December Favourites

 Hey girlie's!!!

I cant quite believe its that time again.... December favourites time!!! Did you all have a sparkling Christmas??? Did Santa leave you lots of beauty treats haha??? It's gone so quick!!! Anywhoo today I thought I would share with you all my favourite beauty products I've been loving throughout this festive month... So here goes...

Rimmel Space Dust Nail Polishes
How gorgeous are these polishes!!! I bought them about 2 weeks ago and I've been wearing them constantly, they are just so pretty and perfect for the party season. My favourite is Aurora closely followed by Moon Walking ha ha. You can read my full review of the Space Dust polishes here.

MAC Quad Palette
For the last few months MAC's Satin Taupe and Naked Lunch have been my go to eye shadows as they just work so well together. They are such versatile shades, you can create lots of different looks with them not to mention the quality/lasting power of the eye shadows is incredible. But be warned these little MAC palettes are addictive, once you buy one you want to keep buying eyeshadows all the time as having an empty space in your palette is torture ha ha.

Dr Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant
I got this little beauty in my October Birchbox and even though its only a sample size it has lasted me ages. It's basically an amazing skin exfoliant that I've been using twice a week and the improvement in my skins appearance in phenomenal, my skin is just so clear and near enough perfect! It's a shame the full size is a whopping £67.00, but I love it that much that I might splurge and treat myself, I could always put my Birchbox points towards it to he he.

MUA Matte Lipstick in Scarlet Siren
Its not a huge shock to see an MUA product in my favourites as I just love MUA, and their matte lipsticks have certainly been a hit with me. Throughout October and November I used the shade Wild Berry alot but in December I've been loving Scarlet Siren, it just goes beautifully with a gold eye look and looks so festive and christmassy and lets face it for £1.00 you cant go wrong.

Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara
Another goodie from my Birchbox that I've been addicted to is the Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara in Black. This mascara is great if you like incredibly long lashes, and as I have quite small eyes anything that will make my eyes look bigger is fab. When using the Long Lash mascara my eyelashes are so super long to the point where I've been asked if they where in actual fact my real lashes ha ha.

V05 Plump It Up Dry Backcombing Spray
This stuff is incredible!!! I hate backcombing my hair as its such a chore, not to mention how much it damages your hair but I do love abit of added volume at my roots so this stuff is like magic in a can for me haha. You simply give the can a good shake before use then spray evening on dry hair, including your roots, I then rub and jujj where ive sprayed the backcombing spray and then your left with loads of volume, woohoo!!!

What's been your favourite beauty products this month??? I'd love to know!!!

I will doing my 'What I Got For Christmas 2013' post very soon girlie's so look out for that!!

Don't forget Im currently holding a Nanshy Eye Brush Set Giveaway, you can enter here.

Birchbox November 2013

Hey girlie's!!!

It's that time again... Birchbox time!!!! Ha ha... I was really looking forward to receiving this months box as this is just my second Birchbox after I unsubscribed from Glossy box, so I'm still getting used to it, I absolutely loved last months box which was my first box and I have to say I love this months box too, woohoo I'm one happy Hayley!!!

Anywhooo onto the little treats I received inside my November Birchbox...

Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara
If lasts months Laura Mercier treat wasn't enough, Birchbox have now thrown in the Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara!!! The mascara claims to be smudge free and lengthening for a wide eyed, fluttery look, sounds fabulous doesn't it? The wand itself is very slim so I think its going to be great to get to those hard to reach lashes and will be great for the lower lashes too. Im super exciting to try the mascara that's for sure, it feels like such a treat so thank you Birchbox. The full size of the mascara retails for £18.50.

Chella Highlighter Pencil 1.4g
I must admit I've never heard of Chella before, but I'm really happy I got their Ivory Lace Highlighter. You can use the highlighter pencil on your brow bone, cheekbones and the inner corners of your eyes but what I particularly like to use the pencil for is on the waterline to give you that natural awakened eye look, I did this straight away after opening my box and loved it, obviously with it being a highlighter your probably not suppose to use it on your waterline but it worked fine on me with no reaction, I do love getting the most out of my products ha ha. The highlighter pencil retails for £15.95.

Molton Brown Ylang-Ylang Body Lotion 30ml
Ive heard alot about Molton Brown but I've never tried anything from them but I'm looking forward to giving their newly reformulated body lotion a go, it smells amazing and is great for this time of year, as we all need a nice body moisturiser in the winter months. The full size of the body lotion retails for £18.00.

Weleda Replenishing Oat Shampoo 18ml
Another product I'm super excited to try is the gentle replenishing oat shampoo, the shampoo contains nourishing organic jojoba oil which will smooth, reduce breakage and improve suppleness. I'm really expected good things for the shampoo as I've tried Weleda products in the past and loved them. The full size of the shampoo retails for £8.95.

English Laundry Eau De Parfum 2ml
I must admit I did do abit of a grumpy huff when I saw a perfume sample in my Birchbox, perfume samples do usually annoy me however this one from Christopher Wicks smells gorgeous, its notes include quince, jasmine petals and musk. The full size of the perfume retails from £16.00.

