Yankee Candle Christmas Memories Votive Review

Hey beaut's!

Christmas candles are everywhere at the moment and I'm absolutely loving it, I picked up quite a few back in October and have gradually been burning through them but there was one real stand out festive candle that was my absolute favourite and I just HAVE to share it with you all today, and that candle in question is Yankee Candles Christmas Memories.

Christmas Memories (£1.80) is described as 'the heart of the kitchen, unforgettable holiday moments are brought home again with this comforting recipe of spices and sweets' and for me this is literally like every festive smell within one candle, it has a top note of cinnamon spice, a middle note of sugar cookies and a base note of warm vanilla, so think sweet, spicy, warming and so christmasy. The scent throw of facChristmas Memories is really good, it fills the house with it's gorgeous cinnamon and warming scent first and after it's been burning a little while I start getting the sugar cookie sweetness, oh my goodness this is literally the best smelling Christmas candle everrrr.

All of the Yankee Candle votive/samplers claim to provide up to 15 hours of fragrance and Christmas Memories certainly lasted well, I think because the scent really lingers and fills the entire house you don't have to keep it alight for so long so you can certainly get a good few uses out of it that's for sure.

Have you tried Christmas Memories beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know.

Bunny Cake Yankee Candle Review

Hey beaut's!

The other week me and my boyfriend decided to pop into our local garden centre because I wanted to stock up on a few more candles and I was excited to see that they had some of their Easter Collection out. One of the Easter gift sets quickly caught my eye and my boyfriend kindly bought it for me (find it HERE), within the gift set was a votive holder and three votive's in yummy scents such as Vanilla Cupcake, Jelly Bean (review HERE) and Bunny Cake which I just had to review for you all today!

Bunny Cake has actually been around for the past couple of Easter's but I've never seen it in votive form before which is why I literally lept at the gift set it came in, you can get the large glass jar very easily but I always like to buy a votive first to make sure I really like the scent before committing to the large jar. Bunny Cake just looks like such a cute candle that I think most would gravitate towards, I love the bunny design and the baby pink wax and the scents description just sounds incredible "A delicious way to hop into spring ... a sweet treat of sugary coconut, creamy vanilla, and bright citrus." mmm yum! When burning Bunny Cake the coconut and vanilla definitely come through, it's delicately sweet and sugary and would certainly be a hit with someone who has a hankering for anything sweet like me, despite it's sweetness I didn't find it sickly in the slightest. I'd say the scent throw on this is light to medium, it's certainly noticeable but isn't one of those heavy scents that packs an almighty punch but I kind of like that!

All the Yankee Candle votive/samplers claim to provide up to 15 hours of fragrance and Bunny Cake certainly lasted well, arhhh its so lovely and I'm definitely going to have to treat myself to the large jar if I cant get any more votives he he.

Have you tried Bunny Cake before beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know.

Yankee Candle Jelly Bean Votive Review

Hey beaut's!

Last weekend me and my boyfriend decided to pop into our local garden centre because I wanted to stock up on a few more candles and I was excited to see that they had some of their Easter Collection out. One of the Easter gift sets quickly caught my eye and my boyfriend kindly bought it for me (find it HERE), within the gift set was a votive holder and three votive's in yummy scents such as Vanilla Cupcake, Bunny Cake and Jelly Bean which I just had to review for you all today!

Jelly Bean was actually released last Easter but I've never seen it in votive form before which is why I literally lept at the gift set it came in, you can get the large glass jar very easily but I always like to buy a votive first to make sure I really like the scent before committing to the large jar. Jelly Bean is described as 'a colourful, fun childhood treat you never outgrow, bursting with the scent of sugary sweet fruits' doesn't it sound yummy. I actually love the scent of Jelly Bean, just imagine the smell you get when opening a bag of jelly beans because that's really what this one smells like and I love it. It has a sugary sweets smell with fruity hints but mostly I get an American grape kind of smell which is one of my favourite scents and really takes me back to being little! The scent throw is medium, it's definitely not overpowering but fills the house with it's gorgeous scent really quickly, and even though it's sugary I never found it sickly at all.

