Lush Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb Review

It's been a hot minute since I last done a Lush review, so a few weeks ago I popped into Lush and treated myself to a couple of bath bombs that where completely new to me, granted some of them where for Mother's Day so theres no point in me reviewing them now however I did pick up a little cutie called 'Yellow Submarine' which was just too cute to leave, cue bursting into song 'we're all going on a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine' ha ha! 

The Lush Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb is shaped just as a submarine and is bright yellow in colour with some bright pink peeking through, it's definitely as bath bomb that looks fun and dare I say it again, cute! The smell of the Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb is what really had me sold though, it smells absolutely AMAZING! It contains combination of Brazilian orange oil, coriander seed oil and lemongrass oil which gives it a zesty, tropical kick but theres some definite sweet coconut vibes going on too, strangely though I cant find anything on the Lush website to say it contains anything coconut-y but it definitely has a light, sweet coconut scent which is bloody gorgeous. Because it's quite zesty it's a nice uplifting bath bomb to use, so perfect if your in need of a bit of a pick me up, it's great in a morning bath too.

When I popped the Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb into my bath it didn't whizz or bop about much but was quite a slow, gentle fizzer, as it fizzed away it produced lots of bright yellow and hot pink streams however the finishing colour of the bath water was a bright yellow and it smelt divine! I never experienced any staining on my bath which is a major plus and if you don't like glittery bath bombs this one might be for you as there wasn't a single piece of glitter or shimmer in sight! A fab tip with this one is to wash your hair in the water, not only will your skin feel soft and smell great but the scent really clings onto your hair and it smells amazing for days! I really cant recommend the Yellow Submarine Bath Bomb enough if your looking for something uplifting with tropical scents running through it!

Lush Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb Review

It's that time of the year again where I ditch the quick showers and start enjoying long, hot relaxing baths so of course that meant that I needed to take a trip to Lush and treat myself to a couple of bath bombs. I didn't go mad this year, I just picked up four goodies to try (does anybody else think Lush has got quite pricey?), three of which where from their Christmas range and one from their Halloween range. One bath bomb I knew I wanted to try this year was the Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb, firstly because I've never tried a jelly bomb but secondly because I'm a Snow Fairy addict!

The Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb  is a pink and white ballistic which has that gorgeous bubblegum, candy floss, sweet shop fragrance that all of us Snow Fairy addicts love, it definitely smelt exactly how I thought it would, just like the Snow Fairy shower gel. When I popped the jelly bomb in the bath I had no idea what to expect, was my bath water going to turn gloopy like jelly? Ha ha the answer is no (thank goodness), it fizzes away just like a normal bath bomb with streams of white and very delicate pink coming out of it to reveal a large hot pink lump of 'jelly' that floats on top of the water, this then breaks off into smaller pink pieces as you relax in the bath. Originally my bath water was quite white with not much colour at all, but the longer I was in the bath the more the water turned baby pink as the jelly was melting and it looked really pretty in the end!

The pink jelly pieces did get a little annoying in the end as they don't really dissolve but they where really moisturising, I actually grabbed some of the lumps and massaged them into my body all over to dissolve some and my skin felt incredible afterwards so I would recommend doing that! If you wash your hair in the bath water I would recommend a rinse with clear water afterwards, I had to get my boyfriend to rinse mine with the shower head to remove the pink bits from my hair, this might be annoying for some but I actually enjoyed having my hair rinsed off he he.

After getting out the bath my skin certainly felt pampered and nourished and it smelt so nice, to be honest the entire upstairs of my house smelt of Snow Fairy for ages, I was still smelling it the next day too which was nice! If your a Snow Fairy lover then you do really need to give this bath bomb a whirl, annoying as they jelly chunks can be it's still a gorgeous smelling ballistic with great skin benefits!

Lush Pink Pumpkin Bubble Bar Review

It's that time of the year again where I ditch the quick showers and start enjoying long, hot relaxing baths so of course that meant that I needed to take a trip to Lush and treat myself to a couple of bath bombs. I didn't go mad this year, I just picked up four goodies to try, three of which where from their Christmas range and one from their Halloween range - the new Pink Pumpkin Bubble Bar!

