Zoella X Colour Pop Haul + First Impressions!

Hey beaut's!

As soon as I heard Zoella was collaborating with Colour Pop and creating a super sweet brunch date themed makeup collection I was shook and had to place a cheeky little order ASAP! It would of been quite easy for me to buy the entire collection to be honest because I do love the look of everything Zoe and Colour Pop have created however, I'm completely new to Colour Pop and had no idea about the quality of their products, so I played it safe and bought four items that I was most excited in trying first!
Before I get into the products I do want to chat a little bit about the amazing Colour Pop customer service because I did have a few issues with my order, firstly when my order was dispatched my tracking didn't work so I got in touch with Colour Pop via twitter and they immediately looked into it for me and emailed me with the correct tracking information, they also DM'd me when I had tweeted another blogger about that fact my order was still awaiting delivery and they once again checked to make sure everything was on track for my order to be delivered! Once my order arrived I was actually missing an item - the Supernova Shadow in the shade OG - so I had to get in contact with Colour Pop again and they more or less immediately apologised and refunded me, they where so efficient throughout!

Anyway on to the bit's that I bought....Firstly can we all just appreciate the packaging of this collection, everything from the cardboard outer packaging to the packaging of the products their selves is so adorable and right up my street, I'm always sucked into cute packaging whether the product is good or not I must admit. The products I picked up where the Brunch Date Eyeshadow Palette - which was the main thing I wanted - the What Happens at Brunch Lip Bundle and the Creme Gel Liner in XOXO.
I have seen online that some people think the Brunch Date Eyeshadow Palette ($18.00/£13.73) is a bit boring, yes it is filled with mostly bronze's, brown's and warm beige tones with a splash of blue but lets face it, it's the most amazing shade range for everyday wear and something I would certainly reach for - for my daily looks! The palette contains 12 shadows in total, theres 5 mattes and 7 metallic, after giving a few shades a whirl the quality seems amazing, the mattes are so, so pigmented you literally just need the tiniest amount of your brush and your good to go, most of the matellic shades are so buttery, very pigmented and I've found best applied with my finger , the only thing negative I could say is that some of the metallic shades contain glitter and I do get quite a bit of glitter fallout but apart from that so far so good!
The What Happens at Brunch Lip Bundle ($11.50/£8.01) is so adorable and I'm so happy I bought it because I've been wearing it everyday since it arrived, in the set you get a Lippie Pencil in Oh Snap and a matching Ultra Matte Lip in @ME, both of which are a gorgeous mauve pink colour which is so me! The lip pencil glides on so smoothly with a matte finish and the liquid lipstick again goes on smoothly from the doe-foot applicator, it does dry down quite quickly but I actually find it quite comfortable to wear and doesn't make my lips feel mega dry!
Finally I bought the Creme Gel Liner in XOXO ($5.00/£3.81), I bought this because I wear black eyeliner in my waterline most days and this one actually worked out cheaper than the one I buy in Superdrug or Boots so that a bonus! I've actually been really impressed with the formula of this eyeliner, it super rich and jet black with tiny gold flecks within it which makes a nice change and it applies so smoothly like the lip liner and is super long lasting!
Overall everything I've tried to far gets a HUGE thumbs up from me and I defiantly want to place another Colour Pop order when they have free shipping again he he! Did you buy anything in the Zoella collection beaut's? What do you think of it? I'd love to know!

Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Palette First Impressions!

Hey beaut's!

