Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation Review ♥

Hey beaut's!

I'm constantly on the look out for that perfect foundation that ticks all the boxes which is also affordable and available on the high street, so when I saw that Maybelline has released a new foundation called the 'Dream Flawless Nude Foundation' I just new I had to give it a go.

The Dream Flawless Nude foundation is a lightweight liquid foundation that has an new formula that fuses seamlessly with the skin. It's claim is that the new concentrated pigments will give you a flawless coverage and the 12x finer texture will leave you with a perfectly nude finish and feel, sounds pretty amazing right??
The outer packaging of the Dream Flawless Nude Foundation is lovely, it comes in a glass, vase shaped bottle which looks super cute sat on a dressing table and has a unique-looking dropper applicator that's attached to the foundations screw on lid, it's unlike anything I've ever seen before. The dropper isn't a pipette which at first glance I thought it was, instead it's just a solid stick with a bulbous, round looking dropper thing attached at the end that allows the foundation to kind of drip off. Personally I don't really like this applicator, it's quite hard to get to grips with at first in terms of application, and I wouldn't suggest dotting the foundation around your face with the applicator itself for hygiene reasons so instead I just let the foundation drip on the back of my hand and apply it that way. The foundation itself has a very thin, runny texture and is lovely if your looking for something very lightweight on the skin that still has a slight amount of coverage to it, this isn't the type of foundation you'd want to use if you want to cover alot but it’s still good in terms of hiding redness/light blemishes and all those things that you want covered up in a natural-looking way. The finish of this foundation is definitely semi-matte, because of this I'd say the Dream Flawless Nude is very universal when it comes to skin type, I have quite dry skin and have no problems with the foundation clinging/exposing dry patches when used over the top of my usual daily moisturiser so that's a definite plus for me.
Overall I do love the whole idea and aim of this foundation, with Spring being here and Summer on the way something light on the skin is just what I'm looking for and that is something that the Dream Flawless Nude definitely achieves. It's also a very quick foundation to blend into the skin, I used a buffing brush and it literally takes me seconds to buff/blend it all into my skin which is a major plus as I'm always rushing to do my makeup before work. All in all I'd highly recommend giving this little beauty a go if you want something light on the skin, it's just gorgeous!

The Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation is available in 7 shades and is currently priced at £5.99 in Boots and £8.99 in Superdrug.

Have you tried the Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation beaut's?? What did you think?? I'd love to know.

  5. I've been wanting to try this foundation since it came out, but I've been waiting until I've used up what I already have first. Sounds like it is the ideal foundation for this summer :)

  6. I wanted to try this but I'm afraid that it would leave my face oily.
