Barry M Shape & Define Brow Kit | Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

A while back I noticed Barry M had jumped on the brow bandwagon and bought out their very own brow kit entitled 'Shape & Define'. Now I must admit it's extremely rare for me to buy brow pencils, powders, palette's etc because I'm far to in love with my HD Brows Kit, however Barry M had a 3 for 2 offer on at the time and the kit looked too cute to leave so I thought 'what the hell' and treated myself he he.

Barry M's Brow Kit contains an eyebrow wax, eyebrow powder, a highlighter, double-ended applicator and the cutest mini tweezers I've ever seen and claims to be the perfect 3 step kit to shape, define and highlight brows. The packaging of the kit I love, it has a simple black casing with all the lettering having that gold etched effect, and has a handy tutorial on the back which is great for begginers, it's not too big nor too small and is perfect for travelling or carrying around on the go. The kit opens up by lifting up lid which contains a handy mirror inside and the double-ended applicator and mini tweezers sit comfortably into groves within the kit. Unfortunately the kit doesn't have various shades to choose from like Light, Medium or Dark instead it's a 'suit's all' kit which to be honest I do think is abit naff however I do think the wax in the kit can be fairly universal.
I must admit this was actually the first time I've ever used a brow wax through my eyebrows, I always tend to use powder so I was unsure what to expect, the wax itself is what I'd call an ashy toned brown with a hint of chestnut haha which would be perfect for darker blonde's and light brunettes but to be honest even if your brows are darker the wax still works well as a nice base to really get those brows into shape and gives the brow powder something to cling too, resulting in better lasting power. The middle shade in the kit is the actual brow powder itself, now this really is quick dark, it's a cooled toned dark brown that would be best used on dark brunettes or light/medium brunettes if used with a light hand, it's nicely pigmented, soft to swatch and blends out a treat. Lastly the highlight shade, which is a bright cream shade with no noticeable shimmer of glitter running through it making it perfect to mix with the darker brown brow powder for a more subtle brow shade and of course you can use it alone for highlighting the brow bone to finish off your brows.
The way I like to use the kit personally is by using my Nanshy Angled Detailer Brush (review here) to pick up some of the wax and really shape my brows into place and the wax helps tame those pesky brow hair's that like to stick out or not go into place, I then take small amounts of the brow powder on the same brush and using a light hand I fill my brows in as usual, I find by using the wax and the powder together it creates perfect, defined, natural shaped brows that stay in place all day, I love it! I often use the highlight powder from the kit on a detailer brush and run that underneath my brow and at the top of the brow too, kind of how you would use concealer to sharpen your brows and it works really well, however I always use different highlighters depending on my mood ha ha.

I also love that Barry M added the two little extras in the shape of a brush and tweezers as it really does complete the kit, I must admit I haven't used the little brush applicator in the kit as of yet as I like to use a brush with a longer handle for better precision but it does feel OK in quality. I LOVE the little tweezers, they are so handy and great at getting those hard to reach brow hairs, genuis!

Overall I do really love this little kit, and for £5,99 I think it's super affordable too. I do really wish the kits came in shades as this certainly wont suit all but apart from that I have no negatives towards this kit at all, I also think it would be great for beginners as it has everything your'll need.

Have you tried the Barry M Brow Kit beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know!
