February Beauty Favourites!

Hey beaut's!

Thankfully February went a lot quicker than January, my goodness that was a long month wasnt it. I've been wishing February away to be honest, I've been waiting to take my final weeks holiday from work before the new working year starts, that week has now arrived and I have a lovely week off with my boyfriend as of now and I'm so excited about it.

Anyway I'm going to kick this months favourites off with the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer. This stuff is like bloody gold dust, I was going into every Superdrug for weeks trying to track this beauty down in my shade but finally I got my paws on shades C1 and C3 to try. So far I'm really impressed with the concealer and can see why it's been so ruddy popular, the coverage is great, it's so creamy and just melts into the skin, I'll be doing a full review soon so watch this space. Sticking with base makeup Rimmel's Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation has been my go to for the last few weeks, it's so lightweight that it honestly feels like I'm wearing nothing, the coverage isn't to heavy making it the perfect day to day foundation for me.
Scent wise, Zoella's Blissful Mistful has been keeping me smelling lovely even if I do say so myself, I actually only got this scent in January but have been obsessed ever since and I think it's my favourite scent Zoe does, it super fresh and floral and I can see myself wearing it loads through Spring! Ok... I'm actually head over heels in love with Benefit's KA-BROW Brow Pomade, I've always been a brow powder/pencil kinda gal but this Benefit pomade has been a game changer and really upped my brow game, it somehow just transforms my brows making them look absolutely perfect, I don't know how it does it but I LOVE it! For my nails I've been loving  a couple of nail paints by good ole Bazza M, the shades Strawberry Laces and Pink tail have been perfect for me whilst I'm transitioning from my Winter shades to more Spring appropriate shades because I'm longing for Spring now!
My final favourite this months is my Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette! I love this palette so much and it never leaves my makeup bag, not only is the shade range amazing for any occasion day or night but the quality of these shadows is incredible, and it still smells super yummy and peachy even though I've had my palette 2 years now!

What have you been loving this month beaut's? I'd love to know!

Rimmel #Insta Fix & Go Setting Spray Review!

Hey beaut's!

Makeup setting sprays and priming sprays are huge in the world of beauty right now and I for one am a total addict of them, priming sprays always make such a different in how my foundation looks on my skin and setting sprays... well they just keep everything set and looking fresh throughout the entire day don't they. So many brands are jumping on the setting spray bandwagon now and I'm definitely down for trying them all, I don't know why but I seem to be obsessed with trying every setting spray I see in Superdrug or Boots, and one I've been putting to the test recently is Rimmel's offering - the #Insta Fix & Go!
Rimmel's #Insta Fix & Go is a two for the price of one kind of product, not only does is claim to set and lock in your makeup but it can be used to prime the skin too, you cant beat getting two products in one can you! I have to say pretty much straight away I loved this stuff, it does exactly what it says on the tin or should I say spray bottle and does a fantastic job at keeping my makeup in place all day, it's also great if you've gone a little bit OOT on the powder products because it reduces that cakey, over powdered look without leaving you oily a few hours later! As for priming... it does create a beautiful dewy base to work on, personally I love going in with my foundation straight away when the spray is still wet on my face, it seems to do something magical and makes my foundation look so smooth and flawless on my skin, I love it!

The spray itself is super lightweight and cant be detected once it's set on the skin which takes seconds, it never feels sticky or tacky and I never feel like I have a film layer over my makeup either which gives this lots of sparkly points from me. Another thing I love about the #Insta Fix & Go is that it has the most gorgeous, refreshing cucumber scent which to be honest makes all the difference, other sprays I've used are un-scented so this makes a lovely change. If your looking for a good setting spray that wont break the bank then I cant recommend the #Insta Fix & Go enough, I've been totally obsessed with my bottle!

You can find the Rimmel #Insta Fix & Go Setting Spray for £6.99 HERE.

My Favourite Foundations For The Summer!

Hey beaut's!

During the Summer months I love a good lightweight foundation that's going to hold up well in the warmer weather and still have that dewy look to it. I know matte foundations are preferred by lots during the warmer weather but I have dryer skin so something more dewy always works best for me so today I thought I'd talk all about my favourites!

