Rimmel Scandaleyes Show Off Mascara | Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

It's no secret that I'm abit of a mascara addict, I literally have two empty Glossy boxes full of mascaras, I just love them! So when I noticed that there was a mascara in Rimmels Scandaleyes collection that I didn't own I knew I just had to try it, so say hello to Rimmels Show Off Mascara*.
The main defining factor of this mascara is the wand! It's a uniquely shaped, plastic bristle wand which Rimmel claim that the flat side of the brush plumps lashes with show-stopping volume without a clump in sight, whilst the ball side/end lifts and curls your lashes for eyes that truly show-off. The mascara also has a flake-proof, smudge-proof formula which claims to last morning through too the night with scandalous volume and lift, for lashes that really show off! Sounds pretty amazing right and definitely everything I want from a mascara!

So does this mascara live up to it's claims... Well kind of... The formula of the mascara is very dry in the tube so it does take some work to apply but then dryer mascara are better for reducing the risk of clumps as you aren't slicking mascara all over the place and the Show Off Mascara rarely clumped during application which is a bonus. As far as volume and length go I am abit disappointed, when I saw the name Show Off in the mascara title I was honestly expecting super long lashes with volume in abundance but it really didn't do much for my lashes in that regard, don't get me wrong my lashes are slightly longer than my natural lashes and they do have a nice amount of lift and curve to them but I was expecting alot more. I do however love the fact this mascara is smudge-proof without being waterproof, it honestly stays on very well and doesn't budge all day and I never experienced any flaking or transferring at all which is great. As I said before the wand is one of those plastic, spiky bristle jobbies which I'm not a huge fan of as I they are so hard and spiky when you wriggle the brush at the root of your lashes and it can be quite a painful experience, however the show off wand is very easy to use and combs through my eyelashes lovely and the little rounded end makes getting to any hard to reach lashes a breeze.
Overall I'd say this is a pretty average mascara for volume and length but its great if your looking for a long lasting, smudge-proof, flake-proof mascara that gives your lashes a slight lift and curve. I also love the fuchsia packaging, it's just so girly and fun!

Rimmel Scandaleyes 'Rockin' Curves' Mascara | Review

Hey beaut's!

It's no secret that I'm abit of a mascara addict, I just love them! So when I saw Rimmel's Rockin' Curves Mascara in Wilkinson's a while back for the bargain price of £3.98 I just had to pick it up and try it for myself.

Firstly I think it's fair to say the Rockin' Curves packaging is pretty impressive and it definitely stands out from the crowd. It has the same large tube that almost all of the Rimmel Scandaleyes mascaras come in, but the barrel is textured to mimic a snake print effect and has an eye catching red and black design which I love.
The main defining factor of this mascara is the wand! The broken heart-shaped bristle brush is rather daunting when you first take it out of the tube, not only for it's unique shape but it's on the rather large side too, so any girlie's out there with smaller eyes like myself, might struggle to get to grips with the mascara application process at first as I know I did, but once your get to grips with how the brush works for your lashes it's absolutely fine. I tend to use the wand the way it's pictured below, I find using it that way on both eyes ensures I can reach every lash because the thin tip works it's magic by grabbing those hard-to-reach inner lashes, while the amplified base pulses my lashes with incredible volume and curve, just what I love and want from a mascara, it also saves on using 'scary' eyelash curlers too! I never really found the mascara clumpy during application, however whilst learning how the wand worked for me I did end up with the occasional splodge of mascara on my eyelid here and there but nothing major. Like I said before the brush is of the bristle variety, not plastic, which makes wriggling the wand at the root of my lashes easy and not painful at all, woohoo!
As for the Rockin' Curves staying power... I was really impressed, there was no smudging, running or flaking throughout the day with the two coats that I applied so no grumbles there. I didn't really feel that the volume and curve on my lashes dropped throughout the day either which is a bonus and something I always look for in a mascara due to my eyes being quite small, I like the extra volume to open up my eyes abit more.
Overall I am super impressed by Rimmel's Rockin' Curves Mascara, my lashes appeared longer, fuller and definitely have some gorgeous curves going on ha ha. I love the fact it doesn't flake throughout the day or transfer onto my brow bone and I think the special offer price (£3.98) I paid is such a bargain and I would of even paid full price for this because I think £6.99 is really reasonable for such a fantastic high street mascara.

Have you tried Rimmel's Rockin' Curves Mascara yet? What did you think?? I'd love to know your thoughts beaut's!

Rimmel Scandaleyes Precision Micro Eyeliner | Review

Hey girlie's!!!

Myself and liquid liner's have always had a love hate relationship, as much as I love the effect and the look of liquid liner I absolutely hate applying it as Ive always found it very tricky until last year when I finally mastered it, whoop whoop!!! After finally getting to grips with liquid liners I have found myself quite addicted to buying them to find the best, most easy to apply liquid liner that the high street have to offer. I'm thinking of doing a battle of the liquid liners style post soon or a best and worst but today I'm just going to share with you all my thoughts on Rimmels Scandaleyes Precision Micro Eyeliner.

The Scandaleyes Precision Micro Eyeliner features an ultra thin felt tip nib, giving you a super fine line which is great for those days when you want a less dramatic eyeliner look or if you have small eyelids like myself, this eyeliner will certainly work well and not take up so much lid space that thicker liners are prone to doing. The nib of this eyeliner is also very dense meaning its nice and sturdy giving you lots of control so you can create the perfect flick/wing. As for the eyeliners pigmentation... It's amazing, its an ultra black shade that applies completely black with one stroke, so theres no need to go over the line again and again, it also has a waterproof formula and claims to resist heat, sweat, flaking, smudging and lasts for up to 24 hours which I think is pretty fab especially in the warmer month's.

I have to admit to begin with I did find this eyeliner a little tricky to apply, as the nip is alot smaller than any of my liquid liners I wasn't used to it but after about my 3rd of 4th go I was fine, the felt tip nib was nice a sturdy upon application, I purely think it was just the smaller size nib that threw me off abit ha ha.

Overall I do really like this eyeliner, like I said before I think this will be great for anyone with smaller eyes with less lid space or even if you prefer a thinner more precise liner then this will be the for you, you aren't restricted to just having thin liner with the precision micro liner it just means building it up slightly.
