NEW Garnier Moisture Bomb Super-Hydrating Soothing Tissue Mask Reviewed!

You might remember back in March I reviewed my all time favourite face mask from the drugstore - Garnier's Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask! I love that mask so much and always buy them in bulk because I cant be without them in my stash, but when I spotted a couple of new Garnier tissue masks in Superdrug a few weeks back I was intrigued and just had to buy one to try to see if it was as good as my trusty Moisture Bomb mask.

The Garnier Moisture Bomb Super-Hydrating Soothing Tissue Mask is an all in one, ultra thin sheet mask which is suitable for all skin types but is especially targeted for those with dry sensitive skin who are prone to tightness like me. The mask itself is infused with soothing Chamomile, super-hydrating plant serum and hyaluronic acid, making this an ultra moisturising yet calming mask to use that will leave the skin softer, hydrated and soothed. To apply the mask you just pop it out of the packaging, unfold it and simply place it onto cleansed skin, then peal off the blue backing once your happy with the masks placement and then leave it to do its thing for 15 minutes. Whilst the mask is on you'll notice that the mask itself is absolutely drenched in serum, personally I love this because once you take the mask off theres still plenty of serum left on my face to rub into my skin, so my skin really gets a huge dose of moisture. 

The results for me after using the Garnier Moisture Bomb Super-Hydrating Soothing Tissue Mask are great, my skin feels super moisturised, really soft and smooth, any tightness around my dry patches where nourished and the mask soothed and calmed any redness I had around my nose. In terms of it working differently to the original moisture bomb mask... I don't see much difference in the results at all, the one difference I found is that this chamomile mask doesn't have the cooling effect that the original moisture bomb mask has, so this one doesn't feel as refreshing as maybe the original one does but that's simply it, their both so moisturising and nourishing and I honestly cant recommend them both enough if you have dry, dehydrated skin as they both work wonders for me and are hands down the best masks I've ever tried in terms of hydration, their incredible.

Avene Tolérance Extrême Mask Review

I'm a huge fan of Avene's skincare, I have very sensitive skin which is always in need of a moisture boost and I find their the one skincare brand I can always rely on for being extremely gentle on my skin. I've recently been giving their Tolérance Extrême Mask a whirl and have been so impressed by the results, if you have dry skin beaut's you need this little beauty in your life!

The Avene Tolérance Extrême Mask* is an intensely soothing and calming mask for all skin types, even the most sensitive like myself. This refreshing mask contains a combination of only 7 skin friendly ingredients, which leave the skin intensely hydrated, without that heavy feeling, allowing skin to breathe! It's also great at re-plumping the skin and comforting, it's like a friendly hug for your face he he.

At the moment I've been using this mask once or twice a week, I feel like before using this mask my skin was very half and half, some days it was very dry and other days it's only dry in patches, so once or twice a week usage is perfect for me right now. I tend to slap the mask on quite thickly during the evening leaving it on for a good 10 minutes or so, the formula is super creamy and whilst the masks on it feels super cooling and soothing, and actually feels like its doing something and perking my skin right up! Once the 10 minutes is up my skin honestly feels amazing, it's so hydrated and plumped and dryness seems to be a thing of the past, I can tell that this mask is going to be an absolute essential for me during Autumn and Winter this year because my skin is SOOOO dry during that time so I cant wait to really put this too the test then!

Overall I think this is a gorgeous mask and it would work perfectly for anyone who really needs a moisture boost or who finds dryness a real pain, it nourishes my skin so much locking in moisture and in turn my makeup sits better on my skin and my face looks and feels so smooth and soft. Another amazing this about the Avene Tolérance Extrême Mask besides the product itself is the packaging, it might look like your average packaging but in actual fact it's completely sterile meaning no air can get in and out of the tube. The masks formula is entirely protected without the need for any preservatives or parabens; this is why the ingredients list is so sparse, pretty cool huh.

Lush Mask of Magnaminty Review ♥

 I've really been getting into skincare a lot recently, its quite surprising to be honest because in the past a quick cleanse and moisturise would work for me but as I'm getting older I decided I really wanted to look after my skin and keep it in the best condition I can, so I needed to get a full skincare routine in place that I was happy with and finally I can say that I have with help of Emma Hardie (review coming soon) and Lush. Whilst on the hunt for a good skincare routine I knew I needed/wanted a good face mask. Id heard so many good things about Lush's face masks so I just I had to treat myself to one and I went for the popular and much loved Mask of Magnaminty.

Mask Of Magnaminty is a multi-purpose mask that can be used on your face and body and is made with purely natural ingredients including honey, ground aduki beans, evening primrose seeds, peppermint oil, African marigold oil and that just to name a few but trust me girls theres nothing but goodness in this mask. Mask Of Magnaminty's main purpose is to clean, calm and clear the skin so it's perfect is you have any problematic areas and I find it works amazingly on those pesky hormonal breakouts that I tend to get. 