Rimmel foundations are incredible, their so affordable but amazing in quality too! Their Match Perfection Foundation has been re-purchased by me countless times, it has a weightless, smooth texture and medium-buildable coverage that blends with the skins real tone instead of masking it, it literally evens everything out whilst making me look completely radiant, I love it. Another favourite of mine from Rimmel in the Summer is their 9 in1 BB Cream. This stuff is incredible, it feels light enough to be some sort of skincare product - you literally cant feel it on your skin at all, it minimises the appearance of pores, smooths, brightens, conceals and covers, contains SPF 25, lasts all day and is literally heaven in a bottle!
Keeping with foundations from the drugstore L'Oreal's Lumi Magique is lovely, it's great for dryer skin types like mine and it's light infusing which means it gives luminosity to the skin and really adds a beautiful subtle glow which I love in the Summer. The formula is very light weight, silky soft, blends into the skin well and provides hydration all day which is perfect for me. Moving onto something slightly more pricey - MAC's Face and Body! I think this foundation is pretty much a staple in most makeup lovers collection, it's literally as light as water on the skin, super dewy and healthy looking and even though the coverage is very light it builds up so well until you get the coverage you desire, perfect if you've got a tan and just want to even things out slightly! Finally theres Joan Collins First Base Foundation. This is my current go to foundation at the moment, it has a medium coverage, it smooths over my pores and fine lines whilst still feeling super lightweight and comfortable on my skin, it has a natural finish with a glow that never looks heavy or cakey and I've not experienced any clinging to my dry patches either, it literally perfect for me!

What's your favourite foundation to wear in the Summer? I'd love to know!

July Beauty Favourites!

Hey beaut's!

It's monthly favourites time....I cant quite believe another month has whizzed past already, it's crazy how quick the time goes! I must admit I'm kind of over Summer now, I've never really been a Summer girl to be honest, I'm all about Autumn and Winter, how about you?
This month I have a whole heap of new finds that have quickly turned into favourites, firstly I have to talk all about my beautiful Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette! Now I know this is a bit of cheat because I've only been using the Heat Palette for just over a week now but I couldn't not feature it because it's the best thing I've put on my eyeballs in July hands down! It's crammed full of stunning warm tones that will see me through the rest of Summer and then the Autumn and the quality is amazing, check out my first impressions and swatches HERE beaut's! For lips I've been obsessed with the Kylie Jenner Liquid Lipstick in Candy K, this is such a stand out liquid lipstick for me because it isn't super drying like the other liquid lippies I have, it lasts like nothing else - I'm talking all day through eating, drinking, kissing and the colour is the prettiest pinky nude which is right up my street. Base makeup wise the Joan Collins First Base Foundation teamed with the PUR Skin Perfecting Foundation Brush is like a match made in heaven for me. The foundation is just beautiful, it has a medium coverage, it smooths over my pores and fine lines whilst still feeling super lightweight and comfortable on my skin, it has a natural finish with a glow that never looks heavy or cakey and I've not experienced any clinging to my dry patches either, it literally perfect for me! The PUR oval brush though (insert love heart eyes emoji), it's literally the best thing I've ever blended my foundation in with, I'm talking flawless blending in about 5 seconds, it's incredible! My final favourite this month is the Rimmel #Insta Fix & Go Makeup Priming & Setting Spray, I love a good makeup spray and Rimmel's offering keeps things set and looking cake-free all day, I love it!

Blogmas Day 5 - My Top 5 Christmas Red Lipsticks

Hey beaut's!

And welcome to Blogmas day five...Now I absolutely adore a red lip however I don't wear them I huge amount throughout the year unless I'm going out somewhere fancy however....Because it's basically Christmas I have pulled out all of my favourite red lipsticks and have been wearing them with pride, I mean you've just got to embrace a red lip throughout December don't you. So today I thought I would share with you all my top five red lippies going from the more affordable all the way up to one higher end priced lippie.
1. First up is Makeup Revolutions Lipstick in Ruby which is an absolute bargain at just £1.00 wowza! Ruby is simply stunning, its a classic bright red shade with hints on pink running through it, it doesn't contain any shimmers at all and has a creamy finish, this one looks amazing teamed with dramatic black winged liner.

2. Secondly and another one by Makeup Revolution is their Rose Gold lipstick in Red Carpet. Red Carpet is a gorgeous pillow box red shade that would be the perfect night out lipstick over the party season because it's so glamorous and would go hand in hand with an LBD, plus the packaging is so stunning that you wouldn't mind having it in your clutch bag for any top ups. The formula of these rose gold lipstick by Makeup Revolution are gorgeous too, really creamy and highly pigmented with a satin finish.

3. Next up is Rimmels Kate Moss lipstick in 01, this is actually my second bullet of this because I used it so much last year I had to recently repurchase another to wear this year. Kate's 01 tends to be my everyday wear red lipstick throughout December because I find it's not too vampy or dramatic but is still a beautiful true red shade.

