Festival Must Haves!

Fancy getting festival ready...Festival season is here and when I think of festivals I think of my favourite things... makeup and glitter... they are literally a match made in festival heaven! You can literally go crazy with makeup at festivals, I'm talking bright colours and plenty of glitz and sparkle, so today I thought I'd share with you a few products that will have you looking festival ready in no time!

Loose glitter is something you just have to wear at a festival, you can whack it literally everywhere whether you want to jazz up your shoulders or do a fancy glitter look on the side of your face, and the best loose glitter I've found is by Essence, they have a loose glitter and pigments collection which consists of 15 different styles, shapes and colours of glitter and it sticks on really well with their Get Your Glitter On Primer, their all £3.00 or less too which is such a bargain!

If you want to go for some glitter and sparkle which doesn't need a glitter glue or primer then Urban Decay, Stila, Collection and Technic Cosmetics do some amazing ones! They all work in pretty much the same way, they all have glitter suspended within a clear -liquid liner style- formula so you can just paint them on wherever you like, even on the eyelids!

Urban Decays Moosdust Palette is literally where the parties at, it contains eight twinkling shades which all have micro fine bits of sparkle within the formula to give them a 3D diamond-like effect, I have to say they do look pretty spectacular on the eyelids and the colour range is so fun and vibrant!

You cant go to a festival without some highlighter and I think Technic's Rainbow Highlighter is perfect, you can use the rainbow segments separately with a small brush if you wish but I like to swirl a brush through all the colours because it creates a very pretty icy lilac shade, it does contain quite a bit of micro glitter but hey if your using a rainbow highlighter and going to a festival I expect to go all out with glitter and sparkle so I'm happy with that!

For lips it's all about going for something fun but long lasting as your not going to want to touch up your lippie through the day really and Maybelline's Super Stay Matte Ink's are probably the most long lasting lip products I own, they come in so many different colours and I think Heroine (orange), Creator (purple) and Pioneer (red) would be awesome festival shades!

Pre-glued stick on nails are literally a must for festivals, they apply super quickly, you can even whack them on in your tent as their fuss free and your literally spoilt for choice with them amount pattens and designs you can get! I'm loving these new Elegant Touch InstaNails* at the moment, these hot pink ones are just lush! 

My final festival must have is a makeup setting spray because nobody got time to carry makeup on them for top ups during the day at a festival, and what better spray to use than my all time favourite Urban Decay All Nighter (£10.00)! I've gone through bottles of this stuff, it really does make my makeup stay put for so much longer and I love that Urban Decay have a smaller travel friendly version of this best seller, it makes it so easy to take away with you when you packing light!

Festival Essentials by Urban Decay!

Fancy getting festival ready...Summer isn't quite over yet and theres still some festivals and holidays left to party at and when I think of festivals and then think of my favourite thing... makeup... they are literally a match made in heaven! You can literally go crazy with makeup at festivals, I'm talking bright colours and plenty of glitz and sparkle, and Urban Decay have got us totally covered in the department! PS can we all just appciate how funky the Las Bayadas Blanket* is in the backrground, I love those bright stripes!  

The Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Palette* (£36.00) is literally where the parties at, it contains eight twinkling shades which all have micro fine bits of sparkle within the formula to give them a 3D diamond-like effect, I have to say they do look pretty spectacular on the eyelids. The only shade that's pretty 'out there' for me is the green shade called 'Lightyear' the rest are definitely wearable for me whether I'm going to a festival or want to add some sparkle to an everyday or evening look. Formula wise....I'm impressed, despite being glitters they still have good pigment and depth of colour and the glitter isn't chunky at all, its super fine glitter which is easy to apply with a flat packing brush or your fingertips, yes there is fall out during application as you'd expect really, so I'd suggest doing your base makeup after you eye makeup if your using these shades during the day but hey I'd rock the fall out at a festival, the more glitter the better for me he he.

Urban Decay have these awesome Vice Special Effects Long-Lasting Water-Resistant Lip Topcoats* (£15.50) that can transform any lip look. Theres twelve stunning shades within the collection but I have the shade Monarchy which is a gorgeous dark purple that's crammed full of the prettiest sparkles. What I love about these lip topcoats is that they are super lightweight yet waterproof making them not only uber long lasting and perfect for festivals when you don't want to top up any of your makeup but really comfortable to wear too. Going back to the eyes... whats better than glitter.... more glitter! I'm totally obsessed with the Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner* in Spandex (£15.00), this is such a versatile glitter liner because not only can you use it as an eyeliner, you can use it all over the face to add a pretty twinkle and all over and around the eyes. If your looking for a metallic liquid eyeliner that lasts then you HAVE to try the Razor Sharp Long-Wear Liquid Eyeliner in Gold Rush* (£17.00), my goodness this stuff doesn't budge for daysssss, I've literally never found a liquid liner with such good lasting power in my life, this stuff wont budge, run, smudge or flake and the colour is just stunning, just like liquid gold! 

