Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon Review

Hey girlie's!!!

I recently spotted that Bourjois had released their offering of the popular 'chubby stick' style glossy lipsticks so i had to pick one up and see how it fared against the rest, i have tried and loved both the 'MUA Power Pout's' and the 'Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains' so my thoughts where, could Bourjois beat my love for them????

Firstly the packaging is pretty much identical to all the 'chubby stick' style crayons and has a twist up mechanism to get more product out, its really easy to use and not messy in the slightest. Their are 4 shades to choose from in Colour Boost range, they are... Peach on the Beach, Fuchsia Libre, Orange Punch and Red Sunrise. I opted for '02 Fuchsia Libre' a blue toned berry pink shade, the pigmentation is good, its not completely opaque nor is it sheer its just a nice glossy pop of colour. The formula is lovely, its light, creamy and moisturising and even when the glossy finish has worn off your lips it doesn't dry them out what so ever. I find  that 'Fuschsai Libre' lasts around 3-4 hours before i need to reapply, and it fades out completely even without leaving you with product around your lips like lip liner, man i hate that. The colour boost crayons are also waterproof and have an SPF 15 in them which i think is fab as the colours in this range would definitely be great holiday/summer time colours.

Overall i do really like Bourjois' offering but they are extremely similar to other crayon style lipsticks on the market. I do think that even though there is only four shades in the collection so far, all shades are all extremely wearable and lovely.

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons retail for £7.99 each and are available in Superdrug and Boots.

Have you tried these Color Boost Crayons yet??? What did you think???

Happy 2nd Birthday Glossybox!

I was super excited to receive my Glossybox this month knowing that it was the 2nd birthday box i was expected a nice treat and it certainly didn't disappoint!! The content's of my birthday box has 3 full size products inside, yes that right, 3. So thank you Glossybox its certainly a fabulous birthday treat for us!!

So here's what i got in my box!!!

♥ La Roche-Posey Anthelois XL SPF 50 Dry Touch Gel Cream rrp £16.50 - I was super excited to see this in my box as firstly its full size and secondly I've been dying to try some La Roche-Posey products for so long but as they are on the expensive side I've never caved in. This will certainly be great for summer and great for me to just try La Roche-Posey in general, i cant wait to use this when we get some hot hot weather.

Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara rrp £15 - I was extremely happy to see this is my box as not only do i love the Jelly Pong Pong range but its another full size product, yippee. I  fell in love with the Lip Blush by Jelly Pong Pong that we got in the March box so I'm thinking this is gonna be just as fabulous too. It says its lengthening, volumising and non clumpy, every thing u want in a mascara right?

Headline Colors Nail Polish in Twisted Silk rrp £9 - This is just so girly and gorgeous, its a thick matte dusky pastel pink which is perfect for the spring time. It's amazing quality and full size too.

Beautiful Movements Prime & Create Mixing Medium rrp £20 - When i saw this in my box i was like ' what on earth '???? After some reading i learnt that this is in fact a Primer that can  also be used as a mixing medium to turn powder make up into cream based make up. I have used this so far to turn a broken powder blush into a cream blush and i have to say its fantastic. I'm looking forward to seeing how this works as a primer and what other powder to cream products i can make.

Stone Beauty Body Lotion in Pomegranate Noir rrp £10 - This is the one thing in the box that I'm not too keen on as i hate the smell unfortunately. I did try a small amount on my arm and the formula is nice and it just melts into the skin quickly making u feel nicely moisturised and it never irritated my sensitive skin either but i just wish it smelt nice. I do however think its great that the Stone Beauty range isn't tested on animal's and contains no preservatives, parabens or sulphates.

Lastly is the Glossybox added extra which is some cute little nail files, perfect for on the go use and to keep in your handbag.

I hope you enjoying seeing what goodies i got this month, i have to say i think its fabulous box this month, I'm really impressed.

What did you get in this months Glossybox??? Id love to know.

Glossybox April 2013

Hey girlie's!!!! This month Glossy box teamed up with the lovely Pearl Lowe who designed the gorgeous box inspired by her love for all things vintage and floral and i blooming well love it.

The contents is all about 'Spring Fever' getting us all ready for the spring/summer that's fast approaching (we hope). Inside my box this month are five gorgeous treats, 2 of which are full size yippee.

♥  Essie Nail Lacquer in Nice Is Nice- I was so excited to see this in my box, I've always wanted to try Essie polishes but I've never been able to bring myself to spend £7.99 on a single nail polish, so the fact i now have a full size one to try out is fab. The shade 'nice is nice' is a muted down pastel lilac colour which is perfect for springtime wear.

♥ Nip & Fab Dry Skin Fix Body Butter in Pistachio Sundae- I must admit I've never tried any Nip & Fab products before so i was thrilled to have this in my box to try out. Firstly the scent is amazing, it honestly smells that nice that i could just taste it. The consistency is more like a thick moisturiser than a body butter but still its gonna be great to get rid of any dry patches on the skin.

