Revolution Fast Base Concealer Review!

Hey beaut's!

Revolution have been killing it with their base makeup launches recently and it's fair to say us makeup loving guys and gals have been all over the new goodies like a rash , I adored their Conceal & Define Concealer so when I saw that they had launched a new concealer called Fast Base I popped down to Superdug and picked one up straight away!
The Revolution Fast Base Concealer claims to highlight, brighten and banish under eye circles fast, this claim really lured me in because I suffer really badly with dark under eyes so anything that might help them disappear I'm all for trying! And oh my godddddd beaut's, I bloody love this stuff!
The formula of concealer is absolutely stunning and ticks all the concealer boxes for me in terms of covering dark circles, it's lightweight, super creamy and hydrating, blends in-in seconds, has a beautiful medium but buildable coverage, has a semi-matte finish that is never drying and doesn't cling to any dry patches at all, it lasts really well and doesn't crease on me at all or go cakey! As I said it literally ticks all the boxes for me and does an amazing job at brighting up my under eyes, I love it so much more than the Conceal & Define concealer, and that's really saying something because I really like that concealer too. The shade range is fab, theres 14 shades available ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones, I have the shade C2 which is for fair skin tones with a neutral undertone, realistically I needed a shade with pink undertones but of course that was out of stock because this stuff sells like hot cakes but C2 actually works perfectly fine for me!
The only negative I have to say is about the packaging where the concealer dispenses, it has a twist-up mechanism which you twist and the concealer comes out of the little cushion applicator, that part of the packaging is fine, the applicator is lovely and soft and allows you to easily dot the product under your eyes but my goodness does the lid and around the cushion applicator get grubby, my concealer looks absolutely gross now so just bare that in mind!

You can find the Revolution Fast Base Concealer for £5.00 HERE.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer Review

Hey beaut's!

When Makeup Revolution drop a new release it's fair to say us makeup loving gals cant wait to get in on the action and the launch of their Conceal & Define Concealer was no different, in fact this new Makeup Rev concealer was like bloody gold dust to get hold of, it took me weeks to get the shades I wanted to try but after going into four different Superdrug stores and constant online stalking I finally managed to nab a couple to try, I even done a happy dance when the concealers where in my paws hehe!

The one thing that really stood out for me about this concealer before I had even tried it was the fact it comes in a whopping 18 shades ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones. I think that's chuffing amazing for a budget concealer and I really praise Makeup Revolution for doing this. I think more brands need to follow suit to be honest. I have the shades C1 and C3, C1 is the lightest concealer within the shade range and is for fair skin tones with neutral undertones and C3 is the third shade within the collection and for fair skin tones with pink undertones. Both concealers match me pretty well, C3 is the perfect match to be honest because I have a pink undertone, C1 is quite light but works amazingly at brightening and highlighting.
On to the concealer itself....was there any truth in the hype....YES!! I absolutely love this stuff, it has such a creamy, blendable formula that just melts into my skin with ease and despite having really good coverage and a matte finish it never looks or feels heavy or cakey underneath my eyes. I've found a little really blends a long way too, when I first used this concealer I painted loads on and it was far too much, literally a couple of dots underneath my eyes is all I need to cover my horrendous dark circles. I'm not really sure how this concealer would work on acne or spots as I haven't had any spots to test them on but if the coverage underneath my eyes is anything to go by then I'm sure it will work pretty well.
The concealer does have a HUGE doe foot applicator which is 'dare I say it' a little OTT but does get the job done and doesn't drag on my skin whilst I'm using it! And I love the packaging, I'm like a magpie when it comes to rose gold or copper tones so this packaging is right up my street!
Overall I think for £4.00 you really cant go wrong with this concealer, theres honestly nothing I don't like about it and it seems to work for me perfectly, and the fact theres so many shades to choose from makes me super happy!

February Beauty Favourites!

Hey beaut's!

