Guerlain Face, Eyes and Lips Palette Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

It's that time of year when we are all either booking up our Summer holidays or making some sort of travel plans and we all start buying bit and bobs to put aways for our holidays and recently I came across something perfect for travelling in the beauty world, say hello to the Guerlain Les Couleurs de La Petite Robe Noire Face, Eyes, Lips Palette*.
The Guerlain Les Couleurs de La Petite Robe Noire Face, Eyes, Lips Palette (£46.00) comes housed in a small, black, fabric, zip up case which is so cute and really secure for travelling with. When opening up the case you are met with a sizable mirror within the lid and a mini Guerlain face brush that's kept secure by a piece of fabric elastic. The base of the palette is where the makeup party starts he he, firstly theres a large pan of translucent, pressed powder that's perfect for setting all your makeup into place or to touch up any shine on the go, I've also been using the translucent powder for highlighting under my eye area, it seems to work really well since it's quite a light powder. Next theres a small, triangular pan of matte blush which is super pretty for Spring/Summer, I absolutely love it's coral undertones and the fact it isn't crammed full of un-necessary glitter or shimmer is a major plus for me.
Then theres 3 eye shadows to play with all of which have a metallic, shimmer finish, theres a frosty baby pink shade, a silver/grey shade and a frosty dark purple shade. I absolutely love all the shades and think the combination work well together and you could easily create a couple of looks out of them. All the eyeshadows have a good amount of pigmentation, are super buttery when you swatch them however.... They are quite glitzy and I did experience some glittery fall out during application, although this doesn't bother me to much because I can just brush it away with my foundation brush, I know it can rather annoying so that something to take into consideration with this little set. Lastly to complete the palette and your look theres a mini Guerlain lip gloss, the shade of this is lovely, it's one of those 'your lips but better' shades that's so easy to wear and goes with all makeup looks, it is slightly glittery but nothing to over the top and isn't sticky in the slightest like alot of glosses usually are.
Overall I think this Guerlain Face, Eyes and Lips Palette is an absolute hit and is so great for travelling, sometimes I find travel friendly palettes to be hit and miss but everything within this palette I really do like and even though I haven't been travelling I've incorporated it into my everyday routine and have been loving it.

Have you tried the Guerlain Les Couleurs de La Petite Robe Noire Face, Eyes, Lips Palette beaut's?? What did you think, would you take it on your holiday with you?? I'd love to know!!

Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen Review

Hey beaut's!

I'm pretty obsessed with liquid liner at the moment, I wont leave the house unless I have my trademark winged liner on which has led me to trying loads of different liners and I've found that the felt tip style are definitely my best friends, however I have tried my fair share of good and bad felt-tip style liquid liners but today I have an absolutely brilliant one to share with you all, the Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen* in Noir.
The Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen is by far the easiest liner I've used to date, the felt-tip nib is perfect at delivering smooth, precise lines whether you want them thick of thin, it isn't to hard or to soft, it has the right amount of flexibility to create wings/flicks with absolute ease and I would highly recommend this liner if you do struggle with creating liner flicks as the Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen makes it so easy, I certainly wish I had this when I was perfecting the art of liquid liner as it would have been so much easier for me to learn. The formula of the Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen is great... It is water-based so does come out quite wet and inky and takes a few seconds to dry and it contains special pigments that ensure long wear and keeps it's bold black colour from running. The finish of the liner is slightly shiny and still looks quite inky but personally I love that look, it isn't waterproof but once this liner sets, it does not seem to budge or transfer what so ever. My overall experience based on regular work days is it honestly doesn't budge all day and looks the same late at night as when I applied it first thing in the morning.
Overall I'm so impressed by this liner, it's everything I want and look for in a liquid liner, it's easy to use, creates wing/flicks with ease, stays put all day without fading or smudging, doesn't tug at the delicate skin around the eye area during application and the felt-tip nib is of great quality with a firm tip that doesn't fray at all. The only down side I'd say it that it is pricey at £30.00 from the Cosme-De website, but then again that's to be expected if your looking at higher end liners and I have to admit pricey or not its worth every penny because its blooming brilliant! So if your looking to treat yourself or splurge then I'd highly recommend the Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen.

Have you tried the Chanel Ecriture De Chanel Eyeliner Pen beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!!

NARS Radiant Cream Compact Foundation Review + GIVEAWAY *OVER*

Hey beaut's!

I have an extremely exciting post for you all today, firstly I'm reviewing the NARS Radiant Cream Compact Foundation* in the shade Fiji and secondly I have 2 more of the NARS Foundations to give away to you beauties thanks to the amazing Cosme-De website. If you haven't heard of Cosme-De before it's basically a beauty lovers dream ha ha, it is an online shopping site that sells all things beauty, skincare, fragrance, haircare plus much more, they  stock brands such as Benefit, Bioderma, Clinque, Bobbi Brown, YSL, Estee Lauder and that's just to name a few so theres certainly plenty of choice on the website. Cosme-De are based in Hong Kong but ship worldwide for FREE on every order (whoop), they're website is very clear and easy to use and all you have to do to get your preferred currency is scroll at the bottom of the website and click the little drop down box to choose, simple!
Anywhooo onto the foundation review... The NARS Radiant Cream Compact Foundation comes in two parts, firstly in one box you get a medium sized palette which has a hollow well for a foundation compact to slot into and theres also a little slot for a makeup sponge, the compact has a sizable mirror within the lid too for easy on the go application and has that classic NARS rubberised texture. The second part of the compact is the foundation itself and the sponge, these two come in a separate box and just slot into the empty wells within the palette, usually you would have to buy these separately but Cosme-De sell them together for £38.00. Cosme-De currently have 7 shades of the Radiant Cream Compact Foundation to choose from, I've been road testing the shade Fiji which is described as light with golden peachy undertone, in my pictures is does look slightly dark for some reason but it is actually a very good match for me.