The Pink Pumpkin Bubble Bar is new to Lush this year and it's so dreamy to look at, it's pink, it's so sparkly and iridescent and pumpkin shaped with a tiny little cinnamon stick stalk, whats not to love! The scent of this one is very feminine and floral, it's made up of a mix of geranium, bergamot and jasmine that come together to create a sweet girlie fragrance which I love, it actually reminds me of a perfume I once had but I cant for the life of me put my finger on what one!

Once crumbled into the bath it creates lots of soft white fluffy bubbles and turns the water a gorgeous shade of pink, in the picture above I only used a large chunk of the bubble bar so I still have plenty left for another two baths or so, I imagine if you crumbled the whole bubble bar into your bath you may fill you entire bathroom with bubbles as it really does bubble up a lot ha ha. Despite being super sparkly and glittery to touch once the Pink Pumpkin is in the bath you don't actually get covered in glitter, the glitter is literally just on the outside of the bubble bar so if your worried that you might come out the water resembling a disco ball fear not he he!

If your looking for a girly, floral bath this Halloween I cant recommend the Pink Pumpkin enough, it smells gorgeous, looks cute and creates sooooo many soft bubbles, I love it and I'm so happy I picked it up to try!

Lush Ups-A-Daisy Bath Bomb Review

As you probably all know by now I'm partial to a lush bath bomb or five, so when I popped into my local Lush store and saw that some of the new Mother's Day collection was out I just had to treat myself to something and ended up going for Ups-A-Daisy, how cute!

The Ups-A-Daisy Bath Bomb (£3.50) is a flower shaped bath bomb which is super fun and colourful, it's double-sided with a bright yellow and blue design on one side and orange and pink on the other, it's quite a hefty size too, Lush definitely didn't scrimp on this one. The scent of Ups-A-Daisy is really fresh and floral, it contains soothing rosewood oil, delicate rose absolute and bright orange oil all of which make it quite a cheery, uplifting bath, perfect for hard working mums out there or even if you've just had a long day at the office, I think it goes hand in hand with Spring too, it just looks so Springy to me!  

Once I popped Ups-A-Daisy in the bath it was quite a slow fizzer and was bobbing around in my bath for quite some time until it had completely dissolved, it fizzed a stream of all different colours - pink, orange, yellow and blue until it finally settled down to orange water. The scent throw was definitely recognisable after I got out of the bath too, I could still smell it on my skin and in my hair for hours afterwards, even the next day too which I love, however it wasn't overpowering in the slightest, just subtle and fresh.

Overall I really enjoyed using Ups-A-Daisy and if your into your fresh, floral scents from Lush that will really uplift your mood but relax you at the same time I'd highly recommend picking this one up for yourself and your Mum whilst your at it he he.

Lush Cupid Bath Bomb Review

When I saw the Lush Valentines line up I couldn't wait to treat myself to a few bit's (haul HERE), there was one bath bomb that immediately stood out to me that I knew I needed to try asap and that was the Cupid Bath Bomb.

The Cupid Bath Bomb is brand new to Lush this year and isn't it just the cutest little thing you ever did see, I love the pink love heart-arrow design, and it definitely captures the Valentines theme that's for sure. As this is a new bath bomb I had no idea what to expect from it scent wise, but it's actually divine. It's quite a strong scent full of uplifting bergamot, calming and toning rose petal powder and fresh violet leaf absolute making it very floral but it also has a sharp, fruity sweetness of raspberry running through it too which altogether remind me of a bath filled with the scent of those fizzy sweets from back in the day, just like refreshers or love hearts, I love it! As I said before Cupid is quite a strong scent which lingered on my skin for hours after my bath and I could still smell it in my hair the next day too, personally I love a strong scent that lingers but if you don't Cupid might not be for you.

When I popped the Cupid bath bomb into my bath it was quite a slow fizzer and was bobbing around for a while until it had completely dissolved, it fizzed a stream of pink and white which when combined left me with super pretty pale pink bath water, it's so girlie and right up my street.

