March Degustabox Review + £6 off Discount Code

Hi beaut's...

I have a subscription box review for you all today but it's a subscription box with a difference.... it contains yummy food and drink, so say hello to Degustabox*. Degustabox works very much like how beauty subscription boxes work, for £12.99 a month (postage included within the £12.99 price) you will receive 9 to 14 surprise food/drink products, many that are completely new to the market! So if your a bit of a foodie like myself  and you love subscription boxes your going to love this beaut's! I have to say this months box is one of the best yet, everything inside I absolutely love and I couldn't wait to tuck in!
Lindt White Chocolate Gold Bunny £2.99
Firstly this month I just had to start with my favourite... Chocolate! As a little Easter treat Degustabox popped in a medium size Lindt White Chocolate Gold Bunny, this literally lasted me and my boyfriend about 10 minutes because it was quite possibly the best white chocolate that I've ever tasted! It was soooooo yummy!

Chewits x4 35p each
Next up is four packets of Chewits, these are sooo nostalgic for me because I used to love these when I was little and I don't think I've had a packet since I was about 7 so I cant wait to try them again. I received two packets of Blackberry and two packets of Strawberry which used to be my absolute favourite, arrrrhhh the memories!

Metcalfe's Skinny Popcorn in Cinema Sweet £1.50
Then we have the newest addition to the Metcalfe Skinny Popcorn family, cinema sweet! I absolutely adore the sweet popcorn that you get at the cinema so I cant wait to try these when me and my boyfriend have a movie night, whats even better is that they are only 93 calories per serving and contain 67% less sugar than all other sweet varieties which means guilt free munching for me he he.

Pipers Crisps in Cheddar and Onion £2.00
Next up is a sharing bag of Pipers Crisps in Cheddar and Onion. Pipers Crisps sound pretty amazing actually because they claim to make Britain's tastiest potato chips, they also have 23 gold Great Taste Awards under their belts so I'm expecting very good things from these crips and again they will be the perfect snack for nights in front of the TV.

Brioche Pasquier Pains au Chocolat £1.40
I do love a good Pains au Chocolat and these new ones from Brioche Pasquier sound super tasty and contain generous helpings of creme patisserie, they're individually wrapped too which is so conveinant and makes them the perfect on the go snack or lunch box treat!

Parle Hide & Seek 59p and Parle Monaco 39p
Then we have two tasty packets of biscuits from the brand Parle. Firstly theres the Hide & Seek biscuits which are kind of like chocolate chip cookies really but they are square, and secondly theres the Monaco biscuits which really reminded me of those savoury Ritz biscuits. Both are super yummy and haven't lasted long in our house.

Karyatis Meze To Go £1.99
The Karyatis Meze To Go is totally up my street, I love things with dips so seeing this in my Degustabox  made me very happy.

Kallo Quinoa and Seeds Multigrain Cakes £1.89 and Kallo Milk Chocolate Rice Cake Rounds £1.00
I love the Kallo brand and I often buy their Milk Chocolate Rice Cake Rounds so I was super happy to see a packet in my box, there was also their Quinoa and Seeds Multigrain Cakes too which I haven't tried before so I'm looking forward to giving those a whirl with some Philadelphia on maybe.

Kent's Kitchen Cranberry & Orange Stuffing £1.85
I absolutely love stuffing with my roast dinners but I've never tried a Cranberry and Orange flavour before, I can imagine it would work well with chicken or turkey so I'm looking forward to giving it a whirl.

Weetabix On The Go x2 £1.50 each
These Weetabix drinks are so yummy, they are basically just like milkshakes that contain all the energy, protein and fibre of Weetabix cereal. I received the Strawberry and Raspberry flavour and Blueberry and Blackberry flavour, both of which where delicious!

Good Hemp Coconut Milk £1.79
Lastly this month is this carton of Good Hemp Coconut Milk, it's made from the natural goodness of hemp seed making it a natural source of Omega 3 and is completely allergen free.

Overall I love everything in my Degustabox this month, all in all I think it's such a great take on a subscription box, I love the whole element of a food surprise and getting excited about what meals or cakes I can whip together, it's fab! You can find Degustabox on Twitter and Facebook for more information, pictures and promotions.

