Retro Kellogg's Rice Krispies Lip Balm Review

Hey beaut's!

Today I have a very exciting review for you all in the shape of a Kellogg's Rice Krispies Lip Balm*... Breakfast and beauty don't usually collide but they have now and I'm drooling over it, I mean this kitch collaboration between Kellogg's and MAD Beauty is just genius isn't it.
The lip balm packaging looks amazing and sports that vintage 70's look and features the legends which are snap, crackle and pop. The scent and taste of the Rice Krispies balm itself is so yummy and sure to be a winner for anyone who likes something sweet and sugary, it has a kick of banana which tastes and smells just like those foam banana's you get in the sweet shop, oh my goodness I love it. The quality of the lip balm is really very good, sometimes you can find that the idea of a product that looks amazing in the packaging can out way the actual quality of the product itself but this lip balm certainly works well. It moisturises and nourishes my lips leaving them silky smooth and it makes a lovely base for lipsticks to go over too.
Overall I absolutely love this little beauty and not only does it look incredible it works well too and has become a handbag essential for me. The Kellogg's lips balms also come in the Frosted Flakes edition which I have and theres a Coco Pops edition available too, and what's best is that they are all an affordable £2.99 a snap, crackle and a pop to he he.

What do you think of the Kellogg's Retro range beaut's?? I'd love to know!!

Zoella Kissy Missy Lip Balm Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

I'm pretty sure if your into watching beauty, fashion and lifestyle related video's on YouTube that you've all heard of Zoella (Zoe Sugg) before, I started reading her blog and watching her video's years ago and since then she's had so much success and released her own pampering range named 'Zoella Beauty' you go girl ha ha. I did buy a couple of things from the Zoella Beauty line last year and really enjoyed using them and recently Zoe has launched a brand new 'Tutti Fruity' line with Summer in mind, obviously I had to treat myself to a couple of things from the line so I decided to pick up the Scrubbing Me Softly Soothing Body Scrub (review coming soon), Bath Lily and the Kissy Missy Lip Balm which is what I'll be reviewing today!
The Kissy Miss Lip Balm (£3.00) comes in a cute plastic pot with a screw lid that has the Zoella logo adorned on it, it's the perfect size for your handbag/makeup bag and the screw lid stays on really well so you don't have to worry about it coming undone what so ever. The balm itself is a lot different than I expected, I was thinking it would have the texture of Vaseline but it doesn't what so ever, instead its quite a hard, solid balm that requires you to work your finger on the surface to kind of melt it. Once applied on the lips it feels lovely and smooth and so moisturised, I think it will be really beneficial during the winter months when your pout is really dry and needs a boost of moisture.
One of my favourite things about this lip balm is the pigmentation, it's so opaque and looks like you've applied lipstick to your lips not a lip balm, you can either apply one thin layer of the balm for a subtle pink tint or two thin layers will give you a fully opaque, hot pink pout which is so girly and fun. The colour does leave a slight stain on the lips so it wears really well and lasts for hours. As for the scent... The balm is enriched with extracts of Acai and Blueberry and is suppose to have the Tutti Fruity scent that flows through out the entire new collection however I don't get that at all, instead all I get is vanilla, it actually smells a lot like a MAC lipstick to be honest which smell amazing so that's good enough for me.

Overall I do really like Zoella's Kissy Missy Lip Balm, it's great to throw in your handbag for on the go and I love how moisturising and nourishing it is, I would say that I think it is aimed more towards the younger generation but that doesn't bother me or take away from the fact its a good lip balm so yeah, I really like it!

What are your thoughts on Zoella's new Tutti Fruity beauty range? I'd love to know beaut's!

August Favourites ♥

Hey girlie's!!!

I cant quite believe its that time again.... August favourites time. I honestly cant believe how quick August has gone but i have to say I'm now getting super excited for autumn to arrive i just cant wait. Anywhoo... I thought i would share with you all my favourite beauty products I've been loving throughout this past month... So here goes...

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me

I adore 'Cherry Me' out of the UK's Baby Lips collection, id say its definitely the best of the bunch for me. Its super moisturising, smells delicious and has good pigmentation for a tinted lip balm. I also love the fact these aren't in little pots where you have to apply the balm to your lips with your finger making these alot more hygienic especially for on the go applications. Ive also noticed that my lips feel so much smoother than before and i can see myself repurchasing 'Cherry Me' over and over again. I have reviewed the whole collection of the Baby Lips, you can have a read here.

