What I Got For Christmas 2013 ♥

Hey girlie's!!!

Today I thought I'd join in on the 'What I Got For Christmas' bandwagon, personally I love reading these type of posts and seeing what lovely gifts everyone receives, I know this is abit of a love/hate post so I just want to add a little disclaimer that in no way am I bragging/ showing off, I'm a super lucky lady to receive all the lovely gifts I got and I really am grateful and thankful!!! Anywhoo lets get going....

Beauty/Make-Up/Perfume

Firstly let me just squeal in excitement at the fact my boyfriend Michael managed to get me the Naked 3 Palette...Eeeek!!!!! Words cannot describe how much I'm in love with this palette, its just so beautiful!!! Michael also got me the gorgeous Ted Baker Large Make-Up Bag, I've been lusting after one for a super long time so I'm thrilled to have one, its so cute!!! My Mum & Dad then surprised me with some MAC goodies & a Urban Decay Mascara,  it just goes to show my Mum doest actually switch off when I talk to her about make-up constantly ha ha bless her.
Bath Sets
I'm a huge Soap & Glory lover, everything about the brand is amazing in my eyes so I was super thankful for these 2 beaut's. My Mum & Dad got me the 'Once Upon A Lime' Set which smells absolutely incredible, its so refreshing and will definitely wake me up when I have my morning shower. The 'Bright and Bubbly' Set was from Michael and contains 4 miniature Soap & Glory classics and a body buffer, this little lot is definitely going to keep me going for a while.
Electrical
Michael spoilt me so much this year bless him as the 'Remington Pearl Pro Curler' was a gift from him also, this past year I've really got into curly/wavy/textured hair so I'm super excited to try out this bigger barrelled curler and see what looks I can create. The 'Oral-B Electric Toothbrush' and 'Paloma Floral Lamp' where gifts from Michael's parents, after using the electric toothbrush I actually cant believe how nice your teeth feel afterwards compared to when you use a standard toothbrush, its bizarre but great ha ha.
Candles
If you know me you will know I'm obsessed with Yankee Candles, I always have them burning everyday in my house, I'm such a crazy candle lady he he!!! I received a medium 'Beach Walk' candle from my Auntie, I must admit it's never really caught my eye when buying candles in the past, but my goodness it smells incredible!!! My Mum and Dad kindly got me a Christmas Samplers Selection, they know how much I love my Christmassy scents ha ha and Michael's parents bought me the large Apple Spice candle which again smells incredible.

Slippers
Oh my... How stinking cute are these slippers from Next!!! My Mum and Dad got these little beaut's for me and they are literally the softest most cosy slippers that my feet have ever seen ha ha.

Blogging Goodies
I actually couldn't believe my eyes when I opened up this... a Portable Photo Studio!!!!! How amazing!!!!! I've been lusting after lighting for my blog pictures for a while as taking blog photos at this time of the year is impossible so this present has just answered alot of my prayers ha ha, I love the fact that the set is all portable, making it so easy and lightweight to carry around and if I only want to use the lights out of the set I can or If I just need the tripod etc. I'm really looking forward to having a play around/photo session soon and hopefully my picture quality will improve. Major boyfriend points for Michael for treating me to this ha ha.

So that's most of my gorgeous gifts, my goodness I'm a lucky girl!!! I also received some comical stocking filler gifts, a tonne of chocolate that I think will last me a lifetime ha ha and this year me and Michael received quite alot of money so we will be treating ourselves in the sales I'm sure!!!

What did you get for Christmas beaut's??? Leave me your links below as I'd love to see.

Don't forget I'm currently holding a Nanshy Eye Brush Set Giveaway, you can enter here.

November Favourites ♥

Hey girlie's!!!

I cant quite believe its that time again.... November favourites time!!! I know I say this every month but my goodness November went quick, are you all really excited for Christmas yet??? I know I am ha ha. Anywhoo... I thought I would share with you all my favourite beauty products I've been loving throughout this past month... So here goes...

