed me the most about this Technic Chunky Liner in Black* (£1.99) is that it stays put like nothing else, I'm surprised it isn't labelled as a waterproof liner  because it literally doesn't fade, smudge or run throughout an entire day, I can even touch my eye area and it wont transfer, I'm very impressed with it and for £1.99 you cant go wrong! The Ultimate Brow Kit* (£2.50) pretty much has everything covered when it comes to brows, theres 3 brow powders, a brow wax, two mini brow brushes and the cutest mini tweezers I've ever seen. It's an amazing little kit if your travelling or going on holiday as theres everything you need to keep those brows on fleek in one tiny palette, the lid even has a decent size mirror inside it too which is always appreciated!
I'm obsessed with makeup sprays at the moment so I couldn't wait to see how Technics Primer Spray* (£1.49) held up. To be honest I didn't see much difference in the longevity of my makeup but the spray definitely helped my base makeup blend better on my skin and my foundation seemed to sit flawlessly on my skin too. The way I like to use the spray is by drenching my face in the spray first the I go straight in with my foundation whilst my face is still wet and it does something magical when the two mix. Finally can we all just appreciate how stunning the Colour Max Matte Lipstick in Kiss Catch* (99p)  is... wow this shade is right up my street and the formula is lovely, despite being matte it isn't super drying and my lips still have movement when rubbed together which gives this lippie lots of sparkly points from me!
Overall I'm loving every single thing I've been road testing, especially those gorgeous Metalix Cream Eyeshadows. All of the Technic products are cruelty free, suitable for vegans and vegetarians too which is a major bonus for me and the fact their so ruddy cheap is such a winner, my bank card now has no excuse to keep yelling at me he he.

What are your favourite Technic products beaut's? I'd love to know.

Crabtree & Evelyn's NEW Pomegranate & Argan Oil Range

Hey beaut's!

Keeping my body nourished is a must for me, I have dry skin so theres nothing my skin loves more than a huge dose of moisture and Crabtree & Evelyn's NEW Pomegranate & Argan Oil Range has been doing just that! Crabtree & Evelyn actually have six new naturally derived ranges too choose from, each one with a different scent and purpose, the Pomegranate & Argan Oil Range is specially designed to nourish so I knew straight away it would be right up my street. Theres 9 moisturising goodies to choose from in the Pomegranate & Argan Oil Range, I've been giving the Body Cream, Body Smoother and the Hand Therapy a whirl and the results so far have been amazing!
The Pomegranate & Argan Oil Body Smoother* (£20.00) is one of my favourites out of the collection, I'm such a sucker for a good body scrub and this one is so nice and feels super luxurious! The Body Smoother feels more like a thick cream with scrubby bit's within in it than a harsh scrub, it gently exfoliates and polishes my skin whilst I'm in the shower and conditions at the same time, leaving me with super soft, supple skin and theres not any dry flakiness in sight, I love it. I'd definitely recommend this if you have slightly sensitive skin because it works in more of a gentle way.
After using the Body Smoother in the bath or shower I always follow it up with the Pomegranate & Argan Oil Body Cream* (£28.00), this is the thickest body cream I've ever used and it's so deeply moisturising, I've honestly never tried anything so moisturising so if your a dry skinned gal like me then you HAVE to give this one a whirl. Because the formula of this body cream is so thick I find a little goes a long way and it seems to melt into the skin so quickly and never leaves a sticky residue thank goodness. I also have to add the scent of this collection is gorgeous, they all have warm fruity notes of orange, juicy pomegranate and sweet fig with the heat of ginger and black pepper spice, they all work so well together and smell so good.
I seem to go through hand cream like it's going out of fashion and I'm nearly half way through my Pomegranate & Argan Oil Hand Therapy* (£18.00) so as you can tell I love it!  The hand cream itself is white with a creamy consistency, it's enriched with Shea Butter, Ceramide and Moroccan Argan Oil which together make this a super moisturising hand cream. What I love about this hand cream is that it doesn't take long at all to soak into my hands, just like the body cream it literally melts into my skin and theres no sticky residue afterwards either, that's a huge pet hate of mine and so many hand creams leave my hands tacky after application so I'm so happy I don't have that problem with this one.

I feel like this range is so good to transition from Summer into the Autumn/Winter months because the scent is fruity but also warm and spicy, it's also going to be so so nourishing in the cooler months, overall I'm a fan!

You can find the full Pomegranate & Argan Oil Range on the Crabtree & Evelyn website HERE

Love The Sales Beauty Bargians!

Hi beaut's!

We all love a bargain don't we, whether it’s a treat for myself and my ever growing beauty stash or something nice for my wardrobe, or even a gift for someone special, getting it on sale not only makes my money go further but makes me extremely happy too. However, it can be a real chore going through website after website of all the brands you are interested in to find the best deal until now.... A website called Love the Sales* holds every sale item from 100’s of retailers and 1000’s of brands altogether in one place, never before has it been so easy to go sales shopping. Whether it's beauty, fashion, electronics, home, garden, sports, gifts or anything else that takes your fancy, Love the Sales have it at the best prices. Anywhoo onto the bargains I got...
I'm a slight eyeshadow palette addict so when I saw that Love The Sales had the limited edition NARS and God Created The Woman Eyeshadow Palette with a £10 saving I just had to give it a whirl. This limited edition set comes with a 6 pan eyeshadow palette, an angled makeup brush and a mini NARS Pro-Prime Smudge proof Eyeshadow Base, so it's quite good value and you have the added bonus of trying a NARS brush and primer. Within the eyeshadow palette theres 2 metallic shades and 4 matte-shimmers all of which are on the neutral side of things which I like, even though this is a small palette it can be quite versatile and a number of day and night looks can be created. As I'm pretty new to NARS I was really unsure what to expect from the quality of their eyeshadows but all of the shades are really nice, they have plenty of pigmentation, blend well and last so long especially with the primer - which is the best eyeshadow primer on earth I swear, my eyeshadow literally doesn't budge an inch with the primer underneath, it's incredible.
I'm loving makeup setting and priming sprays at the moment and Rimmels #Insta Fix & Go does both at the same time because it's a 2 in 1 priming and setting spray, you cant beet getting two products in one can you. I have to say pretty much straight away I loved this stuff, it works an absolute treat and keeps my makeup in place and looking cake-free most of the day. It also has the most gorgeous, refreshing cucumber scent which to be honest makes all the difference, other sprays I've used are un-scented so this makes a lovely change.

Overall I absolutely love the Love the Sales concept and will certainly be using it a lot more in the future, especially at Christmas time he he. It's key to remember that Love the Sales work on real time, so offers are changing quick, so if you see something you want at a bargain price nab it quickly!

Have you tried the LovetheSales website beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!