If theres one bath bomb that you need to try from Lush this Valentines then it has to be Cupid, it looks so cute, smells incredible, leaves my skin soft and it's fairly priced too at just £2.95, it's actually the cheapest bath bomb in the Valentines collection, I wish I had bought a few of them now because it's up theres with one of my favourites.

Mini Valentines Lush Haul

It's no secret that I'm a bit of a Lush addict, so when I saw their Valentines collection pop up of their website I just couldn't resist and ended up treating myself to a couple of bits!

Firstly I picked up the Cupid Bath Bomb (£2.95), this is brand new to Lush this year and isn't it cute, I love the pink love heart-arrow design, it definitely captures the Valentines theme that's for sure. As this is new I had no idea what to expect from it smell but it's actually divine, its full of uplifting bergamot, rose and violet leaf absolute making it very floral but it also has a subtle sweetness running through it too to balance things out, I love it!

Another newbie to the Lush Valentines collection this year is the Lovestruck Bubble Bar (£4.25), can we all just take a second to appreciate the emoji vibes he he, what a cutie! Lovestruck will add a bright yellow citrus burst to your bath because it smells just like a super sour lemon, kind of like a sour lemon sweet actually. I think this one will be great if you like a morning bath as the lemon really is quite refreshing and will perk you up for sure.

Yayyy one of my favourites is back - the ever so popular Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar (£4.25). The Unicorn Horn is super pretty with it's colourful, bright stripes that have been merged together to create the shape of a magical Unicorns Horn, its also covered in a delicate silver lustre which just adds to the magical effect! If you really want to relax and unwind before bed then the Unicorn Horn is perfect because it contains lavender oil and neroli oil which both take away the tension for a better nights sleep, I love this one and I'm so glad Lush brought it back for another year!

Finally I picked up the Lover Lamp Bath Bomb (£4.25). I literally can not wait to use this one, it smells of sweet vanilla and the three red love hearts around the bath bomb are actually organic cocoa butter bath melts which will really nourish and moisturise the skin, apparently the bath bomb bursts out red love heart confetti too, how cute!

January Beauty Favourites

It's the first monthly favourites of the year! How has the start of 2017 been for you all? I cant quite believe how quick January is whizzing past, it honestly scares me that the months go by so quickly! This month my beauty favourites mainly contains things that I was lucky enough to get for Christmas, I could of made this post an extremely long one as theres so many things I've been loving this month but I some how narrowed it down to a handful!

Firstly I've been obsessed with using my Too Faced Merry Macaroons Palette, my goodness it's such a stunning, good quality eyeshadow palette and it's crammed with shades that are perfect for everyday looks. My most reached for shades are definitely the top row and the 3 shades on the left had side row too, just beautiful! Sticking with the eyes I have fallen in love with Benefit's Roller Lash Mascara, it makes my lashes so long, defined, lifted and curled and doesn't smudge or flake on me at all, it's incredible and wont be leaving my makeup bag anytime soon.

For base makeup I've switched things up quite a bit recently and have fallen in love with my new routine. Firstly I drench my face in the Smashbox Priming Water, this stuff is amazing and not only does it prime the skin but you can use it as a setting spray too, I use it both ways and I've noticed a HUGE improvement with how my base makeup looks and lasts, I will definitely be buying the full size bottle of this very soon. For foundation I've gone back to my trusty MAC Face and Body, I just love how dewy and lightweight this foundation is and you can keep building it up to get the coverage you like. Benefit's Hoola Bronzer has become another makeup bag staple for me since Christmas, it's quite a bold statement for me to say I love a bronzer because I'm super fussy with bronzers but Hoola is gorgeous, it's matte, easy to blend and works with my skin tone really well.

 To blend in my foundation and other base makeup I've been loving my Real Techniques Berlin Brush Set (review HERE) that I picked up in the boxing day sales, I've been getting so much use out of these brushes because the set contains 5 core brushes that can be used in many different ways, my favourite is the buffing brush. Lastly this month I have been obsessed with the Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner, I slather this on every night at the moment and in the morning my skin is so soft and smells insanely good, it's like I'm wearing Snow Fairy perfume, mmm!

