Soap & Glory Puffy Eye Attack Review

Hey beaut's!

I'm always on the hunt for a good yet gentle eye makeup remover, I wear quite heavy makeup on my eyeballs such as my glittery shadow and I wont go anywhere without my trusty winged liner on so I need a good remover that is gentle enough to not sting but is strong enough to actually remove my eye makeup with ease, so the new Soap & Glory Puffy Eye Attack Makeup Remover launched at the right time, as I was on the look out for something new to try!
The Soap & Glory Puffy Eye Attack Makeup Remover claims to melt away makeup, even the most stubborn including waterproof mascara without leaving any residue behind and is suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive like myself. The remover has a clear, jelly-like formula that provides a trio of benefits - it soothes, cools and reduces the appearance of puffiness around the delicate eye area. And if that wasn't enough it's packed with antioxidants like vitamin C and green tea.
To use the remover I like pop a small amount of the jelly-formula on a mini wash sponge (a cotton wool pad works just as well) and hold it against my eye for a few seconds to really let the remover break down the makeup, I then simply swipe away outwards and voila! This stuff has quickly become my new favourite, I was shocked that the remover didn't sting or irritate my eyes at all, this a major bonus for me because more or less every eye makeup remover I've tried has stung quite badly, but this is super gentle. It also done a really good job at breaking down my makeup and removing it really quickly, it only took a couple of swipes of each eye before all my makeup was removed, and the formula is really refreshing because it feels so cooling - like it's been in the fridge - making it amazing to use in the mornings if your eyes are a little puffy and are in need of a little pick me up!

You can find the new Soap & Glory Puffy Eye Attack Makeup Remover in Boots for £5.00 HERE.

Soap & Glory's Summer Launches 2019!

 Hey beaut's!

Soap and Glory always win when it comes to their body lotions and potions, I've been a massive fan for years so whenever something new hits the shelves I cant wait to give it go. The latest launch in question is called 'Call Of Fruity', a summery collection scented with notes of blissful bergamot, creamy coconut, juicy melon and dewy gardenia, it's truly a scent straight from paradise!
The Call Of Fruity collection consists of the usual Soap & Glory holy grails such as a body scrub, a gorgeous body butter, body wash and of course hand food but Soap & Glory have also adding some brand new products to this collection....The Cooling All Girls Crackling Moisture Mousse* and the Paradise Glossed Moisturising Body Oil*.

The Cooling All Girls Crackling Moisture Mousse (£8.00) is so unique and unlike anything I've tried before, it's a lightweight mousse moisturiser which snaps, crackles and pops upon contact with your skin giving you an instant cool feeling as well as feeling moisturised! What I love about this product is that it has a super absorbent formula which means it rubs into the skin in seconds leaving the skin feeling hydrated as well as smelling heavenly, it honestly has that tropical holiday scent to it which I love and it really lasts on the skin, literally anyone you walk past gets a whiff of this gorgeous stuff!
Theres finally a shimmer of hope for us dry skinned gals that love a body oil, Soap & Glory's Paradise Glossed Moisturising Body Oil (£7.50) has been a god send for me, especially on the old elbows and knees. The body oil itself is packed with coconut and almond oils that not only nourish the skin but leave a gorgeous satin-soft glow which is super lightweight and never feels greasy. The oils are actually separated within the spray bottle so you need to give it a good shake before use but once you get spraying you'll be addicted, this is the perfect holiday oil in my opinion and that call of fruity scent is just...scent-sational!

You can find the new Soap & Glory Call Of Fruity Collection in store or online at Boots HERE.

New In From Essence Cosmetics!

Hey beaut's!