All the Yankee Candle votive/samplers claim to provide up to 15 hours of fragrance and Jelly Bean certainly lasted well, I actually burnt Jelly Bean in my kitchen this time around and it filled the room within minutes and wafted right upstairs, arhhh its so lovely and I think I'm even going to have to treat myself to the large jar now he he.

Have you tried Jelly Bean before beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know.

Yankee Candle 'Berry Trifle' Votive Review

Hey beaut's!

For Christmas I was lucky enough to receive some Yankee Candles and one of those was a Berry Trifle votive which was part of my present from my secret Santa at work! Berry Trifle was actually a limited edition scent that Yankee Candle released just for Christmas so it might be quite difficult to get hold of now however, the Yankee Candle website do still have a few left in the sale which I took advantage of he he.

Berry Trifle  is described as a 'mouth-watering fragrance of fresh berries, tangy and sharp, nestled on a bed of soft vanilla cream' oh my goodness, sounds good enough to eat doesn't it! I'm a HUGE fan of berry scents in general so I knew I would like Berry Trifle and it turns out I absolutely love it! It's quite a fruity yet sweet scent and raspberries and cranberries definitely comes through, theres a light vanilla fragrance too which comes from the vanilla cream but the berry scent is definitely what comes out on top and is the most recognisable. The scent throw is medium, it's definitely not overpowering but fills the house with it's gorgeous scent really quickly, I've even had comments about how nice my house smelt when I've been burning Berry Trifle which is definitely a good sign of a nice smelling candle.

All the Yankee Candle votive/samplers claim to provide up to 15 hours of fragrance and Barry Trifle certainly lasted well, I think because the scent really lingers and fills the entire house you don't have to keep it alight for so long so you can certainly get a good few uses out of it that's for sure.

Have you tried Berry Trifle beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know.

Yankee Candle 'Holiday Magic' Votive Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

The other week I bought three more of the Simply Home Yankee Candles from Asda, I'm still not really sure what the difference is between the original Yankee Candles and the Simply Home range is to be honest, they seem to be a bit cheaper in price which is always good and have a different range of gorgeous scent's to choose from and they seem to burn just as well so the mind boggles he he. Anyway since the festive season is now well and truly upon us I thought it would be the perfect time to review the  favourite scent out of the three I picked up named 'Holday Magic'.

Holiday Magic (£1.00) is described as 'a wonderful mix of bayberry, clove, cinnamon and balsam fir, you'll be lighting it up on those winter nights for a scent of  Christmas magic' and that is pretty much on point to be honest. Holiday Magic really is every christmasy scent rolled into one candle, it's mildly spicy, a touch sweet and fruity and theres also a Christmas tree scent to it to which comes from the balsam fir notes, it certainly is a Christmas scent mash up but oddly as it burns the scents don't mix together, at some points you get the warm spiciness then the freshness of the Christmas tree come through, its divine. The scent throw is medium, it's definitely not overpowering but fills the house with it's gorgeous festive scent very quickly and really lingers when blown out. I think this is the perfect candle to burn on Christmas Day because its just so festive and smells of a traditional Christmas if that makes sense.

All the Yankee Candle votive/samplers claim to provide up to 15 hours of fragrance and Holiday Magic certainly lasts really well, I think because the scent really lingers and fills the entire house you don't have to keep it alight for so long so you can certainly get a good few uses out of it that's for sure.

What is your favourite Festive Candle beaut's? I'd love to know!

Yankee Candle 'Christmas Treats' Votive Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Quite a while back I bought a selection of Simply Home Yankee Candles from Asda, I'm not really sure what the difference is between the original Yankee Candles and the Simply Home range is to be honest, they seem to be a bit cheaper in price which is always good and have a different range of gorgeous scent's to choose from and they seem to burn just as well so the mind boggles he he. Anyway since the festive season is now upon us I thought it would be the perfect time to review my favourite candle at the moment 'Christmas Treats', I've actually been burning the large jar of this and have recently finished it but I stocked up on few votive's too because I love it that much he he.

