Everyday Festive Make-Up Look

Hey girlie's!!!

Today I thought I'd share with you all what make-up I've been loving to wear on a daily basis so far in December, plus I realised I hadn't actually done a make-up look post in a while (naughty me) so I thought I'd go for it. The look I've been loving is flawless looking skin, a very soft gold eye with a bright red matte lip, I think the combination of the gold eye and red lip is lovely throughout December especially over the festivities.

Anywhooo onto what make-up I used to create this look...

To perfect my base I buffed in Estee Lauder's Double Wear Foundation in Fresco using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush, I love this foundation as it provides amazing coverage without looking cakey or too much, I then went on to conceal my dark under eye circles with my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1 fair. Then to set everything into place I used my Vichy Loose Setting Powder, I then finished off my base with a small amount of my Deborah Milano Blush in 05 Cherry.

I then went on to do my eyes, my favourite part he he...

I started off by packing the shade 'Half Baked' from the Urban Decay Naked Palette all over my lid and softly blended the edges, I then took the shade 'Buck' which is matte light brown and blended that through the crease, I didn't want to go to mad with the crease work as this is a day time look so I wanted it be quite subtle. I then used my Collection Extreme Felt Tip Liner in Black to line my upper lash line and added a small flick just to extend the eye ever so slightly. I lined my waterline with my Barry M Bold Black Gel Eyeliner and then took an angled brush with a small amount of 'Darkhorse' from the Naked Palette and used that sparingly under the lower lash line, I then finished of with a coat of  Rimmel Scandleyes Retro Glam Mascara

For the lips I started off by added some lip balm just to soften up the lips and get them nice and moisturised, I do this before I even apply any make-up at all as it gives the balm time to work. I then popped on my MUA Matte Lipstick in Scarlet Siren, its a gorgeous bright red that just screams Christmassy lips to me ha ha.

You could easily turn this daytime look into an evening look by added a darker shade through the crease and smoking it out or you could pack some loose gold pigment on the eye lid which would look pretty and sparkly. You could also add a darker more vampy lip and extend the liner, I could go on forever he he but in a nutshell its a very easy look to create either for daytime or for the evening.

I hope you liked my easy everyday festive red and gold make-up look, any feedback would be great, I'm in no way a make up artist but I do try my best he he!!!

What make-up look will you be wearing over the festivities??? I'd love to know.

Rimmel Space Dust Nail Polish | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

Texture effect nail polishes seem to be everywhere at the moment and their certainly proving to be a hit with me, I love them!!! I've tried Barry M's offering and they where OK but whilst in Superdrug the other day I noticed Rimmel had released their Space Dust Collection, which consists of 5 sparkling shades for Autumn/Winter. The shades I decided to pick up where....

Luna Love- A bright pink fuchsia shade which is crammed full of pink and silver finely milled holographic glitters.

Moon Walking- A gorgeous purple shade with finely milled silver holographic shimmers running through it but also has some added larger glitters running through it, its so so twinkle though, I love it.

Aurora- My favourite out of the 3, its a gorgeous soft pink shade crammed full with micro shimmers.

As the Space Dust Collection are textured polishes they do feel ever so slightly sandy/gritty on the nails, personally I really like the effect and I think it makes the glittery polishes more eye catching too. As for application.... All of the Space Dust polishes I picked up went on evenly with no bubbling or streaking and only needed one coat to be completely opaque, which really surprised me considering they are all sparkly/shimmery polishes, I do like to apply 2 coats though for extra lasting power.

I must admit I did wonder if textured polishes would be a 'once you've tried one, you've tried them all' scenario, but I've noticed a big difference between Rimmels Space Dust polishes and the Barry M Textured polishes and I have to say Rimmel is by far my favourite out of the two. Rimmel Space Dust polishes are crammed with finely milled micro glitters which makes them less sandy and rough feeling on the nails and alot more sparkly, the Barry M Textured polishes have bigger glitters within the polish and as they dry matte meaning they don't have as much sparkle, and you know I love me some sparkle ha ha.

