Lush Sale Haul

Hey beaut's!

Every year the only Boxing Day sale that I really look forward to is Lush, for the past few years I've always been on the computer by 9am ready to buy all the festive goodies at an amazing 50% off, however I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that this year placing a sale order with Lush was a nightmare! They had major problems with the website and when they finally fixed it, it kept crashing because of the amount of us Lush lovers trying to visit the website, I finally placed my order at about 8pm on Boxing Day and by that time loads of the stuff I wanted had already gone out of stock ggrrrr. Anywhooo... Even though I only managed to get a few bits I still thought I'd share them with you all he he...

Drummers Drumming Bubble Bar £5.25 £2.18
I wanted to try the Drummers Drumming Bubble Bar all Christmas but didn't want to spend £5.25 on it as I knew I could get it cheap in the sale so I held out and luckily manged to get it for £2.18 woohoo. Drummers Drumming smells incredible, it has the most amazing sweet strawberry fragrance that smells so good it makes me want to eat it ha ha, it also looks super cute doesn't it!

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town Gift Set £33.95 £16.97

Because everything went out of stock rapidly I ended up buying a gift set, that way I was sure to get that bath bombs I was after ha ha. I decided on the Santa Claus Is Coming To Town Gift Set usually priced at £33.95 but I paid £16.97 which I thought was a really good deal. The box itself contains a Holly Golightly Bubble Bar which is absolutely massive, I shall get so many uses out of it that's for sure. Theres also a generous chunk of the Reindeer Rock Soap, a Snow Angel bath melt, a Golden Wonder bath bomb which again is huge, a cute Butter Bear bath bomb, a Dashing Santa bath bomb, a 100g bottle of So White shower gel and finally some Snowman shower jelly.

I absolutely love this gift set so much as theres such a variety of goodies to try inside, I'm super happy I managed to pick it up. The box also includes a little envelope with a letter from Santa, 'naughty' and 'nice' badges which could have been worn over Christmas and festive stickers to decorate as you please, I shall be saving all mine for next Christmas but I think its such a nice touch.

What Lush goodies did you manage to pick up in the sale beaut's?? I'd love to know!!

Soap & Glory Kiss Ass Concealer | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

So I've been umming and ahhing as to whether to buy this 'Kick Ass Concealer' for a super long time and I've finally decided i had to have it, i mean its just too nifty not to buy. Soap and Glory offer two shades of their 'Kick Ass Concealer' either Light or Medium, i picked up Light, i would of ultimately gone for the Medium but it was out of stock. The little 3 step concealer consists of a pink toned concealer which is great to conceal those under eye dark circles and to brighten up the eye area, a yellow toned concealer that is great for blemishes and a little setting powder to set the concealer and prevent any creasing or slipping.

I found both concealers super creamy in texture and really easy to blend into my skin, although this shade is slightly too light for me it still blends well and ends up being a great match for my skin tone, i use my 'Real Techniques' deluxe crease brush to blend this concealer out, weird i know but it works a treat. The setting powder is also lovely and sets the concealer completely and feels so silky smooth afterwards, i did find that using the little powder puff that's supplied can be quite tricky as it so small so i just use one of my brushes instead and it works just as well. As for staying power... I definitely suggest using the setting powder to set the concealer into place, when i haven't used the powder it did slip abit on me and i found if i touched my under eye area it would rub the concealer off purely because it hadn't set, but with the powder over the top it doesn't budge so that's not too much of an issue for me.

The packaging as always with Soap & Glory products is lovely, its so girly and quirky and right up my street. I love how compact it is as well as usually something that holds 3 products and a mirror would be alot bigger but it actually a lovely size and easy to carry around with you or fit into your makeup bag.

All in all i do really like this concealer, it reminds me of the same amount of coverage that the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer provides under the eyes, and the blemish side of the concealer was great for covering redness around my nose. I also think this is great value for money, its priced at £10 in Boots which i think is fab considering your getting 2 concealers, a setting powder and you get the little powder puff and mirror within the packaging, so there's lots for your money really.

Let me know if youve tried this concealer and what other Soap & Glory makeup you suggest, id love to know.