Christmas Treats (£1.00) is described as 'everybodys favourite, irresistible buttery rich vanilla cookies topped with sweet sugar sprinkles' and that is pretty much on point to be honest. To me Christmas Treats smells just like a combination of sweet white chocolate, vanilla frosting and shortbread, and it takes all my strength not to eat it! If your a fan of Yankee Candles original Christmas Cookie scent then you'll love Christmas Treats because they basically smell identical, the sweetness and vanilla really comes through but you also get a bakery scent come through too as if you where actually baking sugar cookies, it's absolutely delicious! The scent throw is medium, it's definitely not overpowering but fills the house with it's gorgeous scent very quickly and really lingers when blown out, I personally don't find Christmas Treats sickly what so ever but I am a huge fan of the sweet, sugary scents.

All the Yankee Candle votive/samplers claim to provide up to 15 hours of fragrance and Christmas Treats certainly always lasts me really well, I think because the scent really lingers and fills the entire house you don't have to keep it alight for so long so you can certainly get a good few uses out of it that's for sure.

Whats your favourites Christmassy Candle scent beaut's? I'd love to know!

Yankee Candle Gingerbread Maple Votive Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

I recently popped into my local garden centre to check out their spectacular Christmas department and of course I gravitated towards the Yankee Candle section. As well as all the Christmas candles being out Yankee Candle also have released an Autumn collection called 'Sweet Treats' so I just had to try a couple from the range starting with Gingerbread Maple.

Gingerbread Maple is described as 'Baking spices and the warm fragrance of cloves, with just a touch of maple, that bring back memories of gingerbread cooling on cookie sheets' and oh my goodness it literally smells like heaven. If your into sweet yet spicy scents then Gingerbread Maple will be right up your street, to me it smells very much like when your baking your own gingerbread, all the way from making the gingerbread dough to when they are baking in the oven and to when they are cooling down, it literally fills the house with a Christmas baking vibe. The scent throw is medium, it's definitely not overpowering but as I said before it fills the house with it's gorgeous scent very quickly without being sickly what so ever. I just love this scent so much and will definitely need to stock up, I would even go as far as saying it's my favourite scent that Yankee Candle have released so far this year, it's gorgeous!

All the Yankee Candle votive/samplers claim to provide up to 15 hours of fragrance and Gingerbread Maple certainly lasted really well, I think because the scent really lingers and fills the entire house you don't have to keep it alight for so long so you can certainly get a good few uses out of it that's for sure.

Yankee Candle 'Fireside Treats' Votive Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

I recently popped into my local garden centre to check out their spectacular Christmas department and of course I gravitated towards the Yankee Candle section, there was a few of my favourite Yankee's that I had been meaning to pick up for while so I decided to get them this time around, one of which was Fireside Treats which I actually bought three of, I know I'm terrible aren't I he he.

Fireside Treats is one of my all time favourite Yankee Candle scents, its available all year round but I think its definitely best suited during the Autumn and Winter so I tend to stock up at this time of year hence why I picked three up this time around he he. Yankee Candle describe Fireside Treats as 'The joys of camp ... mesmerised by the fire, singing and laughing, while toasting marshmallows to rich, gooey perfection!' and it really is, it smells exactly like your toasting marshmallows by the fire on a cold crisp day, its soooo nice and very realistic. If you like mild sweet scents with a touch of smokiness and warmth then you honestly need to try Fireside Treats because I think you'll love it. The scent throw is medium, it's definitely not overpowering but fills the house with it's gorgeous scent very quickly without being sickly what so ever.

All the Yankee Candle votive/samplers claim to provide up to 15 hours of fragrance and Fireside Treats certainly always lasts me really well, I think because the scent really lingers and fills the entire house you don't have to keep it alight for so long so you can certainly get a good few uses out of it that's for sure.

Yankee Candle NEW 'Cosy By The Fire' Votive Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Yankee Candle have recently launched lots of new scents for Autumn and Winter 2015 so of course being the Yankee Candle lover that I am I just had to go and stock up. I quickly made my way over to my local garden centre which has a huge range of Yankee Candle's and found that all of their Autumn and  Christmas scents where out and my goodness they look amazing this year so I treated myself to a couple.