At first glance I thought the NARS Radiant Cream Compact Foundation would be quite hard to work with being that it looked so solid and compact however... On instant contact with my finger the foundation appeared to 'melt' and was so creamy which I wasn't expecting at all, it honestly feels so silky and is a joy to work with. The way I like to apply the Radiant Cream Foundation is by warming it up on my fingers and then dotting it around my face and either using a buffing brush or beauty blender to blend the foundation in, those techniques work amazingly and leave you with a lightweight, dewy, luminous finish. As for the foundations coverage... It's definitely has a medium but buildable coverage that doesn't feel cakey or heavy at all. I'd say this foundation would most suit someone with dryer skin like myself because it's very moisturising and claims to boost your moisture levels by 80% after 12 hours wear, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and enhancing your skin's radiance.
As for lasting power... it actually held up amazingly well! I always apply my makeup quite early in the mornings and then remove just before I go to bed, generally as I'm about to remove my makeup that I've had on all day I can always see slight imperfections in my base makeup and sometimes it can become slightly patchy and definitely looks like it needs a touch up however... The NARS Radiant Cream Compact Foundation still looks perfect and still has that beautiful, natural looking glow to it!
Overall I absolutely love this foundation, if your looking for a foundation that has a good amount of coverage that's buildable, lightweight, adds sutble radiance to the skin, that doesn't cling to any dry pacthes or emphasise them further then I'd highly suggest trying out the NARS Radiant Cream Compact Foundation, it's an absolute beauty in my opinion and I've gotten on with it great!

Cosme-De is an online shopping site that sells all things beauty, skincare, fragrance, haircare plus much more, they  stock brands such as Benefit, Bioderma, Clinque, Bobbi Brown, YSL, Estee Lauder and that's just to name a few so theres certainly plenty of choice on the website. Cosme-De are based in Hong Kong but ship worldwide for FREE on every order (whoop), they're website is very clear and easy to use and all you have to do to get your preferred currency is scroll at the bottom of the website and click the little drop down box to choose, simple!

I have 3 goodies to share with you from the Cosme-De website today which are all fairly priced and some products even have a slight discount which is always appreciated, they even have an up to 40% off moisturisers sale on at the moment which may be of interest to some of your beauties. Anyway onto the goodies I received...

Benefit BAD Gal Waterproof Eyeliner in Extra Black*

Arhhh I love good ole Benefit, everything I own from them I seem to just get on so well with and the BAD Gal Eyeliner doesn't differ, its so good in fact that its been named the number 1 selling eye pencil in the UK for the past 3 years, wowza. The liner itself is very rich and creamy in formula and glides on with ease, the shade is gorgeous too, its a dark smokey black shade which I'm really pleased about, I really do hate liners that are meant to be black but actually come out grey its so annoying, but thank goodness I don't have that problem with Benefits offering. The BAD Gal liners lasting ability is also really good, its extremely long lasting and stays put most of the day, I can now see why its the number 1 selling eye pencil in the UK, its blooming brilliant!

Anna Sui Miniature Fragrance Collection*
How gorgeous is this little Anna Sui Miniature Fragrance Collection, arrrhhh I love it! The collection includes the perfumes Secret Wish, La Vie De Boheme, Secret Wish Magic RomanceFlight of Fancy and Fairy Dance Secret Wish, they all come in beautiful little 4ml bottles and after giving them all a whiff I can officially say they all smell divine and very luxurious, and if that wasn't enough all the little perfumes come in a gorgeous Anna Sui clutch bag which I think is such a nice touch, you could use the bag on nights out or as a makeup bag the choice is yours! I have to just point out how nice this collection would be as a Christmas present, my Mum would love it so I'm tempted to buy her one this year he he.

Tangle Teezer Aqua Splash Detangling Hairbrush in Pink Shrimp*
Any of you girlie's with long, thick hair like mine will know that a Tangle Teezer is an essential, they just make life so much easier don't they... So when I saw that Tangle Teezer had bought out an Aqua Splash version (a tangle teezer suitable to use during shampooing, conditioning, swimming, at the beach and at the spa) I was intrigued to see just how it worked, and the result is... I love it! The ergonomic oval body ensures a firm, non-slip grip making it so easy to use, especially when brushing conditioner through your hair and it gets those horrible wet knots out with ease, where as other brushes really do struggle and end up ripping half my hair out.

Cosme-De have kindly given me a discount code for all of my beautiful readers, all you have to do is pop CDNUK1014 into the promotional code box and you'll receive a 10% discount which is valid until the last day of October, so if your looking to save a few pennies on any beauty related items or Christmas presents then Cosme-De have got you covered.

Overall I really do like the Cosme-De website, theres just so many pretty things to look at a buy he he, and even though they are based in Hong Kong I found the delivery very speedy, my parcel was here in less than a week which is really impressive.

Have you bought anything from Cosme-De.com before?? I'd love to know what you thought beaut's!!
