May Beauty Favourites!

Hey beaut's!

It's favourites time again... This month has been filled with quite a lot of warmth and sunshine which makes me very happy and obviously we had the Royal Wedding which I was absolutely glued too, we even had a tea party for the occasion, it was immense and Meghan looked obviously stunning as always!
This months favourites features some oldies but goodies and one new product that I'm totally obsessed with! Firstly I dug my Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette back out because not only is the palette absolutely fierce for the Autumn months but it's scorching hot for the Spring/Summer months too, I really want the Naked Petite Palette now too!
The Tanya Burr Peonies Please Illuminating Powder has been my total obsession since last August to be honest, it's the prettiest blush/highlight hybrid I've ever seen or used, the pinky glow is just stunning and perfect for Spring/Summer, if you haven't tried this yet then you need to beaut's!

I've been using the PMD Kiss Lip Plumping System for the last two months and have become totally obsessed with it, I do have a full review HERE with before and after picture's if you want to know more about it, but basically it's an at home lip plumping treatment that uses a pulsating vacuum along with a serum to safely boost collagen in the lips to create more volume! It's so quick and easy to use and it really does works beaut's, I'm a little addicted to it now I must admit he he!

I've had Vichy's Dermablend Fluid Corrective Foundation in my stash for ages, I hadn't really used it much because my skin was slightly drier before, but I seem to have turned more oily/combination over the last few months so decided to try it out again and I bloody well love it! The coverage is incredible and it lasts all day without the need for touch ups yet it's so lightweight and doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything most of the time. It has a semi matte finish to so it controls my oily patches but still leaves my skin with an ever so slight glow to it!

Finally this month my perfume of choice has been Vera Wang's Hippie Princess, I always get this one out at this time of the year because it's very fruity and sweet and always reminds me of Summer!

What have you been loving this month beaut's? I'd love to know!

Tanya Burr Selfie Lash Mascara Review

Hey beaut's!

Back in March whilst browsing in Superdrug before I started work - ya know as you do - I happened to see all of the Tanya Burr makeup was reduced including her latest 'Selfie' collection, I had wanted to try the Selfie Collection for a while but the price and the fact I always find Tanya's makeup to be a bit hit and miss put me off but when I saw that the mascara was just £3.99 I just had to try it, I also grabbed the brow pencil too for just 99p, what a bargain!
As I said before I've always found Tanya's makeup pretty hit and miss and in all honesty I wasn't expecting much at all from this mascara, it claimed to achieve the perfect selfie-ready look with drama and separation but that's all I could find on this beauty before trying it, so their wasn't any super bold claims here. The mascara itself comes in gold and black packaging which I really like, it also looks super pretty rolling around on my dressing table which is always a bonus he he. The wand is long, thin and rubberised with quite spiky bristles, I've always said I'm not the biggest fan of rubber/plastic wands but this one isn't too bad all at, although it is quite bendy (I'm guessing with the intention to get to hard to reach lashes) and I have had a couple of mishaps during application where it's bended into my eye slightly so just be cautious of that!
The formula of the Selfie Lash mascara is really nice, it's super black, very lightweight on the lashes and doesn't dry hard. It applies so well and is mega buildable, you can literally pop coat upon coat of this stuff on without a single clump in sight and I love that, it allows you to have your lashes more natural with one or two coats or you can really build up to a dramatic look. I like my lashes to be quite long and lifted and this mascara achieves that well after around 3 coats, it separates my lashes too which gives a fluttery effect and this stuff lasts like no other, I cant actually believe that it doesn't flake, smudge or transfer because that's exactly what I was expecting to be honest. I can literally put this on a 7am before work and when I take it off at 8pm it's still standing strong, it's bloody amazing!
Overall I really cant recommend this mascara enough, if your looking for something to lengthen, separate and lift your lashes without a single clump, smudge or flake in sight then Selfie Lash could be the one for you. As far as I'm aware all Superdrug stores have reduced Tanya's makeup to clear for some reason, I'm not sure if everything is being repackaged as I cant find anything about it online, however you can still find the Selfie Lash Mascara on Feel Unique for £5.95.

You can buy Tanya Burr Selfie Lash Mascara here.

Tanya's Christmas Reviewed!

Hey beaut's!