Thankfully February went a lot quicker than January, my goodness that was a long month wasnt it. I've been wishing February away to be honest, I've been waiting to take my final weeks holiday from work before the new working year starts, that week has now arrived and I have a lovely week off with my boyfriend as of now and I'm so excited about it.

Anyway I'm going to kick this months favourites off with the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer. This stuff is like bloody gold dust, I was going into every Superdrug for weeks trying to track this beauty down in my shade but finally I got my paws on shades C1 and C3 to try. So far I'm really impressed with the concealer and can see why it's been so ruddy popular, the coverage is great, it's so creamy and just melts into the skin, I'll be doing a full review soon so watch this space. Sticking with base makeup Rimmel's Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation has been my go to for the last few weeks, it's so lightweight that it honestly feels like I'm wearing nothing, the coverage isn't to heavy making it the perfect day to day foundation for me.
Scent wise, Zoella's Blissful Mistful has been keeping me smelling lovely even if I do say so myself, I actually only got this scent in January but have been obsessed ever since and I think it's my favourite scent Zoe does, it super fresh and floral and I can see myself wearing it loads through Spring! Ok... I'm actually head over heels in love with Benefit's KA-BROW Brow Pomade, I've always been a brow powder/pencil kinda gal but this Benefit pomade has been a game changer and really upped my brow game, it somehow just transforms my brows making them look absolutely perfect, I don't know how it does it but I LOVE it! For my nails I've been loving  a couple of nail paints by good ole Bazza M, the shades Strawberry Laces and Pink tail have been perfect for me whilst I'm transitioning from my Winter shades to more Spring appropriate shades because I'm longing for Spring now!
My final favourite this months is my Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette! I love this palette so much and it never leaves my makeup bag, not only is the shade range amazing for any occasion day or night but the quality of these shadows is incredible, and it still smells super yummy and peachy even though I've had my palette 2 years now!

What have you been loving this month beaut's? I'd love to know!

L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD High Definition Concealer Review

Hey beaut's!

I'm a bit of a concealer addict, I'm always on the hunt for something that's going to hide my hideous dark circles in the mornings and recently I've been giving the ever so popular L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD High Definition Concealer a whirl, wow that's a mouthful!

The L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD High Definition Concealer comes in a whopping 27 shades including their colour correcting shades which is pretty impressive, theres certainly a shade to suit everyone that's for sure. I got the shade Porcelain which is the lightest shade within the collection, it's fair with yellow undertones and really brightens up my under eye area as well as concealing at the same time which is just what I look for in an under eye concealer. Formula wise.. its creamy with a medium-full buildable coverage and leaves a semi-matte finish which stays put really well, once this concealer has set that's it, theres no budging it what so ever, it literally doesn't move or crease on me all day which is amazing. Application wise I do find its best blended in using the warmth of my finger tips, I did try and use my beauty blender and a makeup brush but I found it didn't blend into the skin very well that way, but using my fingers achieved such a flawless finish.
Overall I'm loving this concealer, I'd highly recommend Porcelain if your looking for a bright under eye concealer that covers, brightens and stays well, I feel like this would be a great concealer for blemishes too because that coverage and staying power is great, however my Porcelain shade was too bright for my blemishes, I definitely want to get a couple of the other shades for that purpose and for contouring too because the formula is just lush.

Have you tried the L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD High Definition Concealer beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know

April Beauty Favourites ♥

Hey beaut's!

Its that time again.... Monthly favourites time! I cant quite believe how quick April has whizzed past, I know I probably say that every month but it honestly scares me that the months go by so quickly! I don't have too many favourites this month mainly because a lot of them where the same as last month and I've only really switched a couple of products up this month, plus I was ill a few weeks back so putting makeup on was the least of my worries he he! Anywhoo onto the few things I've been loving this month beauty wise!

