NEW Electro Maybelline Baby Lips Review in Berry Bomb

Hey beaut's!

Recently Maybelline released 4 new editions to their UK Baby Lips Collection and this time around they decided to go all 'electro' on us for the Summer with a neon/80's twist reflecting in the packaging and the actual shade of the lip balm bullets too. The all new shades in the collection are Oh Orange, Strike A Pose, Pink Shock and Berry Bomb which is what I'll be reviewing for you all today.

Now if I'm being totally honest I certainly didn't need another Baby Lips lip balm in my life because I have the others that where released last year, and truth be told once you've tried one Baby Lips lip balm you've tried them all because the formula really doesn't differ between them but I'm a sucker for anything newly released and Berry Bomb just kept on looking at me and before I knew it, it was in my basket ooopsie!

Berry Bomb (£2.99) appears to be a bright purple shade in the bullet but applies very sheer and leaves you with an ever so slight purple-pink tint to the lips which I love, and in some lights it can look somewhat funky too he he. As I said before the formula of Berry Bomb really doesn't differ from the other Maybelline Baby Lips, it feels very balmy and moisturising on the lips and isn't sticky or tacky at all, also just like all the baby lips lip balms Berry Bomb claims to give 8 hours worth of moisterisation which I don't really agree with but it certainly gives you a hit of moister when it's first applied that's for sure. One thing that has really impressed me about Berry Bomb is that it has an amazing grape/berry scent to it which I LOVE, it honestly makes me want it on my lips at all times, it's so lush. The packaging of Berry Bomb carries the same Baby Lips theme of being cute, youthful and very eye catching, it's also easy to fit into your makeup bag or handbag and the lid fits nice and securely too so there isn't any worries of it making a mess.
Overall I do really like Maybellines new Electro Baby Lips Collection and I'm pleased I added Berry Bomb to my little stash. It's great if you want something more sheer and subtle to wear during the daytime, and it's nice and easy to apply/wear when your out and about as it requires no precision really, you can just whack it on in a rush and go which works for me ha ha. It can even work well as a nice moisturising base for a vampy lip that you might be going for and obviously if your suffering with dry lips it will give you a nice moister boost too.

What Baby Lips shade is your favourite beaut's?? I'd love to know!

November Favourites ♥

Hey girlie's!!!

I cant quite believe its that time again.... November favourites time!!! I know I say this every month but my goodness November went quick, are you all really excited for Christmas yet??? I know I am ha ha. Anywhoo... I thought I would share with you all my favourite beauty products I've been loving throughout this past month... So here goes...

Barry M Nail Paints in Raspberry and Majesty

Raspberry and Majesty have been my favourite nail polish duo at the moment, I literally cant get enough of them. Raspberry is my favourite Barry M nail paint of all time anyway but I really go mad on it in the Autumn/Winter and as Christmas is getting closer I've decided to add some sparkle with Majesty, as we all know I love me some sparkle!!! Ive simply been painting each nail with raspberry apart from my ring finger which I like to do with Majesty and voila!!!

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me

As the weather has now gotten alot colder my lips have certainly been getting dryer and needing an extra moisturising boost, and I have to say my Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry me has been my saviour, it moisturises, conditions, smells amazing and once on the lips it gives you a lovely raspberry red tint. You can check out my full review on the Baby Lips collection here.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in 100 Ivory

I have been addicted to using Rimmel's Match Perfection Foundation recently, its just perfect for this time of year!!! The foundation is a light perfecting radiance foundation meaning it will give the appearance of more healthy, glowing looking skin which is exactly what I need when its dreary and dull outside. The foundation provides a medium but buildable coverage and blends onto my skin really well, its literally perfection in a bottle to me.