A festival must have is makeup setting spray because nobody got time to carry makeup on them for top ups during the day at a festival, and what better spray to use than my all time favourite Urban Decay All Nighter* (£10.00)! I've gone through bottles of this stuff, it really does make my makeup stay put for so much longer - I'm talking a good 12 hours (full working day) without any fading, caking, melting and some how it smooths out any makeup that might have set into my fine lines too. I love that Urban Decay have a smaller travel friendly version of this best seller, it makes it so easy to take away with you when you packing light!

June Glossybox Review | The Festival Edit

So its that time again... Glossybox time!!! This month Glossybox have been getting into the Summer/Festival mood and have bought us a 'Festival' themed box with the promise of three full size products and two samples that will last us the entire Summer. I must admit when I first opened this months box I wasn't overly impressed, but after having a little play and read up of each product I'm actually really happy with what I got, and I'll get use out of every single product I got too which is a major plus.

 Anywhoo lets see what I received inside my June Glossybox...

Halo Fragrance Free Facial Wipes | Travel Size | £1.20

These handy little wipes by Halo are fragrance free and suitable for all skin types especially sensitive skin and are definitely a festival, summer, handbag and beach bag essential. You get 10 wipes in each little packet and you can honestly use them for anything, taking your makeup off when your at a festival, refreshing your face when your on a beach holiday, wiping your hands and because they contain Aloe Vera they'd also be great at calming sunned-out skin too, absolutely love the sound of these.

Essence Gel Nail Polish in Prince Charming | Full Size | £1.71

Essence are a brand I'm really interested in at the moment, I've tried and loved their Princess Mascara and their fast drying nail polish, both of which I've received in previous Glossyboxes and it's really opened my eyes up to Essence as a brand so I'm super happy I now have another one of their nail polishes to try. The shade I got was 'Prince Charming' which is a greenish turquoise shade with the most beautiful duo-chrome pearl shimmer running through it, perfect for this time of year and as it's a gel polish I have a feeling the lasting power is going to be fab!

Glossybox Flash Tattoos | Full Size | £6.50

Faux tattoos are bang on trend at the moment and perfect to wear at festivals and during the evening when your on holiday somewhere nice and hot. I must admit these Glossybox flash tattoos aren't they prettiest Ive seen but there are a couple on the sheet that I'd certainly wear.

MONU Rosewood Reviving Mist | Sample | Full Size £11.95

I love MONU and have used many of their skin care products in the past so I'm super happy I now have their reviving mist to try. You can use the mist over your face to either refresh your skin on a hot day, set your makeup or to hydrate your skin after a bath, shower or swim, sounds pretty good to me and a definite essential for the summer. 

Kueshi Anticellulite Booster | Full Size | £14.55 

The Kueshi Anticellulite Booster is a lightweight cream that claims to stimulate blood circulation which in turn will tone your skin and fight off any cellulite dimples. It sounds pretty good to me but I think we all know that no lotion is going to banish all signs of cellulite. I'll definitely give this little beauty a go and if it works slightly then it's certainly something that can help achieve summer ready pins.

Rimmel Colourfest 60 Seconds Nail Polish by Rita Ora Review ♥

I'm pretty much obsessed with buying nail polishes at the moment, I honestly have no idea what's wrong with me, the minute I see a cute nail polish it's in my basket immediately before I've even had chance to look at the price, I know I'm so terrible aren't I he he. The latest cuties that caught my eye are from Rimmel's Colourfest 60 Seconds Nail Polish Range by Rita Ora, the limited edition collection developed by Rita Ora is inspired by festivals and also contains an all new range of lip glosses too. 

 The packaging of the Colourfest collection is so cute, each shade comes in little glass, transparent bottles and what makes the bottles so god damn cute is the black cap has little daisy flowers on which I love, it just makes the polishes look even more Spring/Summer doesn't it? As I said before all twelve shades in this collection are inspired by festivals, they honestly just scream Spring and Summer to me with a beautiful range of pastels and brights. I decided to buy three shades out of the twelve to try and honestly I've fallen in love with them and want to buy them all now he he. 

The shades I opted for where Glaston-Berry, a bright rosey red nail polish with an orange undertone. Peachella, a gorgeous pastel peach shade, honestly my pictures doesn't do it justice at all, its a lot more peachy in person and such a stunning shade, and lastly my favourite out of the three I bought is Wild-Er-Ness, a pretty pastel lavender/lilac shade. 

The formula of the three shades I tried in the Colourfest Collection is really nice, it has a really creamy feel to it so it goes on the nails really nicely and after two coats your left with streak free, fully opaque, high shine nails that look super pretty, and the formula is quick drying in 60 seconds too which is an absolute winner for me (and for a lot of gals out there too I'm sure) because I hate sitting around waiting for my nails to dry. As for lasting power... Rimmel claim that the formula of the Colourfest Collection is chip resistant and can last for up to 10 days, well on me these polishes all lasted a good 4-5 days before I noticed some ever so slight chipping, however I'm very hands on with my job and at home so 4-5 days is brilliant for my nails, depending on your nails condition and if your very hands on like me will definitely change the wear time so you may be able to get much more out of these polishes than I can.

Overall I absolutely love this collection and will definitely be picking some of the other shades up very soon, the colours in the entire range are just stunning and totally worth investing in considering they are only £2.99 a bottle, woohoo bargain!