Barry M Nail Paints in Raspberry and Majesty

Raspberry and Majesty have been my favourite nail polish duo at the moment, I literally cant get enough of them. Raspberry is my favourite Barry M nail paint of all time anyway but I really go mad on it in the Autumn/Winter and as Christmas is getting closer I've decided to add some sparkle with Majesty, as we all know I love me some sparkle!!! Ive simply been painting each nail with raspberry apart from my ring finger which I like to do with Majesty and voila!!!

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me

As the weather has now gotten alot colder my lips have certainly been getting dryer and needing an extra moisturising boost, and I have to say my Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry me has been my saviour, it moisturises, conditions, smells amazing and once on the lips it gives you a lovely raspberry red tint. You can check out my full review on the Baby Lips collection here.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in 100 Ivory

I have been addicted to using Rimmel's Match Perfection Foundation recently, its just perfect for this time of year!!! The foundation is a light perfecting radiance foundation meaning it will give the appearance of more healthy, glowing looking skin which is exactly what I need when its dreary and dull outside. The foundation provides a medium but buildable coverage and blends onto my skin really well, its literally perfection in a bottle to me.

St Grape Aqua Bliss Bath Scrub

Oh how I love my St Grape Aqua Bliss Bath Scrub, so much so that I only have about 2 uses left in my pot. When you pop the scrub into your hand it feels slightly like wet sand in texture and is very gentle and not too abrasive yet it still feels like your giving your skin a good exfoliate, afterwards your skin is left feeling super soft and polished. The smell of the scrub, well..... Its gorgeous, it has quite a strong soapy scent that lingers on your skin for ages afterwards. Its great if your using the scrub in the bath too as when you rinse you skin free from the scrub it leaves your bath water slightly bubbly and the scrubs scent stays in your bath water, its honestly like heaven. I currently have a giveaway where 5 of my lucky follower can win a pot of then scrub, you can enter here.

L'Oreal Studio Matt & Messy Salt Spray

As you may or may not know I've been loving wearing my hair curly/wavy recently and the L'Oreal Studio Matt & Mess spray has been an amazing at helping me to create great 2nd and 3rd day curls. All I do is spray the matte and messy spray through my hair on the 2nd or 3rd day and after a scrunch here and a scrunch there my hair is all wavy again as if I have just waved my hair with a waving tool when I haven't, it's amazing and so so easy.

What's been your favourite beauty products this month??? I'd love to know!!!

Christmas Gift Guide | Festive Reds

festive reds

Hey girlie's!!!

Since there are only 44 days until Christmas, eeeeekkk yup, that's right just 44 days! I thought I'd do my very first Christmas gift guide with a girlie festive red theme. Ive gone for some cute bits you can pop in for stocking fillers and then some bigger bits for under the tree. I hope you enjoy!!!

♥ Everyone loves some cute snugly socks for Christmas and these fluffy snowflake/striped ones you can find in New Look for £3.99, I think they make perfect stocking fillers.

♥ Another perfect stocking filler is a nail polish, a Barry M nail polish to be precise, I chose the Red Glitter shade as I bought one for myself a few weeks ago ready for the festivities and I'm already in love with it. They're just £2.99 each which is such a good price for a good quality nail polish.

♥ Ohh now a Mac lipstick is such a treat for any make up or beauty lover, and something I'd be extremely happy to see on Christmas Day ha ha, I just had to choose the shade Viva Glam 1 for this gift guide as I think its stunning and would look great for winter time wear.

♥ Marc Jacobs perfumes always make great gifts, not only do his perfumes smell incredible but the packaging of all Marc Jacobs perfumes are cute and look that extra bit special. The RRP for the adorable 'Dot' is £32.95.

♥ I just couldn't do a gift guide without a classic Christmas jumper, it just had to be done. There are loads to choose from at the moment in all different retailers but I chose this cute Reindeer Jumper for £9.49 from ikrush.com as all their Christmas knitwear is reasonably priced and super cute.

♥ A onesie is essential during the winter months, they just keep you so toastie warm and comfortable and I think this red/white snowflake onesie is just lovely. It's currently on sale in New Look for £15.00.