When I heard Tanya Burr was releasing a new book about all things Christmas I knew it had to be mine, not only am I a lover of Tanya Burr and her other two books but my biggest love in life in Christmas, I honestly start getting excited for Christmas in August and as soon as the shops get anything Christmas related in I'm there, so I knew from the off I'd love this book.
Tanya's Christmas 'Make, Bake and Celbrate' features seven festive chapters which will have you totally covered for Christmas, from finding the perfect gift, decorating your home and hosting a party to remember, to cooking roast turkey with all the trimmings, craft projects, baking indulgent festive treats and even festive hair and make-up tips, theres literally everything in this book!
I think my favourite part of the book is definitely the recipes, theres over 50 food and drink recipes to follow from traditional Christmas Cake or Christmas Pudding to a Chocolate Orange Tear and Share Cookie and Gingerbread Cupcakes, theres so many sweet treats to make and bake. There's also quite a few savoury options including Christmas nibbles,  a breakdown of how to make the perfect 'stress free' Christmas Dinner to a yummy Boxing Day Brunch and even a New Year Ham, and what really finished off the recipes on a high note for me is that theres even a recipe for doggy biscuits which I think is so cute and I'm definitely going to be making them for my Alfie this Christmas.
I think my other favourite part of the book would have to be the crafts and DIY's, theres everything from making your own wreath, place names, Christmas cards, pot pouri, body scrub, photo album, the list literally goes on and on and most of them could be great homemade gifts too which I think is lovely! You also get an insight into Tanya's favourite Christmas films and songs, theres a Christmas quiz, Tanya's top Christmas board games and books, fashion tips, the book is literally crammed full of all things Christmas, it's amazing!
Overall if your a lover of Christmas as well as Tanya then I think you will really enjoy this book, it's made me feel so so Christmassy and I haven't been able to put the book down since I started reading it. I love how to whole idea of this book is to make your Christmas so enjoyable and to make the most out of Christmas and since reading it - it does indeed give me so many ideas, I bloody love it!

Tanya Burr 'Peonies Please' Illuminating Powder Review

Hey beaut's!

I've had the Tanya Burr Illuminating Powder in Peonies Please on my wish list foo quite some time now, and luckily for me my best friend Kate from Kate's Closet treated me to it for my birthday, yayyy thank you lovely! I've been using this powder pretty much every single day since my birthday so I thought it was about time I gave it a cheeky review.
The Tanya Burr 'Peonies Please' Illuminating Powder comes packaged in a nice sturdy compact with a clear lid and gold trim, usually I'm not a fan of makeup with clear lids but just look how beautiful that marble effect is on the powder, it's stunning! The powder itself has a baked feel and the pigmentation is really good so I'd definitely suggest using a light hand here, I quite like to use a fan brush to apply it so I'm not picking up too much product at once and I find this way the best for me, it blends beautifully. As for the colour... I mean it's just gorgeous, it's kind of a two in one product that not only adds a rosy glow to the cheeks but it highlights at the same time, its very healthy looking and dewy which is right up my street and even though it does contain minute shimmers there not too over the top or chunky!

If your a lover of all things glowy and radiant like I am then I think your going to love this illuminating powder, it adds such a natural rosy glow without being super sparkly or glittery and it blends onto the skin so easily, I love it!

You can find the Tanya Burr Peonies Please Illuminating Powder for £7.49 HERE.

Tanya Burr Lipstick in Pink Cocoa Reviewed!

Hey beaut's!

I have been waiting soooooo long to try Tanya Burr's lippie in Pink Cocoa, it's forever out of stock online and my Superdrug never even stocked her lipsticks in-store, well that was until recently when they had a huge refurbishment and now stock all the makeup I could ever wish for, so when I saw they finally had Pink Cocoa in stock I snapped it up straight away.
Pink Cocoa is the most stunning shade, it's a pinky brown toned nude perfect for everyday wear but it's totally evening worthy too, it's also the kind of shade that's perfect for all seasons and would go with most makeup looks from the stripped back to the more dramatic. The formula of the lipstick itself is stunning, it has a super creamy texture which is enriched with Vitamin E and a satin finish which feels so lightweight and nourishing on the lips, perfect for anyone who has slightly drier lips like I always do, and the pigmentation is fully opaque after one swipe so theres no need to build up the intensity of colour. Staying power is pretty good too, once the lippie has been on for a good hour or so the creaminess does dry down to more of a semi matte finish but it still stays in place well without fading for a good 3 hours or so without clinging to any dry patches which is perfect for me.
Also can we just take a minute to appreciate how pretty the packaging of the lipstick is, it comes in gorgeous gold coloured metal case which feels very lux and I definitely get YSL vibes from it. It certainly looks stunning on my dressing table and when I pull it out of my makeup bag or handbag for top ups.
Overall I'm so happy I managed to pick the shade Pink Cocoa up and I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how much I love the formula, I had no idea what to expect from Tanya's lippies but the satin finish is my favourite, I'm so happy their super creamy and not drying in the slightest and the colour Pink Cocoa is absolutely stunning and something I reach for everyday! I'll definitely be treated myself to a couple of her other shades within the collection soon.

You can find Tanya's Burr's Lipstick in Pink Cocoa for £6.99 HERE.

January Sales Haul

Hey beaut's!

Every year I always look forward to seeing what beauty bits and bobs go into the Boxing Day sales, I'm always on the hunt for that beauty bargain and this year I got a couple things that I was super chuffed with so I thought I'd to a little haul and share them with you all.