I had been lusting after the Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Palette ever since I saw glimpses of it on Twitter a few months ago, so as soon as Debenhams added the Too Faced Christmas collection to their website I snapped that little palette up quicker than you can even say gingerbread (lol)! Unfortunately for me when my palette arrived (very quickly might I add) it was completely smashed and the Debenhams customer service was terrible so I ended up having to send the palette back and wait nearly 3 weeks to get my money back! Long story short - when I was in London I popped into the Too Faced store on Carnaby Street and managed to buy the palette again and I'm absolutely loving it so far!
The Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Eyeshadow Palette (£39.00) comes packaged in a warm brown tin with a cute little gingerbread man on the front and a mirror on the inside of the lid, personally I love packaging, I know some might find it young or tacky but I absolutely love it and I think Too Faced always get packaging so right! Within the palette are 18 eye shadows in a good mix of winter warmer shades and autumnal hues perfect for creating lots of different looks for day and night, theres also a mix of mattes, metallics and glitters, their honestly so drool worthy! Just like all of Too Faced products this palette does indeed have a scent, although not the gingerbread scent they are claiming and that I was hoping for, mine smells just like Yankee  Candles Christmas Cookie candle which is divine but my nose definitely doesn't get the gingerbread, please tell me I'm not alone in this!
The formula of the shades I've used so far has been brilliant, I haven't experienced any fallout and they blend and last on my eyes beautifully, to be honest I have a couple of other Too Faced eyeshadow palettes and the quality always comes up trumps for me so I have high hopes for this palette! The shades I've used so far are Powdered Sugar - a matte cream great for a base shade, Gingerbread and Gingerbread Latte - both perfect mattes for the crease and transitioning, Spiked Eggnog - a gorgeous metallic champagne perfect for highlighting the brow bone and inner corners, Reindeer Paws - a deep matte brown perfect for getting things smokey and finally Warm & Toasty - a bright metallic gold, the rest of the shades I'm yet to try but so far all the shades I've used have worked like a dream! Also can we just appreciate how god damn cute all of the shade names are, I mean Reindeer Paw.... come on, cutest overload!
(From left to right - Frostbite Me!, Spiked Eggnog, Figgy Pudding, Hot Toddy, Gingerbread, Warm & Toasty, Bake It 'Til You Make It)
So far, so good with the Gingerbread Spice Palette and if your thinking of getting it yourself I'd definitely say go for it because I'm loving it so far, although you might want to dodge getting it from Debenhams lol! I will do an updated post after I've used all of the shades within the palette and given them a good test as I can see myself getting so much use out of most shades within this little gingerbread beauty!

You can find the Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Palette for £39.00 HERE.

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Foundation First Impressions

Hey beaut's!

I think it's fair to say all of us Makeup Revolution lovers went slightly gaga over their Conceal and Define Concealer, it took me bloody ages to get hold of that bad boy and after trying it I saw why, because it's so, so good! Shortly after the concealer launch Makeup Revolution or Revolution (I'm not sure what name their going by these days lol) launched their very first stick foundation and I couldn't wait to try it. To my surprise I managed to nab myself the Fast Base Foundation in Superdrug a week ago so I thought I'd do a cheeky first impressions on it today!
Just like the concealer the foundation has a whopping 18 shades ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones, I think is amazing and would love to see this more from other brands! I opted for the shade F3 in the foundation because I'm C3 in the concealer for the blemishes on my face and C1 for my under eye concealing and I'd heard that the shades match up to each other. F3 is for fair skin tones with a pink undertone which is what I have but it is a smidge light and I think I could of definitely gone a shade darker but it's nothing a bit of bronzer doesn't fix so I'm not entirely sure if the concealer and foundation shades do match up exactly the same.
I've never used a stick foundation before so this was all completely new to me, they always reminded me of those horrible dry concealer sticks I used to use when I was about 14 which never blended at all so I always stayed clear however the Makeup Revolution Fast Base Foundation is not dry at all, instead it's super, super creamy and melts onto the skin when you swipe it on, and it blends so easily with a beauty blender or foundation brush but I prefer using my beauty blender if I'm honest. The coverage is good, I'd say medium but buildable and the finish is very dewy which I like, the only thing I'm finding so far is that the foundation stays tacky on my skin and does settle into my smile lines so I do have to set it with a bit of powder but after it's set it doesn't move, go dry or patchy on me at all.
Overall I've been really liking this foundation so far and for £5.00 it's such a bargain isn't it! It's so creamy and blendable, has a good amount of coverage without looking too OTT or cakey, I would say if you have particularly oily skin then this may not be the foundation for you because it is so dewy I fear it may move around on oily skin. My skins been pretty normal recently although I do have the odd dry patch and the foundation doesn't cling to those patches which is a brucie bonus! I really want to grab one of the darker shades now to try some cream contouring, ohhhh look at me being all daring he he!