Firstly this month I have fallen completely in love with Barry M's new Coconut Infusion Nails Paints, they are made with a whole new formulation that blends together both coconut water and coconut oil to gently hydrate and nourish the nails, how awesome is that! I have three shades from the collection so far but my favourite and most worn is Aloha, it's a gorgeous a hot pink that wears beautifully, arhhh I love it so much!

Next is the stunning GWA (Girls With Attitude) Makeup Brushes, I actually won six of these a few months back on a Twitter giveaway and have been completely obsessed with them since I got them. Not only do they look gorgeous with their purple ombre bristles, rose gold accents and wooden handles but the quality is amazing too, I definitely want to grow my collection of these.

I've been loving theBalm's Mary Lou Manizer and it fast became a must in my everyday makeup routine, it's just absolutely stunning and packs an all mighty highlighted punch, I honestly think people on space could see the glow from my cheekbones when I'm wearing this baby ha ha!

For concealer it's been all about Rimmel's Match Perfection for me, the formula is just amazing, it's so lightweight, great coverage, long lasting and doesn't crease under my eye area at all, I cant believe I waiting so long to try it!

For blush and bronzer this month I've been reaching for my Benefit Hoola and Rockateur from my Real Cheeky Party Blushing Beauty Kit that I got last Christmas, Hoola is such a great bronzer to bronze and contour with on my skin tone and Rockateur is the most beautiful deep dusky rose blusher. I forgot how much I actually loved this palette, it literally sees me through all the seasons too!

You may be shocked at my brow favourite this month, it isn't my holy grail HD Brows Kit.... SAY WHATTTT! I decided to buy Freedom Makeup's Duo Brow Powder in Taupe recently because my HD Brows Kit is coming to an end and I hear such good things about Freedom Makeup brow products as they are supposed to be good dupes of Anastasia Beverly Hills. After giving this brow duo a whirl over the last few weeks I'm so impressed, it works amazingly and blends with my brow hairs so naturally and Freedoms shade range is literally on point, theres so many to choose from and Taupe matched up to me so well! Best of these little duo's are only £3.00 each, beauty bargain alert!

My last favourite this month is my trusty Vichy Idealia Eyes Cream! This is such a good eye cream, when I use it I notice the skin around my eyes is silky smooth and more plump which makes my eye makeup sit more comfortably and most importantly theres no concealer creasing which is just brill... My dark circles also appear reduced as the illuminators within the cream instantly make my eyes appear more awake and fresh in the mornings, it's really moisturising too! I'd highly recommend this if your looking for an amazing eye cream!

What have you been loving this month beaut's?? I'd love to know

Base of the Day!

Hey beaut's!

I thought I'd do something a bit different on the blog today and share my base makeup products of the day, so instead of a face of the day post sharing me entire makeup routine this post is just going to focus on my base makeup items. Oddly I've never done anything like this on my blog before so please do tell me if you'd like to see more of these style of posts in the future!

The first thing I pop onto my skin is my Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Cream (review HERE), I very rarely wear a primer unless its something very dewy like L'Oreal's Lumi Magique Primer because I don't really suffer with oily skin or have problems with my makeup not lasting, however this strobe cream just creates a nice base to work on top of and creates that glow from within look which I love. For foundation I've been reaching for the Revlon Colourstay Foundation for normal/dry skin, it just has such an amazing medium to full coverage formula that's easy to blend, long lasting and super lightweight on my skin, I'd highly recommend giving this beauty a go if you haven't already!

To conceal my dreadful under eye area I've been using the Miss Sporty Perfect Stay 10 Hour Concealer in Light, I've actually been testing this out recently and really enjoy using it, the coverage isn't as high as my holy grail Collection Lasting Perfection but this does still do a good job of covering what I need for a good period of time. To set my concealer into place I've been using my Maybelline Fit Me! Pressed Powder in Classic Ivory, theres not too much to say about this as it does the same job as most pressed powders but it sets my concealer into place all day without looking powdery or cakey, I'd actually really recommend the Fit Me! range by Maybelline as everything I've tried from it has been really good!