One of the first votives I set my eyes on was Cosy By The Fire which is a brand new scent for the Yankee Candle Christmas collection. The scent of Cosy By The Fire is described as 'A warm mix of ginger, clove, and orange combines with woody notes to give the snap of a crackling fire and the comfort of a hot aromatic drink beside it', now doesn't that sound so Autumnal and festive, even the picture on the front of the wrapper makes me feel all warm and cosy he he. I definitely get a warm, cosy vibe when I first light Cosy By The Fire and the ginger, clove and woody notes definitely come through, I also oddly get a slight fresh Christmas tree smell from this too, its not strong but the pine needle fragrance is definitely there. The scent throw for Cosy By The Fire I'd say is medium which is perfect for me, it quickly fills the house with it's warming festive scent and lingers for hours without being overpowering at all. Overall I really enjoyed this new scent from Yankee Candle and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes the really tradition festive scents such as the ginger, cloves, oranges, cinnamon and pine needle.

All the Yankee Candle votive/samplers claim to provides up to 15 hours of fragrance and Cosy By The Fire certainly lasted really well, I think because the scent really lingers you don't have to keep it alight for so long so you can certainly get a good few uses out of it that's for sure.

Yankee Candle 'Candy Corn' Halloween Votive Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Yankee Candle have recently launched lots of new scents for Autumn and Winter 2015 so of course being the Yankee Candle lover that I am I just had to go and stock up. I quickly made my way over to my local garden centre which has a huge range of Yankee Candle's and found that allof their autumnal, Halloween and Christmas scents where out and my goodness they look amazing this year so I treated myself to a couple.

The first votive I set my eyes on was Candy Corn which is of course from the Halloween line. The scent of Candy Corn is described as 'the familiar, sweet scent of candy corn which is a fond reminder of Halloween fun and treats' which I have to say is pretty on point to be honest. If you like sweet scents then you'll love Candy Corn because it definitely has that 'candy/sugary' vibe running through it, I also get waves of vanilla and sometimes honey or caramel too which I love in candles so I've really been enjoying this one. Even though Candy Corn is a sugary, sweet scent it isn't sickly or heavy at all, instead its very light and subtle.

All the Yankee Candle votive/samplers claim to provides up to 15 hours of fragrance but personally I don't think my Candy Corn votive lasted that long because I had it burning constantly because the scent throw is very light, never the less I still adore this candle and I'm now tempted to buy the medium glass jar because it looks so cool and I would love to use it to decorate with over Halloween.

Will you be buying any of the Halloween Yankee Candles this year?? Let me know beaut's!

Yankee Candle 'Tarte Tatin' Votive Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Yankee Candle have recently launched lots of new scents for Spring and Summer 2015 ranging from the more traditional beachy scents to sweet bakery scents so of course being the Yankee Candle lover that I am I just had to go and stock up. I quickly made my way over to my local garden centre which has a huge range of Yankee Candle's and found their NEW Cafe Culture Collection, I picked up the three new votives from the collection and have already reviewed Pain Au Raisin and Cappuccino Truffle but today I have Tarte Tatin (£1.80) to review for you all.

Tarte Tatin is described as a just-baked tart made with sweet apples, spices and vanilla, mmmm now that sounds delicious doesn't it! For me Tarte Tatin is my favourite out of the Cafe Culture collection, it just smells divine. Imagine a freshly baked apple pastry with a hint of cinnamon and that's your scent right there, it really is good enough to eat and is so homely and warm and will definitely be a hit with those who have a sweet tooth like myself that's for sure. Like I've said before I do find the Cafe Culture candles quite a strange collection of scents to release for Spring/Summer, I think they suit more autumnal days because of that slight spiciness that most of them have running through them, that being said if you like a sweet, sugary scent like I do then they are all fine to burn all year round.