The application process of Mask Of Magnaminty is very clean and easy, it has a very thick and creamy consistency so you don’t have to use an awful lot to cover your whole face and because it isn't runny it doesn't drip or run everywhere in your bathroom either which is a bonus. The mask also has a bit of a lumpy texture which is the ground aduki beans and primrose seeds, these work amazingly as they act as the exfoliate, so when you (gently) scrub the mask off, the beans exfoliate your skin at the same time, brilliant! Obviously being named Mask Of Magnaminty I expected a minty scent and oh my it smells just like mint ice cream its sooooo, well... lush ha ha. The mint really has a cooling effect on my skin and helps reduce any redness I might have at the time, it's amazing for around my nose that's for sure. 

You are directed to leave the mask on for five to ten minutes and I usually go for the full ten minutes just because I really want to mask to work deep into my skin. After ten minutes the mask becomes quite hard and your face will feel very tight and then you can begin having plenty of fun making silly faces trying to make the mask crack, there really is something very satisfying about making those funny faces whilst having a mask on isn't there he he. You will need a flannel or some sort of facial sponge to remove the mask as it is very thick and tends to hug your skin and wont want to be removed with just warm water, but afterwards my skin feels so soft, smooth, moisturised, polished, calmed, clean and theres not a piece of dry, flaky skin or redness in sight woohoo, I love it and cant recommend it enough beaut's!

Birchbox December 2013

Hey girlie's!!!

It's that time again... Birchbox time!!!! Ha ha... I was really looking forward to receiving this months box as I'm still getting used to Birchbox and the way they work after I unsubscribed from Glossy box a few monthes back, I've absolutely loved the last few Birchbox's I've received, but I have to say this monthes box is slightly mediocre and not as festive as I would have liked, that being said their are still some great bits in the box to try , also as Birchbox have just teamed up with BaubleBar a US jewellery store, they popped in a $20 gift card (approx £12) to spend on their website which I think is a nice little Christmas treat.

Anywhooo onto the little treasures I received inside my December Birchbox...

Nail Rock Nail Velvet in Burgundy

I'm so excited to try this out, textured nails and nail polishes seem to be everywhere at the moment but the Velvet Effect nails I'm yet to try. I love the deep purple shade I received as it will be perfect for this time of year and the effect seems simple enough to create, simply apply 2 coats of the nail polish, then dip your nails into the little pot of nail velvet, allow 15-20 minutes to fully dry, and then voila!!! This is the full size and retails for £6.99.

Alima Pure Luminous Shimmer Eyeshadow in Chai

Alima Pure isn't a brand I'm familiar with but I have to admit their all natural mineral eyeshadow is amazing!!! I tried it straight away after opening my box and immediately fell in love. The shade I received is 'Chai' which is a gorgeous Rose Gold shade, perfect for this time of year. You can use the eyeshadow dry for a more subtle shimmery look or use it wet for a more vibrant intense look. The full size of 'Chai' retails for £12.50.

Korres Citrus Shower Gel 50ml

I always like trying new shower gels so the Korres Citrus Shower gel will certainly get used up, I can imagine it will be great to use in the mornings rather than the evenings as its citrus scent will certainly be uplifting and wake you up rather quickly. The full size of the Citrus Shower gel retails for £8.00.

Number 4 Non-Aerosol Hairspray 43ml

I'm a sucker for trying out new hair products and this non aerosol hairspray is certainly intriguing. Number 4 is a haircare brand defined by its signature Liquid Complexes and it's botanical ingredients which work together to give impressive results. The Non Aerosol Hair Spray gives a flexible, strong hold, natural movement and boasts a humidity resistant formula with a shine rich finish. Plus, the packaging is earth-friendly. You can't say fairer than that. The full size of the hairspray retails for £18.50.

Delarom Acquaconfort Mask 15ml

I have always been abit shy when it comes to trying different skincare products until I started getting some amazing skincare products in my previous Birchbox's, which have all seemed to work wonders on my skin, so I'm super excited to try the face mask from Delarom. All you have to do is apply the mask to clean skin, leave on for 5-10 minutes and wipe off. It will rehydrate your skin and leave it looking radiant and refreshed, sounds good to me!!! The full size Mask retails for £24.00.

Twistband

Ive always been curious to see if Twistbands are as good as everyone says they are, they claim to keep your hair secure without snagging strands or leaving ugly creases. I'm sure it will come in handy at some point. Twistbands come in a pack of 6 and retail for £10.00.

Overall I think this months Birchbox is rather average, however I will get use out of everything in my box so it doesnt seem all bad really, I just wish it was slightly more festive hehe.