You can find the Makeup Revolution Fast Base Foundation for £5.00 HERE.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation First Impressions

Hey beaut's!

I'm a huge lover of Rimmel foundations, in fact I'd actually go as far as saying they are my favourite brand in the drugstore for foundations, so when I saw they had a new foundation out I knew I'd have to give it a whirl! Lucky for me I actually had just over £9.00 worth of Boot's point on my advantage card so I decided to use them and finally grab the Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation to try, don't you just love it when that happens! I've been using the Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation everyday now for just over a week and I thought I'd share my first impressions with you all today!
The Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation claims to be lightweight, buidlable, long wearing with a medium coverage - all things that I like and look for in a foundation. I have to admit as soon as I started blending in the foundation on my very first application I was loving it, it blends/melts into the skin with complete ease and honestly feels like I'm wearing nothing, it's so lightweight and kind of thin feeling if that makes sense. The coverage is pretty impressive too and totally not what I was expecting from and lightweight - breathable foundation, it covers so well I'd go as far as saying it's more medium+ depending on what you use to apply it. It sets beautifully to a natural, semi dewy - satin finish which is my absolute favourite kind of finish, and again theres no heavy , tacky feeling once the foundation has set. As for lasting power, the breathable foundation claims to last up to 25 hours but lets just be real, I don't think any foundation can be on the skin that long and still be slaying but it does hold up well on a working day, I don't find that it goes patchy or breaks down on my t-zone where I get slightly oily at the moment.
The only thing I don't like about this foundation isn't the formula but the applicator...it has a large doe foot style applicator which holds the product much like how a concealer does and then you spread/dot it around your face that way, personally I don't find very hygienic and I would of much preferred a pump to be honest, however it is quite a controlled way to use the foundation and I cant see how I'd waste much of the foundation like how I can sometimes if I pump too much out so theres always that.

Overall I've been bloody loving this foundation and I'm so glad I picked it up to try, I imagine it will work perfectly in the Spring/Summer months too as it's just so lightweight. Theres also a concealer within the Breathable range too which I want to try now, I have quite high hopes for that now after trying the foundation!

You can find the Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation for £8.99 HERE.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette + Swatches!

Hey beaut's

I was casually browsing through my Instagram feed back in May, ya know as you do, and all of a sudden I saw a picture of something absolutely stunning that had been posted by Urban Decay... Yup, they've gone and done it again and added something else to the ever growing Naked franchise, say hello the the Naked Heat Palette. If you thought Urban Decay’s Naked palettes were hot before, brace yourself – because the newest addition is sweltering HOTTTTT!!!
The Naked Heat Palette* contains 12 all new eyeshadows in the most gorgeous warm tones, honestly beaut's this palette has me like a kid at Christmas I'm that excited about it! Within the 12 shades theres a mix of 7 mattes, 4 metallics and 1 pearl shimmer, of course their are some stunning amber-hued neutrals at the beginning of the palette - well it wouldn't be an Urban Decay palette without a cheeky neutral or two would it - then it leads onto some burnt oranges, copper tones and rich sienna's. I'm in absolute love with the shade range, theres plenty of shades and finishes to mix between day looks and evening looks, and even though this is a Summer release and aimed at being a Summer palette I feel like this palette will look BEAUTIFUL in Autumn too.
The quality of all of the shades within the Heat Palette certainly meet the usual Urban Decay standard, I do already have three full size Naked Palettes in my collection along with a couple of the mini basics ones and I've always loved how the quality follows throughout all of Urban Decays palettes. The matte shades within the Heat Palette aren't chalky at all and pick up on the brush well and the metallics are so intensely pigmented, their honestly as soft as butter to swatch.
Below is a list of the shade run down and some swatches!
Ounce - an ivory pearl shimmer shade perfect for brow bone & inner corner highlighting.
Chaser - a light brown with warm, peachy undertones and a matte finish.
Sauced - a soft terra-cotta with a matte finish.
Low Blow - a medium brown with warm undertones and a matte finish.
Lumbre - a stunning peach/copper metallic shade with a gold pearl shift.
He Devil - a burnt red matte shade with brown undertones.
Dirty Talk - a metallic orange toned burnt red with a real sheen to it.
Scorched - a metallic red shade with gold micro-shimmer within it.
Cayenne - a deep terra-cotta matte shade, it almost looks rusty.
En Fuego - a burgundy matte.
Ashes - a deep plum-brown matte.
Ember - an intense metallic plummy shade with a bronze shift to it.
As you can see the shades within the Naked Heat Palette are insanely beautiful and they certainly don't disappoint. The lighter matte shades do need a little building up but I find that happens with every single light nude matte shadow I own, the darker mattes though are pretty intense along with the metallics which have such good colour payoff and spread really well. The overall blendabilty, texture, pigmentation and staying power is amazing though, I love you Urban Decay!

