Hi beaut's!
Makeup Revolution are smashing it with their new releases again aren't they? This time around they have released two new eyeshadow palettes named Iconic Pro 1 and Iconic Pro 2, these seem to have a likeness/named a dupe for the popular US Lorac Pro Palettes at just the fraction of the price! Woohoo for a reliable bargain from Makeup Revolution! I've been happily testing out the Iconic Pro 2 Eyeshadow palette for the last week and half and have been absolutely loving it so far so I thought I'd do a review/first impressions post for you all today.
The Iconic Pro 2 Palette* comes housed in a pretty rose gold box which I just love, when I opened the box to reveal the palette itself I was pleasantly surprised... The usual sleek, shiny packaging had been replaced with a matte black lid, personally I love the change, it just adds that little something different and keeps things fresh he he. Upon opening the palette to reveal the pretty eyeshadows I noticed something else new, a makeup brush! Yup Makeup Revolution have thrown in a Pro 1989 double-ended eyeshadow brush, with a flat oval shaped brush at one end which is perfect for packing colour on your eyelids and the other end holds a brush perfect for crease work and blending. I love this new addition, it's so much better than those double ended sponges and really does add to the palettes 'pro' feel.
Now for some eyeshadow talk he he... The Iconic Pro 2 Palette contains 16 ‘Super-Elite’ eyeshadows in total, the top row holds 8 matte shades and the bottom row holds 8 shimmers, I personally love this design and the fact we get 8 of each finish to play with. The shade range within the Iconic Pro 2 Palette is gorgeous, theres a lovely selection of neutral tones, earthy tones and even some jewel toned shades which I think compliment each other beautifully to create numerous looks for day and night.
As always I really have no complaints on the eye shadow's quality, Makeup Revolution seem to make such amazing eye shadows don't they he he. Each eyeshadow within the 'Iconic Pro 2' palette has great pigmentation, are easy to work with and blend out a treat and they last great on my oily eyelids without any creasing or fading most of the day. I have to admit I've been really blown away by the matte shades within this palette, they are so beautiful and not chalky at all.
All in all I think this is another absolute hit by Makeup Revolution and its certainly got me lusting after the Iconic Pro 1 Palette now, which means I'll just have to have it ha ha. This palette really is brilliant if your looking for a good mix of mattes and shimmers in earthy hues, and what's best is the palette is super affordable at just £6.99, that's around 43p per eyeshadow without even taking the double ended brush into consideration, wowza!
Have you tried the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 2 Palette?? What did you think beaut's?? I'd love to know!