4. My next pick is L'Oreals Color Riche Lipstick in Place Vendome, this is such a beautiful, rich, red wine red. If you haven't tried any of the L'Oreal Colour Riche lipstick before then your missing out, the formula is stunning, their so creamy, long lasting and super pigmented, I love this one.

5. Lastly but in no means least is the only luxury red lipstick I own MAC's Viva Glam I. Viva Glam I is a deep, vampy red shade with brown undertones and has a lovely matte finish. This is the red lip that I will be rocking to any Christmas parties because it just looks so dramatic on me and is such a statement lip, it is so beautiful though and definitely one to have stored away in your MAC lipstick collection!
Whats your favourite red lipstick to wear over the festive season beaut's? I'd love to know?

Beauty Christmas Crackers 2016

Hey beaut's!

Their are sooooo many beauty Christmas crackers out this year, brands have seriously upped their game and I'm loving them all so much that I just had to share my top picks with you all today. Personally I think beauty crackers work amazingly well as stocking fillers or for secret Santa gifts, their all super festive because of their cracker design, reasonably priced and still great little gifts at the same time that most beauty lovers would enjoy. I also love how you can now get full boxes of crackers too, I think these are great if your hosting a Christmas meal with your best friends a bit before Christmas, they just make such a nice change to normal crackers done they. My favourites out of this bunch would have to be the Essie nail polish cracker and the Soap and Glory set of crackers. The Essie cracker contains four full size nail polishes in gorgeous wintry shades perfect for the festive/party season, theres even a glitter shade within the four too, and the Soap and Glory set contains 6 crackers with a mini Soap and Glory favourite inside, theres a mini hand cream, foot cream, a couple of shower gels, a body scrub and a body butter, how amazing is that!

August Beauty Wishlist

Hey beaut's!

It's wish list time again....This month theres quite a few new launches that I just NEED in my life! Firstly and probably the things I'm most excited about is the new Real Techniques Beauty Sponges, Real Techniques have launched a Miracle Sculpting Sponge, a two pack of mini sponges and their very first Bold Metals Sponge, all of which look amazing and I want them all so much! LO'real have recently added three new face masks into their skincare line and the Pure Clay one has my name on it he he. I have also been loving NYX recently, it's so great that Boots have stands now so we can all go in store and look at the makeup in person, theres a few things that caught my eye the other day such as their Liquid Illuminator, Warm Neutrals Palette and the Sculpt and Highlight Duo. Other things I really want to try are the Sinful Colors Kylie Jenner nail polishes, the Soap and Glory Shower jellies and the new cream blushes by Rimmel.

My Top 5 Lip Liners

Hey beaut's!

I've been slightly addicted to using lip liners over the last few months or so which is strange for me really because I never used to use them before, since using them though I have noticed a huge difference in the appearance of my chosen lip of the day. A lip liner not only creates a fantastic, long lasting base for your lipsticks but it makes everything look a lot more precise and neat and stops lipsticks bleeding which can be a right pain especially with red lippies. So today I thought I'd share with you all my five favourite lip liners from the drugstore/high street!
First up is the Essence Lip Liner in 06 Satin Mauve. I honestly cant rave about the Essence Lip Liners enough, they are only £1.00 each and the quality is amazing! As the name would suggest Satin Mauve is indeed a pretty shade of dark mauve which creates the perfect base for any darker mauve/plum toned lipsticks, it's super creamy making it very easy to work with and blends like a dream without being harsh.

Then I have the NYX Slide On Lip Liner in Bedrose (£5.50). I bought Bedrose to go with my MAC Mehr Lipstick and they do really work beautifully together and the formula is insanely good too. If your looking for a good lip liner then I'd highly recommend one of the NYX pencils, Bedrose is matte but super creamy which means it applies and blends in with lipsticks like a dream, it's also waterproof which makes it super long lasting.

Next up is the Barry M Lip Liner in #15 Rose (£2.99). I wanted to pick up this shade because it's meant to be an exact dupe of MAC's Soar Lip Liner which I've been after for ages. As far as lip liners go I think Barry M done a bloody good job here, Rose is so velvety soft to apply whilst still being firm enough to create precise lines and the texture is stunning! I'm after shades 16 and 17 next which I can tell are popular shades as they are constantly sold out, I will get them in the end though he he.

Then lastly I have two lip liners from Rimmel, firstly the 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in Spice and secondly the Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob. Spice is a great one for the more neutral lip looks and has a slightly more firm texture and doesn't have much movement, and Eastend Snob is a lot more creamy and blendable and is another dupe for MAC's Soar.
Overall I'd highly recommend these little beauties, the quality of them all is amazing and they are all so affordable yet effective!