To add some shape into my face I have been addicted to my Collection #BlushAndGlow Palette, which if you haven't tried you certainly need too. I use the matte bronzer shade to bronze up my skin and also to contour, it blends out beautifully without looking muddy or patchy and I also use the shimmering pink blusher to add a slight dewy flush to the cheeks which again blends out a dream. Lastly for my base I like to go to town with highlighting and theBalm's Mary Lou Manizer is now a must in my routine for this, it's just absolutely stunning and packs an all mighty highlighted punch he he!

What are your base makeup heroes at the moment beaut's? I'd love to know!

Freedom Makeup Pro Correct Palette Review ♥

Hi beaut's!

You may have seen that back in June we said a big hello a new makeup brand in town named Freedom Makeup. I've actually been using quite a few their makeup products recently and have been super impressed by the quality, one product in particular that I've been obsessed with which I didn't think I would be too fond at first  is their Pro Correct Palette, so I thought I'd review it in full for you all today.

The Freedom Makeup Pro Correct Palette* (£5.00)  is described as being a “Makeup Artist’s Secret Weapon” and contains 6 rectangular shaped correctors that are to be used underneath your makeup to conceal, tone and illuminate the skin leaving you with a nice even base to start your face makeup.
Each funky shade within the Pro Correct Palette has a specific use, the Yellow is perfect for hiding purple and blue under eye circles, veins and can help lighten dark complexions. The Purple shade is great for eliminating any unwanted yellow undertones on your skin, so if you suffer with a pasty, dull, yellow complexion you will love this purple concealer shade. The Green shade neutralises the colour red, so if you have any redness on your face or an annoying zit and any acne scars this shade will really help you out. The Pink/Salmon shade is ideal for brightening around the eye area and masking signs of fatigue, great when the signs of a rough nights sleep really show he he. The Orange shade is perfect for people with darker skin tones looking to hide dark circles or other spots with deep discolouration. And lastly the White shade within the palette is great for highlighting and adds natural luminosity to the complexion.
I really have been loving this little palette, each colour does a great job of what's its been made to do and they are all super creamy and blend out a dream. My most used shades are the Yellow and the Green, I have such dark under eye circles in the mornings and it usually takes me layering 2 concealers to really get rid of them but when I use the Yellow shade within the Pro Correct Palette it helps soooo much. The Green shade has been a godsend for the redness around my nose in the mornings and due to being slightly hormonal recently I've had a few red, horrid looking spots that I've just wanted to banish a this little palette has really helped me out.
Overall I think the Freedom Makeup Pro Correct Palette is absolutely fabulous and for just £5.00 you really cant go wrong, what a beauty bargain he he. The only negative I would have to say about this palette isn't about the product itself (because I loveeee it) but that there is no directions on or within the palette that explains how to use each shade, if I was a beginner to makeup I honestly wouldn't have a clue how to use this palette so it's quite lucky that I'm a makeup addict and know how to use each shade already.

What do you think of the Freedom Makeup Pro Correct Palette beaut's?? Will you be buying it?? I'd love to know.

Don't forget I'm currently giving away two Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick's, you can enter the HERE.

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer Review

Hey beaut's!

