Hey beaut's!
The first time I saw Stila's Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows I was in love, I mean I'm a huge lover of anything sparkly anyway but when I saw these...woah.. I just knew I had to have that twinkly goodness on my eyeballs pretty sharpish! Lucky for me my boyfriend bought me a set of three for Christmas to try and after testing them out for a while now I thought I would finally share my thoughts!
The Stila Magnificent Metals are a liquid, glitter metallic eyeshadow which have a water-infused blend of glitter and pearl that Stila have created to give us ultimate high impact glitter pay off which dries down smoothly, has minimal fallout, that doesn't feel heavy which will generally give the eyes a real “wow!” factor. To my knowledge there are eight gorgeous shades within the collection, the three I have are Diamond Dust which has a sheer silver base but is crammed full of multi-coloured glitter! Kitten Karma which is my favourite shade out of the three, this one has a rose gold base and contains tonnes of copper and silver sparkles. And finally I have Smoky Storm which is a light pewter shade with lots of silver glitter suspended within it.
I've found the formula of these glitter shadows really nice and easy to use, they all have a flat doe foot applicator which you can swipe or dab straight onto your eyelids, I like to dab the glitter on the centre of my eyelids then with a flat packing brush I disperse the glitter evenly with a patting motion. The glitter does feel quite wet and cooling during the application process and you do get a good amount of playtime with these before they set which is nice, but what I love is that the consistency of the liquid glitter doesn't ruin the eyeshadow work underneath, quite often when I've used glitters it will make my eyeshadow work go patchy which is so annoying but these don't do that at all thank goodness. Once these glitter shadows have set you really cant feel the product on your eyelids at all and they do last so well on my eyelids, and as for fallout...it really is minimal and really impressive for a glitter, during the day I do get the odd fleck or two but nothing major what so ever. The only thing I will say is that if your a lover of liquid liner like myself I would suggest using a gel and a brush because using a pen style liner is a no go, I tried a few different ones and they just don't draw on top of the glitter all that well despite the glitter being finely milled so a gel liner is a must really!
I'm literally head over heels in love with these Stila glitters, my swatches really don't do them justice, they are so intensely sparkly and really twinkly in person and look like fairy dust has been sprinkled on my eyelids hehe. If your fed up of wearing glitters that feel heavy and chunky, that fallout of over the place then I really cant recommend these enough, they don't even feel scratchy when I remove them either, these get 10 sparkly points out of 10 from me!