Overall I'm super impressed with Rimmels Space Dust polishes, they really are lovely. I would highly recommend them for this time of year as I think they can look really festive and because they are sparkly they will be perfect for the party season too, and after Christmas they will be nice to use on as an accent nail, they have a multitude of uses he he.

You can find the Rimmel Space Dust polishes in Superdrug and Boots for £3.99 each.

Don't forget I currently giving away some Nanshy Make-up Brushes, you can enter the giveaway here.

Birchbox December 2013

Hey girlie's!!!

It's that time again... Birchbox time!!!! Ha ha... I was really looking forward to receiving this months box as I'm still getting used to Birchbox and the way they work after I unsubscribed from Glossy box a few monthes back, I've absolutely loved the last few Birchbox's I've received, but I have to say this monthes box is slightly mediocre and not as festive as I would have liked, that being said their are still some great bits in the box to try , also as Birchbox have just teamed up with BaubleBar a US jewellery store, they popped in a $20 gift card (approx £12) to spend on their website which I think is a nice little Christmas treat.

Anywhooo onto the little treasures I received inside my December Birchbox...

Nail Rock Nail Velvet in Burgundy
I'm so excited to try this out, textured nails and nail polishes seem to be everywhere at the moment but the Velvet Effect nails I'm yet to try. I love the deep purple shade I received as it will be perfect for this time of year and the effect seems simple enough to create, simply apply 2 coats of the nail polish, then dip your nails into the little pot of nail velvet, allow 15-20 minutes to fully dry, and then voila!!! This is the full size and retails for £6.99.

Alima Pure Luminous Shimmer Eyeshadow in Chai
Alima Pure isn't a brand I'm familiar with but I have to admit their all natural mineral eyeshadow is amazing!!! I tried it straight away after opening my box and immediately fell in love. The shade I received is 'Chai' which is a gorgeous Rose Gold shade, perfect for this time of year. You can use the eyeshadow dry for a more subtle shimmery look or use it wet for a more vibrant intense look. The full size of 'Chai' retails for £12.50.

Korres Citrus Shower Gel 50ml
I always like trying new shower gels so the Korres Citrus Shower gel will certainly get used up, I can imagine it will be great to use in the mornings rather than the evenings as its citrus scent will certainly be uplifting and wake you up rather quickly. The full size of the Citrus Shower gel retails for £8.00.

Number 4 Non-Aerosol Hairspray 43ml
I'm a sucker for trying out new hair products and this non aerosol hairspray is certainly intriguing. Number 4 is a haircare brand defined by its signature Liquid Complexes and it's botanical ingredients which work together to give impressive results. The Non Aerosol Hair Spray gives a flexible, strong hold, natural movement and boasts a humidity resistant formula with a shine rich finish. Plus, the packaging is earth-friendly. You can't say fairer than that. The full size of the hairspray retails for £18.50.

Delarom Acquaconfort Mask 15ml
I have always been abit shy when it comes to trying different skincare products until I started getting some amazing skincare products in my previous Birchbox's, which have all seemed to work wonders on my skin, so I'm super excited to try the face mask from Delarom. All you have to do is apply the mask to clean skin, leave on for 5-10 minutes and wipe off. It will rehydrate your skin and leave it looking radiant and refreshed, sounds good to me!!! The full size Mask retails for £24.00.

Twistband
Ive always been curious to see if Twistbands are as good as everyone says they are, they claim to keep your hair secure without snagging strands or leaving ugly creases. I'm sure it will come in handy at some point. Twistbands come in a pack of 6 and retail for £10.00.

Overall I think this months Birchbox is rather average, however I will get use out of everything in my box so it doesnt seem all bad really, I just wish it was slightly more festive hehe.

What did you get in your Birchbox this month girlie's??? I'd love to know.