L'oreal Super Liner in Black Lacquer

Over the last couple of months I've really been getting into wearing eyeliner on my top lash line and winging it out sometimes but this is something I've struggled to master for quite some time, I've tried lots of different liquid liners in the past and so far this 'L'oreal Super Liner' has to be the best and the most easy to use. The applicator lets you apply thin or thick lines with ease and makes creating flicks/wings really simple, its also super long lasting and totally smudge proof, once its on it ain't budging so you have to work quick. I will be reviewing this in full soon so look out for that.

Max Factor Wild Mega Volume Mascara in Black

I love this mascara, even after buying other mascara's recently i always find myself going back to this one. It gives me just the right amount of volume for a general day to day mascara but the thing i love about it the most is the staying power, it literally doesn't budge all day long which is something i always want from a mascara as theres nothing worse than a flaky smudgy mascara. I have reviewed this in full so feel free to click here and have a read.

Radox Shower Smoothies in Tropical Tranquillity

Now this is quite a different thing for me to put in my favourites as usually i swear by the Soap & Glory Clean On Me shower gel but i was coming to the end of that so when i was in Superdrug i saw that the 'Radox Shower Smoothie' range was on offer for 74p, i smelt the other 3 in the range but decided on 'Tropical Tranquility' a coconut scented shower smoothie with little pieces of crushed almonds and myrrh inside. It feels so soft and gentle on the skin and the almonds act like a gentle exfoliante, it also makes your skin smell gorgeous after your shower too.

Burberry Tender Touch Ea De Parfum 50ml

I adore this Burberry perfume and its most definitely one of my signature scents, I've been using this throughout spring and summer as it has such a lovely sweet floral scent to it and as you can see i only have a very small amount left (sad face). Ive also noticed that i get lots of compliments when wearing this so it seems to be a well liked scent too.

What's been your favourite beauty products this month?? I'd love to know :)

E.L.F Conditioing Lip Balm | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

I recently made an E.L.F order so i thought id pick up the much talked about Conditioning Lip Balms. I decided on 'Mellow Melon' and 'Peaceful Pink'!!! Each lip balm has SPF 15 with vitamins A & E and claims to relieve and condition lips. These lip balms do definitely live up to my expectations, they are both really creamy and super moisturising and leave my lips feeling super smooth and conditioned. I also love the packaging, they are abit big for your makeup bag but regardless of that the packaging seems very sturdy, the lid is extremely secure and wont be unscrewing itself in your handbag and i also think they look more expensive than their bargain price of £3.50, however i purchased mine when they had their 60% off everything offer so i only paid £1.40 for each balm whoop, that's one thing i love about E.L.F they always have amazing offers and deals on. Anywhooo onto what i think of each balm...

Mellow Melon

Mellow melon is a coral/pinky shade, i was so surprised with how pigmented this shade is considering this is only a lip balm but the colour pay off is really impressive. I also adore the nice glossy finish the balms leave on the lips and it isn't sticky or tacky what so ever either.

Peaceful Pink

Peaceful Pink is baby pink colour when swatched, but once applied to the lips it gives you an ever so slight baby pink tint, its not as pigmented as mellow melon but then it is a lighter shade so that was to be expected. Like mellow melon this shade leaves a gorgeous glossy finish to the lips and isn't sticky or tacky at all.

All in all I'm super happy i picked these up, i think their great for days when you don't wont to wear a bright lip but you still want a small amount of colour or days when your not wearing much makeup and want to look more natural, even if your going on holiday these balms would be great to keep your lips protected whilst in the sun because of the added SPF. If you haven't tried these already id definitely suggest giving them a go.

Did you take advantage of E.L.F's 60% off offer??? What did you buy???

Glossybox June 2013 | Review

After coming home from work on Saturday to see my Glossy box had been delivered i was super excited but..... if I'm being totally honest my excitement was short lived as I'm not that impressed with this months box atall. There's only 2 things in this months that I'm excited to try and know i will use hhhmmm, anyway on to what was inside.

Figs & Rouge Coco Rose Lip Balm Rrp £5.00

I'm super happy i got this as not only do i love Figs & Rouge as a brand but i love the fact that their products are 100% Natural. I adore the packaging, not only is it super cute but its really convenient too as i hate putting my fingers into those tinned lip balms so this is definitely the hygienic option. The lip balm itself is lovely and moisturising and provides you with a light tint to the lips, it also smells lush.