As for the packaging, I love it! I mean how gorgeous is that warm, sunset design! The palette itself is made of heavy duty plastic which feels really robust, it's slightly different to my other Naked Palettes which are in tins, but I prefer the change. It also comes with a full size mirror within the lid and a double-ended brush which is always appreciated.

If you want to heat up your eyeshadow looks this Summer then the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette is where the parties at! If your a collector of Urban Decay Palettes or just after some warm toned shades then you HAVE to add this beauty to your collection, you wont be disappointed trust me!

You can buy the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette HERE for £39.50.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette First Impressions - Yay or Nay?

Hey beaut's!

I had been lusting after the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette ever since I saw glimpses of it in the works last year, and finally on the 19th of January Debenhams launched it along side some other Sweet Peach beauties. I quickly snapped up a Glow Palette on the day of release because not only does it look absolutely stunning, but I bought the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette last year when it was first launched in the UK and still to this day it's one of my favourite, best quality palettes I own so I had such high hopes for this little glowing palette.
The Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette comes packaged in a cutesy pink/peach/orange ombre style tin with a handy mirror on the inside of the lid, some might find the packaging a bit young or tacky but I absolutely love it and I think Too Faced get packaging so right! The palettes contents is said to be a glowing goddesses dream, it contains a Highlighter, Blusher and a Bronzer all of which are infused with the juicy scent and skin-loving essence of peach to give your face a radiant natural peach glow.
After taking a few snaps of the palette I quickly got stuck in with some swatches and really liked the colour pay off on the back of my hand, the highlighter had a gorgeous peachy-champagne glow, the blush was the most beautiful shade of peach and was super dewy looking and the bronzer was nice and warm but admittedly a bit on the sparkly side for me but would definitely still be something I'd reach for in the Summer months however... It was the application process that has really let this palette down for me - que the cry face emoji, the pigment just doesn't transfer from the brush to the skin well at all. I have gone through so many brushes trying to find the correct brush to use with each product within the glow palette, this is something you really shouldn't have to do especially when you've forked out £34.00. I've found the denser the brush the better, so if you like applying your highlighter with a fan brush like me then that wont work with the glow palette, I literally got no where with my fan brush, instead I use my Real Techniques setting brush and that works quite well with the highlighter. I've also tried spraying my brushes with MAC's Fix+ to deepen the pigment and this does help a bit especially with the highlighter, but again I don't think that's a step anyone should have to take when buying higher end pricey makeup, I mean who wants to waste a bottle of Fix+ just to make the most out of this palette, I certainly don't!
Overall my first impressions of the Glow Palette aren't as amazing as I first thought, I remember when I bought the eyeshadow palette and I was completely blown away by it's pigment and quality and that is what I was expecting again with the glow palette but sadly that isn't the case. Theres no denying that when you either use your fingers to apply it or manage to build this trio up with a dense brush on the skin that it looks pretty because it is stunning when it works, its just all a bit of faff and a let down for me if I'm honest, I think it's just my expectations where so high and we've all been waiting for this to launch for such a long time that I expected a lot more. I'm going to continue using this palette for a while longer and I'll be back doing a proper updated review so watch this space.

Did you buy the Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Palette beaut's? What's you first impressions of it? I'd love to know!

2true Makeup Haul + First Impressions ♥

Hey beaut's!