♥ Everyone seems to get slippers from me at Christmas, my Mum, Dad, Nan, Boyfriend ha ha, yup everyone, well they are always needed around this time of year, nobody wants cold tootsies do they??? These red and white fleecy lined slipped look so cosy and are available in Debenhams  for £10.00.

♥ How stunning is the Dior Christmas Party Lips & Nails Set from John Lewis for £48.00!!! Its such a lovely gift set that I'd definitely buy for a loved one that's really into their make up.

♥ A hot water bottle is something nice to give to someone who really loves their snugly duvet days or if your like me, I like to pop it in the bed to make the inside of my bed nice and warm ha ha. You can get the red/white love heart hot water bottle from House Of Fraser for £14.00.

♥ Mittens, mittens, mittens oh how I love you, ha ha. It's essential to have a really nice pair of gloves or mittens during the winter time. The mittens in my gift guide are from Gap and are £9.95 which I thought was a really good price for some good quality mittens.

♥ It wouldn't be a gift guide without the appearance of a festive candle. I chose Yankee Candle's Christmas Eve as it's one of my favourites and just looks and smells so Christmasy. The medium Yankee Candle jars are priced at £16.99 and are available in selected retailers.

I hope you enjoyed my first Christmas gift guide girlie's and I hope it's given you a few idea's on what to get the ladies in your life, whether it be for your family or friends.

Glossybox August 2013 | High Flyers Edition | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

So its that time again... Glossybox time!!! This month the boxes theme is 'High Flyers',  targeted for girls that are on the go and is also based on beauty products from around the world.

If I'm honest I'm not totally sold on this box which is disappointing as i loved last month's box, anyway onto whats inside....

Tresemme Keratin Smooth 60 Second Shot Treatment 15ml

I have to admit i cant wait to try this out. Ive used Tresemme's Platinum version of this before and it works wonders on my hair so I'm sure this is going to be just as fab. All you have to do is smooth it through the mid lengths of your hair, leave for 60 seconds then rinse off for smooth results. This is the full size and retails at £1.49.

Jelly Pong Pong 2 in 1 Eyeliner & Shadow

Jelly Pong Pong products keep appearing in the Glossy boxes recently, personally i don't mind as everything from them I've tried before I've loved. The eyeliner doubles up as a cream eyeshadow which i think is fab, i don't tend wear a real dark smokey eye but i can see this being a lovely base for a dark smokey eye on a night out as I've found it smudges out really nice.  The eyeliner is also really nice for the waterline, it glides on really soft and creamy and is a well pigmented black shade. This is the full size and retails for £10.50.

Urban Veda Facial Polish 20ml

I must admit I'm not too sure if ill get much use out of this product but I'm sure my mum will ha ha. Its a pore refining and mattifying facial polish that's for oil prone skin, as i don't suffer with oil prone skin or bad pores I'm sure this product isn't up my street plus I'm also very weary when it comes to skincare products because of my sensitive skin. It does have a nice fresh minty scent though which i think would be lovely and awakening in the mornings. The full size of this retails for £7.99.

Emite Make-Up Eyelash Curlers

The Emite eyelash curlers do look pretty impressive and feel of good quality however i cant use mine as they are faulty... The part of the curler that clamps down on your eye lashes is bent making it impossible to use them as it will make my eyelashes stick up all over the place. I have emailed Glossy box about this and I'm just waiting for a reply. These are full size and retail for approximately £20.

Oceane Make-Up Remover Pen 3ml

The Oceane makeup remover pen is made to make those little makeup mess ups or smudges easy and accurate to remove without drying out the skin. I find this product a very bizarre product to get in your UK Glossybox considering its from Brazil making buying the little replacement clean up nibs imposable, however i do think this will be great to chuck in my handbag for any of those on the go smudges. This is the full price but as this product is not yet available in the UK there is no price to go by.

All in all i am a little disappointed with this month's box, although i do feel bad for grumbling as everything in this box apart from the Urban Veda product was full size which is fab!!! What did you think to this month's box??? Did you get dodgy eyelash curlers ha ha???

