Rimmel Kate Comic Relief Limited Edition Lipstick

Back in January I was casually reading one of my girlie magazine's when I came across an advertisement for a lipstick, that lippie in question was the Rimmel Kate Limited Edition Lipstick in Red Nose Red. Yup Kate's ever so popular lipstick 01 was having a Red Nose Day makeover and I just knew it had to be mine, the next day I more or less sprinted to Superdrug to buy it and ever since I've been obsessed!

 The Rimmel Red Nose Red Lipstick by Kate for Comic Relief is a limited edition packaging of Kate’s top selling lipstick shade 01, just to clarify it's just the packaging that's limited edition not the lipstick shade. The standard Kate Moss for Rimmel packaging has had a slight revamp with lid now being covered in little red noses which I think is so cute and iconic! 

The lipstick itself is a gorgeous blue toned red shade which I love, it really has that vintage glam look and once its applied to the lips it just looks so beautiful. The formula of Red Nose Red is very nice, its super pigmented, applies to the lips comfortable and feels very creamy, it  has a sateen finish and a fully opaque coverage. As for lasting power... I get around 4 hours wear out of Red Nose Red which I think is great and it does leave some slight staining too. The only downside I've found with Red Nose Red is that it does cling and expose dry patches  slightly, so I'd highly suggest giving your lips a little pamper before application if your lips are slightly flaky, if not then your good to go!

What's even better about this limited edition lippie is that £1.67 from each £5.49 lipstick goes directly to Comic Relief, beauty and a good cause all in one, now that's the sort of lipstick I love he he! Overall this has been an absolute hit with me and I have been wearing it non stop lately,  so if your a fan of the red lip then you need this in your life beaut's! Because Red Nose Red is limited edition theres no telling if you'll still be able to get one because once they're gone, they're gone, but it's definitely worth a look!

I recently went into my local Superdrug and done what us beauty bloggers do best, go in looking for one thing and come out with eight things ha ha, I just couldn't resist a makeup treat or two so today I thought I'd share with you all what I managed to pick up!

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 01 Red Nose Red £5.49 (Two For £10.00 Offer)

The reason I popped into Superdrug was for this little beauty, the Rimmel Kate Limited Edition Lipstick in Red Nose Red! I love the Rimmel Kate Lipstick range so when I saw in a magazine that Kate's No.1 lipstick was having a Red Nose Day makeover I just knew it had to be mine he he. Red Nose Red is a blue toned red which I love, it really has that vintage glam look once its applied to the lips and just looks so beautiful. Another plus is that each lipstick that sold £1.67 is donated straight to Comic Relief so it's definitely worth picking up beaut's!  

Rimmel BB Cream in Light £6.99 ( Two for £10.00 Offer)

There was two reasons for me picking this BB Cream up, firstly because Rimmel had a 2 for £10 offer on and secondly because I tried a sample of the BB Cream that came in a Glossybox a while ago and absolutely loved it. The Rimmel BB Cream is a 9-1 Skin Perfecting Super Makeup and I think it will work amazingly during the Spring/Summer months so whilst it was on offer I thought I'd get one to put away. The sample I tried a while back was really nice and I loved the way it made my skin look, it felt like it corrected everything that needed correcting and gave me a nice coverage, whilst feeling and looking very light on the skin, it was lovely!

Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo in Pink Gold £4.99 (Buy One Get One Half Price Offer)

As I've been thinking alot about the transition from Winter makeup to Spring makeup recently I thought I'd pick up Maybelline's 'Pink Gold' Color Tattoo whilst it was in stock, it always seems out of stock in my Superdrug so it's obviously a popular choice. I really do love the Color Tattoo's and I cant wait to see what Spring makeup looks I can create with this little pretty!

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in Nude £7.99 (Buy One Get One Half Price Offer)

Something else I can never seem to find in any Superdrug or Boots is the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in Light, its even out of stock online so I caved and bought the Nude shade instead as Ive been dying to try the concealer out for ages. I literally tried the concealer the minute I got it home and I really do like it, the coverage is great and I loved the way it sat on my under eye area and never creased at all. L'Oreal Miss Manga Punky Mascara in Black £5.99 (Introduction Offer)

I wanted to find a new drugstore mascara that ticked all of my mascara boxes so I thought I'd give L'Oreal's New Miss Manga Punky a go. It's said that Miss Manga Punky can give you mega volume on your top and bottom lashes and the conical shape of the brush can create an intense spiky effect, it sounds pretty epic doesn't it. So far I've really been enjoying this mascara and I think my love for L'Oreal mascara's might just be back!

Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in Black £2.99

My trusty Collection Felt Tip Liner is on its last legs so this was just a repurchase because it awesome, I cant live without this little beauty in my makeup bag!