You may remember that back in January I posted a Small Beauty Haul and within that haul was Maybelline's Eraser Eye Concealer in Nude, I'd heard so many good things about this concealer via YouTube and the Blogging community but getting my hands on one of these little concealers was almost impossible, it's always sold out in Superdrug, Boots and online so when I finally saw the shade Nude in my local Superdrug I quickly nabbed it to try, whether the shade suited me or not ha ha!
The Maybelline Eraser Eye Perfect and Cover Concealer (what a mouthful) comes in a small plastic tube, with a sponge applicator at the top, the concealer is released by turning the tube to the left, you will then hear a click and then you know some of the concealer has be released into the sponge. The idea behind the sponge applicator is that it acts like a beauty blender or makeup brush and is there to blend the concealer seamlessly. I must admit I don't use the sponge for any blending I solely use it for product placement which it does well, it's very soft and distributes the concealer under my eyes evenly, however I will probably remove my sponge soon as it will become very unhygienic, yukky!
The formula of the Maybelline Eraser Eye Perfect and Cover Concealer is lovely, it's enriched with Goji Berry which helps care for the eye area by hydrating, while covering flawlessly and also contains Haloxyl which reduces the look of puffiness and shadows while fading the appearance of under-eye dark circles, it's amazing!
The consistency of the Eraser concealer feels very light and thin on the skin but hydrating and creamy at the same time, it blends out and dream and sets really well to a somewhat dewy finish, without settling into any fine lines which is a major bonus. As for coverage... I'd say it's a medium plus, it does a great job a covering up the darkness underneath and around my eye area and had I managed to get the shade Light instead of Nude I think it would have worked amazingly at brightening up my eyes as well.
Overall I'm realty impressed with Maybelline's Eraser Eye Concealer and its taken the place of my beloved Collection Concealer which really is saying something. I just love how easy the formula is to work with and how luxurious it feels when I'm working with it, it covers so well and does an amazing job at saying 'bye bye' to my dark circles and fine lines. It may be a little pricey at £7,99 and pop but its totally worth it and I'm so happy I finally got my hand on it, now I just need to buy it in the shade Light.

Have you tried Maybelline's Eraser Eye Perfect and Cover Concealer beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!!

Small Makeup/Beauty Haul ♥

Hey beaut's!

I recently went into my local Superdrug and done what us beauty bloggers do best, go in looking for one thing and come out with eight things ha ha, I just couldn't resist a makeup treat or two so today I thought I'd share with you all what I managed to pick up!

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 01 Red Nose Red £5.49 (Two For £10.00 Offer)
The reason I popped into Superdrug was for this little beauty, the Rimmel Kate Limited Edition Lipstick in Red Nose Red! I love the Rimmel Kate Lipstick range so when I saw in a magazine that Kate's No.1 lipstick was having a Red Nose Day makeover I just knew it had to be mine he he. Red Nose Red is a blue toned red which I love, it really has that vintage glam look once its applied to the lips and just looks so beautiful. Another plus is that each lipstick that sold £1.67 is donated straight to Comic Relief so it's definitely worth picking up beaut's!
Rimmel BB Cream in Light £6.99 ( Two for £10.00 Offer)
There was two reasons for me picking this BB Cream up, firstly because Rimmel had a 2 for £10 offer on and secondly because I tried a sample of the BB Cream that came in a Glossybox a while ago and absolutely loved it. The Rimmel BB Cream is a 9-1 Skin Perfecting Super Makeup and I think it will work amazingly during the Spring/Summer months so whilst it was on offer I thought I'd get one to put away. The sample I tried a while back was really nice and I loved the way it made my skin look, it felt like it corrected everything that needed correcting and gave me a nice coverage, whilst feeling and looking very light on the skin, it was lovely!

Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Pink Gold £4.99 (Buy One Get One Half Price Offer)
As I've been thinking alot about the transition from Winter makeup to Spring makeup recently I thought I'd pick up Maybelline's 'Pink Gold' Color Tattoo whilst it was in stock, it always seems out of stock in my Superdrug so it's obviously a popular choice. I really do love the Color Tattoo's and I cant wait to see what Spring makeup looks I can create with this little pretty!

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in Nude £7.99 (Buy One Get One Half Price Offer)
Something else I can never seem to find in any Superdrug or Boots is the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in Light, its even out of stock online so I caved and bought the Nude shade instead as Ive been dying to try the concealer out for ages. I literally tried the concealer the minute I got it home and I really do like it, the coverage is great and I loved the way it sat on my under eye area and never creased at all. Look out for a full review soon beaut's.