Glossybox July 2013 | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

So its Glossybox time again and i cant tell you how excited I've been waiting for this box to arrive, theres something about a summer themed box that just gets me all happy. It also couldn't have come at a better time considering the temperatures are souring in the UK at the moment so it all seems rather fitting for the 'Seaside Splash' box.

Last month its fair to say i was pretty disappointed with the boxes contents but this month Glossybox are back on form and i love my goodies, anyway onto what inside......

Alterna Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist 25ml

I was super excited to see this, I've been wearing my hair curly or wavy everyday recently so I'm always on the look out for a good tousling spray to help give me some more texture. Ive only used this once so far but i like it already. I sprayed it into my dry hair (you can also spray this into wet hair for a more beachy look) and gave it a good scrunch and it instantly gave me wavy texturised locks without weighing my hair down or leaving it crunchy and sticky so I'm really looking forward to experimenting more with this. The full size of 125ml retails for £23.oo.

Coola Mineral Face Sunscreen Unscented 7ml

Ive got high hopes for this little beauty. Its an organic facial sunscreen with SPF 20 that is hypoallergenic, free of parabens and packed with antioxidants. It provides complete UVA protection while soothing, toning and minimising pores, sounds amazing right!!!! I cant wait to try this out this week since the weathers going to be super hot and i definitely think I'm going to love it. The full size of 50ml retails for £29.99.

Anatomicals Spray Misty For Me Facial Spritz 100ml

Anatomicals Spray Misty For Me is a facial spritz that helps rehydrate and calm skin. When i first spritzed this i hated its lavender and peppermint scent but... it actually does make your skin look and feel instantly hydrated and refreshed. I think this would be perfect on holiday by the pool or on the beach, during flights and for general day to day use to just make you feel and look that little bit more refreshed. This is the full size and it retails for £6.00.

Essie Sleek Sticks in 02 Croc'n Chic

These gorgeous nail wraps are new to Essie and i cant wait to give them a go. I got 'Croc'n Chic' not the most summery option but i still like the affect. These seem so easy to use too, simply match the sticker size to your nail, peel them off an apply, before buffing away any excess with a nail file and they last up to 10 days too woohoo. These are a full size set and retail for £9.99 a packet.

Sleek Makeup Pout Paints in 'Milkshake' and 'Peek-A-Bloo' 8ml

I wasn't sure if i was supposed to get two of these or not ha ha but I'm glad i did as if id only got the blue one id have been gutted!!! I was totally miffed when i saw the Blue but as i looked into it more and noticed its meant for mixing to create different shades. I love Sleek Makeup as a brand but have never tried their 'Pout Paints' and after using 'Milkshake' I'm in love. They are highly pigmented lip stains that last for hours and smell so fruity too. Ill definitely get lots of use out of 'Milkshake' but not so sure on the Blue ha ha although when mixed together they create quite a pretty shade. Both of these are full size and retail at £4.99 each.

On a whole I'm super happy with what i received in this months box, even the design of the box itself it lush and i will be using it for storage in my bathroom.

Did you like this months box??? What did you receive???

Hey girlie's!!! I hope you've all had a fabulous week!!!  This week for me has been busy, busy, busy at work, that's why I've been abit quiet on the twitter and blogging front. Besides working I've done abit more baking this week when I've had the time, I'm seriously going to have to slow down on the baking front soon as my waistline is gonna hate me ha ha. Happy 2nd Birthday Glossybox!

I was super excited to receive my Glossybox this month knowing that it was the 2nd birthday box i was expected a nice treat and it certainly didn't disappoint!! The content's of my birthday box has 3 full size products inside, yes that right, 3. So thank you Glossybox its certainly a fabulous birthday treat for us!!

So here's what i got in my box!!!

♥ La Roche-Posey Anthelois XL SPF 50 Dry Touch Gel Cream rrp £16.50 - I was super excited to see this in my box as firstly its full size and secondly I've been dying to try some La Roche-Posey products for so long but as they are on the expensive side I've never caved in. This will certainly be great for summer and great for me to just try La Roche-Posey in general, i cant wait to use this when we get some hot hot weather.

