The Brow Duo I'm Currently Loving!

Hey beaut's!

I absolutely love doing my brows these days, it's strange really because I used to hate doing my brows and would rarely do anything with them but now I find it so satisfying getting them perfect and on point, no makeup look is complete without a pair of gorgeous brows after all is it!

Although I do love the look of a perfect pair of brows I'm much more into the fluffy, natural look and this little duo from Technic Cosmetics have been perfect for that! The Technic Arch Envy (£3.50) is great for adding in definition, it has this amazing 'three hair stroke tip' making it so easy to add hair-like strokes which look super natural, it really gives the illusion of thicker brows! The staying power is amazing too, I never have any problems with fading and when I swatched this on my hand it took ages for me to wash it off, all day in-fact! The only negative I have to say about this brow definer is that I've used it up so quickly, so I don't think you get that much product inside, but aside from that I love it!

The Technic Clear Brow Gel (£4.00) is the secret to getting your brows fluffy, the small wand grabs every little hair and sets it in place all day long, if you want textured fluffy brows always brush the product upwards which is what I do to the start and middle of my brows, obviously you don't just have to use this gel to make your brows fluffy, it does indeed set your brows and the product you have used in your brows in place. What I love about this particular brow gel is that it doesn't set hard or go crispy/flaky, it's very natural feeling which is must for me when I look for a brow gel.

If your looking for some new products for your brows that wont break the bank then I really cant recommend these enough, especially that brow gel, it's quickly become my new favourite!

You can find all the Technic Cosmetics brow products HERE!

Barry M's NEW Dual Ended Brow Wand Reviewed!

Hey beaut's!

I absolutely love doing my brows these days, I used to hate doing them but now I find it so satisfying getting them perfect and on point, no makeup look is complete without a pair of gorgeous brows after all is it. Recently when I was browsing in Superdrug I saw that Barry M had launched a new brow product called the 'Dual Ended Brow Wand' so I immediately popped it into my basket to try!
The Barry M Dual Ended Brow Wand is available in three standard shades - light, medium and dark, personally for me the three shades just isn't enough, I think Barry M really need to up their game with their shade ranges because their makeup has got so good but the shade range is an epic fail, anyway...I opted for the shade light, I have quite light, cool toned ashy brows so light was the best option for me at the time, however I do find it a little bit on the warm side for me but with the brow gel I can just about get away with it!
Now I love a multi-purpose product so that fact this is dual ended is perfect for me, at one end you get your brow pencil to shape and define your brows and then at the other end you have the tinted brow gel to blend and tame stray brow hairs keeping them set in place all day! The brow pencil itself has a teardrop shaped tip making the application process super easy because it's always on a slanted angle, so I use the pencil on it's side with broad strokes to fill in my brows and use the pointed tip of the teardrop to add in individual brow hairs or for precise shaping if needed. The formula and texture of the pencil is lovely, it's well pigmented, waxy but not dry or too creamy and blends easily with a spoolie before it sets, I do find the shade of the pencil lighter and warmer than the brow gel but like I said before it all matches once the gel has been slicked through my brows.
The tinted brow gel I love, in fact I'd say I like it more than the pencil but I've always been a sucker for a good brow gel! The little brush really does coat and grab every brow hair and I can even get away with just using the gel if I'm in a rush or want a slightly more natural look. You can also achieve really fluffy brows as well if that's your thang!!! The formula of the gel is really lovely, it's well pigmented, has great hold without being crispy and it's long lasting! If your looking for something new to try from the high street for your brows I do think this is a good product to try - especially the gel, the only downside is the shade range as their definitely isn't a shade to suit all brows that's for sure!
Have you tried this yet beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know!

Barry M Dual Ended Brow Wand can be found in Superdrug and Boots for £5.99.

Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara and Brow Definer Review

Hey beaut's!

When I saw that Maybelline had recently launched a new collection called Total Temptation which contained a new mascara I was itching to try it! My all time favourite mascara is by Maybelline - the lash sensational - and I've never found a mascara that even comes close to my love for the lash sensational, so this newbie had me intrigued!

The Total Temptation Mascara* has a creamy whipped formula which is enriched with coconut which claims to condition and nourish the lashes whilst also creating ultimate length and volume! As we know coconut is great for the skin and hair so I LOVE the fact that Maybelline have included this within the formula, it's kinda of cool knowing I'm lacing my lashes with coconut as well as mascara everyday he he. So does this give my lashes the wow factor I look for in a mascara...well.... it does do a really good, my lashes do look longer, spikier and super black once I've added a couple of coats and I've not experienced any transferring or smudging at all which is a major bonus considering theres moisturising coconut within the formula! The only thing missing for me is that it doesn't give my lashes a real curl or lift, I mean it's nothing I cant do without a pair of lash curlers but it's still something I love to find in a mascara! I do love the brush because it's a natural bristle brush, it's certainly not going to poke your eye out like most plastic ones do and the packaging is just stunning, I love the pinky/nude against the black, it's so pretty! Overall I think if your after a good day to day mascara Maybelline's Total Temptation is definitely worth a try!
The Total Temptation collection also contains a Brow Definer Pencil* which I've really been enjoying using! The Brow Definer has a teardrop shaped tip making the application process super easy because it's always on a slanted angle, so I kind of use the pencil on it's side with  broad strokes to fill in my brows and use the pointed tip of the teardrop to add in individual brow hairs or for precise shaping if needed and then I blend everything with the handy little spoolie that comes at the end of the pencil for a somewhat natural look. The formula and texture of the Total Temptation Brow Definer is lovely, it's well pigmented, waxy but not dry or too creamy and blends easily with the spoolie before it sets and the shade match was bang on point for me too, I got Medium Brown which is a pretty cool toned mid brown making perfect for my ashy brown brows!

