Freedom Makeup HD Eye Foils Reviewed & Swatched!

I've been really into eyeshadows with a foil finish at the moment, and when I was browsing  all the makeup in Superdrug on my lunch break recently I saw that Freedom Makeup had released their very own packets of eye foils, obviously being the makeup addict that I am I just had to buy a packet to try and I'm so glad I did because I love them!

Freedom Makeup have a few colour variations of eye foils to choose from but I opted for the Metallic 1 set, this includes 5 magnetic eyeshadows pans all in a beautiful mix of neutral and warm tone foil finish shades. The reason I opted for this set was because for me it's really versatile, I love wearing warm toned shades all throughout Summer and Autumn/Winter so I knew I'd get the most use out of these particular shades. The pans actually come sat in thin plastic packaging but their designed to go into Freedom's #ProArtist customisable magnetic palettes, I have a Z Palette with a few Makeup Geek shades in so I've popped mine in their and they fit perfectly and securely!

The formula of these foil shades are stunning, each shade is intensely pigmented, buttery soft to swatch and apply beautifully with either a flat brush, fingers or you cam spritz your brush with some fixing spray for a super intense foil finish. I actually like using my finger to pop the shades on and then I blend out with a brush, they blend out so easy as well with basically no fall out and stay super intense all day!

I'm so happy these caught my eye in Superdrug, I absolutely love them and these shades are so on trend right now, the warm tones make me think of the Urban Decay Heat palette or those Huda Beauty Textured shadows, their so pretty! And if the quality of these shades wasn't good enough then the price will knock your socks off, their only £5.00 a pop! Yup that's right, it makes each foil shadow £1.00 each, how amazing is that! If your into foil shades or warm tones your going to love these shadows as much as I do!

Makeup Revolution Unicorns Are Real Eyeshadow Palette Review

Today I'm back to share a rather exciting new release from our friends over at Makeup Revolution! This time around the lovelies at Makeup Revolution have released an all new eyeshadow palette called 'Unicorns Are Real*' which features twelve eyeshadow's in majestic, enchanting and bold shades, it certainly packs a colourful punch that's for sure, and with Spring and Summer fast approaching this palette is going to be perfect.

The 'Unicorns Are Real' palette comes packaged in a lightweight, slim, plastic palette with a clear lid which I really favour because you can easily see the eyeshadow shades inside the palette, it just saves a lot of faffing about opening up lots of different palettes trying to find your desired shades doesn't it. Within the palette are twelve metallic/shimmer eyeshadows that are all placed in long, narrow pans ranging from light, to colourful, to dark, to create a stunning eye look, anytime. 

Now I know that this palette might not be for everyone because of it's brightness and colour but personally I think the 'Unicorns Are Real' is a palette everyone should own because you never know when your going to need that pop of colour in your eyeshadow look and theres also a great khaki, bronze and gold shade within the palette too that perfect for the not so daring. You could easily create daytime looks with this palette buy adding subtle pops of colour around different area's of the eyes, something I like to do in the Summer is add some colour smudged onto my lower lash line, I find it's a great way to use colour if you play it a bit safe with your eyeshadow like I do he he.  

 As always I don't really have any complaints on the eye shadow's quality, Makeup Revolution seem to make such amazing eye shadows don't they he he. Each eyeshadow within the 'Unicorns Are Real' palette is packed full of pigmentation, are all super soft to swatch, easy to work with and blend out a treat. The eyeshadows also last great on my oily eyelids without any creasing or fading most of the day which is a major bonus!

Makeup Revolution I ♡ Makeup Chocolate Pink Fizz Palette Review

Makeup Revolution are back with a chocolaty bang with their current new release! Yup, they have gone an done it again, releasing another beautiful chocolate bar inspired eyeshadow palette. This time around they've gone for the 'Pink Fizz' Eyeshadow Palette, from the outside your met with a 3D pink chocolate bar effect palette that's oozing and melting and on the inside it's full with sparkling highly pigmented shades that would be perfect for the party season ahead or as a stocking filler, it's just stunning and so girlie!

The I ♡ Makeup Chocolate Pink Fizz Palette* itself contains 16 shades in total perfect for those of us who love our neutrals but have the temptation to try a bit of colour too, theres a nice mixture of shimmer finishes and matte finishes that each compliment each other beautifully to create numerous looks for day and night. The palette also comes with a lovely large mirror which is always appreciated for travelling purposes and a double ended sponge applicator, Ive also found the packaging of the Pink Fizz palette to be extremely strong, sturdy and very robust which is great if your a bit of a klutz like myself ha ha.

As always I really have no complaints on the eye shadow's quality, Makeup Revolution seem to make such amazing eye shadows don't they he he. As you can see from the swatches of the middle row of shadows the shades are absolutely stunning and so highly pigmented, theres a nice range of golds, bronze, chocolate brown tones, pink hues, silvers and theres even a blue shade within the palette, it's such an all-rounder palette that can be used during the day or ampted up at night!

NEW Makeup Revolution I ♥ Makeup 'Naked Underneath' Eyeshadow Palette

Makeup Revolution are always on it when it comes to new releases aren't they?? And this time around we have another eyeshadow palette to play with, yessssssss! As you can probably tell Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palettes are my absolute favourites so I always go slightly ga ga when they launch a new palette he he. So lets say hello to the I ♥ Makeup 'Naked Underneath' Eyeshadow Palette*.

