Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hey beaut's!

I've always lusted after the Zoeva Eyeshadow Palettes and last year for my birthday my Mum and Dad kindly bought me the Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette which just looks so god damn beautiful! My birthday was actually last August so I've had plenty of time testing out this palette, I totally forgot to review it and then recently found the images of the palette on my memory card so I thought it was about time I gave the Cocoa Blend Palette a cheeky review.
The Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette (£15.50) is a chocolate lovers dream containing 10 eyeshadows inspired by warm truffle colours, delicate nougat shades and tones of shimmering marzipan, sounds good enough to eat doesn't it he he! The 10 shades within the palette are mostly warm toned with golds, bronze an chocolate browns in the mix which and all have an array of finishes including matte, satin, duo chrome, pearlescent and glitter so theres plenty of choice when it comes to finishes.

The formula of each eyeshadow within the Cocoa Blend Palette is wear the party is at, the pigmentation is out of this world - I'm talking insanely good, each eyeshadow blends out an absolute dream because of their ultra-micronised formula and they last all day without creasing which is a HUGE bonus for me because I do tend to get oily eyelids from time to time. The only negative I have to say about this palette is that I've found that some the shades have quite a lot of fall out, they seem to be quite powdery when picking them up with my makeup brush which is quite odd as their almost creamy to swatch, and if I haven't tapped out the excess eyeshadow really well then I do get some fallout, this in no way faults the quality of the eyeshadows as they are brilliant but it can be annoying at times but other than that the formula is luscious.

As you can see from the swatches the shades are stunning and so rich in pigment! Theres quite a few shades within the Cocoa Blend Palette that are slight dupes too, Warm Notes which is the red-brown shade really reminds me of MAC's Cranberry, Subtle Blend is very much like Smog from Urban Decay and Pure Ganache has a definite Half Baked vibe also from Urban Decay, and finally Delicate Acidity really reminds me of my MAC Satin Taupe eyeshadow. Overall I think this is a stunning palette and for the £15.50 price tag it's an absolute win, I'm now lusting after the Rose Golden Palette and might treat myself with my Christmas pennies he he.

Have you got the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette beaut's? What did you think? I'd love to know.

  1. Absolutely love this palette - I got the Zoeva en taupe and smokey for Christmas as well. I can thoroughly recommend them both! I've been tempted by rose gold too though!

  6. This is such a beautiful palette. I got it some months back and I have not been able to put it down, as you can create so many looks with it! However I have not been tempted enough by any other palette from them yet, I am now waiting for the Spring collection, as they have 4 new palettes coming out.

Feel free to check out my blog also if you have some time :)