If you've been reading my blog for a while now you'll know that I'm a bit of a Essence Cosmetics addict, I absolutely love their products because not only are they all so affordable but the quality is actually very good too - I literally cant get enough of their lip products and nail polishes, their so so good! Anyway...recently Essence launched some fab new bit's for Spring/Summer and I've been testing a few out over the last month or so and I'm actually pretty shook!!
Let's start with the Shine Last & Go nail polishes, now as I said before I love the Essence nail polishes but this range has a new quick dry gel formula which is literally to die for, the gel finish gives you that hard wearing, glossy 'salon-esk' finish and the fact their quick drying is heaven for me because I hate waiting for my nail polish to dry! Theres also a whopping 50 shades to choose from which is literally insane, and at £1.60 a bottle you really cant go wrong!
Essence now have a Lip Ritual Collection to keep our pouts looking and feeling fresh, three products within this collection are the Ritual Balms, theres a Nourishing Balm with Rice Oil which nourishes and pampers the lips intensively, a Moisturising Balm with Cherry Blossom Extract which revitalises and provides a huge dose of moisture and theres a Repairing Balm with Ginkgo Leaf Extract which regenerates the lips and makes them feel supple. My favourite is the Moisturising Balm because it makes my lips look and feel so juicy, it smells lush and it's pink which is always a winner for me, and at £2.00 they really are a bargain!

I'm a sucker for eyeshadow palettes so I was so excited when I saw Essence had some new ones I could play with. The City of Palettes collection features four stunning eyeshadow palettes which are just £7.00 each, I have the G'Day Sydney Palette which contains nine warm toned shades with a pop of blue and green thrown in for good measure and the Hello New York Palette which again contains nine shades but this one has more cool-toned shades to play with! Both eyeshadow palettes have a mixture of matte and shimmer shades, the pigmentation is good for budget eyeshadow palettes, but I will say some shade do need a bit of building up but overall I really like them!
Theres also a new face palette called 'Hey Cheeks' (£6.00) which contains 6 shades - theres 1 highlighter, 3 blushes and 2 bronzer's. Now this palette I absolutely love, all 3 of the blushes are gorgeous and blend out beautifully, the matte bronzer is lush and really warms up my pasty face and I actually like to use the glittery bronzer as an eyeshadow - I do love a muilt-use product! The only shade that's a little lack-luster for me is the highlighter, it's quite subtle which is great if you don't like something super bright but I like my highlighter to really glow, that being said I LOVE this palette and it's not left my makeup bag since I got it!
Now you know how much I love a winged liner look so it didn't take me long to put the Essence Dip Eyeliner (£2.50) through it's paces, this one has a super firm tip making it so easy to create precise line and wings with the sharpest flick at the end, arhhh it's amazing! It's super inky black, dries down matte and because it has a waterproof formula it lasts all day long!
The final product I've been putting to the test is the Insta Perfect Liquid Highlighter in the shade Gold Addiction. I love a liquid highlighter because their so versatile, you can use it as a glowy primer before foundation, you can mix it in with your foundation for a dewy finish, you can mix it with body butters or you can just use it as a regular highlighter to make your cheekbones pop!

All Essence products are available from Wilko stores or online HERE

Revolution Conceal & Define Foundation Review!

Hey beaut's!