Barry M Blink Waterproof Precision Eyeliner in Black £4.49

Even though I repurchased my Collection liner I came across this 'Blink' liner on the Barry M stand and loved how thin and precise the nib was so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

Garnier Moisture Match for Normal Skin £1.98 (Half Price Offer)

I'm currently using the Garnier Moister Match moisturiser for dry to very dry skin and its been my saviour during these cold winter months, so when I saw the Moisture Match range was half price I decided to pick up the new Protect and Glow moisturiser for Normal Skin. Again I thought this would be so nice to use when Spring arrives because it has an illuminating glow to it, contains an SPF 20 and is lemony fresh.

Rimmel Urban Bohemian Collection by Kate ♥

The Rimmel and Kate Moss partnership has really been soaring recently, if Kates new Idol Eyes Collection wasnt good enough we now have a new Lipstick and Nail polish collection to feast our eyes on called Urban Bohemian, man I love that name!

The Urban Bohemian Collection is said to be inspired buy Kate's interpretation of a laid-back Bohemian look. Kate says...“I’ve always loved the laid-back bohemian looks because it’s all about individual creativity and self-expression.” I mean this collection really does scream Kate Moss doesn't it. The collection consists of 5 Lipsticks and 4 Nail Polishes all of which go from rich, earthy tones with cool brights and even soft nudes, so you can create a look as strong or as subtle as you like.

As you may know a good few weeks ago I went on the Boots online waiting list so that I could be informed when the Rimmel Kate Mascara was released (more information here), when Boots emailed me they kindly sent me a voucher code that added 4 free Kate goodies into my basket at the checkout but only when I ordered the mascara, so I got 2 freebies from the Idol Eyes Collection (review here) and 2 freebies from Kate's new Urban Bohemian Collection. 

I thought I would write up a mini review of the 2 product's that I have tried from the Urban Bohemian Collection so far...

Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate in Pink 33 £5.49

This is my second Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick by Kate and I have to say I love the formula, it's actually infused with a light-reflecting black diamond complex and black mica to achieve incredible depth and intensity, not to mention it feels super creamy and soft on the lips and applies smoothly without dragging which is always nice. If I had to describe this shade I would say its very much a dusky, pink shade, it reminds me so much of something you would see Nicki Minaj wear if you catch my drift. The lasting power of Pink 33 is quite good and lasts me a good 3-4 hours before I could do with reapplying and it doesn't dry my lips out what so ever thank goodness. I'm dying to try the more plum shades in the collection as they look absolutely stunning.  

Salon Pro Nail Polish by Kate in Goddess £4.49

I must admit I hadn't tried any of the Rimmel Salon Pro Lycra nail polishes until I tried Goddess and now I'm lusting after more shades from the collection because the formula of this nail polish is amazing! The ultra flexible Lycra formula claims to make the colour shock proof, chip resistant and anti-fading, with the ability to last up to 10 days and has a beautiful gel shine finish, sounds pretty incredible right? I found when wearing Goddess it was very hard wearing and lasted me 6 days until it started chipping, it's claims are true that it doesn't fade and the super glossy finish was still there even though the polish had started to chip, so it's certainly a strong, long lasting nail polish. As for the shade itself... If your looking for the perfect Peachy Nude nail polish with a warm coral undertone for the Summer then Rimmel's Goddess is perfect, it does look like quite a nude shade in the bottle so I did worry it might be a 'nothing' kind of colour on the nails but after 3 thickish coats it looks lovely.  

Overall I do really like this collection and the formula of both the lipstick and the nail polish are amazing. I also think this collection will be great for the upcoming festival season and the shades are just perfect for that kind of vibe.

Rimmel Idol Eyes Collection by Kate ♥

Recently Rimmel London announced that they would be launching a new Kate Moss Collection called Idol Eyes. The Idol Eyes collection, which hit the shelves on the 14th of May,  has been inspired by the supermodels favourite gem stones and jewels and the shade range really reflects that. 


The line consists of a Mascara which is very similar to the Rimmel Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves Mascara with it's broken heart shaped wand to achieve that voluminous lift and curl and is available in four colours, Eye Rock Jet Black, Eye Rock Sapphire (blue), Eye Rock Emerald (green) and Eye Rock Amethyst (purple). Next is the Kate Shadow Sticks which feature four long lasting eye colours in pencil form that illuminate the eyes in a single stroke. The super creamy formula blends and applies without scratching or dragging on the eyes for smooth application. The Shadow Sticks are priced at £4.49 each and come in Deep Amethyst (purple), Pure Turquoise (teal), Rose Gold (gold) and Electric Sapphire (blue). And to complete the collection there is an emerald green waterproof Kate Gel Eye Liner, unfortunately that only comes in the one shade but I think it's absolutely beautiful.