May Favourites ♥

Hey girlie's!! As the month of May is drawing to a close i thought i would share with you all my favourite beauty products I've been loving throughout this past month.....
Sleek Face Form Palette in Light

I adore this, I've been using it every single day as it just has everything i need for face makeup in one little palette. The contour is great for adding shape to my face and also adding a little colour to my face too without looking like a shimmering disco ball. The highlighter is the best I've ever used, it doesn't just sit on the face it blends seamlessly to create a natural looking highlight and the blusher is a coral colour with rose gold shimmer particle's throughout it which is perfect for right now as we are in spring/summer. For a full review on this Contour Kit click here.

Urban Decay NAKED Basics Palette

Since buying this at the end of April I've been addicted to it and haven't used any other eye shadows since. Its just the perfect all rounder, it can take you from a nice natural day makeup look too a more smokey evening makeup look all in 1 little palette of six shades, there's not a single eyeshadow in this palette that i don't like or use either. It's a great makeup bag or handbag sized palette too and the lasting power and pigmentation is fabulous. For a full review of this palette click here.

Revlon's Nail Polish in Tropical Temptation

Tropical Temptation has been my go to nail polish since April, its a gorgeous peachy coral colour that's fantastic for this time of year. Its looks great on fingers and toes and i can see this colour looking gorgeous whilst on holiday and with a tan.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes

I have been using these everyday for years, they are the only facial cleansing wipes that don't irritate my eyes whilst removing my eye makeup and are so gentle on my sensitive skin. They have no alcohol or perfume in their range and are also Dermatologically tested and approved. I use these wipes in conjunction with my Simple Cleanser at the moment to remove every trace of makeup.

Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel

I'm a huge fan of Soap & Glory products and their Clean On Me shower gel doesn't disappoint either. I use 1 pump of this on my loofah in the shower and it lather's up so much that the 1 pump is enough for your whole body. It smells so sweet and zesty and has the added bonus of a built in body lotion so it leaves your skin clean, smelling fresh and moisturised. Also its been fine on my sensitive skin where as lots of other shower gels i get a reaction from so its win win for me.

What's been your favourite beauty product this month?? I'd love to know :)

April Favourites ♥

Hey girlie's!! As April is drawing to a close ( woahhh that went quick ) i thought i would share with you my most reached for beauty products of this month, so without further a do here are my April faves.......

MUA Intense Kisses Lipgloss In Kiss and Tell

I brought this lipgloss a few weeks back and have been using it most days ever since, its the lasting power as well as the colour that i love. I'm the kind of girl that when i pop a lipstick or lipgloss on i want it there for a long time without having to worry as to whether it needs topping up or not, plus whilst I'm at work theres no way i can keep topping up my pout so the fact this stays on for hours ( 5 hours on me to be precise ) is great, and for a bargain of just £2 you cant go wrong. Check out the full review of this lipgloss by clicking here.

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium

This is just amazing!!! The finely milled powder gives a perfect matte finish and has amazing coverage without looking cakey, i love the fact you can pop this on top of a tinted moisturiser and have maxium coverage, its great for concealing pours and is super long lasting. I use my Real Techniques powder brush to apply this as i find its super quick to buff round my face into my skin. This maybe a pricey little bugger at £21.00 but so worth it.

Benefit High Beam
Ive recently been getting into highlighting again since the spring weather has arrived and its the High Beam I've been reaching for constantly. The baby pink liquid is so easy to apply and blend and gives you a beautiful radiant dewy complexion. It is abit on the pricey side but is super long lasting, its a great product and the packaging is mega cute too.

Sleek Storm Eyeshadow Palette

Ive been loving using my Storm palette again this month, I've been so loyal to using my Urban Decay Naked palette that id totally forgotten how much i love the Sleek palette. Ive swatched 3 of the eye shadows just so you can see how pigmented and pretty the shades are but i do plan on doing a full review on this palette so I wont go into too much detail. What i will say is this palette is really versatile as it goes from neutrals to more darker smokey colours and is a right bargain for the amazing quality of the eye shadows.

Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean

Peaches and Clean is a 4 in 1 wash off deep cleansing milk, Its great to use if you want to deep cleanse your skin which i have been doing every 2-3 days it also removes makeup with ease. When i first started using this i did get a few odd spots but i persevered and now i never get spots at all, i think it was the product working and getting rid of all the crap that brought out the spots in the beginning. All in all another great product from Soap & Glory that I'm totally in love with.

Whats been your favourite beauty product this month?? Id love to know :)

March Favourites

Hey girlie's!!!! As March is drawing to a close i thought i would take this opportunity to do my very first favourites post, i think i shall keep doing these sort of post's from now on as i love reading them myself. So here are my little beauty faves that i have been loving through the month of March......

Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush In Berry Red

I received this Lip Blush at the beginning of March in my March Glossy box and immediately loved it. Its basically a moisturising lip stain in a chunky crayon design. I love the fact that this is a stain as that means the lasting power it alot longer than your average lipstick or gloss which is a little brucie bonus for me as I'm so lazy at reapplying lipsticks, on me its lasts a good 3 hours. The colour pay off is good, you can either layer it up to have a real true red lip or have a simple one wash of colour to create a pinky redish lip. Its priced at £12 so i got a complete steal considering this was in my beauty box. Ill insert a picture of myself below wearing the Lip Blush so you can see what its like on.

Elf Warm Bronzer

I love this bronzer, its not overly pigmented but strangely enough that one of the things i love about it, i prefer to build up a bronzed look and not go straight in at the deep end with a highly pigmented one that just makes me look orange or rusty straight away. The elf warm bronzer in no way is orange, its just a lovely warm bronze shade that is mainly matte with a hint of sparkle running through it to be honest i never even seem to notice any shimmer or sparkle on my skin after using it. All in all i love it and I'm sure its going to keep me all bronzed and glowing all throughout the spring/summer.

V05 Give Me Texture Spray

This is my most favourite product this month, just recently I've been growing my hair out and as its got quite long now I've been curling it loads. After I've curled my hair i spray some of this into my hands and then use my hands as a comb and run it through my hair, it just really defines my curls and makes my hair look super shiny and makes my hair smell lush. I also love is as it allows me to have my hair curly for up to 3 days without needing re curling, all i have to do is simply brush my hair when i get up, spray some of this through my hair again give it a scrunch and it gives me big bouncy defined curls like I've literally just re curled it when i haven't, its just amazing and not overly expensive either so its win win for me.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is another one of my March Glossy box goodies and believe it or not i had never tried it before until i received it in my box, i will definitely be picking up the full size of this as its amazing. Ive mainly been using this on my lips or any dry patches on my face and its incredible, i mainly get dry patches on my face when I've had a spot and its dried up, i then pop abit of the eight hour cream on before i go to sleep and when i wake up the next day the dry patches have literally disappeared. I don't tend to use this as an all over body cream as to me its a little oily but on my hands before bed it works a treat to.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub

My most favourite scrub of them all is the Sugar Crush by Soap & Glory, on a whole I'm pretty much completely sold on all Soap & Glory products as they fab and this definitely doesn't disappoint. The macadamia grains and brown sugar provide a lovely medium exfoliation and then there's the lush fruity lime scent which lingers on your skin afterwards. The best thing about this is the way it makes your skin feel afterwards, its just so smooth and soft and the oils within the scrub seem to really moisturise and make your skin feel really pampered. Ill definitely be repurchasing this over and over.

Whats been you favourite beauty product this month?? Id love to know :)

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Lotion Review

Hey girlie's!!! After receiving a big Soap & Glory set as a gift a while ago I've now had the chance to try and test all the products in it in full, one of my favourites is this, the Smoothie Star Deep Moisture Body Milk.

As with all Soap & Glory products the packaging is gorgeous, it comes in a plastic bottle with a nice sturdy pump, i love the fact that this has a pump as i think it makes it much easier to apply and cleaner too, i also find i use it more because of it having a pump. Inside you get 500ml of product which i think is fab as its going to last a long time, I've been using mine for just over a month straight and my product has hardly moved down at all which shows me a small amount of this goes a long way.

The ingredients include almond, cocoa, yogurt, oats and honey, it goes without saying it smells delicious like all Soap & Glory products do, to me it just smells like a really nice cocoa butter. As the bottle states this is classed as a Body Milk so you would think it would be quite a runny consistency and not overly moisturising but no its actually really creamy and extremely moisturising.

I love the fact that this moisturiser soaks into the skin quickly, if there's one thing i hate is that horrible sticky feeling like your waiting for your skin to dry and you feel you cant get dressed as your so sticky, well you certainly DONT have that problem with this, it melts into the skin really quickly and leaves your skin feeling so moisturised and it just smells lush, i found the smell lingered on my skin for a long time afterwards too.

I would defiantly recommend this to everyone, for the amount of product you get and the amazing quality of the cream id defiantly say its worth the £10 price point, i will also be repurchasing this when i run out although i cant see that happening anytime soon as like i said before a small amount really does go a long way.

Much Love Hayley xXxXx