I have been absolutely loving Revolution's base makeup launches over the last few months and I think it's fair to say I'm not the only one, I've tried both of Revolution's concealers and the stick foundation and really liked them all especially the concealers but now theres a new kid on the block in the shape of a foundation, ohhhh! That's right the Conceal & Define Concealer now has an older sister so say hello to the Conceal & Define Full Coverage Foundation!
Just like the concealer the foundation has a crazy amount of shades to choose from, 24 to be precise which is just incredible! Ranging from fair to deep, in cool, pink, neutral and warm undertones - there really is a shade for everyone, I think that's chuffing amazing for a high street beauty brand and I really praise Revolution for doing this! I have the foundation in the shade F4 which is for light skin tones with a pink undertone and it matches me perfectly, Revolution also have a full run down of the shades on their website if your unsure what shade you might be.
The foundation itself claims to be lightweight yet buildable, oil-free yet creamy and comfortable, long-lasting with a demi-matte finish that won’t settle into any fine lines or cling to dry patches, sounds pretty amazing right - I couldn't wait to whack it on my face! I have to admit as soon as I started blending in the foundation on my very first application I was loving it, it blends into the skin with complete ease (I use a beauty blender by the way) and the coverage is mega good, it's definitely more on the full side of things and a little of the foundation goes a long way too! The foundation does claim to have a demi-matte finish but I would say it's more on the matte side that demi-matte so if your looking for a bit of a glow you wont really get that from this foundation. Despite being matte I didn't find the foundation heavy or cakey in any way and it wears on my skin really well, my skins quite combination at the moment and I never have any oily/shiny patches come up when I wear this but I do notice that it does cling to a little dryness I have around my nose which isn't a biggy but something to bare in mind! The foundation seemed to last on me for around 7 hours before it had started to wear off slightly on my chin which I think is a pretty good wear time and I never powdered my skin either because I felt that natural matte finish that the foundation has was enough for me!
The only thing I don't really like is the applicator...it has a jumbo doe foot style applicator which holds the product much like how a concealer does and then you spread/dot it around your face that way, personally I don't find it very hygienic and I would of much preferred a pump to be honest, however it is quite a controlled way to use the foundation and I cant see how I'll waste much of the foundation because I cant accidentally pump too much out so theres always that. The bottle however is gorgeous, it has quite heavy glass bottle which is frosted which makes it feel so much more expensive and luxurious!

Overall I've been bloody loving this foundation and I'm so glad I picked it up to try, in terms of the formula it ticks all of the foundation boxes for me and the fact theres 24 shades to choose from is just amazing!

Accessorize Happy Daisy Perfume Review

Hey beaut's!

I'm so ready for all things Spring and Summer now, I'm slowly but surely switching things up in my makeup bag, wardrobe and in my perfume caddy and putting those warm, musky scents to the back and pulling forward my more fruity, floral scents. You might remember that last year I got a bit obsessed with the Accessorize Love Lily Fragrance, I featured it in quite a few favourites posts last year and I'm even on my second bottle of it now so when I heard Accessorize had launched a brand new scent for this Spring/Summer called Happy Daisy I just had to give it a whirl!
Happy Daisy* is a floral, fruity fragrance with a tiny hint of musk so it basically has a little bit of everything going on and I love it! It definitely reminds me of the Accessorize Love Lily Fragrance because they both open up with juicy top notes of raspberry and orange and I can definitely tell they smell similar, but Happy Daisy has heart notes of pepper, violet, cyclamen and jasmine and then finishes with base notes of caramel vanilla, delicate musk, orris and sandalwood.
The scent of Happy Daisy itself is so easy and comfortable to wear, it has light hints of sweetness and mixed with the floral notes it's a match made in heaven. For me it's the perfect scent for everyday wear because it isn't too strong or overpowering, it's not one of those scents that's going to get stuck in the back of your throat that's for sure. The fragrance has good lasting power too despite being quite lightweight, I mean it's not going to last all day long but I get a good couple of hours out of this one and I can always smell those caramel vanilla notes within the fragrance on myself throughout the day too, it's so nice and I can defietly see myself getting so much wear out it from now on.
I love the bottle too, it's shape reminds me of a vintage perfume bottle that my Nan used to have when I was little, it looks so pretty and simplistic and is finished off a coral flower which is encased within the cap!

You can find the Happy Daisy  Eau De Parfum for RRP £19.00/75ml from Accessorize and The Perfume Shop

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer Review

Hey beaut's!

When Makeup Revolution drop a new release it's fair to say us makeup loving gals cant wait to get in on the action and the launch of their Conceal & Define Concealer was no different, in fact this new Makeup Rev concealer was like bloody gold dust to get hold of, it took me weeks to get the shades I wanted to try but after going into four different Superdrug stores and constant online stalking I finally managed to nab a couple to try, I even done a happy dance when the concealers where in my paws hehe!