Degustabox have kindly given me a discount code for all of my beautiful readers, all you have to do is pop BLDEG15 into the promotional code box and you'll receive a whopping £6.00 discount when registering. And don't worry beaut's, theres no commitments with Degustabox meaning you can cancel your subscription free of charge before the 10th of any month, but I mean why would you cancel monthly surprise treats ha ha!

What do you think of the Degustabox concept beaut's?? I'd love to know your thoughts.

Lush Bunch of Carrots Review

Hi beaut's!

Happy Easter to you all, I hope your all having a fabulous Easter Sunday so far and scoffing lots of chocolaty treats! Anyway, you may remember a while back I posted a Mini Lush Haul and within that haul was some of the Mother's Day and Easter sweet smelling treats. I'm begrudgingly getting through all my Lush limited edition goodies now ( I want them to last forever ha ha ) so today I thought it would be the perfect time to review the ever so adorable Bunch of Carrots Reusable Bubble Bar.

The Lush Bunch of Carrots are three Reusable Bubble Bar's that are shaped as the name would suggest as a cute bunch or carrots tied together by their stalks. Lush did do the Bunch of Carrots last year but this year they switched things up a bit and have given them a colourful makeover so instead of getting three orange carrots you actually get one orange, one pink and one purple carrot, I love this change! The scent of the bunch of carrots is lovely, it contains a gorgeous blend of buchu oil, Sicilian lemon and bergamot oils which gives you such an uplifting bath with fruity and sweet scents running through it!

As for how these adorable carrots work... You can actually swirl the entire bunch of carrots around the bath by their stalks but I've actually been using each carrot separately to make the most out of the pretty colours, I feared that if I used them all together I might just end up with a grey bath once the colours where combined. As you can probably imagine the orange carrot created a soft orange almost peachy coloured bath water, the pink carrot gave me hot pink coloured water and my favourite was actually the purple carrot because it turned the water a soft lilac colour which looked absolutely stunning, you may have seen me post pictures on my Instagram and Twitter of these as I done a post on each carrot! Each carrot created tonnes of bubbles and left it's gorgeous scent behind on my skin after getting out of the bath.

The Bunch of Carrots are quite pricey at £6.25 for the bunch but actually I think its amazing value as you can separate each carrot and keep reusing each one over and over until their gone. I have actually used all my carrots up now and got 2 baths out of each one but I'd definitely say you can get more out of them it just depends how bubbley you want your bath really!

Did you manage to get the Lush Bunch of Carrots beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Lip of the Day!

Hey beaut's!

You may have seen that a few weeks ago I done a post all about my 'Base of the Day', I wanted to do something a little different from a face of the day post so I basically shared the products that I'd used that day to create my perfect base. So following on from my Base of the Day post I thought today I'd share with you all my lip combo of the day!

Today I opted for one of the newer lipsticks in my collection and now one of my favourites and that is Mac's Faux. Faux is a gorgeous muted mauve-pink with a satin finish which I find is the perfect shade for everyday wear and goes well with any makeup look, I love it! I also love the fact that Faux has a satin finish because that's my absolute favourite finish, I find that satins just look so polished and perfect on the lips and are neither glossy or matte but somewhere in between and aren't drying at all.

To line my lips I used Rimmel's Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob, I bought this ages ago as I heard it was a dupe for Mac's Soar Lip Liner and have been in love with it ever since I bought it, it's absolutley gorgeous! I used this just to perfect' the shape of my lips really and make my lips slightly more pouty looking, I didn't actually fill my entire lip in with this liner because I find Faux lasts on my lips a really long time anyway. If you haven't tried Eastend Snob before I highly recommend you getting it, trust me beaut's you'll love it!
Whats your favourite lippie to rock at the moment beaut's? I'd love to know!

Creme Egg Cupcakes

Hey beaut's!

