Face Of The Day | My Everyday Makeup

I thought id do a little post on what makeup I'm currently using on a daily basis. Id like to say i don't wear too much makeup on a daily basis, just the basic staples. I do always get myself in a little routine of the same products for a while and then switch it up abit if I'm getting bored or if I've purchased a few new goodies. Anywhoo here's the run down of the current products I'm using.

♥ Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation in '100 Ivory'

♥ Rimmel's Wake Me Up Concealer in '010 Ivory'

♥ Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in 'Medium', I'm only using this to powder over my Concealer to set it into place at the moment.

♥ Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in 'Soft Pink'

HD Brows Kit in ' Foxy' using 'Ash Brown'

♥ Urban Decay NAKED Basics palette using 'Naked 2' all over the lid and 'Faint' in the crease, then i defined my upper lash line with 'Crave' instead of going for liquid liner.

♥ Avon SuperShock Gel Eyeliner in 'Black'

♥ Rimmel's Glam'EYES Day 2 Night Mascara in 'Black'

♥ Revlon Lip Gloss in 'Kiss Me Coral'

I hope you enjoyed this type of post girlie's.

May Favourites ♥

Hey girlie's!! As the month of May is drawing to a close i thought i would share with you all my favourite beauty products I've been loving throughout this past month.....
Sleek Face Form Palette in Light

I adore this, I've been using it every single day as it just has everything i need for face makeup in one little palette. The contour is great for adding shape to my face and also adding a little colour to my face too without looking like a shimmering disco ball. The highlighter is the best I've ever used, it doesn't just sit on the face it blends seamlessly to create a natural looking highlight and the blusher is a coral colour with rose gold shimmer particle's throughout it which is perfect for right now as we are in spring/summer. For a full review on this Contour Kit click here.

Urban Decay NAKED Basics Palette

Since buying this at the end of April I've been addicted to it and haven't used any other eye shadows since. Its just the perfect all rounder, it can take you from a nice natural day makeup look too a more smokey evening makeup look all in 1 little palette of six shades, there's not a single eyeshadow in this palette that i don't like or use either. It's a great makeup bag or handbag sized palette too and the lasting power and pigmentation is fabulous. For a full review of this palette click here.

Revlon's Nail Polish in Tropical Temptation

Tropical Temptation has been my go to nail polish since April, its a gorgeous peachy coral colour that's fantastic for this time of year. Its looks great on fingers and toes and i can see this colour looking gorgeous whilst on holiday and with a tan.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes

I have been using these everyday for years, they are the only facial cleansing wipes that don't irritate my eyes whilst removing my eye makeup and are so gentle on my sensitive skin. They have no alcohol or perfume in their range and are also Dermatologically tested and approved. I use these wipes in conjunction with my Simple Cleanser at the moment to remove every trace of makeup.

Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel

I'm a huge fan of Soap & Glory products and their Clean On Me shower gel doesn't disappoint either. I use 1 pump of this on my loofah in the shower and it lather's up so much that the 1 pump is enough for your whole body. It smells so sweet and zesty and has the added bonus of a built in body lotion so it leaves your skin clean, smelling fresh and moisturised. Also its been fine on my sensitive skin where as lots of other shower gels i get a reaction from so its win win for me.

What's been your favourite beauty product this month?? I'd love to know :)

Face and Hair of the Day

Hey girlie's!!! I went out for lunch yesterday with my boyfriend and his dad so i thought i may as well share with you a cheeky little face of the day (focused more on the eyes than the skin) and hair of the day combined.... Hope you like ♥

Face

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation in 100 Ivory, i used my Real Techniques Buffing brush to get a nice flawless finish.

♥ Collection Concealer in Light.

♥ Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium, i used my Real Techniques Powder brush to get the perfect finish.

Eyes

♥ Mac Paint Pot in Bare Study, i just blended this all over the lid with my finger to work as a base for my eyeshadow.

♥ Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, i started off mixing 'Foxy' and 'WOS' together with my Real Techniques base shadow brush and popped that all over the lid, using the same brush i took the colour 'Faint' and worked that into my crease. To get that extra blended finish in my crease area i picked up a small amount of 'Naked 2' on my deluxe crease brush and just buffed away. I used my accent brush to smudge 'Crave' on the outta corner of my lower lash line.

♥ Dainty Doll Liquid Eyeliner on the upper lash line.

♥ Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Kohl Eyeliner in Black used to line the water line.

♥ Maybelline The Falsies Mascara in Black.