Helen E Cosmetics Shimmering Eye Powder In Shade 26 Rrp £5.00

I wasn't really jumping for joy when i saw this as i don't really like Helen E products, i don't  find the quality to be that good and the packaging is awful too. The eye shimmer itself is quite pigmented but i don't see how this fits into the 'Summer' theme that Glossy box have gone for this month, its a very dark slightly duo chromed blue/dark grey which isn't my cup of tea I'm afraid.

Nux Huile Prodigieuse OR Rrp £34.00

Another product that I'm not that crazy about, I've never really got into the whole dry oil craze as i really do hate how they feel on my skin. I did pop a small amount of this multi purpose oil on the back of my hand just to see what it was like, it added a slight golden glow to my skin but wasn't shimmery or glittery what so ever, even though it appears to look very shimmery in the bottle. It's probably great for someone who enjoys oils but sadly i don't.

Mememe Long Lasting Nail Gloss In 67 Graceful Rrp £5.00

The colour of this really lets it down for me unfortunately, its a real nude pinkish colour which would be OK for french manicures but i have very small short nails so i could never have a french manicure on my natural nails. I think if the colour would of been a spring/summer shade it would have been perfect.

Monu Hydrating Moisturiser Rrp £29.95

Finally something i actually like ha ha. This moisturiser is lovely and also has the added bonus of SPF 15 which i thought was good. I found it sat really nicely under my foundation and didn't slip at all, it also smells really fresh which i love. I also thought the sample size of 30ml was really generous considering the full size is 50ml so that's a little Brucie bonus.

On a whole i think this months box was pretty pants when you compare it to previous boxes, I'm hoping this is just a blip and Glossy box will be back on form next month.

What did you think to this months box girlie's???

MUA Power Pout Review

MUA Power Pouts are 'colour intense tint and balm's'. When i first saw them i couldn't believe how similar they looked to the Clinque Chubby Sticks and Revlon's Kissable Balm Stains, so that was me sold and i had to get myself a couple a try.

When i first applied these Power Pout's the first thing i noticed was the fact these are super moisturising, like the name states it definitely felt like i had a lip 'balm' on. Next i was amazed at the 'tint' aspect, once the balm had worn off i was left with a stain on my lips more than an actual tint and it lasted for hours, even with me drinking and eating. I love the fact its long lasting as I'm super lazy at reapplying lip products so this kind of product id definitely up my street.

The pigmentation of these is great considering these are balm based lip product's not to mention that these where only £3 each, yup that's right £3. I do love a good bargain.

The two i picked up are.....

Justify
A gorgeous Coral colour, perfect for spring/summer.

Irreplaceable
A deep girly pink/purple.

The colour's of the Power Pouts do look quite bright and strong from the stick but once applied they don't look to overwhelming and just give u that soft tint/stain to the lips. There   also is a slight minty fragrance to them but nothing to strong or noticeable once on the lips, so if your not to keen on mint don't be too alarmed.

On a whole I'm really enjoying using these, i have to say the shade Justify is my favourite as i find it really easy to wear and the colour is great for a day to day look.

Have you tried these yet?? What did you think??

Revlon Lip Butter Review

Hey girlie's!!!! Today i thought i would share my thoughts on my most loved lip product to date, the Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter.

This is a balm like lipstick that has a medium amount of pigment, I'm not sure how pigmented the rest of the collection is as i have only tryed this one  'Cotten Candy' out. As you can see by the images i LOVE this product and have used most of mine up now, my reason for liking this product so much is the fact its part balm part lipstick so your getting the colour payoff and staying power of a lipstick but also the moisturising feeling of a lip balm. In general I'm not a big lipstick wearer as i hate how most of the time they dry my lips out so when i saw this advertised on TV i went and snapped it up quick as i loved the idea of it. They are super super moisturising and i found even if my lips where abit chapped before application afterwards they looked silky smooth and nourished.  As far as wear goes, on me it lasts around 3 hours unless i eat or drink something then its less, the colour is a real pretty pale pink with a golden sheen to it which i love and is great for day to day wear. Overall I'm really impressed with the quality of this and am defiantly going to repurchase this one and pick more up whilst I'm at it.

I got mine from my local Superdrug store for £5.99 as it was on an offer at the time but the usual price is around the £7.99 mark.

I hope this was helpful and if i did miss anything out please don't hesitate to ask me in the comments below as ill always reply.

Much love Hayley xXxXx