L'Oreal Miss Manga Punky Mascara in Black £5.99 (Introduction Offer)

I wanted to find a new drugstore mascara that ticked all of my mascara boxes so I thought I'd give L'Oreal's New Miss Manga Punky a go. It's said that Miss Manga Punky can give you mega volume on your top and bottom lashes and the conical shape of the brush can create an intense spiky effect, it sounds pretty epic doesn't it. So far I've really been enjoying this mascara and I think my love for L'Oreal mascara's might just be back!

Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in Black £2.99
My trusty Collection Felt Tip Liner is on its last legs so this was just a repurchase because it awesome, I cant live without this little beauty in my makeup bag!

Barry M Blink Waterproof Precision Eyeliner in Black £4.49
Even though I repurchased my Collection liner I came across this 'Blink' liner on the Barry M stand and loved how thin and precise the nib was so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

Garnier Moisture Match for Normal Skin £1.98 (Half Price Offer)
I'm currently using the Garnier Moister Match moisturiser for dry to very dry skin and its been my saviour during these cold winter months, so when I saw the Moisture Match range was half price I decided to pick up the new Protect and Glow moisturiser for Normal Skin. Again I thought this would be so nice to use when Spring arrives because it has an illuminating glow to it, contains an SPF 20 and is lemony fresh.

So that's my little Superdrug Beauty Haul for you all, I hope you enjoyed this kind of post and do let me know if you've picked up any of these little gems recently or if theres anything else that I need to try in Superdrug at the moment.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Light | Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

A while back Maybelline launched a new base makeup collection called Fit Me. The Fit Me Collection consists of a Foundation, Pressed Powder, Concealer and a Foundation Stick which all feature the exclusive Maybelline Skin Merge technology. The technology is designed to deliver ultimate blendability, breathable skin and a seamless match to skin tone, thanks to it's homogenized pigments, sounds pretty good right? As I've been road testing the Fit Me Concealer in shade 10 Light (£5.29) for a while now I thought Id review it for you all today.
The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer* is available in six shades Light, Fair, Sand, Medium, Cafe and Deep and comes in pretty standard plastic packaging that holds 6.8mls of product and has an unscrewable lid with a doe foot applicator attached, I do really like doe foot applicator as I find them nice and precise and you can get to all the nooks a crannies with it ha ha. As this is a gel based concealer I did wonder if the consistency would be on the thicker side but actually its not, its quite a thin, slick feeling consistency which is nice as it blends out beautifully. The finish of the Fit Me Concealer is lovely, it honestly feels like a second skin, its so weightless, non cakey and it docent cling to any of my dry patches that I'm prone to getting which is a major plus, I also feel like it has some kind of dewy look too it as well which is something that Ive never really experienced with a concealer. Now onto the main defining factor, is this concealer great for coverage... I'd say it provides a medium amount of coverage and certainly does a good job of making my under my eyes appear brighter whilst successfully covering any darkness and imperfections. The lasting power of the Fit Me Concealer Id label as just OK, I've not been using powder much recently as I've been going for a more dewy look to my skin and I find after about 4 hours I could use a touch up, that being said over the past week I've used a powder to set the concealer into place just to see how long the concealer lasted and it actually stays in place a good 8 hours when its set, so if your going for a more dewy look be prepared to pop the concealer in your hand bag for touch ups.
Overall I really do like this concealer and it was the finish that really blew me away, it's literally like silk, arrhhh I love it!

You can find the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer along with the rest of the Fit Me Collection on the Chemist Direct website, its the UK’s largest online health care and pharmacy business, providing quick and affordable delivery of tens of thousands of health and beauty products, whats best is you can save a few pennies on there too he he.

Have you tried the Maybelline Fit Me Collection yet?? What did you think?? I'd love to know beaut's.