All the Yankee Candle votive/samplers claim to provides up to 15 hours of fragrance but personally I've found that Tarte Tatin  has lasted me so much longer because it throws off a rather strong scent, I only have to have Tarte Tatin lit for a couple hours and that's enough to fragrance my entire house with it's sweet, bakery scent which is amazing and such great value.

You can find the entire Cafe Culture Collection on the Yankee Candle Website with prices starting from £1.49 to £19.99.

What's your favourite scent from Yankee Candle's new collections?? I'd love to know beaut's!!

Yankee Candle 'Cappuccino Truffle' Votive Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Yankee Candle have recently launched lots of new scents for Spring and Summer 2015 ranging from beachy scents to sweet bakery scents so of course being the Yankee Candle lover that I am I just had to go and stock up. I quickly made my way over to my local garden centre which has a huge range of Yankee Candle's and found their NEW Cafe Culture Collection, I picked up a few candles from the collection which I'll be reviewing over the next couple of weeks but today I have Cappuccino Truffle (£1.80) to review for you all.

Cappuccino Truffle is described as a decadent pairing of bold, roasted coffee and luscious, velvety chocolate.... Mmmm now that sounds so yummy doesn't it! I find Cappuccino Truffle quite a rich, indulgent scent, personally I cant smell the cappuccino within this candle at all, it's definitely all about the chocolate so if your a bit of a chocoholic like myself then you'll love this candle. Because Cappuccino Truffle is quite indulgent it can come across a little sickly if you have had it burning for a long period of time, I'd suggest just burning it until the aroma has filled your home and then save the rest for another day. Like I said before when I reviewed Pain Au Raisin I find this Cafe Culture collection to be quite a strange set of scents to release for Spring/Summer, personally I think the collection is quite cosy and suits more autumnal days, that being said if you like a sweet, indulgent, sugary scent like I do then it's fine to burn all year round.

All the Yankee Candle votives/samplers claim to provides up to 15 hours of fragrance but personally I've found that Cappuccino Truffle has lasted me so much longer because of the fact its a tad sickly, I only have to have Cappuccino Truffle lit for a couple hours and that's enough for me he he.

You can find the entire Cafe Culture Collection on the Yankee Candle Website with prices starting from £1.49 to £19.99.

Pain Au Raisin is described as having a tantalising aroma of cognac soaked raisins that are baked in buttery vanilla dough and sprinkled with cinnamon, mm mm now that sounds like a scent I'd actually love to eat he he. Personally for me Pain Au Raisin smells just like a bakery or that home made cakes in the oven smell, it's sweet, sugary, buttery with a light kick of spice that comes from the cinnamon and just smells absolutely delicious, it's definitely going to be a hit with those who have a sweet tooth like myself that's for sure. I must admit it's quite a strange scent to release for Spring/Summer as I think it suits more autumnal days because of that slight spiciness that it has running through it, that being said if you like a sweet, sugary scent like I do then it's fine to burn all year round.

Yankee Candle 'Beach Holiday' Votive Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

Yankee Candle have recently launched lots of new scents for Spring and Summer 2015 so of course being the Yankee Candle lover that I am I just had to go and stock up. I quickly made my way over to my local garden centre which has a huge range of Yankee Candle's and found their Life's A Beach Collection and their Cafe Culture Collection, I picked up a few candles from each collection which I'll be reviewing over the next few weeks but today I have Beach Holiday (£1.80) to review for you all.

Beach Holiday is described as a clean, fresh scent of ocean air which is so real you can practically feel the salt spray, which I have to say is a pretty on point description. I must admit because of it's beachy theme I was expecting Beach Holiday to smell more like sun cream and coconut but actually it's very fresh and smells extremely 'beachy',  it's just like when you go to the beach and it has that particular sea air smell.... well that's exactly what Beach Holiday smells like, but with some added floral notes which makes it the most amazing fragrance that perfect for the Summer.

All the Yankee Candle votive/samplers claim to provides up to 15 hours of fragrance but personally I've found that Beach Holiday has lasted me so much longer because it kicks off such a strong scent, I literally only have to have Beach Holiday lit for around an hour and that's enough to fragrance my entire house which is amazing and such great value.
