July Glossybox | Stars and Stripes Edition

Hey beaut's!

So its that time again... Glossybox time!!! This month Glossybox have gone stateside with a special edition Stars and Stripes Box, showcasing exciting beauty brands born in the USA. The limited edition box is pretty impressive, I love the stars and stripes design and cant wait to reuse it somehow. One downside though is that I immeditly noticed I had no Glossy magazine?? I dont know if it's just my box or if there was no magazine this month but hey ho!

So lets see what I received inside my 'Stars and Stripes' Glossybox...

Carmex Lip Balm | Full Size | £2.69
This couldn't have come at a better time as I've literally just used up my pot of Carmex, this is definitely a handbag staple for all year round.

Absolute New York Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer | Full Size | $4.99
I cant wait to try this! I have horrid oily eyelids and the only primer that has ever worked for me is by Benefit so I cant wait to see how this fairs. The Primer claims to have an ultra-creamy formula that evens out the skin tone around the eye area and keeps your eyeshadow crease-free and colour-true all day long... Ohhh I sure hope so!

Bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick in Catwalk | Full Size | £20
This cult American favourite is formulated with natural waxes, mineral pigments and antioxidants including Vitamin C and E, providing long lasting coverage and protection against the sun. I must admit this lipstick certainly sounds like the business doesn't it ha ha, when I swatched it on the back of my hand it felt super creamy and smelt just like the vanilla scent MAC lipsticks have which is nice. As for the shade... I received Catwalk which is a natural-coral shade that I can see being a great everyday wearable shade.

Color Club Nail Polish in Glossy Seal | Full Size | $8
Colour Club is proudly made in New York with only non-toxic, cruelty free ingredients. The shade 'Glossy Seal' has been formulated especially for the July Glossybox which I think is pretty cool. I have actually tried this nail polish out already and the consistancy is very thick and hard wearing, it also leaves you with an incredible shine just like what you would get from a top coat.

Dr Bronner's Magic Liquid Soaps in Lavender | Sample | £3.99 for 140g
I cant see myself getting much use out of this little sample of soap as I hate the Lavender scent and as soon as I opened my Glossybox I was hit with that potent Lavender scent which was abit yukky! Scent aside it does sound very nice as Dr Bronner's Soap works to help calm nerves and sooth the body through a relaxing blend of organic coconut, palm, olive hemp, and jojoba oil as well as pure vitamin E and Lavender. If your a fan of Lavender you'll love this if not you'll probably give it to your Mum like I will ha ha.

Overall I'm really happy with this months box, it was actaully a freebie for me as I had collected enough of my Glossy dots to make me eligible for a free box so I just had to pay the P&P which was abit of a bonus he he! As for the contence... I'm really happy, I love trying out products that I'd never usally get to try being as im in the UK and the Limitd Edtion designed box is great too. I also love the fact that this month I only got one sample and my box contents averages at about £34.00 which I think is pretty good!!

What did you think of this month's box beaut's?? I'd love to know.

  1. I've stopped getting Glossybox because I noticed the samples were getting more and more drugstore and less high end, and if I'm honest I've only heard of 3 of the brands in yours! They do look like nice products though and I am missing getting my beauty box samples! love the design of this box too x

  4. So this explains why this month's box is all Americanified (is that a word? probably not!) - was totally confused seeing these boxes pop up in my news feed on UK blogs! The lipstick looks gorgeous - such a pretty colour! Do you subscribe every month? I used to get Glossyboxes but found I wasn't really finding anything that new or interesting in them so stopped my subscription... but that was about two years ago. Do you think you get value from them every month?Xx

  7. I love the lipstick shade you got, I got the bright orange and all the other contents were the same as yours. I love this months box design, maybe more than the actual products.
