I'm pretty sure if your into watching beauty, fashion and lifestyle related video's on YouTube that you've all heard of Zoella (Zoe Sugg) before, I started reading her blog and watching her video's years ago and since then she's had so much success and released her own pampering range named 'Zoella Beauty' you go girl ha ha. I did buy a couple of things from the Zoella Beauty line last year and really enjoyed using them and recently Zoe has launched a brand new 'Tutti Fruity' line with Summer in mind, obviously I had to treat myself to a couple of things from the line so I decided to pick up the Scrubbing Me Softly Soothing Body Scrub (review coming soon), Bath Lily and the Kissy Missy Lip Balm which is what I'll be reviewing today!
The Kissy Miss Lip Balm (£3.00) comes in a cute plastic pot with a screw lid that has the Zoella
logo adorned on it, it's the perfect size for your handbag/makeup bag and the screw lid stays on really well so you don't
have to worry about it coming undone what so ever. The balm itself is a lot
different than I expected, I was thinking it would have the texture of Vaseline but it doesn't what so ever, instead its quite a hard, solid balm that requires you to work your finger on the surface to kind of melt it. Once applied on the lips it feels lovely and smooth and so moisturised, I think it will be really beneficial during the winter months when your pout is really dry and needs a boost of moisture.
One of my favourite things about this lip balm is the pigmentation, it's so opaque and looks like you've applied lipstick to your lips not a lip balm, you can either apply one thin layer of the balm for a subtle pink tint or two thin layers will give you a fully opaque, hot pink pout which is so girly
and fun. The colour does leave a slight stain on the lips so it wears really well and lasts for hours. As for the scent... The balm is enriched with extracts of Acai
and Blueberry and is suppose to have the Tutti Fruity scent that flows through out the entire new collection however I don't get that at all, instead all I get is vanilla, it actually smells a lot like a MAC lipstick to be honest which smell amazing so that's good enough for me.
Overall I do really like Zoella's Kissy Missy Lip Balm, it's great to throw in your handbag for on the go and I love how moisturising and nourishing it is, I would say that I think it is aimed more towards the younger generation but that doesn't bother me or take away from the fact its a good lip balm so yeah, I really like it!