January Sales Haul

Every year I always look forward to seeing what beauty bits and bobs go into the Boxing Day sales, I'm always on the hunt for that beauty bargain and this year I got a couple things that I was super chuffed with so I thought I'd to a little haul and share them with you all.

Lush

The one sale that I really look forward to every year is Lush, for the past few years I've always been on the computer by 9am ready to buy all the festive goodies at an amazing 50% off, however I'm sure I'm not alone in saying this - but just like last year and the year before placing a sale order with Lush was a nightmare! They had me in a que of 32'000 people all day and I never got on the site until around 6pm and by that time most things had sold out, never the less I did manage to place a very small order stocking up on more Snow Fairy shower gel and a couple of my favourite bath bombs that they had left.

Superdrug

From Superdrug I managed to pick up quite a few bargains starting with the Tanya Burr Its Cold Outside Lip Gloss, Blush & Highlight Set which was only £2.99 reduced from £11.00 which I thought was such a steal. I also managed to grab a couple of things from Zoella's Christmas range too, I stocked up on another Hungry Hands Hand Cream because I adore it so much and it was just £1.99 reduced from £6.00, I then decided to pick up her Deck The Baubles Bubble Bath to try which was £1.49 reduced down from £6.00. The final bargain I picked up is probably my favourite out of this entire haul and that's the Real Techniques Your Picks Makeup Brush Set which was just £9.99 reduced from £19.99. This limited edition collection includes five of the best Real Techniques brushes and comes with printed street art handles inspired by graffiti, murals and paintings in Berlin. 

Boots

Finally from Boots I did pick quite a few things up however most of them where gifts for my Mums birthday and as my lovely Mum reads my blog I cant share them with you all however I did treat myself to my favourite Yankee Candle 'Christmas Cookie', amazingly it was only £10.99 for the large jar which I just couldn't pass up.

Lush Ruby Red Slippers Bubble Bar Review

When I heard Lush where bringing back the Ruby Red Slippers Bubble Bar this Christmas I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! I had one quite a few years ago when it was released before, I think it was maybe in 2013 or 2014 I cant quite remember but what I do remember is that used to be in the shape of a red slab so I was keen to see how the remake and new look fared!

As I said before the Ruby Red Slippers Bubble Bar (£3.95) now has a new look, instead of being a red slab like before it's now the cutest red slipper shape and covered in red glitters too, it looks so Christmassy, I love it! When I crumbled Ruby Red Slippers into my bath it created lots of fluffy bubbles and turned my water a festive red shade, I did break my bubble bar into two though to get two baths out of it so I imagine if I would of used the whole bubble bar the red colouring would of been slightly more deeper, the red glitter that covers the outside of the bubble bar isn't actually within it so you don't come out the bath looking like a disco ball however I did see some of it glistening in the water but it never transferred onto my skin. The scent of Ruby Red Slippers is gorgeous, it contains carnation absolute, rose absolute and tangerine oil which make it quite a floral scented bath but theres definitely a dash of spice within it too, I kept getting hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, it was actually super festive despite being quite floral.

Overall I'm so happy I picked up this bubble bar, it was pretty to look at in and out of the bath, the scent was floral yet spicy which made it so festive and it was such a relaxing bubble bath too, afterwards I felt to calm and sleepy so it'd definitely say this is one to use in the evening before bed. I'll definitely be buying a few more of these cute little slippers before Christmas is up that's for sure, I really enjoyed this one!

Lush Northern Lights Bath Bomb Review

When I heard Lush where bringing back the Northern Lights Bath Bomb this Christmas I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! I had one a few years ago when it was released for Halloween/Bonfire Night but it was longer and thinner then and has a sprinkling of stars on the top so I was keen to see how the remake fared!