Lush
The one sale that I really look forward to every year is Lush, for the past few years I've always been on the computer by 9am ready to buy all the festive goodies at an amazing 50% off, however I'm sure I'm not alone in saying this - but just like last year and the year before placing a sale order with Lush was a nightmare! They had me in a que of 32'000 people all day and I never got on the site until around 6pm and by that time most things had sold out, never the less I did manage to place a very small order stocking up on more Snow Fairy shower gel and a couple of my favourite bath bombs that they had left.

Superdrug
From Superdrug I managed to pick up quite a few bargains starting with the Tanya Burr Its Cold Outside Lip Gloss, Blush & Highlight Set which was only £2.99 reduced from £11.00 which I thought was such a steal. I also managed to grab a couple of things from Zoella's Christmas range too, I stocked up on another Hungry Hands Hand Cream because I adore it so much and it was just £1.99 reduced from £6.00, I then decided to pick up her Deck The Baubles Bubble Bath to try which was £1.49 reduced down from £6.00. The final bargain I picked up is probably my favourite out of this entire haul and that's the Real Techniques Your Picks Makeup Brush Set which was just £9.99 reduced from £19.99. This limited edition collection includes five of the best Real Techniques brushes and comes with printed street art handles inspired by graffiti, murals and paintings in Berlin.

Boots
Finally from Boots I did pick quite a few things up however most of them where gifts for my Mums birthday and as my lovely Mum reads my blog I cant share them with you all however I did treat myself to my favourite Yankee Candle 'Christmas Cookie', amazingly it was only £10.99 for the large jar which I just couldn't pass up.

What bargains did you get in the sales beaut's? I love to know!

Blogmas Day 13 - What I Got Inside My Tanya Burr Advent Calendar

Hey beaut's!

Welcome to blogmas day thirteen...I have never had a beauty advent calendar before and for years I've always looked at them and then looked at the price and thought 'no way' because their always so expensive, however this year I saw Tanya Burr's Advent Calendar on sale in Superdrug for £15.00 so I just had to have it, and teamed with the £5.00 worth of points I had on my beauty card I manged to get it for just a tenner, what a bargain. Tanya's Advent is a 12 days of Christmas one so I could of either opened it when there was 12 days of Christmas left to go, opened it every other day until Christmas or just open it on the 1st of December and that's exactly what I done because I just couldn't wait, so as I finished opening all the doors yesterday I thought I would share with you all what I got inside.
Day 1. Candy Cane Lip Gloss - I've always loved the formula of Tanya Burr's lip glosses as their not super thick, sticky or gloopy and this fuchsia coloured gloss is such a pretty colour that I can see me wearing in the summer months as well as now to be honest.
Day 2. Mini Tanya Burr Nail File - Not the most exciting thing to find in an advent calendar, however it was practical because I have lost all of my nail files so this little beauty did come in handy.
Day 3. Tanya Burr Mirror - Again nothing much exciting here but I needed a new handbag mirror so it came in useful.
Day 4. Champagne Sparkle Eye Shimmer Pot - This is such a stunning gold glitter pigment, perfect for pushing over any gold eyeshadow looks.
Day 5. Berry Pavlova Lip Gloss - Another gorgeous gloss perfect for Christmas because it's a pretty red shade.
Day 6. Glitters and Gold Nail Polish - This is one of my absolute favourites from this calendar, it's a full size glitter top coat that's crammed fulled on gold sparkling glitters, I love it.
Day 7. Ice Crystals Glitter Liner - I love glitter liners at this time of year but usually I always use gold ones so I'm excited to try this silver one.
Day 8. Snow Day Eye Shimmer Pot - Another pretty glitter pigment, this time it's a white glitter that reflects blue and turquoise, I've never seen anything like it before, it's lush.
Day 9. Christmas Stocking Matt Liquid Lipstick - Woohoo a liquid lipstick, this one is a bright true red shade perfect to wear on Christmas Day which is what I plan on doing.
10. Treasured Glitter Liner - Another glitter liner but this one is such a nice gold colour, I actually put this straight on when I opened it, it's so sparkly and twinkles in the light beautifully, this is going to come in very handy during the party season.
11. Sleigh Bell Nail Polish - Oh my goodness I love this nail polish so much, this one is actually a red polish with loads of tiny red glitters suspended within it, so it's a bit different to Glitters and Gold that I got in day 6 as that was a glittery top coat whereas this is in a proper glitter polish.
12. Glitter Rain Nail Polish - This is basically the silver version of Glitters and Gold from day 6, it's a clear top coat that's crammed full of different sized silver glitters, it's so pretty.

Overall I really enjoyed having a beauty advent calendar this year and I'm really happy with what I got inside Tanya Burr's offering, as you can see everything is super festive and Christmas inspired with lots of glitter and sparkle which is just what I love. Everything within the calendar is limited edition too which makes is that extra bit special because these shades and products wont be available again.

Did you get the Tanya Burr 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calender? What did you think? I'd love to know!