What are your favourite lip liners beaut's? I'd love to know!

Lip of the Day!

Hey beaut's!

You may have seen that a few weeks ago I done a post all about my 'Base of the Day', I wanted to do something a little different from a face of the day post so I basically shared the products that I'd used that day to create my perfect base. So following on from my Base of the Day post I thought today I'd share with you all my lip combo of the day!

Today I opted for one of the newer lipsticks in my collection and now one of my favourites and that is Mac's Faux. Faux is a gorgeous muted mauve-pink with a satin finish which I find is the perfect shade for everyday wear and goes well with any makeup look, I love it! I also love the fact that Faux has a satin finish because that's my absolute favourite finish, I find that satins just look so polished and perfect on the lips and are neither glossy or matte but somewhere in between and aren't drying at all.

To line my lips I used Rimmel's Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob, I bought this ages ago as I heard it was a dupe for Mac's Soar Lip Liner and have been in love with it ever since I bought it, it's absolutley gorgeous! I used this just to perfect' the shape of my lips really and make my lips slightly more pouty looking, I didn't actually fill my entire lip in with this liner because I find Faux lasts on my lips a really long time anyway. If you haven't tried Eastend Snob before I highly recommend you getting it, trust me beaut's you'll love it!

January Beauty Favourites ♥

Hey beaut's!

Its that time again.... Monthly favourites time!!! How has the start of 2016 been for you all? I cant quite believe how quick January is whizzing past, it honestly scares me that the months go by so quickly! Is anyone else not feeling this cold winter weather anymore? Don't get me wrong I loved Autumn and the festive build up but I'm totally over winter now, bring on the Spring, warm sunshine, blue sky's and pretty flowers ha ha. Anywhoo onto what I've been loving this month beauty wise!

Trevor Sorbie Keratin + Argan Magnetic Multi-Wand
I'm kicking things off this month with a hair favourite, the Trevor Sorbie Keratin + Argan Magnetic Multi-Wand! I actually got this curling wand for Christmas from my boyfriends parents and have been obsessed with it ever since, I just love the fact that you get the 3 different attachments to create a multitude of different types of waves and curls and it's so easy to use because you simply just wrap your hair around the wand, I love it!

Collection #BlushAndGlow Palette
I finally got my hands on the Collection #BlushAndGlow Palette a few weeks ago and it hasn't left my makeup bag since, it contains a matte bronzer, matte pink blusher, shimmering pink blusher and a neutral highlighter all of which work amazingly well and blend out beautifully, and it's only £4.99 which is incredible! For some reason in my picture the bronzer looks a lot darker than it actually is but I've been using it everyday to contour and bronze with and the blusher underneath the highlighter has been my go to everyday too.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation
I recently got my L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation back out of my makeup stash because it's great for dryer skin types and my skin has really been feeling the effects of the colder weather recently. The foundation itself is light infusing which means it gives luminosity to the skin and really adds a beautiful subtle glow. The formula is gorgeous, its very light weight, silky soft, blends into the skin well and provides hydration all day and is generally really lovely and peps your skin up on a gloomy day.

Real Techniques Bold Metals Angled Powder Brush
The Real Techniques Bold Metals Angled Powder Brush has been a firm favourite of mine this month, the bristles are just so full and very soft which makes it the ideal brush for setting my base makeup into place, it picks up powders easily and lightly and blends onto the skin without leaving behind a horrible layer of powder. I've also been using this brush with my Collection bronzer (above), I love a huge brush to bronze with and I find the Angled Powder Brush blends out bronzer an absolute dream leaving me with a nice even glow.

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel
To be totally honest I've been completely obsessed with all things Lush for the past few months and have been using their bubble bars/bath bombs in every bath I've had, but one thing I've continued to use over and over during January is the Snow Fairy Shower Gel. The Snow Fairy Shower Gel just smells incredible, it literally fills my bathroom with its sweet, bubblegum, candy floss scent and makes my skin smell just as scrummy ha ha. I'm annoyed that I've nearly used mine up because the thought of waiting until Christmas again to get some more is horrible.

Lancôme Grandiose Mascara
The Lancôme Grandiose Mascara is rather lovely and I've been obsessed with it the past few weeks, it literally creates full, fanned out, separated lashes and I find the brush itself is such a great shape and size for my smaller eyes so it's quite easy and quick to use for me personally. The staying power is on point without any smudging or running and it doesn't clump up what so ever.

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob

Lastly this month I've been in love with this Rimmel lip liner in East End Snob, it's more or less the exact same shade of my MAC Brave Lipstick which is my all time favourite lipstick and the combination of the two is just dreamy. I've been lining and filling in my lips with East End Snob then going over the top with Mac's Brave and then I'm good to go all day, arhhh I love it.

