My MAC Lipstick Collection So Far....

Hi beaut's!

You may remember quite some time ago I did a post on 'My MAC Collection So Far', but since then I decided that I wanted to start collecting Mac lipsticks so I thought I would share with you all what shades I have so far. This is in no way going to be a large Mac Lipstick Collection, I read some peoples collections and I'm left lusting after their 30 Mac lipsticks when I'm over here with my 8 ha ha but I'm so keen on adding to my collection and I thought documenting what I have so far would be kind of cool.

From Left to Right - Brave, Faux, Jubilee, Mehr, Syrup, Viva Glam V, Viva Glam I, Whirl

As you can see I'm pretty much obsessed with pink toned lipsticks, I just find they suit me the best and go with most makeup looks I do. I do have a couple of nudes that I would say are my holy grail nudes because I find theres only a select few shades of nude that suit me. Anywhoooo onto the shade rundown....

Brave - Arhhhh Brave, this is actually my all time favourite lipstick out of all the lipsticks I own, it's a medium pink that has been tinged with brown and its so versatile, I can wear Brave literally anytime of day to any occasion. The finish of Brave is a satin which is my favourite of all the finishes, I just find satins feel like a semi-matte but they aren't drying in the slightest and they last on me for hours.

Faux - Faux is actually very similar to Brave but I find it's a smidge lighter, it's a pretty muted mauve-pink with that gorgeous satin finish that I love. I find that both Brave and Faux are very "Kylie Jenner" esk so if your love that look as much as I do then you defitnly need to pick either one of them up!

Jubilee - If your looking for sheer nude beige with slight peahcy tones then Jubilee will be for you. I opted for this shade a little while back because I wanted something nude that was quite sheer and I knew a lustre finish would help me achieve that, opaque nudes really don't suit at all you see.

Mehr - I have been obsessed with wearing Mehr at the moment, it's described as a dirty pink shade which I think is because it is quite a deep shade of pink with a slight brown-y undertone, again I find this great to wear day or night for any occasion, it goes with everything. The finish is matte and I have to say Mac's matte finishes really impressed me, they go on quite creamy and don't drag on the lips at all and set to a comfortable matte finish without being drying.

Syrup - Mac describe Syrup as a cloudy pink but on me it looks more like a very sheer dusky pink/berry shade, the finish is a lustre which I love because they are so light, smooth, moisturising glossy and non-sticky, they actually feel more like a lip balm to be honest however that does hinder the lasting power but I don't mind regular top ups when the shade feels and looks so nice.

Viva Glam V -  Viva Glam V is such a gorgeous neutral pink shade that actually suits my skin tone really well, it does have some ever so slight gold glitters running through it but nothing over the top and the lustre finish again provides that moisturising, glossy feel without being sticky! I would say Viva Glam V is my all time favourite nude lipstick and as you can see from the bullet pictured above I've nearly used it all up, arrhhh sad face!

Viva Glam I - Viva Glam I is a deep, vampy red shade with brown undertones and has a lovely matte finish. I only really find use for this lipstick on evenings out because it just looks so dramatic on me and is such a statement lip, it is so beautiful though!

Whirl - Lastly I have Whirl which is my most recent mac lipstick purchase, in fact I haven't even had it 2 weeks yet. Whirl is such a 90's throwback shade for me and that's why I was drawn to it so much, its described as a "dirty rose" and is a muted, medium-dark rosy brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. I actually like to wear this quite sheer so once Ive applied it I use a cotton bud just to really blend it into my lips, this way it looks a lot more of a stubtle rosy brown shade than just a dramatic brown!
And there you have it beaut's, all of the Mac lipsticks I currently own. I cant wait to build up more of a collection so I'd love some recommendations.

What's your favourite Mac lipstick beaut's?

February Beauty Favourites ♥

Hey beaut's!

Its that time again.... Monthly favourites time! I cant quite believe how quick February has whizzed past, it honestly scares me that the months go by so quickly! Is anyone else not feeling this cold winter weather anymore? I'm totally over it now, bring on the Spring, warm sunshine, blue sky's and pretty flowers ha ha. Anywhoo onto what I've been loving this month beauty wise!

Makeup Revolution Flawless Eyeshadow Palette

My first favourite this month has to be my Makeup Revolution Flawless Eyeshadow Palette, I mean just look how beautiful it is. The palette itself contains 32 eye shadows in gorgeous neutral shades ranging from browns, creams, golds, coppers, bronze and even cranberry shades, it's so pretty. I've literally been obsessed with using this palette everyday over the last month or so and really cant fault it, the quality's amazing and theres just so many shades to play with, I love it!

Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Cream
Sticking with Makeup Revolution their new Ultra Strobe Cream has become a makeup bag essential for me, I wear it everyday underneath my foundation for the glow from within look, it creates a nice glowy base and just makes my features pop and look more highlighted, I love it!