I thought I would write up mini reviews for each product that I have tried from the Idol Eyes Collection so far...

Kate Mascara in Eye Rock Jet Black £7.49

Truth be told Kate's Mascara is exactly the same as the Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves Mascara , it shares the same wand and from what I can tell it shares the same formula too, however Kate has launched the mascara in 4 all new jewel toned shades, so if you already own the Rockin' Curves Mascara you may want to give this a swerve, unless you are like me and get sucked into the all new 'Kate' packaging which I think is lovely, it looks quite expensive and really reminds me of the Benefit They're Real packaging. If your braver than me and like rockin coloured mascara's I do think you will love this one.

Kate Eye Shadow Stick in Rose Gold £4.49

This is my very first eye shadow stick from Rimmel and after trying this I cant believe I've never bought any before because I love it! The Kate Eyeshadow Sticks share the same formula as the Scandaleyes Eye Shadow Sticks and again come in 4 all new jewel tones shades. After giving the Rose Gold offering a whirl I can tell these little beauties are perfect for summertime wear, firstly they set nicely giving you 24 hour/waterproof hold so it's perfect for those days when it's super hot and sticky or even if you on holiday and you want a wash of colour over your lids when swimming etc, these wont budge. As if the shade was beautiful enough the formula is absolutely beautiful too, its so super soft and creamy and just glides onto your eyelids without dragging and blends out a treat. This shade also works particularly well as a base for a gorgeous golden/bronze eye look, which against a tan will look stunning. 

Kate Gel Eye Liner in Emerald Green £6.99

The Waterproof Gel Eyeliner in Kates Special Edition Idol Eyes Collection just comes in the one shade Emerald Green, I would of loved to see the gel liner in a collection of colours like the mascara and the eye shadow sticks but hey ho, Emerald Green is a beautiful shade so I wont grumble too much he he. In the box you get a cute plastic pot with your gel liner inside and a little gel liner brush which is actually quite good considering it's a little extra. The gel liner itself is creamy and easy to use and looks great against my brown eyes, it's quite a deep Emerald Green shade and makes a nice change to the typical Black liner that I always use. Just like the eye shadow sticks the gel liner provides 24 hour/waterproof hold so it's perfect to wear in the heat and is super long lasting.

Overall I absolutely love this collection, the products and the shades are perfect for this time of year and I'm now lusting after all the other shades too he he.

Budget Christmas Gift Guide | Under £15

Hey girlie's!!!

Today I'm back with another slice of my Christmas Gift Guide pie but this time it's all about saving the pennies and finding some good but affordable gifts for your loved ones. This budget gift guide is mainly targeted towards girlie's but I've thrown a couple of prezzies in there for the guys too.

♥ Aftershave is always a winner for most men and the fact you can still get a nice smelling aftershave on a budget is great!!! I found Intimately Beckham by David Beckham himself for just £8.95 for 50ml on  the fragrance direct website, what an absolute bargain and it smells incredible too.

♥ As I picked an aftershave for the men I wanted to pick an affordable perfume for the girlie's too so I opted for the Kate Moss Eua De Toilette, I've actually had this myself a while back and it smells lovely. You can pick the Kate Moss perfume up from fragrance direct for £8.95 for 50ml's.

♥ Any make up or beauty obsessed girl is going to love the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge in their stocking. It's a great yet affordable alternative to the original beauty blender and will make your make up base look flawless. You can find the Miracle Complexion Sponge in Boots for £5.99.

♥ Everyone loves something from Lush even more so when they bring out all their Christmas range and I think their Festive Goodies Gift Set is lovely. The gift set contains the Father Christmas bath bomb, the Snowman bath bomb and the Christmas Penguin bubble bar, all of which look super cute and smell incredible in your bath. ♥ Every guy I know loves a good ole comedy DVD and at Christmas your spoilt for choice as so many comedians bring out their tour DVDs of their tours this year. I chose Micky Flanagan's Back In The Game Live Tour DVD as Micky Flanagan just cracks me up!!! 

♥ How super cute is this Giraffe Hottie!!! You might be wondering what on earth a hottie is, but its basically a great/very cute alternative to a hot water bottle, simply pop the lavender tummy insert into the microwave to warm up and then place the insert back into the hottie's tummy and voila!!! You can keep warm a snugly up through the cold winter nights and the lavender will help calm/relax you. ♥ And to finish off I found this very girly bow design compact tangle teezer on the feel unique website for £12.25. Tangle teezers have become huge this year and they seem to be becoming am essential for any girl. Their are lots of colours and designs to choose from and personally I think they make great stocking fillers.