What have you been loving this month beaut's?? I'd love to know

Autumn/Winter Beauty Essentials ♥

Hey beaut's!

Being the Autumn/Winter lover that I am I couldn't resist doing a post dedicated to some of the beauty products that I know are going to be well loved by me this season. Firstly I love to have a nice moisturised, dewy looking base and Garnier's Moisture Match in Goodbye Dry is a must for me, I went through two tubes of the stuff last year and it was the only daily moisturiser that kept my face completely moisturised throughout then entire Autumn/Winter so I'd highly recommend that. For foundation and concealer I find Rimmel are always a winner, their Match Perfection Foundation is gorgeous and so luminous and the Wake Me Up Concealer really brightens up that under eye area on the dull winters mornings! For the eyeballs the Urban Decay Naked Palette is a must have, it contains all the shades you'll need for the Autumn/Winter including the gorgeous gold shade Half Baked which I tend use to death at this time of year to create a gold smokey eye. If your looking for something more quick to use and affordable the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate is great!

Next up is that pout... It's essential to look after your lips over the colder month's as they are prone to getting dry, flaky and chapped when it's freezing cold. I love to use a good scrub like the Lush Lip Scrubs often as they not only put some well needed moister back into my lips but it will remove any dry flaky patches and prepare a nice base for my chosen lippy. Lip Balm and a berry toned lip is also a must during the cooler months and my current favourites are the Burt's Bees Lip Balm and the Revlon ColorStay Moisture Lip Stain in Parisian PassionFinally you have to keep that body moisturised because the colder climate can really take its tole on your skin and I find Soap and Glory always help me when it comes to skincare. Their Righteous Butter is so thick and creamy and just melts into the skin and their Hand Food hand cream is my handbag essential because my poor hands really suffer when its cold!Autumn/Winter Beauty Essentials

Nailbox Review | The UK's First Nail Polish Subscription Box ♥

Hi beaut's!

Today I have something very exciting to share with you all, and let me tell ya any nail polish addicts out there are going to love it! Move over generic beauty subscription boxes, Nailbox is in town. Nailbox* is a brand new monthly subscription box service that focuses solely on all things nails, they only launched in April but I think their off to a flying start and I find this concept genius!
Each Nailbox is dispatched on or around the 21st of each month and will contain a total of 5 items; 3-4 full-size nail polishes and 1-2 tools, all of which will be well known brands such as Essie, Orly and OPI among other favourites. The shades of the nail polishes that you will receive in each box will always be bang on trend and go with the current season, which personally I thinks as amazing idea as nobody wants to receive a dark, dreary shade during Spring/Summer do they.

I was lucky enough to receive May's Nailbox to review a little early and I absolutely LOVE every single nail polish brand and shade that I received. Here's the low down....

♥ Orly-Fiery Orange RRP £9.50
A sheer bright orange shade that's  packed with holographic hex glitters and micro string glitter. Perfect to use as a glittery top coat over a plain orange shade or you can use it on it's own but it needs 3 coats for complete opacity .
♥ Essie-Status Symbol RRP £7.99 ♥
A creamy and feisty hot pink  shade perfect for the Summer! It's completely opaque in 2 quick coats.
♥ Rimmel 60 Seconds -Lucky Lilac RRP £2.99

A dark lilac shade that still has a pastel vibe about it, perfect to wear now during the Spring and is opaque after 2 coats.
♥ Nicole by OPI-Alex by the Books RRP £7.99
A creamy mint green shade that's absolutely gorgeous to wear during Spring time, It was completely opaque after the 1 coat and the formula is to die for as well .
♥ Elegant Touch Professional Cuticle Pusher & Nail Cleaner RRP £9.50 ♥
This is an amazing little dual ended nail cleaning tool, it has a rounded, slightly sharpened edge at one end to help remove dirt from under the nails, and a cuticle pusher at the other end which has a rounded spatula shape perfect for pushing back softened cuticles and dry skin.
The price of the box per month is between £13.50 and £15.00. You can either choose to sign up to Nailbox for a whole year and your box will be slightly cheaper at £13.50 per month, or you can pay £15.00 month-to-month which then allows you to give the box a test run with the option to cancel whenever you want.

Overall I think this is a fantastic idea and a great take on a subscription box, whether your nail polish addict or a beginner your nail's will definitely love this little monthly treat!

What do you think of Nailbox beaut's?? Will you be trying it out fr yourself?? I'd love to know!!