MAC Brave Lipstick
Now I know I've featured this lippie in a favourites before but I've literally worn this little beauty most days during February. Brave is my all time favourite lipstick and I'm going to have to repurchase it soon because I'm nearly out, it's honestly the perfect shade of lipstick that goes with any makeup look for any occasion and can be worn anytime of day, as I said before I've been wearing it pretty much everyday whether I pop to the shop, go out for the day or even at work, I love it!

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Hand Food
The Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Hand Food has been my best friend recently, the cold winter weather has really been battering my hands leaving them sooo dry, sore and they've even started to chap and bleed, but my trusty tubes of Hand Food have come to the rescue and really helped my hands look and feel normal again!

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in Prickly Pear
I had a good sort out of all of my nail polishes a few weeks ago and got out all my Spring shades again and one I've been addicted to wearing over the last couple of weeks is Barry M's Prickly Pear - It's a gorgeous lavender shade that looks stunning on the nails, and I'll certainly be rocking this a lot more during the Spring.

Real Techniques Multi Complexion Sponge
Finally this month is my trusty Real Techniques Multi Complexion Sponge which I've been using a lot recently, not only to apply my foundation but I've been using it to blend my concealer, cream blush and even with my setting powder. It just blends everything in so flawlessly and leaves my skin looking pixel perfect and not cakey in the slightest. Also I have a HUGE cleaning tip for you beauties, if you struggle to get your multi complexion sponge squeaky clean just pop it in the washing machine and then leave it to dry in a warm place on top of a towel, it works an absolute treat and comes out looking brand new, obviously be careful not to put it in with washing that has alot of zips as that may snag on the sponge, I just throw mine in with my towels or bedding and voila!!

What have you been loving this month beaut's?? I'd love to know

2015 Beauty Favourites

Hey beaut's!

As we are now well into the new year I thought I'd do a little round up of a few beauty products that have become either favourites of mine or staple products that I repurchased over and over during 2015. To be honest I could of put silly amounts of products in this post as I really have loved a heck of a lot of beauty products in 2015 but here are a handful that I have chosen....

Firstly I have to start with my beloved Real Techniques Brushes and Complexion Sponge, without them I'm sure my makeup would look a horrible cakey mess. My collection started off with the famous 'Buffing Brush' a few years ago and ever since then I've not turned back and I've tried to collect as many of the brushes as possible and now have a pretty awesome collection! They honestly do make a huge difference in the way my makeup looks and feels, everything just looks so flawless and I'm sure I'll be loving each and every brush throughout 2016 too.

I couldn't of been without my trusty MAC Quad in 2015, it contains the shades All That Glitters, Satin Taupe, Naked Lunch and Omega and I use every single shade within the palette more or less every other day as I love them so much, theres something about MAC eye shadows that just really work for me, theres no creasing, no fallout, they are so easy to work with, blend out a dream and last really well. Next up is my liquid liner bestie the Soap & Glory Supercat Liner, as far as liquid liners go this is so easy to use, super black, long lasting and I'd definitely recommend it for beginners because of it's pen shaped nib, it just feels like your drawing he he. The Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara was a huge hit with me 2015, I actually waited a good few months after this launched to try it because me and Maybelline mascara's never get a long for some odd reason but the Lash Sensational is amazing, it's much like Benefits Roller Lash and give me so much length and separation but also volumises and defines at the same time, I love it!

I think Barry M had a great year in 2015, we saw them launch lots of new makeup lines and most of them I loved, especially their Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit and their Flawless Light Reflecting Concealer. I've spoken about the contour kit so many times but it just has the most amazing cool toned contour shade which I've actually hit pan on and the bronzer and highlighter are fab to. The Flawless Light Reflecting Concealer I've actually repurchased four times during 2015 so I think that pretty much speaks for itself.

For lips in 2015 I fell deeply in love with two lipstick in particular, the first one is my trusty MAC Brave Lipstick which I got for my birthday last August, it's honestly the perfect shade of lipstick that goes with any makeup look for any occasion and can be worn anytime of day and honestly I've been wearing it pretty much everyday since August! Before my addiction to my MAC lippie started I wore my L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick in the shade Fuchsia Declaration constantly, it's such a pretty pink shade and the formula of these L'Oreal lipsticks is insanely good!

Lastly I have a skin favourite and a hair favourite! For skin,  I found Superdrugs Simply Pure Hydrating Serum on offer one day so I thought I'd give it a go and I love it, it's just as good as high end serums I've tried and if you have dry sensitive skin I'd highly recommend it. For hair, it has to be my Tangle Teezer, I have long thick hair which I wear wavy or curly most days so it tends to get super knotty and tangled and my trusty Tangle Teezer makes such light work of getting through it all without pulling half of the hair on my head out.

What where your 2015 beauty favourites beaut's? I'd love to know!