2true are a purse friendly cosmetics brand that we usually see on one of those cool twirly stands in Superdrug, they are probably best known for some of their Benefit dupes which start from just £1.99 and hold a huge variety of face, lip, eyes and nail products that are all trend-led. To celebrate the launch of 2true's brand new website I have a few of their makeup products to share with you all as well as a cheeky discount code he he!

Eyes

Firstly we have some bits for the eyes... I was eager to try 2true's WOW! Mascara (£2.99), I'd heard it was a dupe for the Benefit They're Real Mascara and the fact it's constantly sold out in Superdrug made me think it was pretty amazing and after finally trying it I can assure you it really is amazing, it adds length, loads of volume, layers well, doesn't clump or flake and stays put all day, arrrhhh it's amazing! The Pro Tech Extreme Eyeliner* (£4.49) was next of my list of must tries from 2true as I do love a good winged eyeliner look, the fine shaped fibre tipped applicator really does all the work for you and creates such precise and sharp looking flicks, it's also super black and very long lasting! The WOW Colour For Eyes in Bold Bronze* (£2.99) has been my new favourite product to wear on the lower lash line, it's super creamy and blend out a dream and just adds that definition whilst looking super pretty, it can also be used all over the eyelid as a base for a bronze smokey eye. Can you believe the Easy Glide Kohl Pencil in White* (£1.99) is my very fist white eye pencil, it's extremely pigmented and very creamy and works well on the waterline to brighten up those eyes or again you can use it all over the eyelid as a base if you going to use bright coloured eye shadows. Lastly for the eyes I tried the Expert Eyebrow Pencil in shade No 1(£1.99) which is a grey toned brown perfect for my brows, it's quite a hard pencil which is ideal for using through the brows and really helps define, sculpt and enhance your brows shape, I also love the fact it has a cute little brow brush on the cap.

Lips
Next we have some products to achieve a gorgeous looking pout... Firstly I tried the 8hr Power Lip Colour in Natalie* (£4.99) which is a super intense bright barbie pink long lasting liquid lipstick, the pigmentation of this little beauty is incredible and it's staying power is out of this world. The Glossywear Lipstick in shade 2 (£1.99) has a silky smooth formula which moisturises and contains SPF to keep those lips protected, although that shade of the lipstick look quite bright in the bullet it actually comes out on the lips as a frosty baby pink that colours the lips slightly, great for everyday wear. Lastly for the lips I tried 2 of the WOW! Gloss for Lips pencils (£2.99 each) these I'm not so keen on, although the pigmentation is very good I find them too glossy and sticky for me, and if you have them in your handbag on a warm day they completely melt and make such a mess.

Face
Out of everything it's the face products I haven't tried as much as the rest so I cant really give much information on these yet however I've used them all twice and so far so good. The BB Beautiful BB Cream* (£4.99) is great for this time of year, it gives the skin a fresh, natural looking glow, is extremely lightweight and has a subtle matte finish. The Pro Bright Touch Concealer* (£4.99) is much like YSL's very popular Touche Eclat, it's a llightweight, moisturising concealer which helps even out skin tone and brightens without looking cakey and adds an ever so slight radiance, loving it so far. And lastly there is the All Over Natural Bronzing Power* (£2.99) , I'm really on the fence about this because the powder itself is matte but then it has bright gold flecks of glitter running through it which look so un-natural on the skin, I really wish they didn't add the gold flecks because this bronzer has real potential.

Nails

I absolutely love these nail polishes, they are all super quick and easy to apply and dry rapidly which is a huge bonus. The shades I got in the Fast Dry Collection(£1.99 each) where shade 31 which is a baby pink and shade 22 which is a gorgeous pink with coral undertones. I also tried one of the Pro Sequins Nail Polishes in Christy(£3.99) , the textured polish is made up of tonnes of silver micro glitter and a large amount of small silver hexagon glitter… these combined make a really really pretty sparkly effect that I adore for accent nails!

If you'd like anything that I've featured in this post or on the new 2true website make sure you use the discount code X00418 to get 10% off, it's only on for a limited time so don't miss out beaut's!