St Grape Aqua Bliss Bath Scrub

Oh how I love my St Grape Aqua Bliss Bath Scrub, so much so that I only have about 2 uses left in my pot. When you pop the scrub into your hand it feels slightly like wet sand in texture and is very gentle and not too abrasive yet it still feels like your giving your skin a good exfoliate, afterwards your skin is left feeling super soft and polished. The smell of the scrub, well..... Its gorgeous, it has quite a strong soapy scent that lingers on your skin for ages afterwards. Its great if your using the scrub in the bath too as when you rinse you skin free from the scrub it leaves your bath water slightly bubbly and the scrubs scent stays in your bath water, its honestly like heaven. I currently have a giveaway where 5 of my lucky follower can win a pot of then scrub, you can enter here.

L'Oreal Studio Matt & Messy Salt Spray

As you may or may not know I've been loving wearing my hair curly/wavy recently and the L'Oreal Studio Matt & Mess spray has been an amazing at helping me to create great 2nd and 3rd day curls. All I do is spray the matte and messy spray through my hair on the 2nd or 3rd day and after a scrunch here and a scrunch there my hair is all wavy again as if I have just waved my hair with a waving tool when I haven't, it's amazing and so so easy.

What's been your favourite beauty products this month??? I'd love to know!!!

Autumn/Winter Beauty Essentials | Part 1

Hey girlie's!!!

Being the Autumn/Winter lover i am i couldn't resist doing a post dedicated to some of the products that are going to be well loved by me this season. I'm going to do this post in two parts so look out for more beauty essentials coming soon. I hope you enjoy.....

Lips

Its essential to look after your lips over the colder month's as they are more prone to getting dry, flaky and chapped. Its always good to use a good lip scrub often as this will not only put some well needed moister back into your lips but it will remove any dry flaky patches and prepare a nice base for your chosen lippy, don't worry if you don't have a scrub, you can always just cover your lips in lip balm, take on an old toothbrush and gently buff over your lips, it will give you identical results as the scrub would and saves yourself buying one.

Lip balms are my best friend over Autumn/Winter, i tend to lean towards them alot more than wearing lipstick as they just feel alot more moisturising and comfortable. My favourites for this year are 'Cherry Carmex', this does an amazing job at preventing chaps and keeping my lips flake free also i love 'Maybelline's Baby Lips in Cherry Me' this not only moisturises but leaves you with a nice glossy tint to the lips too. Even though like i said I'm not huge lipstick wearer during Autumn/Winter i still do need the go to shade that i can use when i want a pop of colour, I've chosen 'MUA Shade 1', its a gorgeous berry shade that's perfect for evenings out or to wear during the day if your makeups quite natural looking.

Nails

Barry M Nail Paint in '273 Raspberry' is one of my all time favourite nail polish shades, its just so gorgeous. Its a plain berry red shade perfect for Autumn and great over the festive season with a nice glitzy top coat. I'm also quite partial to Barry M's Mushroom shade, its a nice neutral brown/taupe that seems to go with everything through Autumn time!!!

Hair & Body

Its strange to think that the cold weather can damage your hair, but the truth be known it can, the cold air dehydrates your hair which can leave it brittle, frizzy and unmanageable so its best to give your hair a little treat every now and then. I was recently introduced to Eden Organic Care Avocado Oil, its a multi purpose oil but my favourite way to use it is on my locks, i simply put around 2 pumps worth in my hands, run it through the mid lengths of my hair, leave it for around 10 minutes and then shampoo out with my normal shampoo, it couldn't be easier and afterwards your left with soft healthier looking hair.

The colder climate can also take its tole on our skin, i always notice my skin gets quite dry and rough when its cold so a nice thick creamy moisturiser is essential!!! My favourite is 'Soap & Glory's The Righteous Butter', its so thick like a body butter yet creamy and just melts into your skin, it also smells amazing and you'll notice an improvement almost instantly.

So that's part one of my Autumn/Winter Beauty Essentials, pert two will be up soon.

What are your Autumn/Winter beauty essentials??? Id love to know!!!

Autumn Eyes | Make-Up Look

Hey girlie's!!!

