You may remember that in my February Birchbox I received the Eyeko Skinny Mini Liquid Liner, which I think most of us girlie's received in our Birchboxes, so today I thought I'd share with you all my thoughts on it.
The Eyeko Skinny Mini Liquid Eyeliner (£9.00) is a felt-tip liquid eyeliner pen that claims to have a long-lasting, no-smudge formula which creates precise lines and is paraben free.
I must admit I do always get on well with and prefer the 'pen' style liners as I find them so easy to use and Eyeko's offering doesn't differ, the nib is quite sturdy which helps me create precise lines, thick or thin, and the shape of the nib makes creating a nice winged out look super easy, so if you struggle with winging out your liner this could be the one for you. As for the liners finish... It definitely has a semi-glossy finish, in some lights it looks more matte and then sometimes can be slightly glossy, both of which I like. The liners lasting power is also impressive, I have oily eyelids so I find that can effect some liquid liners staying power on me but Eyeko's liner honestly doesn't budge all day, there's also no claim that Eyeko's Skinny Mini Liner is waterproof but it does withstand watery eyes a treat, which is a major plus for me as whilst I've been walking around in this awful windy weather that the UK have had my eyes seem to stream.
The only downside to this product is how quick the nib drys out, I had only been using mine 2 weeks and the nib has nearly dried out completely, so I decided to turn it upside down and store it in the same pot that I store my makeup brushes in and that brought it back to life, so now I always store it upside down and it hasn't dried out since.
Overall I do really like this liquid liner, its so easy to use and creates winged out liner with ease, I love its long lasting ability and the fact it doesn't fade throughout the day, also with it being a mini liner its a nice size for storage or to pop in your bag for your day time travels!
Have you tried the Eyeko Skinny Mini Liner beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know.
It looks like a really nice liner. I find doing wings the hardest thing so maybe I'll give this a go!!

It's great if you struggle with wings because of the nib's shape :) Defo worth a try xoxo
DeleteThis sounds like a nice liner - the wings you've done are lovely! It looks a bit skinnier than my collection one but if it dries out after a couple weeks I might have to pass, my current collection one has been going for three months of everyday use!

Thank you hun :) It is slimmer than the collection one and allows abit more control beacuse of its smaller shape but the drying out is a pain, I have to remember to keep it upside down all the time lol xoxo
DeleteThis looks like a good liner although i do find it very frustrating when they dry out quickly x
ReplyDeleteIt's a great little liner its just a pain having to remember to store it upside down lol xoxo
DeleteI'm looking for a good liquid liner and this looks perfect for the job x

Its great hun, just remember to store it upside down xoxo
DeleteLooks lovely, but I'm a little concerned about it drying out after two weeks! I don't know if I could justify buying it if it won't last too long!

DeleteI have tried this before but felt it dried out quite quickly like you said.

Yeahh its defo the big downside to this liner, try turning upside down xoxo
DeleteNice liner but it is a shame that it dried out so quickly. Have you tried the Soap and Glory Supercat liner? It's amazing!

Noo i havent tried that yet, I need to try more Soap and Glory makeup, it looks so nice xoxo
DeleteI got this as a freebie with a magazine last year (no idea which one it was now) and the first time I swatched it I wasn't very impressed as it didn't seem to flow well, like it was quite dry. I put it aside, I can't remember how long for now, but when I finally decided to give it a try it had almost completely dried out so it just went in the bin x

Oh no, thats a shame :( I have no idea why they dry out so far, you'd think they'd look into it xoxo
DeleteI love that eyeliner, so much! I got it in my birchbox this month and haven't used anything else since. It's gorgeous! Really love your blog, thanks so much for sending me your link. Would love for you to have a look at mine too xx

Haha Birchbox done good didnt they :) Aww thank you sweetie, ill head over and take a look now :) xoxo
DeleteWow you're really good at applying eyeliner!! I don't think we have Eyeko London here :/ BUT this liner looks amazing! I don't have an eyeliner felt tip pen like that - I usually use liquid or cream pencils - but I think pens would be great to try! I think you'd get nice control and still be able to make a nice wing like you did! :)

Aww thank you :) Its taken practise though... I think the pens are the best way to create clean lines and wings as you have much more control :) xoxo
Delete:) It sure is xoxo