The one thing that really stood out for me about this concealer before I had even tried it was the fact it comes in a whopping 18 shades ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones. I think that's chuffing amazing for a budget concealer and I really praise Makeup Revolution for doing this. I think more brands need to follow suit to be honest. I have the shades C1 and C3, C1 is the lightest concealer within the shade range and is for fair skin tones with neutral undertones and C3 is the third shade within the collection and for fair skin tones with pink undertones. Both concealers match me pretty well, C3 is the perfect match to be honest because I have a pink undertone, C1 is quite light but works amazingly at brightening and highlighting.
On to the concealer itself....was there any truth in the hype....YES!! I absolutely love this stuff, it has such a creamy, blendable formula that just melts into my skin with ease and despite having really good coverage and a matte finish it never looks or feels heavy or cakey underneath my eyes. I've found a little really blends a long way too, when I first used this concealer I painted loads on and it was far too much, literally a couple of dots underneath my eyes is all I need to cover my horrendous dark circles. I'm not really sure how this concealer would work on acne or spots as I haven't had any spots to test them on but if the coverage underneath my eyes is anything to go by then I'm sure it will work pretty well.
The concealer does have a HUGE doe foot applicator which is 'dare I say it' a little OTT but does get the job done and doesn't drag on my skin whilst I'm using it! And I love the packaging, I'm like a magpie when it comes to rose gold or copper tones so this packaging is right up my street!
Overall I think for £4.00 you really cant go wrong with this concealer, theres honestly nothing I don't like about it and it seems to work for me perfectly, and the fact theres so many shades to choose from makes me super happy!

You can find the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer Review for £4.00 HERE.

New Launches By Technic Cosmetics + Swatches!

Hey beaut's!

I've talked a hell of a lot about Technic Cosmetics over last few months on haysparkle.com and that's because I've really fallen in love with the brand, some of their products are now my makeup bag essentials so when they launch new pretties I cant wait to get my hands on them, lucky for me they have recently launched some gorgeous looking bits which I've been giving a whirl!
The first two newbies are Technic's VIP Colour Wave Eye & Cheek Palettes in Bronzed Bae* and Fairy Tale* (£6.99)! These are soooooo pretty, each palette contains five little wave segments of soft, baked colour which double up as eyeshadows where you can use each little segment separately, or you can swirl a brush through all the colours and use them as pretty epic highlighters. I've been using Bronzed Bae loads because it's so easy to use on an everyday basis and the highlight that the first 2 shades within Bronzed Bae creates is absolutely stunning! Fairy Tale is much more of a fun, daring palette, I absolutely love it because it just reminds me of unicorns and all things pretty and used together as a highlighter it's just 'wow', I've never rainbow highlighted before but it looks so cool on the cheek bones. You can also use both of these palettes wet or dry and really up the pigment and hi-shine if you wish but they do work really well dry in my opinion!
I think it's absolutely genius that Technic have launched their very own Shade Adjusting Collection, it so hard to find the perfect shade of foundation these days so any lightening or darkening drops that you can easily buy are a winner. As well as the light and the dark drops Technic also have Shade Adjusting Highlighter Drops* (£2.99) which I've been obsessed with! I'm all about glowy skin and a few drops of this gorgeous stuff mixed in with my foundation creates the perfect dewy, radiant skin, in the Spring/Summer months these drops are going to be an essential for me.
Finally we have the Technic Shadow Sticks*, I LOVE eyeshadow sticks because their so quick and easy to use, you can simply scribble the colour on your eyelids and either use your finger or a brush to blend the colour out and your ready to go! I have the shades Frosting - an icy white perfect for highlighting the brow bone and inner corners, After Midnight - a deep blue/black with tiny silver sparkles running through it, Rose Gold - my favourite shade out of the four and the one I've been reaching for the most, as the name would suggest and its a pretty rose gold/copper shade and finally I have Chocolate Fondant - a super wearable metallic bronze! All four of these shades are super pigmented, blend out beautiful and can be worn alone if your in a bit of a pinch or they work great as base/primer shades for powder shadows, Frosting really helps bright eyeshadows pop too!