I thought id share with you all what will be one of my most favourite ways to do my eye makeup this Autumn. I adore my golds, browns and bronze colour's so this look will mostly consist of those pretty shades. I am getting braver when it comes to eye shadow though, and will be showing you a nice berry toned look ill be wearing too very soon.

To create this look i started off with perfecting my base...

I buffed in my 'Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation' in 100 Ivory using my 'Real Techniques Buffing Brush', i then went on to conceal my dark under eye circles and any blemishes i had with my 'Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer' in 1 fair. To set all everything into place i used my Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium and finished of with a small amount of my 'MUA Blush' in Candyfloss.

I then went on to the eyes, my favourite part he he...

To create this eye makeup look i used....

The Urban Decay Naked Palette taking the shade 'Half Baked' on a fluffy blending brush and softly blending it across the lid, i then took the shade 'Smog' and blended that into the crease and slightly over the lid also, and i finished off with using 'Hustle' at the outta corner just to darken up the look slightly. I then used my 'Collection Extreme Felt Tip Liner' in black to line the upper lash line and winged it out ever so slightly, nothing too dramatic though. I lined my waterline with 'Avon's SuperShock Gel Eyeliner' in black and finished of with a coat of 'Max Factor's Wild Mega Volume Mascara'. For my brows all i used was the shade 'Buck' from the Urban Decay Naked Palette just to make them appear more full.

For the lips I've kept it quite natural and just used my 'Baby Lips' tinted lip balm in 'Cherry Me', this is my favourite shade out of the collection and keeps your lips lovely and moisturised through the colder monthes preventing chapping.

I hope you liked the first of my Autumn eye looks, any feedback would be great as this is my first ever eye makeup 'look', I'm in no way a make up artist but i do try my best he he!!!

What eye shadows will you be wearing this Autumn??? I'd love to know.

Maybelline Baby Lips UK | Review

Top to bottom, Cherry Me, Pink Punch and Peach Kiss. They all swatch quite pigmented but apply more sheer.

Hey girlie's!!!

Finally Maybelline's Baby Lips have touched down in the UK, i know they're well loved in the US so its nice to finally try them out and see what all the hype is about. As far as i know the 'Baby Lips' are just available in Superdrug and Boots at the moment and priced at £2.99 each although they are 3 for 2 at the moment in both stores but that will only be for a limited time. So far in the UK Maybelline have launched 6 lovelies to choose from, three of which are untinted with an SPF of 20 which are called Hydrate, Intense Care and Mint Fresh which all apply clear just like your standard lip balm. The other three are all ever so slightly tinted which are Cherry Me, Pink Punch and Peach Kiss, they all also leave you with a slight glossy finish to the lips.

Cherry Me
This is the favourite of the bunch for me, its a gorgeous bright red colour in the bullet but once applied it gives a nice sheer raspberry red tint to the lips. It smells gorgeous, just like the cherry drops sweets i used to love when i was little although when it on the lips you cant taste of smell that what so ever.

Pink Punch
Pink punch looks like a vibrant bright pink shade in the bullet but when applied its a light pink colour with a nice passion fruit scent, it really reminds me of a Tropicana drink but i don't know which one ha ha.

Peach Kiss
This is least favourite out of the bunch, i actually don't like this one at all really which is a shame. Its a very sheer nude shade with very fine shimmers running through it but if I'm honest once this shade is applied on the lips its hardly visible at all, where as with the others the tint is visible. Also its peach scented which i dislike as I'm not a lover of peach scents which puts me off slightly.

After using these for a good few days i do like them but i honestly cant see that much of a difference between these and your standard lip balm, putting the slight tint aside these really aren't much different to the Nivea balms for instance. As for the packaging.... It is cute and very eye catching and easy to fit into your makeup bag or handbag. I would highly recommend picking up 'Cherry Me' as i bloomin love it and can definitely see myself repurchasing that one over and over.

Have you tried any of the Baby Lips yet??? Whats your favourite???