♥ Sun Sense Daily Face SPF 50plus- I'm going to save this to try in the Summer on the real hot days, I'm pleased that it says its a matte formula as I'm hoping it's going to be great under foundation and not leave that oily residue that sun lotions usually leave. The one thing that I'm abit miffed about is that because it's facial sun protection your not gonna need a great deal of product each time its applied yet there is not lid or cap, it just has one of those snap off stoppers so once its open there's no closing it which could prove to be annoying.

♥ Model Co Cheek & Lip Tint in Rosy Red- The second full size product in my box and another range I've never tried before but I'm excited to give this a go. I popped a small amount on the back of my hand and it feels like a thin gel formula which rubbed into the skin quickly and easily to leave a nice rosy stain, i also noticed it had a nice berry scent to it which is lush.

♥  Yves Rocher So Elixir Purple Eau de Parfum- Like i said last month, the perfume samples give me the grumps in these beauty boxes as i can always pick samples up for free if i want to try them, however this month you get a little 5ml bottle which is better than the usual one spritz you normally get, as its a little bottle it will be great for your handbag or even on a night out when u only have a small bag with you but u want to take a perfume, so all in all the perfume sample isn't so bad this month.

All in all I'm pleased with this months box as its a box brimming with new products and ranges to try and 2 full size items, cant be bad.

Glossybox March 2013

Hey girlie's!!! As i haven't done a Glossybox review since January i thought it was about time i done one again. This years Glossy box's haven't really been blowing me away if I'm being totally honest although this month my box is full of little treats that i know i will completely use up.

This months box is based on being City Chic and making sure we are well groomed at all times, the box has 5  handy travel size products to help us achieve this.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream- I was so excited to see this in my box as I've never tried it before and i know its well loved in the beauty world, the sample gives you 7ml's worth or product to try which to me didn't seem enough although i am told a little bit of this cream does go a long way, hopefully it was last long enough for me to give it a good try out.

♥ Juicy Couture, Couture La La- I'm a big fan of the Juicy Couture perfumes but i must admit receiving perfume samples in my beauty boxes drives me mad, the shear fact that i can go to a department store and pick these samples up for free is the reason why it annoys me so much, putting that to a side this perfume is lovely, its got a light floral but slightly fruity scent which will be lovely from the spring/summer weather.

♥ Tresemme Extra Hold Hairspray- I was a bit miffed but happy about getting this in my box, i didn't understand why we got a not so high end hairspray as I'm pretty sure if your anything like me i buy these boxes to try out high end products that i maybe don't wanna spend a fortune on before I've actually given the product a go, moaning aside i do really like Tresemme hairsprays anyway and this will get used, its just abit annoying that i can pop to my supermarket and pick up a can that are usually quite cheap on offer anyway.

♥ Nails Inc in St James- I'm so happy i got this, the quality of Nails Inc polishes are amazing and the fact i got this gorgeous classic red colour is just fab and always a winner.

♥ Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush- The only full size product in the box and i love it, its basically a large chunky lip stain crayon in a gorgeous red blushing colour, for some reason i cant actually find the actual shade number or colour name to this anywhere on the product but i still love it. Its not overly moisturising but the stain does stay put for quite a long time for me it was a good couple of hours until i noticed some fading.

Also including in this months box is My Little Travelling Book which runs through some must see places to visit, its so nicely designed and had a shabby chic passport look to it and also has some super cute stickers in the middle, i think would be great to stick the little stickers over your Glossybox and create like a keep safe travelling box where you could keep all your used tickets or nice photo's from your travels in, all in all this months box is a winner for me as i know i will use each and every product i got.

Much Love Hayley xXxXx

Glossy Box January 2013

As its a brand new year i thought i would treat myself and restart my Glossy Box subscription again. The reason of me stopping my boxes before wasn't that i disliked them, i had just started slipping back on my YouTube uploads and knew i was going to have a break so didn't see much point of continuing anymore if I'm honest.

After receiving my January box i have noticed they have changed the normal card 'menu' to a folded up paper  leaflet/magazine which at first i wasn't a fan of but i must admit there's alot more information on the new leaflet than the card 'menu' before. The January box has a new year detox theme which i thought was a cute idea to help us all recover from the holiday season indulgence.

I opened the menu first and was impressed by the layout as i could see exactly what i had in this month's box and i could easily see and read all the information about all of my products. After diving into my box i noticed i had a little added bonus that wasn't on the leaflet menu, an amazingly cute sleeping mask which i thought was a really nice touch.

In my box i received the Sanctuary Spa Active Reverse Thermal Transformation Mask, Monu Micro Exfolioant, Premae Skincare Balance Rescue Face Tonique, Paul Mitchell Lavender Mint Moisturizing Conditioner and the Jason Lips Bee Healthier. I wasn't wow'd by any of the products i got in my box this month and I'm only really excited to try the Monu Micro Exfolioant and the Face Tonique, the Jason Lips Bee Healthier i didn't really think was a high end treat and the Lavender Conditioner is a big no no for me as the smell of lavender alone makes my eyes water. The Sanctuary Spa product also doesn't excite me as i think its aimed towards more mature skin as it claims to reduce lines and wrinkles which at my tender age of 25 I'm sure i wont be needed that anytime soon ( i hope). All in all I'm hoping my next box will be a little bit more up my street.
