MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

I have finally managed to get my hands on one of the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer's, wowza these little beauties are popular, ever since they have been released I've been trying to get my hands on some but they where always sold out and now I know why, as they are beautiful!!!

There are 5 shades in the Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer collection...
♥ Atomic
♥ Reckless
♥ Criminal
♥ Funk
♥ Kooky
All of which are pretty show stopping shades.

The shade I opted for was Reckless, a matte blue based red that's extremely bold and eye catching, its very much a classic red lip kind of shade. As for application.... Reckless applies well and is opaque after one coat, but as its such a bold colour theres no room for error whilst applying as if you do make a mistake its quite hard to correct, the lacquer also has a tacky/sticky feeling once you've applied it but this soon goes after a few seconds when the lacquer has set. As the lacquer is matte is does feel ever so slightly drying on the lips, but then I find most matte lip products have that dryer feeling, so for me that wasn't a major and I was expecting that anyway.
The lasting power of Reckless is simply incredible, it claims to be waterproof and smudge proof and the claims aren't wrong, the lacquer was on my lips around 5-6 hours before I could do with a slight touch up which I think is amazing, that's with eating a drinking, it also never transferred on cups or kisses making it perfect for Valentines Day he he.

I also really favour the packaging of the whole Luxe London range, I think it makes the products look so much more expensive than they actually are, and the frosted glass effect tube that the Lip Lacquers come in is really lovely.

Overall yet again I'm super impressed with MUA, they really are on fire with their releases recently and the fact you can get such high quality results from the high street is fabulous. The MUA Lip Lacquers will set you back just £3, yup that's right £3, what a beauty bargain!!!

Have you tried anything from MUA's Luxe London Collection??? What did you think???

Don't forget you can enter my GIVEAWAY here to be in with a chance of winning a MAC lipstick and a MAC eyeshadow of your choice!!!

  2. I'm not usually a lip gloss kind of girl (though my vast collection would say otherwise), I don't like the stickiness on my lips and find my hair always get's caught in it - resulting in streaks of lip gloss strewn across my cheeks. That aside, this looks absolutely gorgeous with the matte finish! I may have to rethink my gloss hatred and invest!

  12. The colour is stunning but if there's no room for mistakes I'm going to have to give it a miss. My hands are too shaky and cause plenty of errors while applying lip products.

    1. Yeah id say it's the products only bad point really, as once it on it doesnt budge and because of it high pigmentation it stains the skin instantly, you couldnt whip this on in a rush thats for sure haha xoxo

  16. I have been very tempted by these but having read such mixed reviews I decided not to bother buying any myself, even though they are only £3! Although some people have said they last really well others have said that quite quickly they kind of crack and flake off. As my lips really don't like matte formulas I think I would probably find the latter was the case for me x
