Sleek MakeUP CC Cream Review

Hey beaut's!!

Now that the Summer has finally arrived in the UK I thought it would be the perfect time to try out another CC Cream, so today I have Sleeks offering to share with you all.

Sleek's CC Cream* comes in 4 different shades Fair, Light, Medium and Dark and claims to boost radiance and mattify shine and the long-lasting complexion corrector cream also claims to treats and conceal imperfections, sounds pretty great right!?
The shade I have is in Light, which I have to say is pretty dark for something that claims to be light and I think I could definitely of got away with the fair shade, that being said Light is OK for me in the summer months when I have abit of a tan going on so it's not too bad but just bare that in mind if you decide to try it out. The formula of Sleeks CC Cream is very nice and great to work with, it's extremely moisturising and nourishes the skin and combats dull and uneven skin tones leaving you with a beautifully fresh, even complexion. The CC cream also contains vitamin C which helps to protect your skin against damage caused by free radicals, it also reduces fine lines, wrinkles and improves skin elasticity and if that wasn't enough it also has an SPF 29 making it perfect to take away with you on holiday or throughout the Summer months. The coverage of the CC cream is medium but buildable however you'd still need to use some concealer on any dark blemishes or spots. The finish of the CC Cream I really do favour, it's somewhat matte but still has a dewy-ness about it too,  it's unique colour adaptive technology really helps the CC creams blending ability making it feel like a second skin and really does combat redness, the technology also makes the skin appear brighter and enhances the skins natural radiance, whilst keeping any shine at bay!
Overall as far as CC creams go this really is a good'un and since we've been in the middle of a heatwave in the UK recently its really been under the ultimate test and passed with flying colours... It's been amazing at keeping any shine to a minimum and I really love that the finish isn't full on matte and flat looking, it doesn't cling to any of my dry patches and blends in relatively quick, it doesn't ever look cakey or oily on my skin and the added SPF has been a complete bonus recently... Yes the shade is slightly too dark for me when I've not got a tan but the colour adaptive technology really does well at blending in with my skin tone and when using a small amount I can just about get away with it when I'm not so tanned. As for the packaging... It holds 25ml's of CC cream and really isn't that exciting and the plain white part of the packaging does get grubby quickly but in the end it does the job!

You can find the Sleek CC Cream on the Sleek MakeUP website for £8.99 or in selected Superdrug stores.

Have you tried the Sleek CC Cream beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in Ivory | Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Quite a while back now I decided to pick up the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream as I'd heard so many good things about it and wanted try something that felt lighter on my skin for the Spring/Summer months. I must admit this was my very first CC Cream purchase so I really didn't know what to expect or how a CC Cream would benefit me, but after using the Bourjois offering for over a month now I'm 100% confident in saying I LOVE this product and Bourjois really have come up with a cracking CC Cream!
The Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream is available in 4 shades, Ivory, Light Beige, Rose Beige and Bronze, on this occasion I opted for the lightest shade Ivory, which matches my skin tone perfectly right now as I'm rather pale but when the weather heats up abit more and I start to get a tan going on I'll definitely need to go up a shade, I think it's nice that Bourjois offer a nice variety of shades as usually I find CC/BB Creams just come in light-medium etc. The CC Cream comes packaged in a plastic tube which holds 30ml's worth of product and has no dispenser or pump, instead its one of the squeezable, screw cap jobbie's which I do like, at least you know you can use all the product up and not waste any, I also cut these sort of plastic tubes open when I think I'm finished as there always 2-3 applications left in little secret hiding places within the tube ha ha.
The CC Cream itself contains 3 colour correcting pigments, Apricot to counteract the signs of fatigue, Green to disguise any traces of redness and White to conceal those dark spots and blemish's, it also contains SPF 15 and offers 24 hours of hydration, making it perfect for anyone with drier skin like myself. With all of the above combined the CC Creams aim is to give us a fresh, luminous complexion and smooth skin, which is something I always want please ha ha. So does the 123 Perfect CC Cream live up to it's claims? I'd have to say yes is does, I have major love for this product! It seems to just make my skin look amazing and is such a great pick me up in the mornings.