You may already know that during Easter and the time running up to Easter I get slightly addicted to Creme Eggs, my goodness I love them, so the other day I decided to not only bake some Creme Egg Cookies (HERE) but I also baked some Creme Egg Cupcakes too that I'll be sharing with you all today and wow they are delicious!
What You Will Need
150g unsalted butter
150g caster sugar
120g self-raising flour
30g good quality cocoa powder (I used Bournville)
3 medium eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 bags of mini Creme Eggs
Sprinkles (optional)
makes 12

For The Frosting
50g unsalted butter, melted
45g good quality cocoa powder (I used Bournville)
75ml milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
450g icing sugar

How To
1. Firstly freeze 12 of your mini creme eggs for a few hours or overnight, this is a must if you want your mini creme eggs to stay in tact whilst the cupcakes bake in the oven.
2. Then pre heat your oven too 180c or gas mark 4 and line a muffin tin with paper cases of your choice, I actually got some cute yellow ones with polka dots from Poundland!
3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together your butter and caster sugar until it's pale and creamy, then pop in your eggs and vanilla extract and mix again.
4. Once all of your wet ingredients are well combined start adding the flour and cocoa powder gradually.
5. Pop a spoonful of the cupcake batter into the bottom of each cupcake case then place one of your frozen mini Creme Eggs on it side, on top of the batter.
6. Once all your mini Creme Eggs are in place, top them off with another half a spoon of cupcake batter making sure you cover the creme egg well.
7. Pop into the oven and bake for around 20 minutes or until they are springy to the touch.
8. Once the cupcakes are completely cool it's time for the fun part, frosting and decorating. In a large bowl, beat the butter and cocoa powder together until combined, then add the milk and the vanilla and beat again until smooth. Gradually add in the icing sugar until you get your desired consistency, if you find your frosting is too runny then just add more icing sugar or if it's too thick add very small amounts of milk until your happy.
9. Once I frosted all my cupcakes (I used a star shaped nozzle and disposable piping bag for this) I finished the cupcakes off with more mini Creme Eggs on top and some sprinkles.
And there you have it, easy but very yummy Creme Egg Cupcakes! I loved making these, they where so fun to do and tasted amazing. I love the fact that you get that hidden mini creme egg inside too, nom nom nom!

Do let me know what you'll be baking over Easter beaut's and if you give these yummy cupcakes a whirl, I'd love to know!

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Prickly Pear

Hey beaut's!

As Spring is now officially here it's time to switch things up in our wardrobes, makeup bags and our nail polish stash, say goodbye to all the dark dreary colours and hellloooo to all the pretty pastel shades he he. Anyway today I thought I'd share with you a nail polish that I've been obsessed with recently that I think is perfect for Spring - Barry M's Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Prickly Pear!

Prickly Pear (£3.99) is a gorgeous blue toned lavender/lilac shade with a slight pastel vibe that just screams Spring to me, I get a complete opaque coverage after just two coats without any streaking or bubbling and found the Gelly Hi Shine formula a dream to work with, the finish is so shiny and glossy and really gives that effect of gel like manicured nails which I love. The staying power on my nails is quite good, I never used a top coat and Prickly Pear was on my nails a good 3-4 days until I got some noticeable chipping, which I think is rather good going considering how heavy I am with my hands at work and at home doing housework and washing up!
Overall I absolutely love this shade and can see it being a staple in my nail polish collection this Spring, I just love how hard wearing it is on me and the overall glossy effect I really rate, I literally cant get enough of it!

Have you tried Prickly Pear before beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Easy Creme Egg Cookies ♥

Hey beaut's!

I haven't done a baking blog post in absolutely ages which is quite surprising since I'm always baking at home, but today I'm back with an extremely scrumptious recipe that's easy to do and goes hand in hand with Easter - Creme Egg Cookies!

What You Will Need
200g butter
300g caster sugar
325g self-raising flour
1 egg
5 regular size Creme Eggs

