I've recently been on the hunt for a reasonably priced eye cream as believe it or not I've never used an eye cream before, its strange as I always keep up a good skincare routine but never seem to think about pampering my eyes so I thought it was about time I started. I opted for Simples Soothing Eye Balm, I'm a huge Simple fan anyway, most of my skincare routine actually consists of Simple products because I have such dry/sensitive skin and as the eye balm was on offer for £2.66 instead of £3.99 in Superdrug it was a done deal.
The eye balm comes in a small 15ml plastic tube which at first glance looks like a sample size and got me wondering would I have to repurchase often if I liked the balm, but to my surprise you only need the tiniest amount, I mean less than a pea size amount does both of my eyes fine so a little definitely goes a long way with this.
Simple go by their 'Simple Goodness' philosophy, meaning the balm is packed full of goodness and contains...
2 Vital Vitamins
• Pro- Vitamin B5 which actively restores, softens and smooths the eye area.
• Vitamin E moisturises to improve the skins condition around the eyes.
3 Skin Loving Nutrients
• Jojoba Oil soothes and protects.
• Shea Butter nurtures and replenishes.
• Bisabolol soothes and calms.
No Perfume, No Colour
• No unnecessary or harsh chemicals so it won’t upset even the most sensitive skin.
• The balm is dermatologically tested and approved.
Simple claim that their eye balm winds down tired eyes, soothes a nurtures and reduces puffiness and I have to say I totally agree. I've been using the balm every morning before applying my make-up and every evening just before bed, popping a teeny, tiny amount on the back of my hand and then using my ring finger I gently pat the balm around the eye area, I tend to concentrate more on my dark circles as mine can get quite bad. The balm does have a cooling sensation when first applied making it great for the mornings when your tired eyes need waking up and need an extra boost ha ha. Since using the balm I've noticed such a difference in my eyes appearance, the dark circles under my eyes are no where near as dark as they where prior to using the balm, I rarely wake up with puffy eyes anymore, the skin around my eyes feels so smooth and moisturised when I wake up in the mornings after I've used the balm the night before. I also love the fact that the balm doesn't interfere with my eye makeups lasting ability, it doesn't crease or move my concealer which is one of the things I was worried about but no, no problems there.
Overall I'm so glad I decided to try Simples Eye Balm out, it's really impressed me and works an absolute treat, I will definitely be repurchasing this over and over when I need to.
Have you tried Simples Eye Balm or do you have another eye balm/cream that's your favourite? I'd love to know.

DeleteI was thinking about trying this. I love Simple products, and now that I've read this review I think I'm definitely going to pick some up because this stuff is a heck of a lot cheaper (in price) than the stuff I currently wear from Clinique. Alisia | Some Writers