Brows

HD Brows Kit using Ash Brown from the Foxy Palette, i used my Real Techniques detailer brush as this brush is the perfect shape for my brows.

Lips

Natural Collection's Pink Mallow.

Hair

As always i used my Remington Pearl Curling Wand to curl my hair, I'm loving this style at the moment as the curls stay in for a good couple of days in my hair, which in the long run it means I'm using less heat on my hair.

I Went Shopping ♥

Hey girlie's!!!! These are a few bits that I picked up on a recent shopping trip, so since i haven't done a shopping haul post on my blog yet i thought id give it a whirl.....

Firstly i went to Primark, i didn't pick much up as the shop was absolutely packed (as usual) everything was a mess and jumbled (as usual) and i honestly couldn't wait to get out, ranting aside i do love what i picked up.

I decided to get 2 of the popular slogan tee's that are everywhere at the moment, i thought they'd be really cute tucked into high waisted jeans or skirts and go great with my white Vans and for £4 each you cant grumble ♥

I got these gorgeous little plimsolls for a bargain of £3, they're navy with little pink flowers on and i instantly loved them when i saw them. The toe post sandals where £4 and i particularly liked the fact that they have the rose gold metal detail on them as i thought it was really unusual and gives them abit of an edge.

I got this little cream headband purely because my dog decided to chew up my last one ha ha, it was only £1.50 so a nice little bargain. I also picked up some basic black skinny jeans, usually I'm a Topshop Leigh jean kinda gal but thought id give Primark jeans a go.

I then picked a few bits up from New Look.....

I adore peplum tops, with my figure they are just so flattering as I'm quite curvaceous and they just fit me lovely so i bought 2 more to add to my collection, the Coral textured one was £9.99 and i thought would be perfect for spring/summer and the plain Black one was £8.99 which i thought is just a great staple to have in my wardrobe as i can pair it up with literally anything.

This long patterned vest was £6.99 and i just loved it when i spotted it, i think I'm gonna pair it with a navy cardigan, jeans and either some sandals or vans.

Then i popped into Boots, i only went in for face wipes but that didn't happen ha ha....

Maybelline had an offer on a few of their mascara's and since The Falsies is quite raved about  and i needed a new mascara i thought why not grab one, it was £5.99 which i thought wasn't too bad.

I also spotted a new range of nail polishes i hadn't seen before by Sinful Colours, they where all a bargain at £1.99 each so i got 'GoGo Girl' on the left and 'Island Coral' on the right. I'm yet to try them but i love the colours i got.

Finally, i had been lusting over the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette for ages so i caved in and grabbed one in House Of Fraser, it was £20 and i have to say I've only used it once since buying it and i love it, i will be doing a full review on it soon once I've really used the palette abit more.

So that's my collection on new goodies i got, please let me know if you like this kind of post where i do a kind of show and tell of my latest purchases as ill continue in doing them more often.

Love Hayley xXxXx

April Wishlist ♥

1. Ive been lusting over this gold stud purse every time i go into Topshop so as I've been working my butt off recently i think I'm gonna treat myself very soon to the little beauty.

2. I know the Alexander Wang knockoff bags where everywhere last summer but i decided to restrain myself back then, not because i didn't like the bag as i actually love it, but i knew everyone would have it around the same time so i thought id wait, but now i want it more than ever so i will definitely be picking it up soon.

3. The Theodora palette by Urban Decay looks gorgeous, even the packaging is fab and I'm a sucker for cool packaging!!! The quality of Urban Decay eye shadows is great so I'm hoping to get this soon so my Naked palette has a friend ha ha.

4. I'm a massive candle fan and my obsession seemed to get worse when i moved into my house. Ive seen these Neom candles raved about on Blogs and YouTube and would love to have one myself, they are a little on the pricey side although I'm sure they are worth every penny, I'm so gonna have to buy one very soon.

5. Ive wanted to try the Bourjois Bronzing Powder for so so long but as I'm not a huge bronzer fan I've always shied away from it, however, Ive recently started using my Elf Warm Bronzer  and I'm really loving the more bronzed look so I'm going to pick one of these up very soon, it looks amazing and its always raved about so I'm hoping that since I've now found my love for bronzer that this will look lush this spring/summer.

6. Next i want to try any of the Loreal liquid eyeliners, it doesn't have to be the one pictured but just in general I'm wanting to try their range out. Believe it or not I've only recently got the hang of doing liquid eyeliner and as the quality of Loreal's are ment to be really good I'm hoping to test a few out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

7. I really want to see if the La Rouche-Posay Effaclar Duo will help get rid of some of my blemishes left by past breakouts so I'm definitely up for giving this a whirl soon.