♥ Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara rrp £15 - I was extremely happy to see this is my box as not only do i love the Jelly Pong Pong range but its another full size product, yippee. I  fell in love with the Lip Blush by Jelly Pong Pong that we got in the March box so I'm thinking this is gonna be just as fabulous too. It says its lengthening, volumising and non clumpy, every thing u want in a mascara right?

♥ Headline Colors Nail Polish in Twisted Silk rrp £9 - This is just so girly and gorgeous, its a thick matte dusky pastel pink which is perfect for the spring time. It's amazing quality and full size too.

♥ Beautiful Movements Prime & Create Mixing Medium rrp £20 - When i saw this in my box i was like ' what on earth '???? After some reading i learnt that this is in fact a Primer that can  also be used as a mixing medium to turn powder make up into cream based make up. I have used this so far to turn a broken powder blush into a cream blush and i have to say its fantastic. I'm looking forward to seeing how this works as a primer and what other powder to cream products i can make.

♥ Stone Beauty Body Lotion in Pomegranate Noir rrp £10 - This is the one thing in the box that I'm not too keen on as i hate the smell unfortunately. I did try a small amount on my arm and the formula is nice and it just melts into the skin quickly making u feel nicely moisturised and it never irritated my sensitive skin either but i just wish it smelt nice. I do however think its great that the Stone Beauty range isn't tested on animal's and contains no preservatives, parabens or sulphates.

♥ Lastly is the Glossybox added extra which is some cute little nail files, perfect for on the go use and to keep in your handbag.

I hope you enjoying seeing what goodies i got this month, i have to say i think its fabulous box this month, I'm really impressed.

What did you get in this months Glossybox??? Id love to know.

Love Hayley xXxXx

I Went Shopping ♥

Hey girlie's!!!! These are a few bits that I picked up on a recent shopping trip, so since i haven't done a shopping haul post on my blog yet i thought id give it a whirl.....

Firstly i went to Primark, i didn't pick much up as the shop was absolutely packed (as usual) everything was a mess and jumbled (as usual) and i honestly couldn't wait to get out, ranting aside i do love what i picked up.

I decided to get 2 of the popular slogan tee's that are everywhere at the moment, i thought they'd be really cute tucked into high waisted jeans or skirts and go great with my white Vans and for £4 each you cant grumble ♥

I got these gorgeous little plimsolls for a bargain of £3, they're navy with little pink flowers on and i instantly loved them when i saw them. The toe post sandals where £4 and i particularly liked the fact that they have the rose gold metal detail on them as i thought it was really unusual and gives them abit of an edge.

I got this little cream headband purely because my dog decided to chew up my last one ha ha, it was only £1.50 so a nice little bargain. I also picked up some basic black skinny jeans, usually I'm a Topshop Leigh jean kinda gal but thought id give Primark jeans a go.

I then picked a few bits up from New Look.....

I adore peplum tops, with my figure they are just so flattering as I'm quite curvaceous and they just fit me lovely so i bought 2 more to add to my collection, the Coral textured one was £9.99 and i thought would be perfect for spring/summer and the plain Black one was £8.99 which i thought is just a great staple to have in my wardrobe as i can pair it up with literally anything.

This long patterned vest was £6.99 and i just loved it when i spotted it, i think I'm gonna pair it with a navy cardigan, jeans and either some sandals or vans.

Then i popped into Boots, i only went in for face wipes but that didn't happen ha ha....

Maybelline had an offer on a few of their mascara's and since The Falsies is quite raved about  and i needed a new mascara i thought why not grab one, it was £5.99 which i thought wasn't too bad.

I also spotted a new range of nail polishes i hadn't seen before by Sinful Colours, they where all a bargain at £1.99 each so i got 'GoGo Girl' on the left and 'Island Coral' on the right. I'm yet to try them but i love the colours i got.

Finally, i had been lusting over the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette for ages so i caved in and grabbed one in House Of Fraser, it was £20 and i have to say I've only used it once since buying it and i love it, i will be doing a full review on it soon once I've really used the palette abit more.

So that's my collection on new goodies i got, please let me know if you like this kind of post where i do a kind of show and tell of my latest purchases as ill continue in doing them more often.

Love Hayley xXxXx
