I ♥ Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Polishes | Review

Hey girlie's!! Recently whilst having a nose around in Superdrug i noticed Barry M had some pretty pastel colours in their Gelly Hi Shine range, surprisingly i had never tried the Gelly range before, my thinking was 'how different could they actually be to the original nail paints'???  After trying them i now see the difference and I've discovered they are amazingggg!!

I picked up 'Dragon' which is the pretty pink colour and 'Papaya' the gorgeous coral colour, both shades are right up my street and perfect for spring/summer.

The thing that amazes me about these polishes is the quality, it almost feels like you've had gelish done to a certain extent. They give an extremely glossy finish and a high shine, are highly pigmented and have a chip resistant formula to make them super long lasting, mine lasted a good 5 days before there was any noticeable chipping. On the nails the Coral colour was completely opaque after just one coat but the Pink shade did take 2 coats to be completely opaque. They are priced at £3.99 each which i think is an absolute steal for the quality that your getting from these.

All in all I'm really impressed with the gelly hi shine polishes and I'm definitely going to get myself a little collection going. I'm a huge fan of the Barry M Nail Paints anyway but Barry M have really upped their game with these little beauties and i think its definitely paid off.

Have you tried these??? What did you think???

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

Hey girlie's!! So a while back i had my first encounter of a seriously bad break out and my general high street foundations weren't cutting the mustard when it came to covering up the awful spots and blemishes that had just appeared on my face out of no where, so i decided to pop into Debenhams and grab myself a swanky high end  foundation that would hopefully work wonders, after browsing for ages i decided on 'Double Wear' by Estee Lauder.

As you can see i got matched up with the colour 'Fresco' which is a tan shade with creamy undertones and in my opinion slightly to dark for me, its only bang on when I'm more tanned in the summer month's. The foundation comes in a frosted glass bottle with a screw up lid, personally I'm not a fan of the packaging as it comes without a pump so i find myself always pouring out too much product which leads to wastage or its just generally messy if you try and scrape the foundation back into the bottle. The consistency of this foundation is like a thick cream so is quite hard to smooth and blend across your skin with your fingers so id always recommend using a buffing brush to get that smooth, even finish. Id also say to work quickly whilst buffing this into the skin as it sets mega fast and you don't have much time to work with it all.

The finish of this foundation on me is a very matte full coverage and covers up any in perfections, spots and blemishes, i didn't find it heavy or cakey  on the skin nore did it sink into any creases, the one thing i did notice is if you have any dry patches of skin it does cling to them so id say use a good moisturiser first. The lasting power of this foundation is amazing, it lasted all day without a single touch up and didn't slide at all.

The foundation provides an SPF of 10 which is great for the protection of your skin but awful for photo's, be warned girls if you have your photo taken with the flash on this foundation gives a awful white cast and makes you look ghostly.

The Price: I paid £26.50 for mine but i think it all depends where you buy it from and if there's any offers on.

Availability: I picked mine up in Debenhams but it is widely available online and at Estee Lauder stockists.

My Verdict: Great for problematic skin that needs good coverage, it worked a treat for me whilst my skin was having a bad few weeks. It is a little on the pricey side for me but if you fancy treating yourself then its not too bad for a luxury high end foundation. The staying power is great, i even noticed it didn't budge during some hot humid weather. The fact it doesn't have a pump it abit pants but not a major, the only real let down  is the fact you look ghostly in pictures when you've used a flash.

Have you used this foundation? What did u think?

My Most Worn #2

Since my first 'My Most Worn' post is my most popular post so far i thought i would come back for round 2. As i said in my last post these are things that i wear the most, use the most and repurchase the most. To me these little gem's are worth every penny an i must admit i certainly get my moneys worth.

My Most Worn......

Eyeshadow Palette

This is my rather battered and bruised Urban Decay Naked Palette, i got this palette about 2 years ago and its become a staple in my every day makeup routine and as you can tell its very well used. I love the fact it can take you from day to night, from something subtle to something smokey, the shades are right up my street and the pigmentation is great even the lasting power is amazing. I will put all the shade descriptions below going from left to right:

Virgin: A satin champagne shade. Great for using as a highlight, I've hit pan on this shade.

Sin: A gorgeous warm shimmery champagne colour, I've also hit pan on this shade.

Naked: A matte Nude .

Sidecar: A coppery champagne colour with a hit of rose gold shimmer to it.

Buck: A matte soft brown.

Half Baked: A very pretty gold colour, kind of like MAC Amberlights.

Smog: A metallic bronze.

Darkhorse: A deep metallic brown.

Toasted: A reddened champagne.

Hustle: A deep metallic taupe.

Creep: A shimmery black.

Gunmetal: A deep shimmery grey.

Brows Palette

This is my beloved HD Brows Palette in 'Foxy', i received this palette in a Glossy Box a long time ago and at the time i never even bothered filling in my eyebrows as i didn't think it made much of a difference to me however, after playing around with this palette i was converted into using it everyday to fill in my brows ,as you can see I've hit pan on my brow colour ' Ash Brown' as its 100% the correct colour for my brows and makes them look natural and full. This palette also doubles up as an eyeshadow palette which is great as you can make a really nice soft smokey eye out of this, all round i couldn't live without this baby.

Jeans

Jeans have always been a massive problem for me as I'm quite short with a curvaceous figure  and have never been able to find that pair of jeans that just fit me correctly let alone being nice and comfortable, because of this I've always lived in leggings and jeggings or worn awful jeans that do nothing for my figure. One day when i was out shopping with my mum i decided to pop into Topshop and just have a quick look at their jean section, my mum convinced me to try some of the Leigh jeans on and like usual i had the ' they wont be any good ' attitude, as i started to try them on i honestly couldn't believe it, they where perfect. I love the fact you can shop for your leg length and your waist size in inches, they are a super soft lightweight denim and have a cute little turn up hem at the bottom, they are £38 a pair but are worth every single penny. I love them.

I hope you enjoyed another instalment of my most worn treasures, i will be doing more of these type of blog post's so be sure to check them out too.