Are you a fan of Technic? Which products are your favourite? I'd love to know!

Vichy Dermablend Cover Matte Powder Foundation Review

 Hey beaut's!

If you've been reading my blog a while now you'll probably already know that I'm a huge fan of Vichy, I use their skincare products on a daily basis and even their Dermablend makeup is part of my makeup collection, so when I saw that they had added to their Dermablend range with a powder foundation I just knew I was going to have to give it a whirl!
If your new to Dermablend, it's Vichy's award winning makeup range that conceals and treats skin concerns, from blemishes and uneven skin tone through to scaring and rosacea the range offers high coverage with a light weight feel and with the added bonus of SPF! The new Dermablend Covermatte Compact Powder Foundation* is perfect if your wanting to set your base makeup into place in a lightweight way for up to 12 hours whilst also adding full, buildable coverage and keeping oil and shine at bay throughout the day too.
I have more combination skin these days, some areas get a little oily and some areas get a little dry so I always need to powder my skin, however I've found it really hard to find the perfect powder that sets and covers without looking cakey or over powdery on my skin until now! Honestly beaut's this powder has been a life saver for me, it never ever looks over powdery or cakey, it keeps my makeup set in place throughout a whole working day and it also adds some coverage so my skin looks pretty much pixel perfect. I also love how it never feels heavy, a lot of full coverage powders - or any powders to be honest - can go heavy or patchy but Vichy's offering never ever feels heavy on my skin and it never goes patchy either.

Overall I cant recommend this powder enough, it's honestly one of my favourite new makeup launches I've tried in a while, and I can see myself purchasing it over and over because I cant be without this beauty now! It lightly mattifies, feels smooth, never clings to my dryer areas, has great coverage, feels lightweight on my skin and keeps shine at bay, whats not to love! It's also great for travelling or popping into your handbag too because the compact has a good sized mirror and the powder flips up to reveal a handy 'on the go' sponge! I literally love this powder as much as my MAC mineralize skin finish natural, which really is saying something!

You can find the Vichy Dermablend Covermatte Compact Powder Foundation for £20.00 HERE.

Soap & Glory She's A Natural Day And Night Palette Reviewed!

Hey beaut's!

Soap & Glory are on fire with their new launches at the moment, their new bath bombs have definitely proved a huge hit with me (read about them HERE) and their new She's A Natural Day And Night Palette is definitely my favourite new makeup launch this month, I've been totally obsessed!
Soap & Glory's She's A Natural Day And Night Palette* contains everything us natural makeup loving gals need to take us from day to night. The palette itself is a really decent size  with a nice large mirror inside the flip up lid which is always appreciated. Included are a light-deflecting sun kissed bronzer called Bronze Moment, a creamy-blendable blusher called Coral Dilemma, a cream highlighter in Glowing Places and three silky, buidlable and well pigmented eyeshadows in Cafe Away, Culture Choc and Choccy!
The quality of every shade within this palette is lovely, the pigment, the blendability, the lasting power - everything is just gorgeous! The bronzer is right up my street because it isn't too dark or too orange-y and it isn't crammed full of glitter either, it reminds me of a slightly lighter version of Benefit's Hoola, their extremely similar! The Blusher and the Highlighter are both cream formulations and blend into the skin like a dream with the option to build up until your hearts content. The three eyeshadows within the palette are perfect everyday shades for me and their so autumnal and warm, Cafe Away is a lovely neutral matte and Culture Choc and Choccy are both different shades of metallic bronze/copper, I love them!
Overall I absolutely love the little palette, it's one of those palettes that you can quickly whack on and then run out the door without thinking, and if you travel often this is going to be a game changer for you! I was so impressed by the quality of all the shades too, they all apply and blend out within seconds and all of the shades suit my skin tone and eye colouring perfectly which is quite rare when buying an all in one palette, for £14.00 this is such a beauty bargain!

You can find the Soap & Glory She's A Natural Day And Night Palette for £14.00 HERE, it's also currently included in their buy one get one half price deal too!
