Sally Hanson Nail Shine Miracle Top Coat | Review

Hey girlie's!!

If there's one thing i love is nice painted nails but sometimes the upkeep is hard and i hate it when i get the odd chip here and there so I've been on the look out for a good inexpensive top coat for a while. Whilst on my shopping adventures i picked up 'Sally Hanson's Nail Shine Miracle' a top coat that claims to reduce wear and tear for up to 10 days, well that was me completely sold....

I applied 1 thick coat on top of my original nail polish as directed and loved the immediate high shine glossy finish, it took a good 10-15 to dry completely without being tacky or me being worried id smudge it, so this would be no good if your in an absolute rush... Onto the lasting power, i found this top coat lasted good 6-7 days on me before it started to chip although the glossy finish wore off within a few days of application. I'm actually pleased with how well the top coat lasted considering I'm quite a hands on person, i do lots of housework and washing up and am constantly using my hands at work so my nails do go through quite alot.

As you can see from the before and after pictures on Day 1 my nails where looking nice and vibrant and glossy, by Day 7 i had some slight chipping at the top of my nail and the polish doesn't look as glossy or as vibrant but it did keep quite good coverage of colour over my nail so i am quite impressed, its certainly the longest lasting top coat I've ever tried that's for sure.

I picked mine up when i made a Fragrance Direct order for £2.99 which i thought was a very reasonable price for a good top coat. The only real downside for me was the drying time as I'm always on the go but other than that i like it.

Have your tried any good top coats??? Let me know your thoughts???

Glossybox July 2013 | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

So its Glossybox time again and i cant tell you how excited I've been waiting for this box to arrive, theres something about a summer themed box that just gets me all happy. It also couldn't have come at a better time considering the temperatures are souring in the UK at the moment so it all seems rather fitting for the 'Seaside Splash' box.

Last month its fair to say i was pretty disappointed with the boxes contents but this month Glossybox are back on form and i love my goodies, anyway onto what inside......

Alterna Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist 25ml

I was super excited to see this, I've been wearing my hair curly or wavy everyday recently so I'm always on the look out for a good tousling spray to help give me some more texture. Ive only used this once so far but i like it already. I sprayed it into my dry hair (you can also spray this into wet hair for a more beachy look) and gave it a good scrunch and it instantly gave me wavy texturised locks without weighing my hair down or leaving it crunchy and sticky so I'm really looking forward to experimenting more with this. The full size of 125ml retails for £23.oo.

Coola Mineral Face Sunscreen Unscented 7ml

Ive got high hopes for this little beauty. Its an organic facial sunscreen with SPF 20 that is hypoallergenic, free of parabens and packed with antioxidants. It provides complete UVA protection while soothing, toning and minimising pores, sounds amazing right!!!! I cant wait to try this out this week since the weathers going to be super hot and i definitely think I'm going to love it. The full size of 50ml retails for £29.99.

Anatomicals Spray Misty For Me Facial Spritz 100ml

Anatomicals Spray Misty For Me is a facial spritz that helps rehydrate and calm skin. When i first spritzed this i hated its lavender and peppermint scent but... it actually does make your skin look and feel instantly hydrated and refreshed. I think this would be perfect on holiday by the pool or on the beach, during flights and for general day to day use to just make you feel and look that little bit more refreshed. This is the full size and it retails for £6.00.

Essie Sleek Sticks in 02 Croc'n Chic

These gorgeous nail wraps are new to Essie and i cant wait to give them a go. I got 'Croc'n Chic' not the most summery option but i still like the affect. These seem so easy to use too, simply match the sticker size to your nail, peel them off an apply, before buffing away any excess with a nail file and they last up to 10 days too woohoo. These are a full size set and retail for £9.99 a packet.

Sleek Makeup Pout Paints in 'Milkshake' and 'Peek-A-Bloo' 8ml

I wasn't sure if i was supposed to get two of these or not ha ha but I'm glad i did as if id only got the blue one id have been gutted!!! I was totally miffed when i saw the Blue but as i looked into it more and noticed its meant for mixing to create different shades. I love Sleek Makeup as a brand but have never tried their 'Pout Paints' and after using 'Milkshake' I'm in love. They are highly pigmented lip stains that last for hours and smell so fruity too. Ill definitely get lots of use out of 'Milkshake' but not so sure on the Blue ha ha although when mixed together they create quite a pretty shade. Both of these are full size and retail at £4.99 each.

On a whole I'm super happy with what i received in this months box, even the design of the box itself it lush and i will be using it for storage in my bathroom.

Did you like this months box??? What did you receive???