The Northern Lights Bath Bomb (£3.95) now has a new shorter shape but it's bigger, lets say they have beefed it up a bit he he, it has a purple outer shell and a blue disc at one end of the bath bomb and a yellow disc at the other, this kind of gives you a sneak peak at what to expect once it's in the bath. When I dropped this little beauty in the tub it fizzed away slowly creating trails of blue, yellow, purple and even green at some points, this all looks magical and colourful at first but once the colours merge together the water turns a dark murky colour which isn't as pretty as I would like it to be, but I can overlook that to be honest because it smells incredible and looks great to begin with. As I just mentioned I love the scent of Northern Lights, it contains Jasmine Absolute and Ylang Ylang Oil which makes it slightly floral and whilst the scent it quite strong and pungent I found this a really comforting, relaxing bath! 

Overall I'm so happy they brought the Northern Lights Bath Bomb back this year, its colourful and fun and because it's quite slow dissolving in the water it kind of bobs about the bath water creating it's own little colourful party! I washed my hair in this bath water and as always the scent lingered in my hair for a couple of days afterwards, I could also still smell it on my skin the next day to which is always nice! I'll definitely be buying a few more of these before Christmas is up that's for sure!

Lush Autumn Leaf Bath Bomb Review

Each year when Lush bring out their Halloween and Christmas collections I get stupidly excited and have to make a trip pretty pronto to stock up, this years collections certainly didn't disappoint with lots of brand new bath bombs and bubble bars to choose from and of course some trusty old favourites too. One bath bomb I couldn't wait to get my mitts on was the new Autumn Leaf bath bomb, this one was released especially for autumn and Halloween, I'm not too sure if it will still be available all throughout Christmas too bit it's definitely still available online right now woohoo.

The Autumn Leaf Bath Bomb £3.75 is as you would expect...super seasonal and autumnal with it's leaf shape and layers of green, yellow and pinky orange, I love it! When I popped this bath bomb in the bath it whizzed and fizzed around changing three colours just like leaves on trees do in the autumn, it went from green to yellow and finally finished leaving my bath water a shimmering golden orange colour. Scent wise...this little Autumn Leaf contains a combination of neroli, sandalwood and maple sap, making this a fresh, woody and super warming scent, theres also an ever so slight sweetness to it too which I really like. It's weird but everything about this bath bomb from the look to the colours and even the smell just reminds me of an autumnal walk in the forest with all the burnt orange leaves crunching underfoot, its so...lush he he!

Overall I'd highly recommend giving this cute Autumn Leaf a whirl, especially if your into your fresh, autumnal scents. It's great for an evening bath when you just want to relax and when I washed my hair in this bath my hair smelt of the Autumn Leaf bath bomb for like two days, it was so nice and really lingered!

Lush Pumpkin Bath Bomb Review

Each year when Lush bring out their Halloween and Christmas collections I get stupidly excited and have to make a trip pretty pronto to stock up, this years collections certainly didn't disappoint and there was one new addiction to Lush's Halloween collection that just had to come home with me and that was the Pumpkin Bath Bomb.

The Pumpkin Bath Bomb is described as a slab of sweet pumpkin pie, dripping in spice and sauciness, now if it's cuteness never sold it to you then that description sure will, it sounds good enough to eat. When I popped my little Pumpkin Bath Bomb in the bath it was super fizzy and whizzed around the bath creating bright orange water and the smell.... wow it's so nice, it contains sweet, comforting vanilla absolute and spicy Cinnamon which gives it a rich, biscuity fragrance of home-baking and I also get a light orange scent from this bath bomb too. It's definitely the perfect bath bomb if you like your foodie scents and the added spiciness plus the orange give it that warming, cosy, Christmas vibe which I love, you could definitely confuse this as a Christmas bath bomb to be honest as it's smells really quite festive. When I got out the bath my skin was super soft, not as moisturising as some of the Lush bath bombs but it's definitely not drying either and there was no orange staining around my bath afterwards, woohoo!

Overall I'd highly recommend giving this cute little Pumpkin a whirl, especially if your into your foodie, festive scents like me. I'm kind of sad I didn't stock up and get a couple of these as this is my favourite Lush new release that I've tried so far!