The consistency of the CC Cream is quite thin and rather runny so bare that in mind when squeezing it out onto your hand, I like to apply the CC Cream by dabbing my Nanshy Flat Top Buffer Brush onto my hand to pick up some product and then dot it around my face before blending, I have used my hands and my beauty blender for this but I just prefer how my Nanshy Brush works, it just blends the cream quickly, flawlessly and doesn't need much work at all blending wise which saves me time in the mornings woohoo. The finish and the coverage that the CC Cream provides is so lovely, because of the thin texture the finish feels like a healthy, luminous second skin, it honestly feels as light as air on my skin and doesn't cling to a single dry patch. The coverage I'd say is light to medium and is definitely buildable on problematic area's, but essentially it evens out the skin tone. Personally I think this would amazingly as a base for anyone who suffers from acne because it isn't drying so it wouldn't cling to the skin and it would help fight against the redness and smooth out the skin. Because the Bourjois CC Cream gives us a luminous complexion I was worried about looking like a disco ball but in actual fact the CC Cream doesnt contain any noticeable light reflecting particles at all, which is great if your looking for a luminous look without the sparkle.
Overall I think Bourjois have provided us with yet another hit from their base collection, they really do know how to create amazing base makeup with a good amount of coverage that feels so lightweight don't they? I can honestly see myself repurchasing this over and over again, a huge 10 out of 10 for me. I have also picked up their CC Eye Cream/Concealer so expect a full review of that coming soon beauties!

Have you tried Bourjois' CC Cream yet beaut's?? What did you think?? Was you as blown away as I am??

What Make-Up Have I Been Loving This Week? ♥

Hey beaut's!

Today I thought I'd do something a little different, I always do my monthly beauty favourites but I thought every now and again I could switch things up and show you what makeup I've been loving to wear throughout that particular week. Do let me know if you like the idea beaut's, is it a yay or nay ha ha!

Anyway onto this weeks makeup delights...

MAC All That Glitter Eyeshadow
I have been somewhat addicted to MAC's All That Glitters eyeshadow again this week, it's a gorgeous shimmery bronze/gold shade and is just so easy to pop on all over the lid then blend blend blend, and hey presto, I'm good to go, I just love it! I literally couldn't live without this eyeshadow in my life now, it's pigmentation is fabulous, its blends out effortlessly, it lasts all day on my oily eyelids and I think it really compliments my brown eyes too, perfect!!

Barry M Shape and Define Brow Kit
This little brow kit from Barry M has fast become a favourite of mine and I've been using it everyday for the last 3 weeks to fill in my eyebrows perfectly. Not only is the wax and the brow powder brilliant in quality but I love the fact you get a little brush and a pair of cute little tweezers too, it's such a lovely kit for the bargain price of £5.99. I do have a full review of the kit for you to take a peek at HERE.

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in Ivory
Believe it or not the Bourjois CC Cream is the first CC Cream I've ever tried so I don't have another to compare it too but my goodness it's a goodun, it literally feels like a second skin, it provides a good amount of coverage, combats redness and dark spots, evens out the skin tone, hydrates the skin and leaves you with a fresh luminous finish, what's not to love!

Seventeen Cheek Stamp in Blushin'
I had been eyeing up the Seventeen Cheek Stamp in Blushin' for a while but I wasn't sure about the whole 'stamp' aspect of it, however curiosity caught me and I treated myself and I'm so glad I did now because I love it! It's just gives such a pretty, natural flush to the cheeks without actually looking like you've used blusher. I'll be doing a full review for you all on this blush soon beaut's.

Tanya Burr Lip Glosses in Aurora, Picnic in the Park and Exotic Island

Arrhh I'm so in love with Tanya Burr's lip glosses and I have been wearing them everyday since I got them, they are just so pretty and have amazing quality. What impresses me the most about the lovely Tanya Burr's glosses is the gorgeous formula, it's unlike any formula that I've tried from a gloss before, it's ultra glossy, super moisturising and best of all non sticky. You can find my full review with lots of pictures and me wearing each shade HERE.

What makeup have you been enjoying this week beaut's? I'd love to know!