Lifestyle Extra- Pukka Herbs Selection Of Teas
I love the little extras Birchbox throw in, to me it just seems like your getting alot more for your money which is always good. This months lifestyle extra is very appropriate for this time of year as its a selections of Pukka Herbs Tea, I received the three cinnamon tea, perfect for the Autumn/Winter, the gorgeous earl grey tea and the elderberry & echinacea tea, all of which are organic. I'm definitely putting the kettle on in a minute he he. The Pukka Herbs Tea retails for £2.29.

Beauty Goodie- Birchbox Pencil Sharpener
I was so happy to see this little sharpener in my Birchbox as it's just what I needed. I haven't got a pencil sharpener big enough for my chubby style eyeshadow crayons as I just haven't got round to buying one and its been so frustrating, I'm over the moon now as I can sharpen until my hearts content ha ha.

Overall I'm super happy with the contents of my second Birchbox , every single thing in my box I like and I know I will get use out of everything too.

What did you get in your Birchbox this month girlie's??? I'd love to know.

Birchbox October 2013

Hey girlie's!!!

Today is a very exciting day, why you might be asking??? Well... I got my very first Birchbox and I couldn't be happier with it's contence.

You may be wondering if I will still be doing my monthly Glossybox unboxing post's, sadly I wont, after the October box I almost immediately unsubscribed from them. I had been umming and arhing for some time as to whether i wanted to switch beauty boxes and after Glossyboxe's constant disappointment recently the time had come to say farewell....

Anywhooo onto the little treats I received inside my October Birchbox...

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 14.7ml

Firstly..WOW!!! I honestly couldn't believe it when I saw a Laura Mercier product in my box let alone it being a Tinted Moisturiser!!! I received the shade 'Sand' which I did think was going to be slightly too dark for me, but thank goodness it's not. The Tinted Moisturiser has a sheer, lightweight formula that will add a gorgeous healthy glow to the skin whilst moisturising at the same time, it also has the added bonus of SPF 20. I literally cant wait to start this little beauty. The full size of the Tinted Moisturiser retails for £33.00 for 40ml.

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant 7.5g

I'm really looking forward to this Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant, I've heard so many good things about it. This skin exfoliant is packed full of crystals and lactic acid and will polish away dead skin cells to brighten up all skin types, reduce the appearance of fine lines, acne marks and discolouration. All you have to do is pop a small amount onto damp skin, massage gentle for 1-2 minutes and then rinse. This sounds like a great little product to try and very luxurious too. The fill size of the Skin Exfoliant retails for £67.00.

KMS California Silk Sheen Styling Creme 50ml

I love receiving hair products in beauty boxes so this excites me alot. This KMS California styling creme has a lightweight formula and provides heat protection and control, its great if you suffer from any dreaded frizz, which sometimes can happen to me as I curl my hair often. All you have to do is warm the product between your hands and apply to towel dryed hair and say goodbye to horrible frizz he he. The full size of the Styling Creme retails for £15.50 for 150ml.

theBalm Cosmetics Stainiac 1.2ml

I must admit when I saw a lip/cheek stain in my Birchbox I wasn't jumping for joy as I had received the mememe one in my October Glossybox, however after using theBlam's offering I definitely prefer it over the mememe one. Most lip/cheek stains have that horrid water consistency which I can find difficult to work with and blend, but the 'Staniac' tint has a gel like formula making it so much easier to work with. I also love the fact it comes out quite sheer allowing you to go as dark as you like. The full size of the Stainiac retails for £10.00

Dr. Lipp Nipple Balm For Lips 3ml

Another product I'm happy too see in my box, although I cant help but crease up at the fact its called a nipple balm he he. I did receive this in a Glossybox a while back but I love it sooo much I'm glad to have another one to keep me going. The Nipple Balm for lips is a very thick, 100% natural , multi purpose balm, It helps heal chapped lips, burns, eczema, extreme dry skin patches and the list seems to go on and on. I'm going to purchase the full size of this as its just so versatile and I know ill use it alot. The full size of this retails for £11.50 for 15ml.

Beauty Extra - Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream 3× 3ml

The first of Birchbox's extras is a beauty extra, they've popped in 3 sachets of the Egyptian Magic all purpose skin cream with 3ml's coming in each sachet. I'm looking forward to using this on the ends of my hair more than anything, as yesss... don't be alarmed you can use this on your hair. The directions say to pop some of the cream into the palms of your hands and rub together until it turns into an oil. Sounds like a cool little product to try and I love the fact the cream is made from just six natural ingredients. The full size tub of this retails for £29.00.

Lifestyle Extra - Birchbox Gel Eye Mask

The lifestyle extra this month is a nice soothing Gel Eye Mask. I'm happy I received this as I currently don't even own an eye mask, this will be nice to just pop in the fridge for those days when I haven't had enough sleep the night before and my eyes are abit puffy. The Eye Mask is available on the Birchbox e-shop for £10.00.

So that's the goodies I received in my very first Birchbox. Overall I'm super impressed, I think the lifestyle and beauty extras make such great little addictions to the box and I love the fact all the products come in a little drawstring bag too, not only can I use the box for storage but I can use the little drawstring bag for storage or travel too. I cant wait for the November box now he he.

What did you think of your Birchbox this month girlie's??? Id love to know!!!