How To
1. Firstly pre heat your oven too 180c or gas mark 5 and line a couple of baking sheets with greaseproof paper.
2. Then in a large mixing bowl, cream together your butter and caster sugar until it's pale and creamy, then pop in your egg and mix again.
3. Once all of your wet ingredients are well combined start adding the flour gradually, don't just throw it in all at once otherwise it will be so hard to mix together and your likely to get covered in flour in the process he he.
4. Then it's time to roughly chop up your Creme Eggs into different sized chunks, this is definitely easier to do if your Creme Eggs are at room temperature. Once your happy with your chopped up Creme Egg's add them to your cookie dough and mix again until the Creme Eggs are well incorporated through the cookie dough. You can actually pop in more Creme Eggs than 5 if you like which is what I wish I would of done, the more you pop in the more yummyness you'll get running through your cookies.
5. Roll your dough into balls and place them on your baking trays spaced apart, I did space mine quite far apart but they still spread massive and ended up touching each other so just bare in mind that the bigger your dough balls are the bigger they will spread.
6. Pop them into the oven and bake for around 8-10 minutes. When you remove your cookies they will probably still look quite dough like but that's completely normal, as long as they are a nice golden colour they are done and will firm up as they cool.
And there you have it, very easy but very yummy Creme Egg cookies! These are so nice because not only do you get the chunks of dairy milk running through the cookies but the goo from the inside of the Creme Eggs ends up melting and spreading through the cookies  giving you a slight chewy caramel consistency that actually tastes of Creme Egg, it's amazing!

Do let me know what you'll be baking over Easter beaut's and if you give these yummy cookies a whirl, I'd love to know!

Lush Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb Review

Hi beaut's!

You may remember a while back I posted a Mini Lush Haul and within that haul was some Mother's Day and Easter sweet smelling treats. I'm begrudgingly getting through all my Lush limited edition goodies now ( I want them to last forever ha ha ) so I thought it was about time to start sharing my thoughts on some of them starting with the gorgeous Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb.

The Lush Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb (£2.95) is shaped like a decorative Easter Egg and has a cute, hot pink colour to it that any girly girl would love! The scent of Fluffy Egg is simply gorgeous, if your missing your Snow Fairy fix already then Fluffy Egg could cur those cravings because it's smells so similar to Snow Fairy, it's just so sugary and sweet, arrhh I love it!

As for how Fluffy Egg worked in my bath... Well, as soon as I popped the pink, sweet smelling gorgeousness into my bath it fizzed and swirled away and immediately had my bath water turning a shade of hot pink and filled the whole upstairs of my house with it's sugary sweet, candy like scent which was amazing!  I found the scent also lingered on my skin the whole evening too, and I could even smell it in my hair the next day it was amazing! As always after a Lush bath, my skin felt super soft and I definitely felt the effects of Fluffy Egg's calming and relaxed ability.

Overall I LOVE Lush's Fluffy Egg, I'm so happy the decided to bring it back again this year because just like last year I'm obsessed, it's so nice having that hint of Snow Fairy back in my life again too he he.

Have you tried Fluffy Egg yet beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Lipsticks

Hey beaut's!

Today I'm back to share another really exciting new release from our friends over at Makeup Revolution! This time around Makeup Revolution have released a gorgeous Rose Gold Lipstick Collection* that consists of 5 stunning shades ranging from nude to vamp that retail for just 3 teeny, tiny little pounds each, BARGAIN ALERT!
The Rose Gold Lipstick Collection really does pack a colourful punch and theres certainly a shade to suit everyone here! As I said before there five shades to collect starting with Red Carpet - a gorgeous pillow box red shade that would be the perfect night out lipstick because it's so glamorous and would go hand in hand with an LBD. Then theres Diamond Life - this is a sophisticated berry red shade which is super autumnal and would be great to transition from the summer to the Autumn. Next up is Girls Best Friend - this is a bright barbie pink that would look amazing through the summer and is so fun and girly. The fourth shade is the collection is Chauffeur - this is my absolute favourite shade which is actually quite surprising because me and nude lipsticks never get a long however this is the perfect shade of nude and I must say it's the only nude lipstick that I've EVER liked that doesn't wash me out! The last lipstick in the collection is Private Members Club - this might look quite scary and almost black in the bullet but it's such a pretty, vampy dark purple shade which again will work great on night out or during the autumn for that statement lip look.
The formula of these lipsticks is lovely, they all have a cream satin finish which is actually my favourite and for any of you gals that are a fan of Mac's satin finish lipsticks like I am then you'll find that Makeup Rev's offering is extremely similar. The lasting power of these is good and last me a good 3-4 before I need to top up however I do find the darker shades last that bit longer which is to be expected really.
Let's talk packaging, I seriously had love hearts in my eye when I first saw these lipsticks, each lippie is packed within a beautiful rose gold bullet which is so on trend and is really going to impress when you take one out of handbag to re-apply. I also love the fact that each lipstick has little cap of the same shade of lipstick in the bottom of each bullet which makes finding your chosen lipstick shade super easy whilst they are in your lipstick holders or storage.