8. As we draw closer to some nicer weather ( hopefully ) i really want to steer away from my winter shades and get more into pastels, i love Barry M Nail Paints so the fact they do some amazing cute pastel shades excites me silly amounts.

Whats on your wishlist this month girlie's????

Please let me know any good recommendations on the liquid eyeliner front or if you've reviewed any feel free to leave your links, id love to check them out.

Urban Decay NAKED Basics Palette Review

Urban Decay NAKED Basics Palette £20

I'm super excited to review this palette being the huge Urban Decay fan that i am. The Naked Basics is a cute little palette with 6 neutral matte eye shadows, so if your into your matte eye shadows and your neutrals this is definitely the palette for you. The palette is quite slim and small with a rubberised finish to it and has a good sized mirror inside the lid, out of all the Urban Decay palette's this is my favourite packaging as the other palettes tend to be quite large so aren't so easy to travel with or carry around in your make up bag for touch ups during the day, but this little beauty is pocket sized id say.

Two of the shades in this palette are available in other Urban Decay palettes but the other four are brand new shades. The only semi matte shade in this palette is Venus (the lightest shade in the palette) it has a slight pearly shimmer to it which is fabulous to highlight the brow bone or the tear duct area. What i love about this palette is that the shades can simply take you from day to night, you can use your lighter colours in the palette for the day time and then smoke it up at night with the darker colours, the colour 'Faint' is also great for my eyebrows too.

Colour Description:

Venus: An off white shade with a slight shimmer. NEW!
Foxy: A matte light yellow/creamy colour.
Walk of Shame: A very light nude colour also matte.
Naked 2: A taupe matte colour. NEW!
Faint: A matte dusty brown. NEW!
Crave: A deep dark matte brown/black. NEW!

Without flash.

With flash.

All the shades in this palette are highly pigmented, super soft to the touch and easy to work with, as the formula is so super soft they're really easy to blend and stay in place on the eyelids all day, i have super oily eyelids so i do use a primer or a base so i can get longer wear out of the shadows but i have tested this palette out without primer and the shadows lasted a good 6/7 hours which i thought was amazing.

Overall i really do love this palette, i think it super affordable considering its a high end makeup product, its great for travelling and the eye shadows are super good quality.

Have you got this beauty of a palette?? What did you think??

MUA Undressed Eye Shadow Palette Review

Hey girlie's!!!! After using the MUA Undressed Palette recently i couldn't wait to tell you how much I'm in love with it. As i walking into Superdrug i spotted that we finally had the MUA Professional range in, i cant tell you how long I've been waiting for this to come into my local Superdrug store, as i was browsing i noticed how similar the Undressed Palette was to the Urban Decay Naked Palette and as it was an absolute bargain of £4 i thought why not buy it and give it a go.

The palette contains 12 eye shadows in total, 2 matte shades and the rest is made up by a  mixture of pearl, shimmer and metallic shades. The pigmentation of the shades in this palette are all amazing, there isn't 1 shade that isn't highly pigmented. The lasting power is also great i never had to retouch my eyeshadow all day, i found the eye shadows really easy to blend and to work with, the one thing i did find was when applying these shadows i did experience a small amount of fall down even after tapping off excess shadow off of my brush but it was nothing i couldn't fix with a bit of foundation and concealer. I will insert a picture of the swatches i done, unfortunately the shades don't have names so its just a case of them being shade 1, 2 and so on.

Shade 1 is there it's just a very light shade and my arm is pale here.

As you can tell from the swatches the shades really do resemble the Urban Decay Naked Palette and the quality is just as good and just as the 'Naked' Palette it can take you from a day look to a evening look really easily. On the back of the packaging it does give you what they call a 'mini master-class' of a look you can create with these eye shadows but to me the list is endless and the colours in this palette are right up my street. All in all I'm super impressed with this little palette and id recommend it to everyone, its so nice to find a real good quality eye shadow palette that doesn't break the bank, you can get your palette from  Superdrug only i believe as MUA are exclusive to them.

Much Love Hayley xXxXx

My Most Worn #2

Since my first 'My Most Worn' post is my most popular post so far i thought i would come back for round 2. As i said in my last post these are things that i wear the most, use the most and repurchase the most. To me these little gem's are worth every penny an i must admit i certainly get my moneys worth.

My Most Worn......