From the get go the I ♥ Makeup 'Naked Underneath' Eyeshadow Palette is slightly different from anything we've seen from Makeup Revolution packaging wise before... The usual sleek, shiny lid has been replaced with a black faux fur lid and is finished off with a clear crystal-cut heart placed in the middle, much like the other  I ♥ Makeup Eyeshadow palettes. Personally I love the change, its just so different and unique, I've honestly never seen anything like it before, the only thing I will say is that when I first stroked the fur (he he) it did shed slightly, don't get me wrong it is beautifully soft but to stop the shedding I'd suggest lightly spraying it with abit of hairspray from a distance, that's what I did and it works a treat and the faux fur is still lovely and soft. 

The I ♥ Makeup 'Naked Underneath' Palette contains 16 beautiful natural and smokey indulgent eye shadows in total, 6 of which have a matte finish and the other 10 have shimmer/metallic finishes. The shade range within the 'Naked Underneath' Palette is gorgeous and totally up my street, theres a lovely selection of neutral tones, golds, coppers and even some dark jewel toned shades which I think all compliment each other beautifully to create numerous looks for day and night.

 As always I really have no complaints on the eye shadow's quality, Makeup Revolution seem to make such amazing eye shadows don't they he he. Each eyeshadow within the 'Naked Underneath' palette has great pigmentation, are easy to work with and blend out a treat and they last great on my oily eyelids without any creasing or fading most of the day. I have to admit I've been really blown away by this palette, the shades are just so beautiful and I couldn't be happier with how the shadows perform. 

All in all I think this is another absolute hit by Makeup Revolution, the shades within the palette are absolutely stunning and so wearable, I particularly like the gold/copper tones shades, arrhhh they're gorgeous! Like always the palette is an absolute bargain at just £7.99, that's around 49p per eyeshadow, wowza!

Makeup Revolution are certainly kicking 2015 off with a chocolaty bang! Yup, they have gone an done it again, releasing another beautiful chocolate bar inspired eyeshadow palette. This time around they've gone for the 'Naked Chocolate' Eyeshadow Palette*, from the outside your met with a 3D white chocolate bar effect palette that's oozing and melting and on the inside it's full with elegant, bare too smokey eye shadows, it's just stunning!

The Naked Chocolate Palette itself contains 16 exclusive shades in total all of which are neutral, earthy tones, theres also a nice mixture of shimmer finishes and matte finishes that each compliment each other beautifully to create numerous looks for day and night. The palette also comes with a lovely large mirror which is always appreciated for travelling purposes and a double ended sponge applicator, Ive also found the packaging of the Naked Chocolate palette to be extremely strong, sturdy and very robust which is great if your abit of a clutz like myself ha ha.

I did notice when I was swatching the eye shadows that I could smell something sweetness, I immediately took a whiff of my hand and yes, the eye shadows do have a very light chocolaty scent, arhhh its amazing!  

Overall I think this is another absolute hit by Makeup Revolution and its certainly got me lusting after the other 2 collectible chocolate bar palettes that Makeup Revolution have released previously. I just love the mixture of mattes and shimmers and they are such pretty, elegant shades, its also a great palette to take with you on the go.

MUA 'New' Smokin Palette Review & Swatches

Hey girlie's!!!

Make Up Academy are back with yet another gorgeous eye shadow palette, welcome the release of the 'Smokin Palette'. It's the perfect palette to create either a glamorous evening smokey eye makeup look or a more neutral smokey eye make up look for daytime wear, brilliant!!!

The palette is made up of 10 eye shadows in total, 4 being matte neutral shades and 6 being more vibrant metallic shades, all of which are packed full with pigmentation and just generally look amazing!!! A new little addition to this eye shadow palette is that each eye shadow has a name unlike the other mua palettes which don't. The palette also includes an intense black eyeliner to help with the 'smokin' effect and complete your look.

The shades on the top row in the palette are.... 


Glory is a cream matte shade, perfect for either using as a base or highlighting the brow bone.

 Boudoir is nude/peach matte shade, again great for using as a base.

 Ghost is the most gorgeous shimmery taupe/grey colour.

  Fantasy is a matte dark taupe shade, i love using this in the crease and also through my brows.

Mythical is a matte black shade, great for getting all smokey.

Broken is a shimmery copper shade.

The shades on the bottom row of the palette are...

Icon is a shimmery metallic looking purple/plum shade.

Unleash is bright electric blue metallic shade.

Chaos is deep metallic green shade which makes me feel really festive he he.

Wicked is a dark metallic gunmetal shade. 

As you can see from the swatches these shades are not only gorgeous but the quality is outstanding. Every shade is highly pigmented, easy to blend, really smooth in texture and they all have amazing lasting power even on my oily eye lids without creasing. The kohl eye liner that's also included in the palette is nice too, its very soft and creamy and great for smudging out and creating those smokey eye looks. 

Yet again MUA have triumphed in my eyes, this palette is absolutely stunning and great for Autumn/Winter time use too.