Overall I think the Rose Gold Lipstick Collection is an absolute hit, the shades are stunning the packaging is absolutely gorgeous, I cant fault they quality and they are super affordable at just £3.00, arrhh I just love them so much!

What's your favourite Makeup Revolution lipstick shade from the Rose Gold Collection beaut's?? I'd love to know.

Imperial Leather Foamy Banana Shower Cream Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

You may already know that I'm slightly addicted to Imperial Leather's Comforting Marshmallow shower cream but recently they have added a new addition to their amazing 'Sweets' range of shower creams and I just had to give it a whirl, so say hello to Foamy Banana's he he!

As far as shower gels go Foamy Banana's* is pretty good and does get the job done, it lathers up really well when used with a loofah and feels so soft and creamy against my skin whilst I'm washing. I think it's obvious that the scent is the real selling point here and I must admit that's what I was most excited about when testing out this shower cream and my goodness it didn't disappoint, it smells so sweet, fruity and exactly like the smell and taste of the foam banana's you get in the sweet shop which I'm slightly addicted too, for some this shower cream might be slightly sickly but I absolutely love sweet, sugary scents so that isn't a problem for me, the scent also seems to linger on my skin slightly after getting out of the shower which I think is fun and would be amazing for kids. If your looking for a shower gel with hydrating qualities then Foamy Banana's wont be for you, whilst it never dried my skin out at all it is just your average shower gel but with an amazing scent and cute packaging.

Overall I think Imperial Leather's 'Sweets' range is an absolute hit and after falling in love with Foamy Banana's and Comforting Marshmallow I now want to try the others in the Sweets collection so bad he he. You can find the Imperial Leather Foamy Banana Shower Cream for £1.80 in Superdrug or selected Tesco stores.

Have you tried the  Imperial Leather 'Sweets' range beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know.

Mini Primark Haul

Hey beaut's!

Last week I went to Norwich and I just had to pop into Primark and see what new bits they had, to be honest I didn't see a great deal that tickled my fancy, I think it's because it's that funny time of year where all the Spring stuff is coming in yet it's still freezing cold here in the UK, never the less I did pick a couple of things up so I thought I would share them with you all today!

The first thing I picked up was a Lace Up Front T-Shirt (£7.00) in a gorgeous berry red shade, I've been after one of these lace up tops for quite a while but never found one that fits me perfect until I tried this beauty on. What I like about this one in particular is that the fabric is really soft but really thick so it's great to wear right now with my little leather jacket!
Then I went and had a look at the shoes and my goodness it was sandal overload, I've honestly never seen so many sandals in one place in my entire life! I ended up going for these cute Diamante Floral Sandals in Black (£6.00), they had these in so many colours but hardly any of them had any size 3's left (I have tiny feet you see) so when I spotted the black pair in a size 3 I just had to nab them to put away for the Summer before they sold out.
Sticking with the Spring/Summer theme I picked up some new sunnies! You literally cant beat Primarks sunglasses, theres so many pairs too choose from and they are so cheap. I went for the pair Primark call the Retro Club master in Brown, I love the shape and style of these and my boyfriend said that he loved them when I tried them on, so for £2.00 they went straight into my basket he he.
Then I ventured upstairs to check out the home ware, I really wish Norwich had a bigger home ware section as I'm slightly obsessed with Primarks home ware. The first thing that caught my eye was one of their candles in French Vanilla (£2.50), this candle smells incredible and so strongly of vanilla, I love it! Also the square copper/rose gold glass jar the the candle comes in is stunning and I will be reusing it somehow on my dressing table, I'm thinking maybe for my eye makeup brushes!
Lastly I picked up this cute watermelon 'Life is Sweet' dome shaped cup with a straw (£3.00), I got this to encourage me to drink more water when I'm at the computer blogging away and it would be great for smoothies and milkshakes too.
Have you picked up any goodies from Primark recently beaut's? I'd love to know!