Eyeshadow Palette

This is my rather battered and bruised Urban Decay Naked Palette, i got this palette about 2 years ago and its become a staple in my every day makeup routine and as you can tell its very well used. I love the fact it can take you from day to night, from something subtle to something smokey, the shades are right up my street and the pigmentation is great even the lasting power is amazing. I will put all the shade descriptions below going from left to right:

Virgin: A satin champagne shade. Great for using as a highlight, I've hit pan on this shade.

Sin: A gorgeous warm shimmery champagne colour, I've also hit pan on this shade.

Naked: A matte Nude .

Sidecar: A coppery champagne colour with a hit of rose gold shimmer to it.

Buck: A matte soft brown.

Half Baked: A very pretty gold colour, kind of like MAC Amberlights.

Smog: A metallic bronze.

Darkhorse: A deep metallic brown.

Toasted: A reddened champagne.

Hustle: A deep metallic taupe.

Creep: A shimmery black.

Gunmetal: A deep shimmery grey.

Brows Palette

This is my beloved HD Brows Palette in 'Foxy', i received this palette in a Glossy Box a long time ago and at the time i never even bothered filling in my eyebrows as i didn't think it made much of a difference to me however, after playing around with this palette i was converted into using it everyday to fill in my brows ,as you can see I've hit pan on my brow colour ' Ash Brown' as its 100% the correct colour for my brows and makes them look natural and full. This palette also doubles up as an eyeshadow palette which is great as you can make a really nice soft smokey eye out of this, all round i couldn't live without this baby.

Jeans

Jeans have always been a massive problem for me as I'm quite short with a curvaceous figure  and have never been able to find that pair of jeans that just fit me correctly let alone being nice and comfortable, because of this I've always lived in leggings and jeggings or worn awful jeans that do nothing for my figure. One day when i was out shopping with my mum i decided to pop into Topshop and just have a quick look at their jean section, my mum convinced me to try some of the Leigh jeans on and like usual i had the ' they wont be any good ' attitude, as i started to try them on i honestly couldn't believe it, they where perfect. I love the fact you can shop for your leg length and your waist size in inches, they are a super soft lightweight denim and have a cute little turn up hem at the bottom, they are £38 a pair but are worth every single penny. I love them.

I hope you enjoyed another instalment of my most worn treasures, i will be doing more of these type of blog post's so be sure to check them out too.

Oh Hi!!! Beauty Q&A

Hey girlie's!!!

Sooooo Ive been wondering what I should do as my very first blog post so I thought I'd do abit of a beauty q&a so that you can see my beauty and makeup loves so here goes.

                                                             image from weheartit.com

1. Whats your favourite eyeshadow colour to wear?
I swear by my Urban Decay Naked Palette i use for a casual day look to an evening look, my most worn shades are Virgin, Sin and Darkhorse.

2. Which feature do you play up the most?
My eyes, they are quite small so i like to try and make them stand out in a good way, plenty of mascara to lengthen my lashes which makes my eyes look more open and bigger and Ive been loving using a black eyeshadow on my upper lash line to create more drama.

3. Favourite foundation?
My all time favourite without a doubt is Rimmels Wake Me Up foundation, theres not a bad word i could say about it. I plan on doing a full blog post review on it soon.

4. Favourite Makeup Brand?
I'm loving Rimmel right now i cannot fault them, everything I've brought from them has been brilliant and totally affordable too.

5. Best beauty and makeup tips?
Cleansing and moisturising is a must...
Leave your spots well alone...
Drink plenty of water...
Clean your makeup brushes regularly...
Try and check your foundation in natural light when buying it..

6. Favourite Mascara?
Benefits Bad Girl Lash, makes your lashes MASSIVE i love it.

7. Which products do you repurchase over and over?
*Rimmels Wake Me Up Foundation is a must i cant live without that bad boy...
*Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, i literally couldn't be without it, its great for the darkness under my eyes, covering spots and for filling in pores.
*Rimmels ScandelEyes Waterproof Eyeliner its amazing for the waterline as it doesn't budge 1 bit but also great for creating a smokey eye as u have abit of time to work with it.

8. Favourite Nail Polish?
This is an easy one for me Barry M 273 Raspberry, its been a firm favourite of mine for years its seems to go with everything and is great for all seasons, day and night.

9. Best Moisteriser?
I have really sensitive skin so the Simple range is a god send to me, i swear by it. I use the Simple Light Moisteriser its great and looks lovely under my foundation.

10. Whats your favourite makeup look?