You can find the Total Temptation Mascara RRP £8.99 HERE and the Total Temptation Brow Definer for £7.99 HERE.

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil Review

Hey beaut's

On the 24th June, Benefit are launching a range of 13 brow-enhancing products, some are new to Benefit and some are already existing but all have had a packaging face lift and new shades have been added, woohoo. Obviously being the makeup obsessed beauty blogger that I am the thought of this new launch had me extremely excited, so when I heard Benefit had collaborated with Elle Magazine featuring a free deluxe size of their brand new brow pencil Goof Proof it was a no brainer and I just HAD to buy it!
The Goof Proof Brow Pencil will be available in six shades, I actually received shade 6 in my magazine which is the darkest of the bunch and far too dark for me but luckily my friend Kate from Kates Closet received shade 2 which was far to light for her so we swapped, so now I have shade 2 which is an absolute perfect match for me brows, it's cool toned light brown perfect for anyone with dark blonde/light brown hair and grey undertones running through their brows like me.
The brow pencil itself features a custom, non-sharpen “goof proof” diamond shaped tip, this makes the application process super easy because it's always on a slanted angle, so I just use broad strokes to fill in my brows and use the diamond pointed tip to add in individual brow hairs and blend everything with my own spoolie. The full size Goof Proof does actually come with a built-in blending spoolie on the end of the pencil however this deluxe sample doesn't. The formula and texture of the Goof Proof Brow Pencil is lovely, it's well pigmented, waxy but not dry and blends easily with a spoolie before it sets and let me tell you once this bad boy has set on me theres no budging it. The formula is waterproof which is great especially at this time of the year when it's hot and we all get a bit clammy, or if your jetting off on holiday and know you'll be swimming but can not bare going out without filling in your brows this brow pencil would be an essential as it wont budge!

Overall I'm super impressed with the Goof Proof Brow Pencil, it's easy to use, the colour is on point for my brows, the formula is lovely and lasts so well and I like the fact that because of it's custom diamond shaped tip you can go for a stronger brow of a more natural brow.

You can buy the Goof Proof Brow Pencil for £18.50 along with the rest of the Benefit Brow Collection HERE on June 24th!

Sleek MakeUP Eyebrow Stylist in Medium | Review ♥

Hi beaut's!

I've really been getting into my eyebrow products at the moment, I'm usually a brow powder girl and to be honest I've never really experimented much with many brow products in the form of pencils or wax but recently I've been giving the Sleek Eyebrow Stylist* a go and I have to say I love it!
Sleek Makeup's Eyebrow Stylist (£5.99) is available in three shades Light, Medium and Dark so there should be a shade to suit most brows woohoo, and for any of you brow fanatics out there it's said that Sleeks offering is an exact dupe for the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil which retails at a whopping £26.00, so your making a great saving with Sleeks offering. The very first thing that stood out for me when opening the Eyebrow Stylist was just how practical the packaging is, it's quite a basic, plain black, plastic packaging but has that 'sleek' feel to it and then it gets better because it combines a unique angled pencil on one end, with a styling/blending brush on the other end to help groom those brows into place, so you literally have everything you need for your brows in one little pencil, it's great!
The Eyebrow Stylist also has a very intreaguing yet unique angular tip which I've never really seen before within a brow pencil. The angler tip can be used either on it side, using the slanted, flat edge to fill in larger area's of the brow with broad strokes and the pointed tip is great for more defining strokes and outlining your brow. I must add, another fabulous thing about the Stylists  packaging is that is has a twist up mechanism, so no need for sharpening which means the unique shape of the pencil will never be ruined, genuis!
I find when using the pencil it applies quite soft making it easy to create a natural look but of course you can build that colour up to have those brows as bold as you like! As for the Stylists formula... It's completely matte, quite creamy and smooth which I like as certain brow pencils I've tried in the past have been really hard, stiff and rather drying but Sleeks offering is nothing like that at all. The lasting power of the brow pencil on my brows was really good, my makeup is always applied quite early in the moring and when ive gone to remove my makeup in the evenings my brows still look groomed yet natural and thats without using a brow gel or fixer over the top, so the lasting power gets a big thumbs up from me.

Overall Im majorly impressed  with Sleeks Eyebrow Stylist and the Meduim shade matches  perefctly with my hair and brow shade. If your looking for a practical, afforadble, great quality brow pencil, that applys easy and had a super smooth formula this is the kiddo for you!

Sleek MakeUP's Eyebrow Stylist retails for £5.99 and is availble in selected Superdrug and Boots stores and of course online at www.sleekmakeup.com.

Have you tried the Eyebrow Stylist before beaut's?? I'd love to know your thoughts on it!
